This is Queen of Sheba. I am going to take cuttings tomorrow.

Sharon is'nt it a water wise plant? I thought it was, since it is so draught tolerant. I have one big one that was here when I moved and I water it about 3x a year.

Happy Halloween guys

Well it grows in the rock water fall of the KOI pond and in the garden. But it also grows, if I let it, in the decomposed granite.

When it seeds, I let it grow in some areas, just to be able to give away. The nursery sales them as a water pond plant and wants $25 for a bad looking plant. Total rip off. This is it in the KOI pond. I thin it out in the spring or you cannot see the water fall.

Jeanette: I realize you were asking about a square pot thats 6" across and 4" deep.

The 25,000 would be an initial order from the feather pot manufacturers. even at 17 cents per pot would be quite an initial cost for me. I think it would take a long time to go through that many pots. My one question that still lingers is that how do the feathers effect the decomposition and life span might not last as long as traditional nursery containers.

Sharon: the B&B sounds like a great place to visit. I wish I was able to take advantage of the offer.

Have a great evening

I cut some honeysuckle and Pyrocantha a few rose cuttings to see if I can root it, along with something that looks like an MG only it goes mad, and is running a mock. It is called Blue Dawn Flower. I tried to cut some of it and see if I can grow it on my fence. The more the better. I love things that climb. I also potted up my Brugs that Jeanette sent me today, so I hope they are fruitful and grow little legs soon before the cold weather comes. I will leave them there for a few weeks and near Thanksgiving I will move them to a more sheltered area.
I also put my new Mexican Petunias in pots inside a West facing window today, because the roots are so tiny now.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Dave, my question was are the square ones bigger than the round ones? Do they take more potting mix?

Sharon is that Queen of Sheba a vine? It is beautiful. What is the hardiness zone?

Happy Halloween to you too Dawn. And the rest of you. Any trick or treaters? Bet Lee is in 7th heaven about now.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone!

Today is our 21 years together. The first 6 years we were not married and lived in the mobile home, while Steve was finishing our log home. I will send you a picture of it later, as the old pictures are not on the laptop and the flash drive only seemed to work with the other computer, though I will have to try it again. I might just have to try as I did not have any occasion to do so before since the desktop was running OK. Not so now. Tomorrow I most likely will be on the phone all day with HP. It is not a task I look forward to, but will do it anyway. Right now I am working on getting myself organized...not an easy task for me as I have been procrastinating....a VERY bad habit! It creates messes and then they snowball. I have been working very hard on this so hopefully I will be able to pull myself out of my hole.

I will have to copy all the files, well at least the photos and some of the software as the 2 computers though both HP one is 64 bit processor and the laptop is 32 bit, so they do not always interchange files. Maybe I will put the pix on a DVD and then transfer them to the laptop. HMMM...so much work...

'bye for now!

P.S. Dawn ~ I do not presently have any pyracantha. I gave it to my neighbor.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Jnette, it is a very long stemmed plant. I would say each stem is at least 5' long and very strong.

This is what I found on line. I cut it back completely and it is growing in a 3 gallon pot. I will bet that the roots have moved beyond the pot through the bottom and in to the landscape. It is to large for where it is so I am going to have to move it. I will bury a few branches and get them rooted.

I have a beautiful bush called "Queen of Sheba" (Podranea Brycei) with beautiful pink flowers. It was beautiful, bushy and doing well until now. It is now getting really woody from the ground up and looks almost like it wants to die. Should I be cutting it completely back, or sort of, or? My neighbor was grabbing the limbs and stapling them to her fence to get it on her side; was this the problem? Please help me regarding pruning or propagating and when to prune, or does it naturally get woody? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so very much. I love your column. -- D. Trappen

A. I know you love this plant, and I do not think it wants to die. It probably just wants a little tender loving care. It will tolerate hard pruning and will bloom more profusely afterward. However, you do not say how old it is, and it is true that plants, just like us, do not have an infinite life span. The good news is that this plant, also just like us, makes babies quite easily. Unlike us, it does this in several ways.

