Charlene
I contacted the newspaper via email, tommorrow, I will contact the city manager, all up & down our street, my neighbor & I are the only one that have junk in front of our house's, the pile is higher now, plus they racked their tow motor across the neighbor's sidewalk, so if they paint it with their x's to be replaced I have a photo, I have the sweetest neighbor's
anyway, all up & down the street when they removed the asphalt, they had a dump truck too remove it
it being an election year they should consider things like that, I have photo's of the green space they made me remove
lucky I have the before, during, then I will have the after photo's on a better note, I put a Blooming Brug, that I have in a flower pot on the porch too make the view a lot better

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Very Good Elizabeth, you get them!!!! That brug will make it look even worse with it's beauty.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

Charlene
the view is better from the living room out, Thank you, they have just picked on the wrong person, if we had known they were going too do that, we would have bought a different house, Thank goodness, in awhile we can move, maybe by Spring
you're so Lucky that you live where you do, you have a Beautiful place, the woods are great
there is a House we were looking at that has 3 acres fenced, enough room for all my Brugs & a garden, that would be heaven, now that it's a buyer's market, we might get it for a lot less than they're asking for it, we'll see once, the people are back from Vacation

Debra, your plantroom is looking great. I have been moving my brugs around too. I think they will probably all end up in the basement. They just take up so much space in the plant room.
Elizabeth, MBH is as beautiful as ever.So is Santa Rosa.Hopefully they will get the mess on your styreet cleaned up soon. What better way to block the uglies, than with a nice blooming brug! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, that you get that house! It is definately a buyer's market, right now.
Charleen, I can see why Xena is your favorite.....so pretty. Congrats, on the new greenhouse. You are gonna love it. I used to have a small one too, but sold it when we moved to the last house. The yard was just too small for it.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Hey Dee
there you are, Thank you, tommorrow, is a different day, I will call the City manager, this is ridiculas, I have a photo of the whole street, I will give it too Journal news, I sent them an email to their section of sound off, where your voices are heard
from my point of view it's discrimation, no one else on the street has too put up with that kind of junk, I am glad it's an election year, that's when the squeeky cog get's the oil
BTW how many Brugs do you have too dig, I've only got 23 more then I am done

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, remember the little zebra haworthia that you gave me when we visited? Well,as soon as I brought it into the sunroom, it shot up a bloom stalk, and has started putting out a couple babies. Here's a pic of the bloom stalk. Isn't it cool?

Debra- I love your hanging shoe holder being used for smaller plants! I'm gonna get one! ^_^

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

cost a dollar at the dollar tree, sheri... I love it. Last winter it was full of blooming plants that started out as seeds. You do have to put something under the little pots to keep them straight up tho, I just havn't gotten to it yet, when I water, it flows over the edge right now. Here is last years, in another area, minus a hook for the door..this was in end of feb or first of march I think...

Debra, looking great! You can tell you have been working hard.Love the color of Lime Zinger! I grow Elena, which is chartruese too.In your main plant room, what are the 3 variegated plants in the blue oblong planter , on the lower right..looks like clivia?
I love the dollar tree for plant containers. Also, I have been picking up pretty saucers and plates at the goodwill to use as plant saucers. If you aren't looking for dish sets, it's easy to find pretty ones. When they go 1/2 price, plates are .50 and saucers are .25.....can't buy the clear plastic ones for that at walmart.I always pic the earthy colored, deep ones.
Dee

Debra....when using the hanging shoe shelf, do you water often, or does condensation build up in each pocket and self water?? I'm definatley gonna get one of those!!!!!!

Hamilton, OH

plants, well he was, I told him the view was a whole lot better with plants, I gave them over night before I called the city
that's what got them on the ball, so all is good

Dee, I do not have clivia, but I am going to "want" it someday. That is some kind of succulant from Padre Islands my Ex sent up with older daughter two years ago, it needs to be divided and separated as they grow huge I am told.
Tiff, They do hold moisture , but make sure you put something under the pots to make them sit up straight, they tend to tip over. ( Lose water) Also, put sand on top of those for fungus gnat control.
Elizabeth, your brugs are so beautiful. I wish I could come there to help you. I pulled out Milk n Honey and Kylies Pink from the front corner, Pend Pink and SD pod 6 from front triangle. One more to go out there.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Santa Rosa has a nice twirl. ;)

Hamilton, OH

Debra
you would have laughed at me, I wasn't going too quit, I thought, they made me move my plants too look at that horrible mess, I wasn't going too look at it all week end, I wish my basement looked as organized as yours, I was just sticking them in there, I did get a lot done in about an hour & a half
Santa Rosa is becoming my favorite, I probably won't think that when I have too dig it up tommorrow, I would love too cross
SA with Super Spot, here's what it looked like before they moved it

WOW! gee, does anyone have a towel to wipe my drool off with? LOL
Dee, I will send one of those things. I only need one. There are three plants in there.
This stictocardia breavenis takes the whole closet down stairs. Air Hog. I cut it back and now it is going crazy. I have yet to see it bloom. Here is hoping. The bottoms of brugs and gingers are under it on some cardboard covered with plastic table liners. I picked up 6 more plastic waste baskets at dollar tree this afternoon for the rooted cuttings I have here. I burn holes in the bottoms with a long candle lighter. it works for winter. I deleaved and was checking cuttings from my coleus collection from gebhardts, and they are all rooted already. That was fast. I had them stuck in the large pots all around the edges. Now I have to get them out and re-pot them into small seedling pots. They will be ready for send outs soon. I made cuttings of lantanas, hibs and jasmines while I was at it. Here is hoping those root as fast as the coleus and salvias did.

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, there's no mistaking MBH is there? What a beaut! Thanks you for the offer of succulents in the Spring.I'd be very happy to re-home any of your extras ;o) .Just let me know when ya need the postage. I know you will be so glad to have all your plants in. But, if I know you, you will start getting ready for Thanksgiving, right after that..lol Oh....to be as organized as you are , would be wonderful.
Debra...you know I had to look up a plant with a name like that ...stictocardia breavenis....sounds like something that would choke the life right out of ya...lol.What a beautiful bloom, and an amazingly fast grower...did I read possibly 6 ft. a day...oh my. You said that yours hasn't bloomed yet.How long have you had it? did you start it from a cutting? And, thank you for sharing that cool variegated succulent. I love varigated and BIG..well, I just love them all.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Guess what, my big jade plant is covered in flower buds.I didn't even know that they bloomed. Maybe it's because I finally re-potted it this year. It was soooooo rootbound.

Jade Blooms? WOW

You guys , we are all gonna have one big "YAY we are done getting things tucked away for winter " Party.
DH and Son were talking about the tubs they are bringing in this weekend. I told son I have to dig up Cherub. She has been whacked ( the three other stems) but now she has to come in, and she is still fully loaded with blooms. My Basement is still a mess. Told DH not cleaning anything down there until it is all in, and placed where I want it to be. But, I did promise to clean house before Thanksgiving.. ugh.
Dee, sticto was a small plant when I got it, it went crazy and grew all these arms about 8 ft long, no blooms yet, year two. It looks like it is budding now , tho.
I am rooting a cutting right now. Passies and chalice vine got detached from the gutters and roof tonight. they are all in a heap waiting for cut back.once those are in, I will be completely done.
