Susan,(((((((((((((((Suesan)))))))))))))) Love ya!

Baton Rouge, LA

Thank you so much Susan, Laura, Betty, Dianne... etc... for hearing me vent...

Teen girls can be a handful (I suppose) even when they aren't "Steps"..

Carpet tiles sound like a good solution... Hopefully you won't have to go through FLoods again though !

Stacey - Shame on mean old Grandpa ! Jonathan is adorable... should be a "Gerber" baby... you may be too young to know the posterchild for Gerber...

Bev & Joyce -- Many ((HUGS)) I can't imagine life without my mom also... She passed at age 64... in 2004... Still don't know what the heck I'm doing... without her... (Her name was BETTY !) what a Great name...

Betty - wish I knew you needed something from Hobby Lobby... we have TWO here...one is 10 minutes from the house... just let m e know what you need and I'll have them "HOLD" it till you get here... ROFLOL! (Just kidding - I CAN pick it up and mail !)

Crissy - If it were here... and not sure if you have those same groups... but you can call the 'no kill organizations and they will take her... one of them is YELP! maybe you can google and see if they have one there...so as to find her (and potential puppies) a home...

Oh Geez Judy ! I am in tears... I just wish I could feel as though I had handled everything better than I have... (the past years) ... I mean I feel.. they get mad at me because I am NOT their Mom... AND I feel they feel that if they are mean to me... then they are being loyal to their mom.. who will do and say anything

Yes Deb - wait till you hear what happened... (((HUGS)))

Baton Rouge, LA

Well - (((HUGS)) everyone... I've tried to read everything and all my Sista's (YOU ALL ) are so supportive and wonderful to me... how do I deserve THAT !

I guess you all figured out I posted on the old post so copy / pasted here...

Deb & Betty - the reason I didn't want to just hop in and walk the field is because DD never asked me to.... and she is either hot or cold on me at any minute... so I didn't want to fan any flames with her by doing something she would not wish....With Roxanne... she can either be crying her heart out to me.... that she wished I were her bio-Mom... OR she can be "Not speaking" to me because I am a horrible Step-Mom... lately I've been the horrible stepmom...

So I was sitting between MIL and DH, FIL on DH's left... at the game... and noticed that MIL had a 'stern' talk with DD... I overheard DD say "Well this is MY night" and "Mom will be here" and heard MIL say "Well then forget I asked"....

MIL knew that I would not walk unless DD asked me. So I figured that was that...but knew that MIL was mortified that I would not be walking with them on the field.

So The minute that the parents were all walking down to the field... all of a sudden DD... looks at the whole group and says "Okay family... let's go"... I see her biomom and biomom's new dh get up.... so then DD looks at me and says "Come on Mary" and I said " me too?" "are you sure" and she says "yes"....

So I did get to walk with them.....I think DD realized how silly it would look with biomom's new DH down there and her Dad alone on the other side....

biomom was getting her "DIGS" in whenever she could... before walking out ... she hugs DD and says REALLY LOUD... "You Know Baby you can ONLY have ONE MOMMY !"...

But it was all good. and I love and appreciate you all for your support

((HUGS))
Mary

Well here it is 2:30 ish am and I am awake, have the wood stove going and no one is up.
Mary had a leaky face there reading your post. I am SO glad you got to walk the field with your DD.Let biomom do all her yakking I think deep down your DD knows who really filled the shoes of her mom while growing up. Must have made your DH feel really proud and good too to have you walk the field as a family.
Judy you are a very wise, sage woman and can express your feelings and hurts from your past so well. You've learned to hang on and remember the good times not all the hassles of how you got there. Sometimes I have to remind myself to do that and boy does the day ever brighten and perk up then. Mouse hunt over?Have an excellent mouser named Streak who loves to travel.
Hold the phone Mary and Debbie with the 10 page app for Betty's new dating prospect. Talked to the guy's DD today and out of the blue she said "Gee I bet my mom isn't missing what a cheapskate my dad is". I never knew John was like that, Pat never let on. I thought she made all these fancy celebratory cakes and wedding cakes as a lark - she used that money for 'extras' for herself and the kids. Grrrrrr I'll keep looking though.
Betty I swear our mothers are 1 and the same - maybe somehow mam came back and added reinforcing to your DM's manner and personality. That is NOT a good thing let me tell you.
Have a new book calling my name, I'll tell you all tomorrow about our dueling banjos adventure this afternoon.
Do something nice for yourself today please. Susan thinking positive thoughts about your new maybe 2 new jobs. Stacey thank you so much for catching us all up on your very busy life. Jonathan is 1 lucky little guy.