The easiest way is to take a trailing branch, lay it on the ground and cover it with soil (about 3 or 4 inches deep and 6 inches wide) a foot or two from the tip. Lay a rock on it if necessary to keep it underground. It will make roots and start to grow as a new plant. After it does this, cut the original branch from the mother plant. Now that you have a new plant, you can prune your original back severely, and it will most probably branch out again. Working a little compost into the soil will also help give it a new lease on life.

If your neighbor wants a plant, tell her to take one of the vines on her side and start a new one for herself. When a plant is started this way, it will be identical to the mother plant. It also starts readily from seed, but plants started this way may not be true to the original.

A little interesting history about this plant is that it is often called a native of Zimbabwe or South Africa, but many botanists believe it is native to South America and was taken to Africa by slave traders before the 1600s. After it naturalized in that region, names like Zimbabwe creeper, Port John's creeper and Queen of Sheba became associated with it.

Did not have as many treat hunting children tonight. Especially fewer Hispanics. I still have about 20 candy bars and about 25 juice boxes. The little children as so adorable. I greeted them with "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas". They would grin at me like, "she does not what holiday it is". Then I would get this great big smile. Then I would explain, that I was confused again about which holiday it was. The majority of them know me so they do know I am not crazy. We just closed the door and turned off all the outside lights. They have school tomorrow so they should be home going to bed.

Dave, you did not say what size pots you wanted. I would assume they will not have the 6" x 4" because that is usually an indoor plant pot.

Jnette, photo is full view of Queen of Sheba.

My grand daughter just skype me on my computer so this is really delayed. Sorry. Love you all. Sharon.

Here we go into another month. This time next week I will be having my stress test. UGH
I am scared to death they will find something horrible. I am not afraid of the test, just the results. LOL Problem is, I have NO pains or aches to speak of. Nothing out of the ordinary. I have been exercising more this past week and feel great, except for the anxiety. I will survive I am sure.
This past weekend was pretty busy. Got a few orders and mowed grass, I hope it will soon be time to give that up. Spent some time on Facebook playing those silly games. They do relax me. Transplanted some things in the GH and moved some plants around.
My twin boy cats are still missing. It breaks my heart but I guess they came of the age when feral cats take off and find a new home. Little do they know, they are NOT able to reproduce babies. That is a secret I did not tell them.
I went to Mass yesterday for a change. I think it helped my anxiety except I do not like crowds and that causes more anxiety. I saw a woman there I thought had died. She is an old friend and when I looked up and saw her, that made my day. She is so little , she is shrinking. We used to be the same size but now she is inches smaller. I am only 5 '2" so you know she is smaller. Funny how our lives start and finish. We grow up and then we shrink down. Crazy ....
It is a beautiful Fall Day, Just went for a long walk and now I must get busy. We had a heavy frost last night but today the temp has already gone up considerably. Have a great day. JB

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Poor cats. lol Ferals aye!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Howdy: just got back from getting my flu shot. they combined the h1n1 with the normal flu shot so it one shot...duhhhh makes sense so they waited a year to do it...lol

I always sleep the day away after the shot. I don't know why but it helps. so I won't be on till tomorrow .... I ...think ...key word is think lol we never know what I am goinbg to do.

have a great day
Dave

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Good luck Dave, I was sick for three days when I got mine. No fun. Stay in bed and cover your head.
Yes, but the boys missing were all neutered. I adopted five at the same time, all are fixed and healthy. Now those darn boys took off. Men.
Just got back from the Post Office. All plants are in the mail. Now I must do some bookwork. Later.
Do not forget to vote tomorrow.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

JB, you should not worry about the stress test unless they sop it and tell you to sit down, they have called an ambulance. That happened to two of our male friends.

I personally think if there was something really wrong they would be doing more tests than a stress tests.

SO, Mother Winter is telling you to stop worrying because worrying does not change a thing except your blood pressure. AND, they have so many things they can do now that are simple procedures. Vern's implantation of the pace maker was like going to the dentist. Just had to be in the hospital for 24 hours to make sure everything was working correctly.

Dave, the flu shot upset my stomach. I have one every year but for some reason this year it bothered me. Vern got his when he was in the hospital.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. I picked up the phone on Saturday and they wanted to run a survey to see who I thought should run for President of the US in 2012. I told them I thought they were nuts and hung up.

