Happy Birthday, Chrissy!

Betty, after you chisel yourself, come on down here! I have lots we can do! Do you like stripping wallpaper? Painting? Cutting down trees maybe? How about WINE??? That's what I have planned for today...finish stripping the wallpaper in the bathroom then drinking wine. It's been a while....11 months maybe??? I'm overdue for a hangover.

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Cute kiddos, Linda Kay!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I do like all of those things, not really a drinker but I'd take a glass and sip throughout the day, I'm NOT into hangovers..lol but yes, we could decorate your rooms..omg one day I was making a shelf unit, brought out all kinds of goodies, posted a photo, girls all make their comments as to where to put what, what to put back into storage..I'd post photo's from time to time, I'd change things again, was like decorating with all of them at the house..

I can well imagine LindaKay, 11 year old girls aren't your everyday girls anymore, they are far more mature than we were...she's beautiful, you must be proud of all of them, and another coming soon..bet your are sewing/crochet/knitting up a storm??? wish I had me a 'girl'

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is my step granddaughter, Maryanne. She just turned 3 in July!

Rory mischievious??? LOL!

Good Morning...

Welll, got one more day of sewing! Yesterday, never got to the painting, thought about it for today but ohwah! Supposed to be 55, which means if sun is out will be about 60-62, which means another push to sift some more rock!!
LOL, instead of the painting, was looking out the window, ewww, were they dirty, proceeded to wash windows during sewing breaks.
DH home late again today, so morning is off to another late start...

Crissy! Happy Happy Birthday to you...I hope it is a good day, full of cheeriness for you. (and I don't mean ms cheerful!) lol.

Susan, great on the interview and testing day!! Mann, I hate tests of any kind, just a very slow reader, and things click the wrong ways!! But woohoo, sounds like you did well...

Betty, wow, they are wrapping up the Foxy Lady kind of late this year aren't they? Well may she dream of future waters.
Sounds like you need a new pair of rubbers, add them to your Christmas list, oh and waders too for cleaning out pond!!

Hi Linda Kay!! So glad Dad got to see Grands...Hope they get to spend time together soon.

Thanks for coffee, Laura, badly needed here, helps to take the chill out.

Wheres Dianne?? Lost in a book all cosy by wood burner? Hope all is well.

A nap at 7:40, like in the evening?? LOL a nap at that time for me would mean bedtime! Geesh, i've been going to bed at 9-930 lately, that is way early for me! Then DH reminded me we still have to turn clocks back, whoop that explains my tiredness...Sorry about the pot, hope it wasn't your favorite...

Ohhh, Mary!! Wow, still blooming out your way, i am sooo jealous, but I hope you'll take a picture and share when she shows her pretty face! First blooms are so very exciting. OMG, just love it, Belle having trained you, heheh, sounds like you all are doing great! How 'bout a picture of "Our" furry!

OK, be back in a bit time to wake the kids, they have late start today.

Best you not laugh Maggie, we have those highway lanes if you are more than 2 in a vehicle you get express drive, some put dummies in passenger seat and voila - 2 in a vehicle..for allthat goes on here, not likely anyone would know I wasn't here!

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay, I'm steeling her like it or not!!!! Now there will be a heart-breaker!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No sewing yet, I want to wait to see if it is a girl or boy! But that may not happen, as she is not for sure if she wants to know before hand! So it amy be lots of yellow or green items???

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Maryanne is a sweety pie for sure! When I go over there, she always gives me the longest, and sweetest hugs! She has stolen my heart for sure!

Hey Judy, how are you doing? Looks like your busy running as usual? Don't work too hard!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I can see you Judy just flitting around the house taking a few seconds to sit at the computer to chat while a dozen other things are going on .. you are so full of energy..how did the sewing go?

You just had to mention windows right? Gee Whiz, think I might hire Cathy to do my windows for me, always say I will but don't..was excited about putting new windows in some of the rooms, meant I didn't have to clean those..another thing I could do today, call Cathy and see if she can..

Prayers for Bev, not sure what time this morning they were doing her surgery?? hope someone can let us know how she's doing...

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay, MaryAnne lives near you? Always see Kyle and Noah, but with Caleb and Braedon in the city and their schedules due to camp/hockey/misc. sports, I don't get to see them grow as I do the other boys..miss that!

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I have it planned to be there about 9;00. I have to get Shane to school at 7:30....then can drive directly from here.

You know, I don't usually burn things. It has just been one of those week. Yesterdays issue with the smoke alarm was pan drippings spilled over when I was cleaning...and oven was still hot enough to set them off.

DD is mad now about the craft show, and she said I can still come and walk with her....so who knows if I am going or not. LOL She has to work til 12:30...so won't be there til 1:00 if we do go. AND of all things, DH might come now. Have mercy! He is the one that told me had to fix "the boat" which is what I have named his "new" car. lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No, they all live in San Antonio! I wish they lived here!

Debbie, I hate it when I have one of those weeks! Sending you (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))

I'll SEND you a girl! A 7 year old! We're too much alike...we clash! She even has a passport! :)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Send her over Maggie, just don't expect to get her back!!! I have 2 boys, my sibblings have 2 boys, they have boys..drats, sure wish someone would have had a girl..

Debbie, that would be great! So you might go to the craft show Saturday? I'm hoping for Friday morning after we meed up with you and then do Daves Christmas shop and I'll try to locate that other one, then the push is on for the girls shopping, me I have to spend an hour or so at the post office..lol

I think Debbie you notify Joann's so they can send me an e-mail, because every time I say I'm coming over the day before I get the flyer??