Morning all, been up cleaning the house, imagine at this time of night (morning) then it dawned on me, going to cut wood all morning and there will be little remnant of dust why oh why dust now..so took out the rug cleaner and did living room rug..just couldn't sleep, guess Dianne we make a great pair! Not sure why but every noise in the house seem intensified, refrigerator, got up about 11:30 and turned it lower, then about an hour later furnace had to be turned down, actually put on the fireplace so I didn't have to listen to the furnace, then the clock in the living room chimmed, took batteries out, everything is SOOO loud..lol, layed for awhile watching t.v. and finally though, get up, no sense being aggravated..

So here I is, coffee is on, might even make muffins..
Dianne is reading her book but she might be back for a treat!

Judy, just love those photo's..stunning, you should enlarge and frame the 1st one, it's spectacular! What time did you finally come in from the fire?? or are you all still out there chatting? what a way to catch up with the family news!

Mary, how wonderful for you to have walked the field as a family, must have irked the bio-mom to cause her to be so mean..these family get togethers when it's an extended family is not the easiest thing to get through, used to dread them..

I will see if I can get my scratch art book and if I cannot I just might see if you could ship me one, would sent postage and $$ for magazine.

Susan, sure had hoped for better news..

Debbie, how wonderful that Mike got the job, maybe this is the start of good news knocking at your door.

Well, better start my day..

See you on my next break..

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG you are up as well Laura..we've got a night shift here, and now the early birds..

Guess you couldn't sleep for excitement, must be 5:15 in your neck of the woods

Excited for photo's of you new carpeting

Coffee is on

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks for all your comments about my mom..I have my moments..... being the only girl child and the baby, I've been really close to my folks. Both my brothers are out of state.

This morning I was laying in bed and started thinking about my daughter, Lisa....she goes on Nov. 5th to have the lining of her uterus removed. It dawned on me just this morning that my ex-husbands' mother died from uteran cancer in her mid 40's.......Lisa will be 40 in February..... wish I wasn't feeling so dang sorry for myself!

I don't think my mom should have chemo either....she's had such a hard time with all this diarrhea that she certainly doesn't need anything else that is so hard on the body....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Joyce, when so much is going on around you I'm sure that many things come to mind, shake your head and get them out of there girl, we'll say prayers for both you daughter and mom, it's now in the hands of the Lord..

For a few years after Roger's death I kept thinking what in the world would I do if something happened to my boys..Greg kept saying he'd not live as old as his dad (who was 47 when he passed) and today I look at them, in their 40's, still looking so young and nearing that age and every once in awhile panic comes over me..

It's then I think of grandparents who lived to nearly 100 so I'll look to that side..

Hard to do though..

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Yes, Betty...for sure....I'm trying to be upbeat, too. Especially when I talk to my folks....doesn't do one bit of good to be down in the mouth...just not easy to overcome it sometimes....

I haven't slept well the last two nights....really light sleep, not deep restful sleep...hope I can overcome that, cause it doesn't help with my outlook being draggy.

Wish I could come and sit with you awhile and have a cuppa...... yesterday at exercise class, Bertie told the girls I needed a hug and I lost it there.....

