Still raining *SIGH*, I need about another 2 hours outside and everything will be bottled up for winter.Tomorrow is supposed to be balmy so hope the WL are correct.
Have to decide when I am going to put the Tang away for the winter. Once it is put to bed I know snow will not be too far behind.
All you people sewing makes me wish my hands would let me do it again. When I graduated University my parents gave me a portable sewing machine. Some graduates get money, I get a sewing machine so I can make my own clothes and save money.lol

Sunshine is on it's way Dianne, bright sky here and it's 70..wondered why I was sweating! Guess the storm brought in the high temps, well, at least for today. Sewing machine was a great gift...when I think gifts I think 'tools', get so excited..lol was funny, when Roger was alive I'd purchase kitchen ware and gadgets as he loved to cook and under the tree would be tools for me..we'd often say 'what's wrong with this picture' lol

May I ask what Tang is, thought it was the orange drink???

Ahhh there you have it..would never have guessed that one..Darlene my girlfriend has one as well, they just finished building a garage just for her babe..won't drive it in the snow..bit too cold for convertibles..

Betty - when you mentioned Value Village as a place to buy a costume...
1. I will not frequent Value Village as most of their "donation" $$ go to administration/overhead, and not to the charity. I go to Salvation Army.
2. You have to have $$ to buy stuff, and right now it's a very, very tight squeeze for that. We've got our bills paid, but have nothing for "extras".

I'm going to make some bows, etc for me to attach to current stuff, like a blouse, to make it look 60-ish. I certainly have enuff fabric to do something albeit quickly LOL

Well good for you to be able to embellish something you already have, you'll have to show us what you've come up with.

I was there at lunch as they have 4 aisles of costumes, I needed to make a wand for Max, was black handle and silver ball, didn't they have one, really it was in the section for singers, suppose to be a mike..nope now a wand..who will know..add a jewel bobble on top and will save me work

At this point I'm trying to find easy ways of finishing. Salvation Army is at the other side of town and not the way I come into work so anything I have to drop off it's easier when it's only a block away...talk about costumes, a costume manufacturer must send all of last years' costumes to them..can't believe it..but they are so flimsy..

Yep Tang is my menopausel red convertible.It has never seen snow and will not as long as I own it. Interesting Susan that you heard Stang - even the Ford dealerships around here refer to a Mustang as a Tang.Betty I remember drinking that Tang. Did you know it is a good thing to run through your empty dishwasher every few weeks? Just like vinegar in the coffee pot.
Storm and I just got back from our afternoon walk - it is really quite muggy out there. Looking forward to higher temps tomorrow.

Do they even sell Tang anymore, haven't seen it but then I haven't been looking..think we got to drink it as kids for a treat, wasn't bad, didn't know the difference between it and real orange juice.

Muggy here as well, goes from bright sunny sky, to dark clouds, not quite sure what it wants to do..guess it's the calm before the storm.

My favorite than I had was an Olds 442 convertible or the 63' starfire..oooh could they purr..

My Tang is a 95 - the last of the big motors. It goes like stink and one day I am going to get a big ticket.
They actually do still sell Tang - I was surprised to find it on the shelf.
Betty I had a 63 Buick Wildcat convertible. Now that was a car!

Mine was the lightest of mauve's, I'll have to go look for a photo..yep, could have gotten many a ticket with that one..was in my 20's..shucks, sure could have picked up men in those days...LOL/LOL

Done in the basement for now. went and got baseboard. Need to paint trim tomorrow. Carpet is ordered will be here soon. Wish we had a Salvation Army or aGoodwill. Nice one in Thurmont love to go in there. Quality clothes .

I love second hand stores! You can get some really good items.

Whew, we have a record high heat for this date, at 101!!! It is hot!

Betty about the paint. Kilz will work on stains but not sure about mold. We got a kit that has 4 steps to kill,clean and protect against mold. good on walls and cement floors where this stuff was growing. carpet on order and baseboards will be painted tomorrow . Very sore and tired going to lay down. All have a good night.

Evening, costume dept. is open, trying to finish so I can ship them out tomorrow..

Just got home actually, had to shop for a few more costume items, Municipal Elections today and of course I had to gab after my voting, stopped into Bernie's gabbed some more

OMG he and Charlene have been working out in the side fields, you should see the structures all tarped..they have about 20 people who will work individual stalls to scare the beejeebers out of you..his fright night will be Wedn. and Saturday, missed it last year so this Saturday night will be a MUST...better bring extra underware..lol..donation for food bank is the entry fee..

