Checked the basil, & it's fine...no frost....great today....glad your hike went well, Victor....my dog walking was super. They do bow hunt, & as of Sat. hunt with shotguns behind our dam....I always wear a blaze orange hat, & do not go down during shotgun season...couldn't believe one fellow down there today....in brown & olive. I asked him if he was hunting...no...he showed me a metal detector.....told him he shouldn't be dressed like a turkey!

I'm fine with the rain, but not the wind.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

The last wind/rain storm picked up my metal framed gazebo and tossed it like a stick. Brian will have some welding to do next spring. :(

Thomaston, CT

Oh, no.....I've brought the patio chairs in....that's all that was still outside....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I would like to see too Victor. Btw you have a pink cornus kousa yes? Have you noticed if the deer get after it or not?

Thomaston, CT

Not raining here yet, but clouds are very ominous....

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

pat i have 3 satomi's kousa's and deer do not touch them, one beni fuji and one radiant rose kousa and they have left them alone too.

victor seems to have more deer issues though..........

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Bill. I was thinking three of them for the newly cleared space if the bambi crowd will leave them alone long enough to grow. Which one do you like best?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have Satomi too, Pat. Now it's too big to be an issue. Can't remember any major damage when it was small but I had fewer deer then.

South Hamilton, MA

clouds but no rain as yet. Bill have you put spells around your garden to keep the rain away?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

you would like so - go to thebostonstation.com and click on the weather and find futurecast i am not kidding - i am cursed i tell ya!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

46 degree's and pouring!
It's nasty out there! It's pouring here and the wind has picked up....expecting 2" of rain with this storm. Winds are picking up more as the morning goes by, they should be around 25-32 MPH w/ 40MPH gust soon.....Goodby Electricity!! Hopefully NOT!

Electricty will come back, leaves wont.
