♥♥ Sweet Interruptions ♥♥ 201

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ah - That's what koozies are!! I never knew that LOL

yes, Jaye - now either before, or after, Donna gets back into the city, I will know what my options are my previous job, and certainly by the 12th I'll know if I get this job I interviewed for today.

btw - the new position will give me PARKING..... it's really a premium at any of the places within the Health community, and the Hospitals are the worst! It took me 1 1/2 years to get Street Parking, and would be 1 year plus to get Lot Parking!!

Anyway - here's hoping Something is Settled..... one way or another!!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Got my fingers crossed!

Tonight is my Garden Club meeting....subject...bringing Tropicals in for winter....maybe I'll learn something!

Okay, Jaye...thanks for the heads up on the brug names...I don't know why I get those two confused.

Tomorrow my subscription expires...so it will be a few days before I can get back on....try not to leave me in the dust while I'm gone!

To those sistahs that have candy coming....it's on the way. Went to the P/O today and sent them off!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

((((((((((Cookie)))))))) get back to us, soon!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oooh Candy!!
Will Kel be expecting any? I know I told you to wait.. but I think it will be okay as temps are in the low..low.. 80's.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

She's not going anywhere, Susan..
she'll be with us tomorrow for sure!!!

she says "a few days".......

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Tante-I am just glad I am not boring anyone:)

Susan-maybe someone gifted her a subscription....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Well, that's what she said today.
If someone gifted her a subscriptions, that would be Awesome! I had it happen to me and I'm everlastingly grateful.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

That IS what happened, and I'm just guessing....but I think big thanks are due to my sweet Angel from TC, NC! Hugs and thank you, thank you!

Yes, Jaye...I checked your zip code and through Wednesday they were calling for 70's for you so I sent them on their way!

Last night was okay at garden club. It was actually more about house plants that people put outside and she really didn't have too much to say. She said she'd never heard of Neem oil......

Okay, off to walk the kingdom!

Love you all!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Awe, she is a Blessed angel for sure!

Morning everyone!

Coffee is ready, come and get it!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I'm happy your subscription was gifted to you ^_^

Stacey - you Never bore us with your "chronicles of Jonathan" - we look forward to news Each & Every Day, and updates every time there is one - looking forward to the Home Version pf "Chronicles of Jonathan" ^_^

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Susan-I plan to copy and paste my daily chronicles into a word doc adding a little about the pregnancy and detailing the whole birth thing too-I will have to find a way to link it or something after I am done.

Copied and pasted:
I must have jinxed myself yesterday by saying the day B4 was uneventful, because yesterday was FULL of drama!! First of all, Jonathan is up to 6lbs, 12.25oz. Every am I call after the nurses get done feeding their babies to see how his previous 24 had been. What he took by bottle each time, what his score was and if he had any alarms. I called yesterday and had a nurse I had never had B4. I asked her to go over the feeds and when she did, she told me that the night nurse put his feeding tube back in because he didn't take 10ml at his 3am feed. I said I didn't understand the necessity for such a small amount and the fact that he hadn't needed it since 6am on Friday. I then asked to finish going over his feeds. She got very defensive and said that if I didn't believe what she was saying, then I could come in and look at the paperwork myself. I told her that I called every am and asked these same ?? from every nurse, so I wasn't targeting her for anything. She continued to be snippy with me for the remainder of the conversation. I was a little upset about the 1 feed she did too-she said he only took 20ml for her and I thought that was fishy since he had not taken less than the 40ml for anyone else since Fri and had often taken more than his 50ml. I did not ?? her about this, just kept the ?? in the back of my mind. When I got off the phone I was livid!! 1st of all for her to act that way toward me-I have the right to call and ask any ?? I want in regards to my son's care without getting attitude on the other end of the line. 2nd-his Drs orders were for ad lib feeds meaning that if he took a little less in a feed, that was fine, if he wanted more to eat, that was fine and his orders were for feeding every 3-4 hrs and to only reinsert tube is necessary. For the night nurse to stick it back down his throat for 10 measly ml peed me off!! By the time I got to the hospital I was fit to be tied. I asked to speak to the nursing supervisor as well as my Dr. I told the supervisor that I would like to not have the nurse for the rest of the day and did not ever want to have her again. After she listened to what I told her (she was our nurse a couple of times, so she knew me) she agreed that the night nurse should not have done the tube and that the day nurse had no right to act the way she did on the phone. She replaced the day nurse and I ended up with one that I really like-my fave actually. Then when the Dr came, she joined him in my room and we all talked. I told the Dr that one of my concerns was the fact that by their rules, he had to be on the bottle 100% for 48hrs and now the stupid (I didn't call her that to them, just in my mind) night nurse has set us back 2 days. He said that he wouldn't hold that against Jonathan and that he would be looking to see his daily consumption by bottle instead of his individual feeds. He then wrote up an order for no tubing and reassured me that taking him home by the end of the week still looked good if things stayed on par. We talked about a few other things to make sure we were all on the same page. I was much calmer by the time he and the supervisor left the room. When I went into his room at noon, he was getting his pictures taken and that took a little bit, so by the time she was done, he cried all the way through his diaper change and redressing until I had his bottle ready and sat down to feed him. Hopefully his pics will be on the net tomorrow so I can link it for you-one in particular was super adorable!! He has a blue and a green and yellow dragon in his room so she laid him down on a white sheet and he just had on his diaper. He had a sheet for the background and it was draped over his waist and the way she arranged him looks like he is hugging his 2 dragons-soooo cute!!! From noon yesterday to 9am this am (his 8 feeds) he scored all 3's except 2-2's. He had 3 feeds he only took 45 ml and 1 he took 40 ml, but he made up for it by taking 60ml for 3 feeds, so he was up 5ml for his daily intake. He again had no alarms, so all is good right now:) Our Dr works again tomorrow, so we are hoping he will tell us when we can take him home:)