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Well....got the call about noon yesterday that Grandpa passed away in his sleep. He had been having apnea episodes as of late and when he first stopped breathing mom just assumed he'd start breathing again. He didn't. He passed quietly and peacefully which I guess is all we can ask for a 102yr old man. He lived a great life-traveled all over the world, had a child and grandchildren and great grand children that loved him dearly, lots of friends and had 2 loves of his life he was fortunate enough to meet and marry. Mom is already in St. Louis, Chris is driving there from Fargo and I am riding with my BIL & SIL down there this am. I am taking my puter and we are staying at the Holiday Inn. If anyone wants to send cards to Mom she should have her address updated in the exchange-if not I can send it to anyone who dmails. We are all trying to hold our heads up, and I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to cry a lot-my poor tender heart I guess. Such a sweet man that crawled under my skin the first time I met him. I will be glad to say goodbye to his friends as well since I got to know them quite well and really like them. There is one older man named Jean who is my sweetie-always asks about me and is enamored by my tattoo and my son.

Will talk to you all when I get back if I can't check in while away.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm so sorry for your loss Janice and Stacey. But how lucky you were to have have Dad/Grampa for so long.

Verona, ON

Stacey and Janice I am so sorry for your loss. Your DGF sounded like a wonderful man who lived a wonderful life - how lucky you were to share some of your life with him.
Dianne

Victoria Harbour, ON

Stacey, not many can say they've had a parent/grandparent live so long, what wonderful memories you must all have..cherish them!!! Be careful driving, give Janice a hug for us will you and tell her that our thoughts/prayers are with her and her family!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Mary we tried that, the organizations around here will only take the animals if they're fixed and not pregnant. We found one Rottweiler Rescue organization that would take an unfixed dog if you pay them $100.00. She sent them an email and they responded that they don't have room for a female that's not spayed, they only take them spayed. It's her dog, I'll do whatever she wants me to do but I'm not going any further with it. She did work last night so I haven't talked to her.

Mary that's excellent that you got to walk! I'm wondering if maybe she feels that you don't need an invitation because you are family and she forgets. She IS a teenage female and we all know how that can be! I agree with Dianne, let biomom do her childish yakking.

Stacey I'm so sorry for your loss. Drive careful and give Janice a hug from me too. Wonder if Chris is going to be there or if he's stuck in training.

Betty I do understand about the noise, my Central Heating buzzes really loud when the heating motor thingy is on, I went outside a bit ago and I could hear the house buzzing from in the middle of the street and that's a half acre away!

I've got to get off here, I've got 60 bulbs to plant, 8 brug plants to cut down, and who knows what else I'll get myself into. I want to make Halloween sugar cookies today but don't know if I'll get around to it, plus we're going to dress up and go out tonight, maybe we'll win at a Halloween costume contest somewhere.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh - I'm not "up" with all the traditions, so have to ask - What's with the Walking The Field everyone's talking about???

Janice & Stacey - so sorry to hear about your loss. If my father were still living, he'd be 108! You've had a lot of blessed years with your Father/G-Father. The LORD is looking after him now.
Good Morning, everyone!!
Back to sewing, voice lessons, more sewing, then a Halloween party tonight at a friends'

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan, enjoy your night out..hope both you and Crissy (different events of course) win best costume..hope you will take photo's..I'm Halloween'd out..lol

Shucks, I've already moved on to Christmas..

Was asked to go out for breakfast by Greg/Mel and the boys, declined, have much to do and besides, ate breakfast at about 4:30, then again at 7:30 so sure didn't want a 3rd. seating..then Noah asked if I could come to his hockey game, thought I should so have to leave here in about 20 minutes, then they told me to dress warmly for Bernie/Charlene's screem schack..picking me up at 6:30pm soooo full day it is, hopefully I can sleep tonight..

Crissy, normally these noises just blend in but last night I don't know why, they just drove me bonkers..

Best I go get dressed, the clothes I have on now you can't see for color from the scroll saw dust.

