Well, it's 12:30 here, and I sent an email to the 2 ladies, "touching base" because they'd said they would contact me re: the position.
I hope I haven't forced the issue....... and that they remember who the heck I am......
I'm so rattled that I misspelt one person's email addy so she didn't get the email, then I re-sent it, but I still forgot to mention the position in question...... DUH! Am I'm trying to get an Executive Assistant position? siiiiiiiiigh

wow - temp warmed up - it's now 6C, and the sun's out - no fog or cloud! The sky is a different colour than I remember - blue!!!

Doesn't hurt to touch base..sure hope they keep their words and not leave you hanging all weekend! Sure would make today special.

Ann dropped in, Mike is running a high fever again so not likely to be home for the weekend..with turkey/dressing/veggies/gravy all in trays I was able to convince her to stay and eat, she got it all down along with a few tears and now has gone home, needs to call her girls and let them know what is happening..

So, bath I had run prior to her arrival is cold, going to run another and take a bath then if the mood strikes me it will be tracing the Christmas project on all the lumber I've picked up..

Betty that is so sad to see what's happening with Mike. I am so sorry he's having to go through this.

Yes, not good news..Ann was saying she wasn't so sure that chemo was the best for Mike..his system was fighting it so much that no one could believe he was ill..after heavy dose a few weeks ago he's just gone downhill..

She said she'd quit coming here to paint with the girls and for bingo because she's afraid that once he gets home she might bring home germs but Mike told her to get mask and wear it because he knows she'll go stir crazy just sitting inside with him.

I don't have their ph#. i checked my old email from the company, and Finally (after 2 months) they caught on to the fact that I still had access. They closed me down!

Drats, by now the office has closed right? You'd think they would at least call knowing how people are stressed out waiting to hear regardless if it's a 'yes' or a 'no'..

I'm doing some Iron-on Transfers to create a new banner for our Church.
Music related - treble and bass clefs, psalms and fanciful pictures of music scores.
I think it will be really good when I've gotten the borders sewn.......
I'll post a picture when it's done. It's to be ready for this Sunday am's Service.

It's only 9:14pm here now - Mountain time.

Its 11:15 here.....DS just got home for work. Cut his finger open pretty nasty. I dont think it needs stitches, but it is an angle cut...and painful.

Did I tell you all Mike got a new job? He went on an interview for a constructin company Wednesday night....and they had him start Thursday morning! It really worked out well, his boss was very understanding as he was to start unemployment today if he found nothing.

So, he has been traveling, working on restuarants mostly. They are building a McDonalds. On Nov. 7 he goes to Pennsylvania for 3 to 4 weeks to work on site there. I think this is great for him...for Shannon...and me!

Ok, really this time....I have my kiss on the cheek from Judy....and I am heading to bed! lol

Ohhh that is so pretty!

This was our sunrise yesterday....with storm clouds moving in from the south. It was so darn pretty though! DH printed off an 8 X 10 he liked it so much.

You noticed I went to bed, right.

did you know your no longer supposed to use peroxide? It kills the healthy cells along with the bacteria, damaging them as they try to clot and rebuild. I am sorry...I sitll use peroxide! lol

It just so happens that the new pkg of transfer stuff came to my door today!
Only problem is..... I was doing it backwards before, and that's why it didn't work!
It's Very different than the light fabric transfer, and I can't do lettering. You have to cut off everything that isn't part of your picture, and lettering is too tiny to cut and iron.....
Everything that isn't part of your picture shows up as a white border and it would be on dark fabric, so would show up.
I'll have to figure out some other types of pictures to put on the dark fabric, so there's no border around it..... would have to be simplistic pictures - darn!!

oh yeah - I found out about the peroxide thing when I burned my hand, and that's what I was told by the pharmacist!
When I stopped using the peroxide, my burn got better. That, and taping my 2 affected fingers together so the burn wouldn't "split" when I moved my fingers. And we all know how much we move our fingers when we don't think about it!!