You deserve a rest Laura, bet you will be thrilled to have it all behind you..do you also have difficulties in the spring when the snow melts..

I am watching Axl the kitten, nurse on the dog....and it is hysterical. My poor girl...she just doesn't feel well, and she puts up with that little critter.
DH is over at Carries. Her hot water heater blew....and they are trying to get the new one in....its not working from "word on the streets".

I have to go watch Castle....I got the hots for that man. lol Such a cute show! lol

Dianne - "Menopausal Red Convertible" ROFLOL! I've always called the 65 "Tang" my "favorite" vehicle... never driven one... but my first vehicle (The "Family" car) was a 67 Cougar...and they are very similar... OF COURSE I didn't appreciate it at the time...30 years ago....

I actually own a '29 Model A Ford. Dad bought it when he was 21 for $50. It makes me sad because I inherited it (from Mom - long story) and there it sits in the garage. DH always said he would fix it up but never has time. I bet if Crissy could come visit she would encourage me to do it myself... but I've never been mechanically inclined.

What is Castle ?

Castle is a comedy/murder investigation show. On Mondays at 10:00 based on a story of detective Nicki Heat. It really is quite funny at times.
Channel 7 here....which is ABC

OKay - ... I just watched the Trailer... on their website... Looks like a good show...

Funny - Channel 7 here is the one I sell...and it's CBS... Your show doesn't start for a couple hours, huh......???

Mary I had never heard of the show Castle either. we don't watch much TV but sometimes when people talk about certain shows I feel like I live under a rock. I have no idea what they are talking about.
DH was getting antsy today - too much rain to cut wood so Santa gave him 1 of his stocking gifts. DH loves to do jigsaw puzzles so I handed over 1 for him to do - had to be better than hearing and watching him pace around. Hopefully this puzzle will keep him busy for a wee bit.
I sharpened and trued the bar on my chainsaw so am ready to do wood if it ever stops raining here.Asked DH if he wanted me to do the same to his saw and I got an emphatic NO so guess I won't do it then.
Deer are really on the move right now, between the full moon and the rapidly approaching deer hunting season I think they are a tad agitated. My nephew emailed me today and was telling me someone broke into one of their outer buildings and left behind a moose carcass. What jerks!!
Need to take my chicken and rice soup off of the stove.Hope it tastes as good as it smells. BBL

I'm still up, just finished the costumes, fought wanting to lay on the couch and watch Castle as well, lordy he's a cutie..think it's still on or was a few minutes ago... I watch all the series on the comuter at work so if I have missed the ending then I'll get to see it tomorrow..

Dianne, you work the chainsaw as well, multi talented lady..Amen to giving your hubby a jigsaw puzzle, love them...I'm not quite sure what Suzanne was explaining to me at lunch, her son just got back from New York City..apparently there is a puzzle and it's done in sections and time frame, she said that as you go through the history the twin towers are in the puzzle and then as you go along they are not..think it might be 3D..should have paid more attention to her gabbing rather than eating..lol

Dianne, when I lived on the farm we didn't allow hunters on the property, we had a lot of deer as well, would come out to eat but I think they knew when hunting season started, you'd not see one...

How awful, finding the carcas..that would attrack so many other animals trying to find food...yuk..

Furries are getting tired of waiting for me to stop sewing and go to bed so they can cuddle

Why would someone do that - leaving the moose carcass? When I took family to New Mexico (Taos area/mountains) we just adored the "Moose Crossing" signs... and saw one from our cabin... You'd have laughed at us I'm sure...

You sure are early with the Christmas presents ! My Mom would always do that and inevitably 'forget' one... I remember when I got the Mop in March... (IT was hidden in her closet LOL). Yes - a Mop for Christmas... we always gave weird gifts... sure she knew I needed one...

Not sure who I was gabbing with the other day but they were saying a group of Japanese were visiting and had their car parked at a deer crossing and when asked if their vehicle had broken down they said no, they were waiting to see the deer cross and did they know what time they usually crossed...lol..had camera in hand just a waiting!!!

Actually it's a 1929 Model A Ford... Dad bought it for $50 when he was only 21 years old ! IF we were to restore it... I would think it might be worth $8000 ??? So not an incredible amount... but as DH says... we'd have to spend $10000 to get it up to that amount... BUT for me... it has sentimental value..... MUCH sentimental value...

The commercials I sell will only air in my ...what they call.... "DMA" or my area... The commercials you see on CBS are those that are sold Nationwide... (or multi-nation?)