Glenview, IL

Stacey and Janice...Sending you Both Giant Arm Wraps(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Janice, Stacey & family)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I am so sorry for your loss. He is forever in your hearts.

My sounds like everyone is having a busy, busy day, Me too.
DH, finally on the roof, patching! He and Jacob to take down that limb, wooohooo.

Mary, Mary can't even tell you how Happy I was to read your post!! Now see, YOUR DD surely has made you PROUD!!
Inviting everyone as a Family, what a brilliant idea! As for the other mom, well let her spew, goes to show her imaturity, don't even give her the satisfaction of being upset, pftttt to her, lol.

Well, today is Jakes first Varsity game! He is very excited, more about getting to wear the Varsity Jersey, which are very very nice! New # is 76.(I think) LOL, he is also very nervous, said those Guys are huge!! Game an away game, not sure if we are going yet. Got that party tonight, sigh, Told DH we should go to game at least to half time. But they may not even play Jake, what to do, what to do??

Guess who don't know what she's going to be?? LOLOL, going to go as myself, Spaced Out Mom, ahahaha.

Dianne, isn't it nice to have that quiet time by the fire? Hope you enjoyed it ooohhh and what are you reading? Winter is my time to read!

Ohhh yummy Crissy, I'll eat a half doz of your cookies!! I hope you get all you want done.

Hey it was fun being on the night shift...Susan how'd you make out?

I have been in a snafu!! There is this one thing i am working on, I made 30 1/4 in. cranberries and can't for the life of me figure out how to go about the holly leaves.lol it simple and I am at a loss!

Susan/Crissy have fun at your Halloween parties!

Well, it's real nice out so i want to get out there and sift some stone before i go.

Oh Yeah and by the way...Little Black mouse caught!! DH enticed him with a slice of salame, fat lil bugger.

Okie dokie, have a wonderful Fall day!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

I see Stacey ahs already let you know of Dad's passing. he was active right up to the end, singing in church the Sunday before he passed. Who can ask for more at 102 and 10 months. Thanks for all the support, he will be missed.
I should get home on Tuesday, Nove 2 and get to some of my sewing swaps as I am far behind. Been on the road for 3 out of 4 weeks this month and I am TIRED. Want to be in my own home with my dog and my own bed.
Talk when I get home.

Lexington Park, MD

So tired me and DH layed carpet and baseboard in oldests DD room last night. I helped move stuff and paying dearly today. Just got back from soccer games and DH finishing baseboard and hanging storage unit for fabric. Trying to stay awake to pick up DD from work then going to take pain pill and crash will see all tomorrow. Have a great evening and hugs to anyone that wants one. Betty what do you cut the wood with????

Victoria Harbour, ON

Judy as always you are all geared for a night of fun! What really are you going to be, know you had some thoughts, are you going to stick with stressed out mom???

Kyle's with me here, I've got telephone to my ear waiting for Rogers Internet service to come on-line because my computer is still having difficulties with connection..Kyle thinks once the diagnose I might be able to go to Midland and get new router..awfully aggravating to say the least, try about 20 times before connection takes, should have called a few weeks ago when I started having trouble..these computers are great but annoying they can be..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

sounds like he had a good time singing in church, Janice!

Bob & I are going to a Mad Men themed Halloween party tonight. He just has to put on a suit, but I had to figure what to wear for a 60's outfit..... yikes! Went to a costume/consignment store, and got some gold sequined slippers, a red dress (can't remember what they're called - sorta like the princess dresses, without a waist) with an embroidered neckline , and a red felt hat to go with it.
Men have it so easy, don't they?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ohhhhh Susan, please post a photo????

Janice, grandma (who raised me) was shy a few months of her 100th birthday..she was an angel, everyone loved her, much as your dad, I was reminded when she died that I should celebrate her life rather than mourn for her, at 100 what would have been left, watching her bedridden, not able to eat by herself, not remembering who was who, that took much of the pain away knowing it's what she would have wanted...am sure your dad felt the same..am sure it's overwhelming for them to live and see their sibblings, their children, their friends all gone, no one from their generation to speak of days gone by, difficult I'm sure..just think of the reunion that is now going on!!!