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Wow - what a "jonah" day that was, Stacey!!!!!!!
I'm so glad your Dr is working "with you" rather than "with the staff", cuz YOU'RE the MOTHER after all...... and you want your baby HOME!!! (rather sooner than later, right?!?!)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

OMG Stacey you were much calmer than I would have been, I gotta hand it to you. I would have been driving with major road rage.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Crissy-I didn't say anything about the drive there-LOL;) But to make sure that I was heard and not dismissed, I had to get myself under control and not sound like a crazy woman;)

Susan-I do want him home, but not B4 he is ready..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

of course, not B4 he's ready, but there's no point in "stalemating" you with errors by staff, is my point.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Gotcha Susan-and totally agree:)

Copied & Pasted:
Yesterday went really well. Jonathan ate 65ml's for his noon feed and 55 for his 3pm feed:) He is doing great and it looks like today or tomorrow will be his coming home date. It is funny-my mom is driving today (left her house at 6am and will be here between 4-6pm) and she has been saying for the last 3 weeks that he was going to wait until grandma got here to come home so he wasn't stuck with a clueless mommy and daddy by himself;) I guess she had it right all along-LOLHe is up to 6lbs, 14oz and he got a bath yesterday-I did learn that if I lean close to him, he is calmer in the bath-yesterday he fisted my shirt to like hold him to me while I washed him:) Little cutie that he is. I went out and got donuts for the nurses and am taking in the left over candy from my 2nd baby shower in for a few special nurses:) His pics that the hospital took are online if anyone wants to look at them, just send me an email at Fairy1004@gmail.com. I truly wish we had enough $$ to get everyone one, but they are a little pricey. I had even thought about getting the CD that comes with the copyright relinquishment, but that is even $100!! As it is we will be able to afford a couple of pics for us, but if family wants them, they will have to pay for their own...:(

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

awwwwwwwwww what a sweet little man, holding him Mommy near, dear, and close to him. He knows you're the bestest mommy (AND of course the bestest fairy!!)

I sent you an email re: pictures.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks-she took 4 pics of the two of us, and actually I liked a frontal one better-you could really see his little hand on my chin:)

HE IS COMING HOME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a call from his nurse and she told me that he took his 9am bottle well and I thought it was odd she would call me for that, then she said "Jonathan and I had a talk and he told me that he is ready to blow this popsicle stand today." I got so excited and made sure I understood what she was saying by asking if he gets to come home today. She said the Dr had come by and released him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will go pick him up in a little bit!! I am so excited/joyful/nervous and about a thousand other emotions!!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm so happy for you Stacey and Chris. These first few days are really precious so try to really enjoy them...And take as many pictures as you can - the time just flies.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'll be upset if I had not come online today and missed the news of Jonathan going home today!
PTL!! PTL!!! Been a long, long, time awaiting.

Yesterday, after some work in the a.m. I came home ill.
Don't know what it is, but my sinus too had decided to be unmerciful. So slept the rest of the day till noon this morning.
Kel woke me up to grilled porkchops and now I am ready to return to bed :(

Mind's not co-operating with me, neither are my limbs.. hope I get to feel better tomorrow.

Love you sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Jaye, get plenty of rest. I was sick with allergies too. Take some actifed, that helped me! Or get your netti pot out!

(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending warm hugs and wishes that you are well quickly Jaye....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm going through all these allergy and sinus meds like a druggie on cocaine!!!!!!

Worse are both my feet are like tree trunks!!! So, when I walk, I waddle more now.
Hmm.. if my kitties could talk, they'll say.. Mama Duckie.. here here.... LOL!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Such happy news for Stacey and Chris. Special day for everyone.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((JAYE)))))))))))))))))))))))) Hope you get over that fast!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye, take care of yourself, sweet sistah - we'll take you "any way" but healthy is sooooo much better ^_^

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Tante-be careful as some of the sinus meds to cause water retention. Especially mixing certain ones-you may want to talk to your pharmacist about what you are taking/your symptoms...

THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Well, we have him home and he is adjusting OK. I think the different sights, sounds and smells are making him wake upo a smidge more than usual, but I am sure he will be fine:) Of course we are taking a ton of pics-LOL. He is snoozing in his bouncy right now:)

Also, some of the peeps I have emailed the link to the hospital pics want to order some, so if anyone else wants any, just email me and I can giver you prices and what not....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Ladies,

I made it online today but for how long don't know.

Stacey how wonderful you have your little man at home. I so want to veiw all the pix but with my connection being almost zip I can't. Maybe when I get down to Doug's this evening I will get on his laptop and see if I can veiw them.

Jaye please take care of yourslef.

I have been wanting to post pix of one of my Brugs that bloomed. It never did last year becasue first grasshoppers then spdier mites attacked it, then it snowed and froze so i thought I had lost them for good. When it started coming up I didn't want to jinx it by saying anything until it bloomed. I think it may be one of the cuttings that Jaye sent me when I was living in Marysville with that other guy (the jerk, lol) Will take cd with when I go to Doug's see if I can post it.

Ok now for some very exciting news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doug and I have set a wedding date, lol. I know I said I wanted to wait 3 or 4 years but I just can't. I really love this man with all my heart and he loves me too. He asked me again yesterday. So the date is going to be March 5th, 2011 at 5 p.m. at the Fantasy Inn in South Lake Tahoe. I had told Doug 5 was my lucky number and not knowing that yesterday was the 5th and that March 5th is 5 months away Doug said it was happening, lol I chose the Fantasy Inn because of a special package they offer. It won't be anything fancy, just small with best man and maid of honor, a few close friends and family. No reception just a nice dinner afterwards. And then Doug and I will spend our wedding night in the Princess Room at the Fantasy Inn. I already have my dress picked out, and tomorrow or Friday we are going shopping for our wedding rings ^_^. I am on cloud nine right now, lol. When I get to Doug's will come back here and post links to the sites of the chapel and my dress. And the link to Street Vibs.

Now on the sad note :( After tomorrow I won't be able to chat with you here. My subscription expires and my pay day in not until the 19th. But I can chat with you in the other building ^_^ I keep forgetting about that one. So ladies check in later (for most of you it will be late) but you will get to check them out in the morning.

I love you all so take care of YOU!!!!!

Cindy

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, so sorry your not feeling well! Get some vicks and rub it on your chest for the congestion! Maybe you need to call the Dr, for your swollen feet, it may be your meds doing something!

Crissy, can I get you to edit all the YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY's as they are making me scroll sideways to read the page!
Thanks a bunch!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Congratulations Cindy! I bet you are both on cloud 9??? I am so happy for you, about time you found someone to settle down with! Well, Don't know about settle down, you guys are always on the run, but you get my point!
Congrats!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

CONGRATULATIONS CINDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo I got married at Caesar's Hotel and Casino in Tahoe!!! I had about 40 people, maybe, it was wonderful!! If you can get wedding pictures with the lake behind you, there is nothing prettier, especially since I'm sure there will be snow on the ground.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Congrats, congrats, congratulations, Cindy!!!! Wow - 5 months away - yikers!!!!!!
You've really gotten everything in order, so quickly, too!
I know it will be a simple wedding (ours was, too - in a small church, and the ladies of the church made us a finger-food luncheon for free), and it was beautiful.
One small suggestion - check out the online wedding planners. They have some suggestions for traditions that are sweet. Did you know it was traditional for the bride to give their mom a kiss on the cheek as they were going up the aisle, and then to give her new MIL a kiss on the cheek to thank her for welcoming her into the family? Little traditions like that can be so sweet, and not cost Anything ^_^
I'll do a quick search for a planner for you, and post it. The one I got was printable so I could remind myself of certain stuff.
Edited to add the link:

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Susan, Thank you so much. But the package that I picked pretty much covers everything I need. Like I said it is going to be very simple, not a lot of fuss. My first wedding was a church wedding. HUGE!!! 6 bridesmaids all in different pastels, a huge reception (350 ppl). And tons of fuss along with headaches and tears and blah, blah blah, lol. My second one was a garden wedding, sweet and intimate, nice buffet put on by MIL (she was a chef for a well known resturant in Auburn) lots of tears shed that day cause I married my first love.

This one is going to be without a lot of FUSS!!!! So I really don't need a planner. And Doug is going to make our wedding cake. Him being a chef he has had lots of experience and has already begun designing it, lol. And I already have a photographer, a gal that I met thru the online biker club we belong to. So it is pretty much set except for reserving the chapel and we will do that this weekend.
