Elizabeth, can you start us another thread? With this slo-o-o-ow dial up, it is taking me forever to get this one loaded.
Retta, beautiful begonia.Looks very happy. If you take cuttings of your begonias in the spring, I'd like to be put on the list.I'm sure I can come up with some plants that you just gotta have..lol.
Sheri, like Elizabeth said this is a busy time of year, but we will all be snowed in soon enough..and going stir crazy.
Got some beautiful plants from Elizabeth, today. That weeping jade is sooo cool.It reminds me of a weeping cherry the way it twists and hangs down.

You all have some absolutely GORGEOUS Brugs!!!!! Elizabeth, I am in love with the one in your original post, Miss B. Havin Brugmansia. I am a beginning Brug grower and look forward to having a yard full of beautiful Brugs with the wonderful fragrance filling the air.
Crit.. dmail me if you want some cuttings of Cherub, and Chrissy, and Frosty Pink..
Welcome to the brug Forum!
Debra
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, TY Debra! You 'will' got mail in a little bit. :-))
This is so exciting. I have some white nubbies around one stalk that had moist paper towel wrappedin transport baggie. Do you think the paper towel is encouraging the 'nubbie' formation? should I leave the pptowel loosley around this one in the h2o2 water.? I will have my Va checck tomorrow so will get the bubbler for the bucket of brug stalks....oooh I'm just about to bustwith excitement.
Sheri
Everyone has so many beautiful plants...especially the brugs! I luv the Miss B. Havin!! She will be added to my wishlist.
So....we don't plant outside until chance of final frost is past, right?? Should I begin watering more and any feeding. I have noticed them letting me know when they are thirsty
I'm so happy spring is about here! Beautiful here today. In the 80's but a 30 mph wind! Been working in the garage!
Is it time to plant outside yet??
Now, is it time to plant my Brugs outside.
This past week has had a few late winter temps @ night of 41*
From what I have understood, the night temps need to be at 50*. I'm in Oklahoma in 7a and have not put mine out yet, but I'm no brug expert. Just haven't had time. lol
I am also zone 7a/b so I;ll wait for the 50's Glad I didn't get them planded 2 weeks ago, nights were like early summer. Fan over the bed & in the LR were revved up to high.
the inside temp was in the 70's
Us too, but we are in a cold rain right now.......Praise GOD! We needed it so badly! Last check we had an inch. I dug down to plant lily bulbs the other day, and it was dry 6" down. This is a slow gentle rain and will soak in and really do some good. I think probably we would be safe to go ahead and set them out. Don't really believe we will be going into the 40's this late in the season. I usually wait until after Easter, but if Easter is early, I wait until close to May Day. May 1st .
Crit
mine have been in the ground for the last 2 weeks, they are loving this rain, we are 8 inches over what we should be this time of year, I have mowed my lawn 3 times now, so it's safe to put your Brugs in the grounds
Elizabeth
My most significant Easter was 4/21/57. I had not been a bad little girl, so I never could understand how that silly rabbit got confused and brought me a baby brother. I had wished and prayed for a baby sister!
Mine are all out.. every where, as is everything else, rain all day, kinda cool, low into 40's tonight.. I took a look outside and we are all doing fine out there.. ( so far)
I just need to get things together and get it done! Procrastinating I guess. :-) We had about 2.25" of rain, with another good chance Tuesday night into Wednesday. We were going to do it Saturday, but had a horse incident that had to be taken care of. Sunday was raining real good and we just never got it done.
Debra all your brugs are outside and planted! Oh my, we just got snow yesterday but by now it's almost gone. It's too early for me to bring any of my plants and the one brug out.
:( Donna
Glad I didn't get it done. Suppose to be 38* here tonight. Nooooooooooooo, it's MAY!!! Stupid el nina and la nina. Wish they would get their stuff straight!
my brugs are gonna hafta tuff it out tonite for one hour it will be 34 at 6 am ( I look at the hour by hour, and then the sun will be out)
PG, ONE BRUG?? R U KIDDING ME? We hafta fix that asap.