I'm about ready to call it a night with regards to woodcutting, tired, not even sure if I'm going to Bernie's for the Halloween festivities, bed looks more inviting; can finish cutting my kits in the morning..

Too funny, Kyle is here and asked if he could use the saw, he's trying to cut a snowman..won't tell him it's difficult to tell what he's cut..lol

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Here's a picture of a banner I just made for the area next to our piano and organ at the church.
I plan on putting a dowel in behind it, at the bottom, to hold it straight, so it won't have folds...

oh, and Betty - yes I will be bringing my camera to the party and will get other pictures, too!
I'll have to get someone to take pictures of Bob & I.
Just remembered what the dress type is - an A-line dress.....

All these Halloween Festivities!!

Dave's taking a nap and I'm giving it some thought, I have been active all day, got everything done that I wanted to and it's going to be a late night, or should I say early morning!

I love Halloween, it marks the beginning of the Holidays (in the US.)

I was going to post but I'm needing to lay down, so I'm going to go do that! I'll take my camera tonight :)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan that banner is spectacular, omg, you have talent girl, has anyone from the church seen it yet? They'll be thrilled..

Decided not to go to the haunt shack/trail, just too tired to go only to be frightened then not sleep the rest of the night, did that last night, tonight, well let's just say I've soaked in the tub, hot chocolate is in a cup, tylenol 3 waiting by the bedside, drats this damp weather is causing my legs to ache, only thing left for me to do is turn the channel to a non halloween movie and get into bed..

Tomorrow's another day, am sure what I did not get done will be done before noon tomorrow..

Prayers tonight for all who need them..especially Janice and Stacey for their loss, Bev & Scotty, our Australian Laura, Joyce's daughter and mother, Tubby and Shirley...for the rest of you, I always ask the Lord to watch over you all!!!

If you are partying, dance up a storm but drive safely!

Judy has the right idea, lol, party is at her house, clean up city tomorrow!!

Night everyone!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello to my wonderful DG Friends....

I feel Hugs from all like I'm wrapped in a warm cuddly blanket... Last night was NOT easy and yet I feel I'm through it and all of you with me....

Susan... The tradition is that at one of the last football games of the season... the Football Team, the Cheerleaders, the Dance Team and The Band SENIORS and parents are all honored.

The parents line up across the football field and the Senior Students are lined up at the left Goal Post.... They both walk straight across the field and meet in the middle and the student gives their Mom a rose and the Senior Student/parents get a picture....while the announcer calls out the student name, parents names and their plans for the future...

We (DH and I) did this last year with DS because he was in the band..... Dsd is on the Dance team...

I'm sending then coming right back......

Baton Rouge, LA

Joyce - I know I think the same way... (re: your ex MIL) I suppose I just believe I will pass on at 64....just like mom... and that makes me quite ancy (is that a word?) like I am running out of time...

Judy I sure hope you and DH do make the drive for Jake's first Varsity Game. You know it will not matter to Jake after he gets over it if he isn't played but he will never get over the fact you close to come to at least part of his first game knowing he might not play and that you haad other plans too. Any great Halloween Breakfast plans?
Mary I am a voracious reader and love most kinds of books. What kinds of stories interest you? Who was your favourite author that died?
Betty I'll be joining you tonight, hot chocolate with a splash of Baileys and a super duper pain pill. Hope it workd tonight or I will have to upgrade to some very strong meds I have on hand just in case. This getting old is for the birds!
Stacey, Joyce, Bev, Shirely and Tubby holding you close to my heart tonight.
Night all! Who am I kidding I will be place as I know I won't sleep.