I thought lost cats always came back. Just some times it takes them longer to find out they have it good.

Jnette is in Spokane so we will not hear from her until later.

My grandson Luke and his mother are coming on the 4th through the 9th. I am looking forward to seeing the little rascal. Then the grand daughters from Vancouver, WA. are coming with their mother on the 11th through the 15th.

JB, I will try to find you on facebook. I, as usual , am Sharon K. Winter. It is that Chase Manhattan for 25 years+ mentality.

Lee, did you get captured by all of your trick or treat children?

Later, I need to get outside. High today is suppose to be 82. Blue skies and no wind and beautiful sun. Later friends.

Photo is Peace rose from Friday.

Sharon, from Learn2grow:

Plant Common Name

Queen-of-Sheba
General Description

Queen-of-Sheba vine is a twining climber that's native to Zimbabwe. It is most admired for its glossy leaves and lovely rose-pink tubular flowers.

The evergreen vine has slender branches and opposite compound leaves that are ferny and have bright green oval to lance-shaped leaflets. Its large flowers are trumpet-shaped with spreading lobes and appear from spring to summer. These are mauve pink with striped throats and are held in loose, branched clusters at the ends of the stems. The fruit is a long, leathery pod-like capsule.

This African vine prefers full to partial sun and well-drained, moist soil. It is frost-sensitive and not drought tolerant, so it is necessary to water during dry spells. Mature vines can become quite large and will take over if you let them. It is important to give them strong support (sturdy arbors or trellises) and prune them regularly. Meticulously pruned specimens can even be trained to become shrub-like and make nice screens or barriers. Queen-of-Sheba vine can be container-grown in temperate zones with cold winters so long as plants can be moved indoors during the cold season.

Would love to have a start of it. Jeanette

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

JB You need to live by my motto: Don't worry until you know you have something to worry about.

You are going to be just fine. By golly, if you don't have any aches or pains etc. at your age, I envy you and hate you. It just isn't fair!! LOL, you know I am kidding. I don't hate.

About those 2 Tom cats: Every male cat I ever had would take off every once in a while and be gone for a couple of weeks and then show up again. Some would be all beat up, scars, etc.

Think it will take Lee a few days to recuperate from her holiday. LOL, bet she had a ball.

Yeah, Bob had to get a cortisone shot. He always crips in there and dances out. LOL, wish they could put that stuff in the old joints. Like WD-40.

Booooooooo Here I am, all lost and dreary. The fun is over...............I survived........I think.....let me check.....Some of me is here..........where o where is my head????? I remember......I think>>>>>yep there it is .....no..no..over here. All is well...is well...is well. hehehe
Yep another one here and gone. had more kids than last year, lost count at about 125, and more after the third bag of goodies. I always count by how many pkgs in a bag. Had so many they had to stand in line to go thru the "haunt" Screams and laughter were the name of the game, it was soooooo much fun. We had a baby werewolf that was a hand puppet, you know where you put your arm and hand inside to make it move. DH had a blast, some scared, some wanted to pet and some had to see how it worked. This year the adults just had to go thru themselves. Didn't have any that wanted the candy, just wanted to see what the kids were ranting about. One little boy, about 7 I think, wouldn't go in with his folks, he came to me and asked if I would go with. Now you know I wouldn't turn hime down in a million years, we went and I almost wore him as a second skin, but he laughed and loved every minute. Mark had hooked all the animated things to a button mounted them all on a board so we could set them off when we wanted and it was just perfect. We also shut down at 8:30 so they had time to go home and get ready for school. I loved every minute of it, wish it came more often. Well, no not really. once a year is quite enough. Today, we went back to the Halloween store and got in on the 50% off sale for next year. What bargains we found. They treat us so great. Several more things were donated by them for next year (Mark will have to repair them). I am exhausted, and back and legs don't like me much, but oh what a time we had!!!!!!!
Guess will have to get back to plants-----SPV sweet potatoe vines. Remember, the trouble I had before, bought a couple this year and before the frost took cuttings and started them under lights. All look OK. Now just have to find room to start my seeds. Oh well, have until Feb to worry about that.
TTYAL Lee

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I read your post to Bob Lee, and he is green with envy. He loves Halloween. He sure misses it since we moved here.

