That's great, much like our weather forecast..can't believe the wind though this morning, everything going from side to side.

Shouldn't take me much longer than 45 minutes or so from hotel near outlet malls/border area to CrackerBarrel should it? What time is your Saturday night show and where is it?

Tomorrow we meet at Jeanna's house at 3:30, going to Texas RoadHouse for dinner.....then Show starts at 7:00 at the HSBC arena. Its sold out! Going to be packed. All six of us going together. Three acts, Georges Strait, Reba McIntyre and LeeAnn Womack. Paul said he was wearing armor so I don't grab his leg or arm and cause damage......he speaks from past experience when I get excited! haha

I can just imagine, look what you did at the Grand Ole Opry

Crissy, was thinking of you this morning, the news was showing about 24 little girls all dressed in their favorite princess dress and were at the CasaLoma Castle for a tea party..they had Cinderella come in and all were spending the day at the castle, hair done, nails, massage, had to laugh, many were under 8..quite an experience for them...we should have been there!!!

This is what I am working on. The top is half done! I am trying to get it done by the 20th, but it may be a day or so late!
Our weather is beautiful today, all of 78 degree's right now, but I am going back to the sewing room!

Whew! Stacey ! Thank you for my Jonathan fix ! Don't make me wait so long puhleeze! So glad he is gaining weight.... I do remember the zombie days although 18 years ago.... LOL

Debbie - I am SO excited for you! Please order me a ribeye and some mushrooms...! Sounds like an All Star line up.... no wonder it's sold out... Fun times...please don't beat up DH in your excitement ! LOL

Yes Betty - the hours flew by.... The lady at the catering hall told DH to get there early... "Folks usually run really early for 50th anniv. parties". I didn't really believe all that... I mean the invitation said 7pm !

So I'm the first "Host" to pull up at 6:15pm... and there are ALREADY four people there !

DH somehow at the last minute gets a limo to pick up my MIL and FIL... they thought he would be picking them up ! So another surprise for them! (He didnt have t pay for it... only the driver - knew the limo owner)

BRB... going to upload pics to my computer... I'm exhausted...

Mary, I bet MIL & FIL were so thrilled! I can't wait to see pics and hear the rest of the story.

Now, if I didn't beat and scream and get all excited...DH would think I was ill....he has come to expect it. Even if I have to fake a good time! NOW, if I am seeing Alan Jackson, there is NO faking. Poor Dh has had battle wounds from me squeezing his arm....or his leg. And swearing he was bruised worse than when I was in labor. lol Now, George might just have that same effect/affect on me.....and I know my oldest daughter will be about the same. I just love his music and he is very good "eye candy!" I have seen Reba several times, matter of fact Iwon tickets by "buzzing like a bee" for 92 seconds, yep, I did it. She is a beautiful woman, usually changes outfits 4 or 5 times during a concert and quite the stage presence!

Well, I have errands to run already....and get ready for meeting Miss Betty tomorrow for breakfast. I should be ready to sleep all day Monday after this weekend! lol

Waiving Hello Bev, Tubby, Barb, Susan...Crissy, you back from Conference? Hope that went well.

So Thursday, I did work out in the yard, yikes lots to do. Did what I could, at least touching a little of everything. LOL, just like my reading from Crissy, I'm a little like "The absent minded professor" ok,ok A lot. Was pretty tired.

Then yesterday, I was going to work outside, but ended up watching my shows while working a really cool little non sew quilted ornament...My craft table is right outside the kitchen, every time I look up, can see the the really ugly white cabinets, decided I couldn't stand them any longer, began painting them...I like the Spiced Cider, needs a couple of coats...But now, I don't like the dark blue!! So I think that's going to go, sighs...Hahaha, I wonder if I'm color blind, just can't mix and match colors!

So what are you all working on? Linda is this the weekend you go for Dad??

OK, off to see what everyone else is doing, have some coffee and Get myself outside, got to take advantage of this gorgeous weather!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I got back from the conference at 8pm last night and I was wiped out! My dad and his girlfriend showed up Thursday at 5pm and they were a hit! Everyone loved them and were so glad to have them there, it was awesome!

Lots of work, then a speaker starts speaking so there's nothing to do, an hour later the speaker is done and there's a 15 minute break and slammed busy again, then another speaker starts speaking and again nothing to do. It's like that for 2 days.