Hey Dianne -

I LOVED Michael Crichton... He wrote many books that were based on science and research ( I think) and books that I wouldnot read that were based on fantasy (to me)
Hugs,

Verona, ON

BOOOOOO .... well that is my token Halloween greeting. Hope all of you out and about tonight are enjoying yourselves. Crissy did you wake up from your nap ?
Right now Mary I just started Ann Rule's latest book. I enjoy true stories and she never disappoints.Love mystery stories, especially James Lee Burke. He lives and write down near you - our cat Streak is named after Dave Robicheaux who is the main character in most of Burke's novels.DH is really into Crime Friction of the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. To say we have a personal library that is larger than most small towns if very true.Tess Gerritsen, Val McDermid, Robert Crais, John Sandford, Kellerman oh goodness I could go on and on. DH says it has to be a very badly writeen book for me not to finish it.Of course Gone with the Wind is a book I reread every year and havee since I was 14.
How was your evening Judy? Hope a good time was had by all.
Betty I want to stay asleep but the pain killer nor the sleeper do not want to kick in tonight. Grrrrrr, cause I know my RA and OA will make me cranky tomorrow.Just made another hot chocolate, put the dogs out and am now bringing them in - all should be quiet in my world for a bit.
Sweet dreams everyone!
Dianne

Lexington Park, MD

Dianne I see you like to read . I enjoy James Patterson mostly.
Betty that is great the Kyle is learning from you. My grandfather used to do wood work ,but did not think girls should be taught.
Susan I love the banner such details. Beautifully done.
Well coffe is on need to hopefully finish basement today and take pictures.
Great day to all.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning you all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN....

We three are up extra early this morning, guess we because we didn't go party'ing like the others, but just think Dianne/Laura, we won't have a hangover either..lol

Haven't read in years as I become addicted to reading and just sit and do nothing else, start a book in the morning and have it read by nightfall, so, unless it's easy reading that I can pick up and set down, know the ending before I start it doesn't get read!

Slept fairly well, but my old inner clock set it's alarm for about 3:30..told myself I wasn't about to get up 2 morning in a row, so watched a show and dozed off until 5:10 then up and into the cutting room I went..trying to get these kits put together by 11am and then all the drilling begins..push myself this weekend only because I know now that it's dark so early when I get home from work I just want to rest.

Laura, get all the carpeting down? you must be tired today..can't be too tired because you've children to get out 'trick or treating' which reminds me, have fake pumpkins to decorate outside but needed a real one as I have cat paws/head/scarf to stick into the pumpkin for front step, better do that on my next break!!

Mary, had spoken to Debbie about Hobby Lobby that might be not too far from the airport or Cracker Barrel in Buffalo, IF she'd be so kind as to look it up for me and let me know if it's in an area I'll not be far from I'd appreciate it..if I can't get it this weekend I'll let you know..

Debbie will be meeting up with us at the Christmas Tree Shop early Friday morning...ahhh then she can meet some of my good friends..friends meeting friends, fantastic ...

Well, 2 broken blades later Kyle took the snowman he was cutting home..I told him to come back another day and I'd teach him and let him cut more, only way he'll learn..said he would..

THEN, he asked if I could make him something to wear tonight so that he could sit amongst the trees near my front entrance, said he's sit without moving and when people came to the door he'd make a fuss...ok...in my spare 2 seconds I might find time...KIDS...

Melanie (DIL) was telling me at hockey yesterday that Noah's costume was a great hit at the school party Friday, one little gaffer in his class went home and told his mom that 'the PAUZE's sure put a lot of thought into costumes', his mother was telling this to Melanie that she told him 'then you'd better go live with the PAUZE's' so Melanie went on to say that their grandmother makes all their costumes and has since they've been babes in arms...lol

Kyle was telling me that Melanie loaned out 5 costumes to girls at work for their children to wear this halloween..great that they are being used tonight! Who knows, maybe one will knock at my door!

Won't get my cutting done and tidy up of sawdust if I don't get a move on..no more break for me until the cutting is done..

Off for coffee and who knows, might even make a batch of muffins..