Re your SPVs, watch them close for spider mites. They are real magnets. Especially inside where it is warm.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Merry, looks like you got some wonderful mulch there.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

With Merry mulch I would leave it right there and turn that pile into a compost pile and it would be great by spring.

Good luck on the chipping of the leaves. Be careful.

I got more plants from Aloha. More oleanders and more cannas. I think I need either a drink or a psychiatrist. I got the plants out of their packing and watered and now they are in my warm garage taking a nap. I also received about 20 naked ladies from an iris buddy in Texas for postage. Then I received 25 daylilies, two stalks from Cass in Day lilies because she was thinning our her day lilies for the new introductions. I again paid postage. The day lilies are enormous and very healthy.

Dave, I took a photo of my garage area and all my pots. I got part of the garage cleaned today. A truck load of the gardeners stopped by today and 4 guys hopped out. Said they wanted to help me clean the garage. They are with the main crew for the HOA. I said thanks but cannot do. Because you guys would get in trouble and it is all my mess and I know where it needs to go and I need to put it back. But I did give them a trick or treat candy bar. That is what you get back when you are nice to people.

I will download the photos tomorrow. I am going to vote tomorrow and that is the only thing I have to do all week. The rest is getting the garage back in order and get my new plants planted and more roots removed.....But I have all week and the weather is going to be beautiful....

Jnette, I bought that plant at Lowes and it is still in the same pot. I am going to put some of the vine in dirt to root. There is about 8 branches low that will be perfect for that. Dave, or anyone, how do your air root??

Lee, it sounds like you had a blast. I am so happy for you. I used to be that out of control for Christmas but a few jerks helped cure me of that. Later. I need to get to bed.

This is a coral canna blooming in the front landscape Friday.

LOL, you are right Sharon except that mulch is not in Nevada. She is in a cold climate and needs mulch for winter on her plants.

Sharon you are in the perfect area for your energy. We need the winter here to rest up after working all summer. You just keep working year 'round.

The sun is shining so it looks like a good day to finish my cleanup for winter. Still a lot to do. It has turned warm again here, in the mid to high 50s during the day and high 30s at night. Better get to it. ttyl

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi Gang, I am living it up. I did nothing today except vote and play with my new toy. I bought myself a Ipod nano so I can listen to my music easier and now I am going to get a pedicure. Just call me lazy lady.

I wish I could sleep better. I am not sleeping through the night and usually I sleep like a rock. Barney is doing so well, he sleeps like a log now and now I can not. Go figure.

You all sound like Halloweeen was a joyous time. I never have any visitors here on the farm because they have to come in the lane and it is too far to walk for the little guys. And, the kids in this neighborhood are so little they only visit a few places. I used to give out Hot Dogs and Orange Drink and fed the entire neighborhood plus when I lived in PA. Of course my kids were younger.

Be back later. Foot lady is here. JB

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

JB, you are a lazy SPOILED lady. LOL, That's OK! You deserve it.

Are you worried about that stress test? Is that why you can't sleep? That stinks. Your dr. should not have made the appt. so far away.

We don't have trick or treaters either unless my sister and BIL stop in and trick or treat for a drink and a beer. LOLl

Pretty good when the foot dr. comes to your house for the pedicure. How did you work that one?

Have a great day. ttyl

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Good evening everyone:
Are we asking about air layering??? Its pretty easy just have to keep the media (long spagnum moss) moist. I will go over it tomorrow if thats alright with everyone. Its been one of those days. up every hour on the hour. went to vote first thing this am and then could not get back to sleep. geeze
I did start getting ready for winter. got most of my tender plants inside. I just need to get my tender stuff out of the GH. Of course I am toying with the idea of not wintering the banannas. They are a huge pain in the rear and I fight them all year trying to keep them up right. Just about made my mind up to toss them. I do have a small one in the garage and will most likely take a few pups to plant next year. I did plant 2 in late fall to see how they do in our winter.
I did find a great suprise though. I was moving the bamboo around and found a new start off the drain hole on my black bamboo. I have 3 different bamboo's now. I really like the pots they are in. I just poped the plant and pot down into 5 gallon buckets to soak up water. I thought it was a neat plus.

well more to morrow have a great evening
Dave

Ventress, LA(Zone 8b)

I am interested in air layering. Will be watching.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Love that Coral Canna. Nice color. My Canna's have loved this cool wet weather we have had. They finally started blooming along with my roses the ones that did not bloom much all summer.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

I am the energizer bunny Sharon. If I get up and get moving, do not get in my way or try to keep up with me. Not possible. But if I sit down, just for 5 minutes, I am done. But some days I just do not get started.