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay, that's the only thing about living so far away, you miss the most precious times of their lives..

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Betty, are you far from La Cloche Lake? Did I spell that right? My husband has a cabin there.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ok - so many posts, so little brain to capture them all..........
LK - your grandkids are awesome...... ! How's your Dad settling in? Is he helping you with quilting, yet? LOL When is she due, again - June?
Betty - you're like me - may have it around, but don't drink much. You're meeting up with someone at a craft show?
((((((((Debbie)))))))) the week is soon over....

Gentle Hugs to all in need .... and great big hugs to those who need reassurance and can take the hard hugs!!! LOL Did I tell you that I'm a terrific hugger?

Victoria Harbour, ON

No doubt you are Susan..too funny, just before opening this thread I look at the clock, subtracted 2 hrs. and thought 'that Susan should be up and at it about now!'

Well often I meet Debbie at the Craft Show but this time because of her schedule I'll meet her early Friday morning at the Christmas Tree shop (need to get mom her gift that she reminded me she wanted it)
so won't have to mail out the Workshop box to her, I can hand deliver..Debbie, back years ago with the kids, we did a primitive santa face - very primitive and on rough wood, there has to be 2 or 3 of them in back shed, do you think you might want to add some embellishment and have them around for gifts..if you do let me know, I'll bring them with me..remember, VERY primitive..

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I should really get to my sewing..... I may not have many full days to work on the quilt for my mom's Christmas present, LK's applique block, a lap quilt for a friend in Calgary, etc, etc, etc......

Lyndonville, NY

Thinking of our Bev this morning, isn't her surgery today?

Susan & LindaKay, i have discovered when you are a "Stay at home mom" weekends don't mean much, except they are here more to cause chaos. lol But thank you for the good thoughts and Hugs, much appreciated!

Lyndonville, NY

OHHHH Betty, really? If they are just sitting there and you don't want...would keep my idle hands busy, I would love them.

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Debbie, how old are your kids?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Off you go, you'll feel much better once the projects are complete..someone is going to be thrilled to get their gifts come Christmas time. Besides, when you start work you'll not have a whole lot of time on your hands now will you?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

No, I won't....... I'll be taking an additional course, to bring myself up to speed on Excel... it's been 7 years since I took the Advanced course, and I don't use Excel to its fullest potential cuz it's not necessary.

Well here goes - back to sewing, and because the 'puter is in my sewing room, I have to Shut It Down in order to Really get some stuff done!!!

Bye bye - cya later, alligators!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

They are painted Debbie, might need a spruce up, will see what else is dragging, often when I do workshops I have extra's and set them aside just in case, drats, what a collection, so last year I burnt much of it..

Remember I told you I found oval bases in back shed, well if you have screw driver/drill I can go garbage hunting for a few left over somewhat looking like tree pieces, picture this, sketch a tree (primitive like the ones we are doing) then do another the same so that they touch at the base, if you look at the area between the 2 trees it almost forms another..I've some of those left, not as shapely as the kit we're doing but hey, you could make a few Christmas gifts....going to go looking and bring what I have.. the girls when they pick me up tomorrow night will have a fit, am sure there is as much crossing the border with me as coming back after all the shopping we do...lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Photo of what you are up to Susan??? You know me, love photo's

Lyndonville, NY

Maggie, I have "four" biological children. They are 17, 19, 24 & 27. I have two son in laws 26 & 27......and I have two "kids" that live here, one permanent...one off and on. Michael just turned 19....and Brittany is 19 and just had a baby girl almost two weeks ago. I have a "son" who also grew in my heart...lived a few houses down, lost his Mom at age 11...and he is over in Afghanastan.....yesterday he turned 25. I am in the middle of doing a big drive for him and his "troop" as they don't have much for food...or hygene. My DH's employer has helped immensely with this, and we are busy packing up things to ship to the troops.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No sewing for me right now, I put the sewing machine away for a few days, but I will have to get out soon, to do the quilting on a few sqaures, then put them together!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - me BAD - I shut down the browser, then checked email one last time before shutting down the 'puter...... the newspaper was there, and I clicked a link in it....... Hence - I'm BAAAAAAACk...... (but not for long).
Sorry - can't post a pic of the applique block I'm doing cuz it's part of a set we're making for LK and ooooooooooooh What the heck....
Here's the block - The star isn't affixed, nor is the body of Baby Jesus, and I haven't made Mary's face or anyone's hands (I will make some praying hands for Mary), but this gives you an idea. As I told you, I've never done applique before, so this is a "primitive" attempt.
The points of the star will be better once it's sewn down.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Here's the top of the quilt I'm making for my mom's Christmas present. She made the top about 25 years ago, and gave it to me 3 years ago to finish. I figure she deserves to receive it. After all, she picked the fabric, and put it together (Around the World is the name of the pattern). I have the backing (in 2 pieces, so will need to join them) and the batting, so all I have to do is Get Off My Duff and DO IT!

Thumbnail by Tallulah_B
Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ooooooooh yes, I remember Ryan - he tried to get MY job, and as it's 2 ladies I'd be working for, it was a tough call, but he now has a Black Eye hmmmmmpf - steal MY job from me, will ya?!?!?!?!

Lyndonville, NY

OHH What a beautiful quilt. You ladies all have such great talents!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I didn't make the top, Debbie - my mom did, 25 years ago LOL

Lyndonville, NY
