Some of the Christmas Cacti are about ready to bloom in the upstairs window. There's still lots left in the garden blooming their little heads off.

deejay thank you for the offer, I would love to have a start of solid gold.
I will try to get the nonbloomers out in the mail on Monday. Tonight I get to see a friend for their birthday, and tomorrow is a preview of an exhibition of Yael Novak an artist I believe from Isreal, and of course Mom duty sometime both those days, then it will be Friday......rah rah.. Times flies when you are having fun! LOL.

DH bought a long wood stove for his building to try and heat it, sure hope this works. It will take wood up to 4 feet long pieces so we will see, we have lots of fallen old timber around us. Course all my dead pine trees but I don't think you are suppose to use pine.

Fruity still looks like summer at your place! I still have some Mums and some roses still trying to hang on.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Xena is beautiful. Do I have one? lol Susan your garden is still beautiful. It is suppose to get even colder here by the week end and my Angels are so close to bursting out all over. I think I am going to cover them at night and uncover in AM and hope that saves the blooms.
On the last thread there was a picture of the Brug seed pods. Was it 1 pod picture or are both the greens seed pods? I declare I know nothing about the plant except I want everyone I see or hear about.
Love you all!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think they were seed pods!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Sorry Faye, no Xena in your box. It has been struggling with some sort of disease for 2 years now. Since I can't cure it and don't know what it is I'm not spreading it around. If I ever get it fixed you'll get some.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Thank you Nita....I'm going out tomorrow and examine my Trumpets...who knows, I just might have seed pods and don't know it. Here I go getting excited again.
Good night all.
Love & hugs
Faye

Bonnie had a brug with a weird problem, she was debating on composting it even thought was blooming. it looked like that tomatoe virus, but we couldn't really tell.. she had it isolated.
I will send you some cherub and some frosty pink, deejay for the solid gold, does that sound good?

Summer still up in Virginia, I see.My flower beds are still blooming too, but I unearthed the splash salvias since the freeze is supposed to come tonight, I am making cuttings of it.
I have all the brugs in one room, this is only a part of it to show you. It used to be my son's room, he is 34 now and has his own place.

It is suppose to get below freezing here Sat. night and I just couldn't take a chance of loosing all my angels. The first picture is of Southern Bell. She is so short that her blooms would have touched the ground.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Would help if I didn't forget the picture.

Oh, I know it hurts to cut them back when they are blooming, but keep them in water, and maybe you will see a bloom?
Those do look like seed pods.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

look like pods to me, poor faye I know how you feel.. I am doing some cutting this weekend just to get some shape and forms I want. Did I ever send you back your first white? I wonder if that is who has been blooming all summer here..

Save me a YSY I sent it back to you earlier, and would love to have a cutting to play with again this winter. Faye, Do you have a Maya? I can't remember..

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I did not pollenate the brugs I guess the little buggies did the bruggies, so I don't know who Dad is...rofl... I believe those were seed pods you have in that pic, that is the way my big fat pod started out. Think I will post the pic on the brug forum and see what they say.

dahtzu, that is the tinest brug with all those blooms I know that was really had to cut it back, golly!

I so hope I get to play this weekend in the garden room and some in the yard, I need some mental time...rofl. We are suppose to be in the 60's and I still have bulbs to plant and I bought some more on sale the other day. Maybe I will stop and get some more I just love them in the spring so early and giving me some hope winter is over.

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Darn it! Sometimes these threads just "POOF!" they're gone. I hadn't read this one in a few days. Glad I found it.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Hello to all. another sad day for me. I have just finished butchering my Angels. All of them were about to and so many blooms...gosh they are 2 months behind and I know it is my fault. NEGLECT did not water enough and not nearly enough feeding. I will definitely do better next year.
Never again will I strip the stems of new growth. You wouldn't believe how many blooms the tiniest little bunch has. I will take the large leaves off only.
Susan & Bev. This pic. is of Adora, Bev. gave to me (thanks to Susan) at the RU. She was about to all over her self. Sure did hat to cut her.
I have plenty of My First White , Yard Sale Yellow , Southern Belle,Isabella,KBS(do not know what KBS means) K. Harris Pink, K. Harris White, & oops...another case of brain rot, just forgot the others. Will have to go to garage and take notes. My garage is full of cuttings
Sorry Nita, I was so excited, I forgot....postage coming your way.
