Back from the wedding in Chicago. Weather was nice - a bit warm, but nice and clear. Had a great time, but happy to be home. 73 and getting overcast here.

Thanks, Victor! Yes it is! Glad you had a nice trip to Chicago! I'm surprised it was warm there. I never have much of a sense of the weather there, and am usually surprised when our friend there writes about it. Not sure why that is.

Was 73 here, sunny, & just a great day....went to a birthday lunch for a friend's Mom who turned 95.....

boy did we have a bad thunderstorm with quarter sized hail... high winds the whole 9... not enough lights outside yet to see if the decorations were messed up or not

Oh no!! Sorry to hear that, totally unexpected huh? I hate hail...it really can do some damage in a short amount of time. :(

A little rain last night but the sun is breaking out now. Temp is 53 degrees and the wind is from the NE and light.

about 1/8" of rain overnight. After last week, the ground remains damp, although a bit dry underneath. I agree with Bill as to more rain, but we need garden work time as well.

it was 32 at 5am here - did not see frost in my yard there was a ball field in groton that was all frost

Cold last night. Got down around or below freezing but Although there is plenty of dew, I did not see any frost this morning. Temp now is 47 and the sun is out. Very light NNW wind. Should get into the low 60s today and looks like the last nice day until the weekend.

Dipped to 69° indoors so I kicked it up to 71°, leaves starting to fall here. (This time last year I was still wearing shorts!) Can't complain though, normal Fall temp pattern so far. Beautiful morning here.