But you are right Jnette, I have no idea how to garden where it gets cold. I cannot live where it gets cold because we could not afford to get the home as warm as I would need it to be.

The sun was out today and you really just wanted to stand there and let it heat up your whole body. The weather was beyond beautiful.

Voted today and then we went for yogurt. We were going to breakfast/lunch but did not get moving soon enough.

Bought batteries for two clocks that were gift. I could not believe the cost of the batteries. Expensive clocks but you had better be ready when you need to replace the batteries. One battery was eight dollars.

JB, you are a hoot. If I had not seen your photo, I would think you were 5'10" and weighted at least 200 pounds. You could no way hand out hot dogs now because someone would sue you for food poisoning. I had the candy bars separated by included peanuts or nuts and no nuts. Reason being we have 5 children in the neighborhood with nut allergies. The two children across the street are allergic to any tree nut.

JB, I am not sleeping either. I go to bed about 11:30 to midnight and I finally go to sleep between 2:30am and 3:30am. I do not toss and turn, just lay there and wish I would go to sleep because I have of ....... to do tomorrow. And then I go down the list in my head. And then I tell myself to turn off the list and go to sleep but I just edit the list time and time again. I am not uptight, just laying there doing my mind thing. If I had to get up and go to work, then I would be upset. I refuse to take anything to make me go to sleep. I will just work this out. Be going on for about 4 months but I am gaining more sleep each week so pretty soon I will be back to normal. My son, the doctor, thinks it is hormones. Later, I need to watch the national news.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

How is everyone today? Did everyone vote? Did you get what you wanted? Hope so, certainly a mix we have now.

We have a gorgeous day today. Blue skies, bright sunshine and suppose to be 59 degrees!! Not bad for a November day huh?:

That's good 'cause I have tons of stuff to do today. Should get my outside stuff pretty much cleared up today??? LOL, wishful thinking I am sure.

Well, it's almost noon so should be getting warmer out there, better get on it. ttyl

Air layering 101
A quick note as I am sure we will chat about it. Some of the following is my own humble opinion and I am sure you will be able to sort it out. I have tried to keep my opinion out of the instructions as much as possible.

Ok air layering... I had to look up a few points because it’s been awhile for me as it’s not a traditional type of propagation.
Air layering is done by cutting and removing a small section of bark and getting roots to form there. You will need

1. Sharp knife
2. Rooting hormone - powder and paste work best but I will try my liquid.
3. Long Sphagnum Moss - Not peat moss (see discussion below) small bag $10.00
4. A small bucket, pail, or anything large enough to hold a good sized handful of sphagnum moss. Soak the moss; wring it out a few times to make sure it’s good and wet.
5. Dust Mask & Goggles
6. Piece of plastic or saran wrap about 1 square ft. Press-n- seal might do a great job here.
7. Twist ties (bread) or twine
8. An energetic helper.

When handling Peat Moss which ever kind it’s important to use safety gear as the dry particles are so miniscule they can get into the lungs and eyes and cause some major health issues. Those with Allergies, Asthma and any other breathing issues should always wear a breathing mask. I recommend a stronger filtered mask if you have any of the conditions listed. These masks can be found on line or at the local hardware store or home depot. Look for them in the paint department.