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Mary-he got to see a pic of Jonathan, we had planned to bring him down to see Grandpa this next summer when he was a smidge older.

Betty-you are right-watching that type of deterioration in someone you love is hard...

Apple Crisp hot and ready on the counter. Yes no hangover here although over the years I have sure had my share.LOL
Happy Halloween!

Betty this is the only one I can find

2090 George Urban Blvd.
Depew, NY 14043
(716) 686-0114

I don't know where that is, but I am SURE your GPS can help! lol

Mary & Dianne, I love reading also. However, I can't read anything scary. I have had enough scary in real life...and refuse to put any more of those moments in my brain...real or imagined. I have PTSD pretty bad, and even books can set it off.

Mary, wish I could give you a big hug. You know I have found no matter how old they are, my daughters can rip my heart apart in seconds. And they are oblivious to what they have done. I think what upsets me the most is that they just act like they have done nothing and go on their merry way. Your DSD handled that the best way a kid could...in that position. No matter what choice she made...someone was going to be hurt. AND...I think she knows....you give unconditiional love...whereas her Mom doesn't. She knows, when she is a jerk...or makes those "mom" choices....you will still be there for her no matter what. I am not saying it doesn't hurt....and she shouldn't do that to you...but in a teenagers brain...it makes sense to her whether she realizes it or not.

My DS didn't get home from work til 3:00 a.m.! Halloween party, then big clean up. He is so tired, and has to go into work again today.

Apparently there is a movie out...with someone who is a Priest and murders people. Well, this is my "son" the Father.

Lol

When he came down stairs with his hair "combed over" to the side instead of the usual spikes I am used too...I almost fell over. He looked so much like my little boy, the way he used to wear it. lol

Great picture!

Mary, my husband and I have been married for 30 years. Our kids were 9, two 8's and 6 when we got married. (2 each)...since my ex was a big jerk, my kids pretty much accepted Bill as their Dad right away. But his two sons, especially the 8 year old didn't want to accept me at all. We had our "moments"...but now, both boys love me unconditionally. They finally figured out I wasn't trying to take their Mom's place. They always hug and kiss me and tell me they love me when they see me. So give it some time......

Hello !

Thank you Debbie & Joyce & All.... You are all so good to me...

Laura - I have read some James Patterson too I think.... he wrote some books that DS had... they were for teens ?? I know he writes adult books too ... I'll have to try...

Dianne - I wrote down Ann Rule and James Lee Burke and will check the library... :)

Debbie - DS looks So Serious ! I wondered why the Priest was so popular this year... wonder what movie it is....

Stacey - I'm so glad he was aware and got to see a picture of Jonathan...

Betty - wouldn't that be SO neat if you saw a kiddo at your door with a "Pauze Original" costume ! I know a couple extra handfuls of goodies would go into that basket !

Wow - trick or treating is tonight ! WE used to make such a to-do over Halloween with decorations and all ... not so much this year... too much going on....

Maybe I will cook....

Hugs,
Mary

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to read all the time and still want to but never seem to get into it when I do start. I'm reading a Robin Cook novel right now, but my favorites have always been Deen Koontz and Stephen King.

LOL Yes I woke up, we went out and I had a wardrobe malfunction but I took street clothes because I had a feeling that costume wasn't going to work. There were a lot of original costumes out there this year, and I got to see my friend who recently moved to Tulsa, she said she's not going to be back to Hot Springs for a long time probably, so I'll need to go visit my dad in Joplin fairly soon, I told her when I get over my fear of driving in the winter LOL She agreed, she's from Las Vegas where it doesn't ice either, so we're in the same boat on that issue.

No hangover for me either, I only drank 1 1/2 beers last night. We danced and danced and danced til both our backs hurt. My legs are sore today too, guess I needed the workout.

Great pic Debbie! You have good looking kids!

Well I have a ton of bulbs to plant, just waiting for it to warm up a tad, Diana might come over and help me and we're talking about going to a haunted house tonight, she said she knows the good ones LOL
