Mom's baked stuffed pork chops w/applesauce, mashed taters, corn and ice cream for dessert.....only cos there's a fire going in the fireplace. ^_^
What's on the menu today??
I think another batch of chili is in order for this weekend
Should be near 60 here on the weekend....always looking for suggestions to feed my Mom & sister. Sister is almost a vegetarian......everything has to be organic....sometimes I lie.
:)
Arroz con habichuelas. Smells good!
Is that a corn dish? Took French instead of Spanish.
Rice and beans. I took French too.
well today is 7 years for me and Randy... we got some Italian food... that's what happens when I FORGET the date... saw my reminder on my google calendar when I got home... good news is I was at a bagel place today with a co-worker... and saw Randy's favorite black & white cookies.. brought him home a few just out of chance... somewhat made the day special
Congrats!!
thanks... I had a strange encounter at work yesterday... I am changing areas at work... and was going over them with my co-worker.. mentioned I knew the one place because the karaoke bar Randy and I met at was on that block... must have been fate .... my co-worker stopped at a deli for lunch.. and the guy running the place is the old owner of the bar we met at... the place went under years ago... haven't seen him since... what's the chances of me speaking his name in the morning... and going to his lunch shop that same day????.. the whole period was very painful for the guy.. don't know the whole story but his wife left him right at the same time he lost the bar... more or less lost everything... but he claimed he didn't remember me or Randy (too painful maybe, more or less wouldn't look me in the eye either)... but I did thank him for owning the place we met at... and went on my way... very strange indeed
Wow! Freaky. Sad for him.
I thought it was arroz y frijoles????
Congrats! and very weird indeed.
frijoles are mexican beans, methinks
Made chilli, - out of practice, came out ok but not great, (1st time I made them since last winter).

We went to Applebees for dinner son's pick for his b-day....ugh I could feel my body swelling from all the sodium...ick We're really starting to hate the chain restaurants, much rather go to a place that is as close as you can get to home cooking.
Hey! cool! Thanks Jen!
- I stopped going to those chain restaurants a few years ago, they got really bad..
-don't think you want real " home cooking" - been out to some of those out West and they can get bad too. (lol)
sounds yummy Jen!!... thanks!!!
Thanks Jen, sounds great!!
I agree about the home cooking. Speaking of nothing fancy smancy, plain old meat loaf, baked potatoes and butternut squash. Yep I am in winter cooking mode already.
any left over? could be there for lunch:)
LOL Bill. Making it for supper, sorry. :)
there is always tomorrow
^_^
Chili sounds yummy, Jen! Happy for you & Randy, Allison! Went out to lunch with a friend...no chain, just a small diner....had a cheeseburger & fries, something I haven't had in a long time!
thank you
You're welcome! I love meatloaf...try to mix it up a bit sometimes make it with the brown gravy other times with tomato sauce.
Randy always wants ketchup on his... I usually do brown gravy
Happy Belated Anniversary Allison...I totally missed that yesterday! Sorry!!!!
thank you!!!!
Oven BBQ chicken, acorn squash with maple syrup, & broccoli.
yum
That sounds yummy robin.
Robin you talked me right into a roasted chicken. ^_^
Herb-rubbed roasted chicken, creamed-chicken mashed potatoes, baked buttercup squash w/cinnamon & nutmeg, cranberry sauce, and glazed carrots (we pulled the last of them from the garden today).
No dessert...stuffed!
Oooh, that sounded delish!
Yes it did!
I'm doing pasta with sausage, peppers and spinach in a chicken bullion.
Pot roast - beef with carrots, pearl onions, and 'taters in the crock pot. Nice 'snappy' day for it. Can smell it while I clean up this hell hole! How can two people create so much laundry and so much mess in just one week ?(!) ....and where does all this mail come from...what a waste of paper.
Sat. in Nov. = Hunter's again.
Pancakes, Texas Toast, Boneless Smoked Pork Chops, and Apple-Pear Coffee Cake.
Lunch:
Dynomite on sub rolls and coleslaw..it's on the stove simmering.
They will have to help them selfs, i'll be at the Augusta Armory for the Annual Crafts Fair.
Guess who's supposed to be there? KASSIA!!!!
Love pearl onions !!