Air layering is typically done in the spring through fall, with the exception of those in the warmer states. Summer tends to be tough because of keeping the sphagnum moss damp. Also the plastic acts like an oven cooking the contents in the plastic wrap.
1. After putting on your dust mask and Goggles. Put the sphagnum moss in the bucket and wet it down really good. I like to wring it out a few times to make sure it’s good and wet.
2. Select a semi hard wood to softwood branch about the size of a pencil to the size of your pinky and that is about 12" to 18" long. It’s best at the spot between the softwood and semi hardwood. cut around the branch HALF WAY around the branch. Do not cut all the way around it. Cut a second spot about 1/2" away from the first cutting so it matches the 1st one. The cut is tricky in that you just want to remove the first layer or two.
3. After exposing the inner layer of the branch coat the exposed wood with rooting hormone.
4. Take a good sized handful of long sphagnum moss pre moistened and wrap it around the area you treated with rooting hormone. A tight squeeze usually helps keep it in the shape you want.
5. Have your helper take the plastic and wrap it around the Long Sphagnum Moss. This is the tricky part.
6. Tie the plastic above the moss and below the moss.
7. Check the air layer a few times a week to make sure the moss is moist but not standing in water. You should see roots in about 8 weeks. Keep the moss moist.
8. Once you see a significant root mass cut the new plant free from the donor plant and pot it up in an appropriate sized pot.

Some people do the layering in late summer and cut it loose the following spring. This is fine for those in zones 9 and 10 and those feeling brave, but I tend to worry about how the freezing weather will affect the new roots. Plus we get such temperature swings it makes it tough to watch.

Long Sphagnum Moss vs. Peat Moss - They are both products of a bog which is farmed just like any other product or renewable natural resource. The Long sphagnum moss is part of the top layers of the bog. Peat moss or Peat is from the lower layers, or at least that’s my understanding of the formation of it. A marsh or BOG can be regenerated every 20 years. I have done some research on the issue with our bogs becoming nonexistent and I believe it will not happen because the owners of these bogs are well versed in the management of their resource.

There are a lot of other choices for amendments to our soil than peat and I am sure they work well for some of you. Having used both I prefer my good ole peat. The link below covers sustainability of the bogs and some other uses and locations of this natural resource.

http://science.jrank.org/pages/4460/Moss-Importance-humans.html

any questions???? please take pics when we do this as I do not have any to share.

also below is a link of a product I think is kool. I bought some but for the life of me I can't find where I put them. I hate that when it happens. I will probably find them later this winter as I really want to try it out on my JM out front as well as a few other tree's.

Dave,

1. The first 2 cuts you make: What do you do? Do you remove the bark and cadmium in between the 2 cuts? But only on half of the branch, is that right? On this last link you posted with the rooter cup that is what it looks like.

Good job. Very easy to understand. Thanks.

Jeanette

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Hi: Yes its to remove the top layer or 2. Yes the link is the rooter cup. it looks like a great tool to make it oh so much easier. I had planed to do it this spring but things kinda came up.
I am glad it came through well i waited overnight so I could get my thoughts together and double check weather or not to cut all the way around at the cut spots. I kinda thought not because if you did the end will die off from lack of delivery options. its kind of like cutting the main vein in the arm. without that vein it will wither and rot.
I also wanted to include the link because its cheap enough that they should be part of the inventory of tools. but i also understand for those who need to spend their gardening dollar else where. I like having options to choose from.
Anyone going to do this??? if so on what???
Dave

Did I spur on all this air layering conversation. I am glad if I did, because I have been doing it all wrong if so. If I read about it, it was so long ago that I did not remember the plastic and all. I was thinking it was take a part of the plant and lay it in the ground attached to the mother plant and let it root in the ground and cut it and remove it from the parent later. Good thing I think out loud with you all. Thanks. The moss was helpful too.

Dawn, there is nothing wrong with the way you are describing 'cause that is another way to root them. But, you, or someone asked about air-layering, and this is what Dave told us how to do. By using a branch that you could not get down and root on the ground like you are talking about. This is done up in the air where the branch is.

Good job Dave. And thanks Dawn. I can't do it now Dave, too cold out to root anything. But, good time for the warmer climates.

I can try this with my Pyrocantha. My cuttings never grow. I need to order some good gel rooting hormone. I never see any around here. I did say Layering. I am now interested as to what your opinion is Dave, since you are holding back. I am so ignorant on the subject of Propagation that I could not possibly be offended by your opinion.

Kudos to Dave.

Well written and very easy to follow.

I copied and saved the instructions to a WORD file.

I'm going to too.

I did that too. Sometimes I copy stuff like this in my blog here as well. In case my computer crashes and it is not backed up.