Driving Dave's Toyota Tundra TSS (4 door 2 wheel drive 20 inch low profile tires) was a treat at times, lol, and Ms. Cheerful was actually very nice to be around this time, I only had one problem, well one and a half problems. On Wednesday when we got to the hotel we were getting our luggage out of the truck and putting it on a luggage cart. She had 2 suitcases and some hang up clothes, I had one suitcase on 4 wheels that will fit in the overhead compartment in a plane so no biggie. She loaded her stuff up onto the cart and told me, without leaving any room on it, that I needed to put my suitcase on the cart. I looked at the cart and told her I was fine. She started YELLING at me to obey my elders and put the suitcase on the cart. Well our boss was out there helping his assistant unload her car and he looked up at me shaking his head and I looked at him and gave him this look that was supposed to say, "Really!! You have GOT to be kidding me!" She ran over to him and yelled, "Christine isn't obeying her elders!!!!" I had turned my back but suddenly all the yelling and screaming stopped and she got very nice again. Then at dinner Wednesday night we went to a restaurant where his daughter works I had a glass of Bass Beer with about a 3ft long Philly Cheesesteak, then I had a Buttery shot. I overheard her say to whoever was sitting beside her, "I'm going to have to find a new designated driver." I ignored it and when we left at 9:30pm I had 4 other people with me and of course we were fine. I even had a cop follow me most of the way, then he hit his lights, I merged over to the right lane, he flew around me and went into the college. So she was pleasant to work with, room with, and be around 95% of the time, so that's good.

Hi Debbie!!!

Well, that does worry me about Tubby, but I'm wondering if they're having a hard time paying some of their bills because of the medical bills so their cutting what they can. If they both have cell phones they may cut the regular phone and internet off completely, it's expensive to have health problems, I can totally relate.

Well I'm going to do more horoscopes in a little while, Dave forgot to water the hydrangeas in the back and they are beyond wilted so I got up at 7:30 this morning and went out to water and it was Cold outside! It's supposed to reach 80* today so that's perfect gardening weather!

Sewing on my granddaughter's quilt today. Almost have this one completely pieced and then I can start on the other one. And on one for my son-in-law. Oh, and Judy - your row goes in the mail Monday morning!!!! Got that done this morning too...

Thanks Dianne ! DH just happened to be talking to a customer who owned a limo... it was really pretty... the guy said he could use it... "just find a driver"..... I was glad because even if "Cat out of the bag" re the party... I'm sure the limo was a surprise....

The cameras and the slide show were Big Hits !

Remind me not to go to a concert and stand next to Debbie ! LOL Reba is one of those stellar performers.... seems like a good person in her heart... THat's tonight ?

YES YES YES Reba and George are tonight! Mary, no worries....its only when the "cowboys" come out on stage I get a bit riled up. DH says the worse so far was Alan Jackson, when I "dove" for the guitar pick he tossed....and I got it! Then there was Billy Ray....omg that man is a looker in jeans and a muscle shirt in person! lol NOW, George....he is a mighty fine gentleman....and well, that voice to just sing like velvet. AND my daughters are worse with George than I am! haha Miss Reba can perform....I just love her. Have seen her 3 or 4 times....George only once, and I was in the nose bleed section. We are on the floor tonight...18 rows from the front.

I will report back....with pictures hopefully! lol

Bringing you up-to-date:
Offered a job (Casual, no benefits, but would keep me busy every work day!) but I turned it down because it paid less and had no benefits. I also turned it down because I was told that one of the other two jobs I interviewed for was going to offer me a job, doing what I was used to doing - Secretarial, at a similar rate of pay. I got a call on Friday saying it wasn't one of the two HR Service dept, but IS one of the more technical HR dept. I will get a call next week saying which one. Apparently, the two who interviewed me on Wed passed over my resume & Interview Notes on me to the Technical side. Now, I'm waiting to hear, BUT I HAVE A JOB!!
Took me 2 months, which sounds phenomenal!!

Judy, I go the last week end of October to get Dad!

Karoosh is doing much better. He started perking up yesterday afternoon. He is still a picky eater, but that is nothing new! So glad he is better, I hate to see furry critter sick like that!

I wish I was there also. I just love any of the food and to just walk around and look at all the stuff.
DH pulling baseboards after flood in basement and there is this lovely green stuff growing ......I could just SCREAM.....now we are not sure if insulation growing mold...... so so upset.

Awe Dianne- That's a shame.... do you think the insurance co. will cover someone to come out and remove the mold?

Awaiting the answer on insurance as there are 2 one for items ruined in the water and then structure so not sure it just really &*%$#@ me off that it has been 2 weeks because so many other people had damages also. I just do not functional well in choas (sp) . And my basement is in a mess..........

Completely understand Laura ! I don't function well in chaos either. I'm so bad ...I completely cleaned the kitchen yesterday. Now there is a bowl next to the sink. I just took a picture and txted it to DH.... I refuse to speak to him until the bowl is picked up....
