yes, we women have patience........ it's why we put up with Men!
Ever ask a man to do something that wasn't in his best, instant gratification, interest?
HA!
I remember waiting 3 weeks for one to fix a closet door, and I finally got fed up with it and fixed it myself - a little shortie of a 5' tall person, on a chair, reaching waaaaaaaaay up to fix the track at the top - I was NOT amused!
♥♥ Sweet Interruptions ♥♥ 201
Jay - about "insert here" I was TEASING, girl!! LOL
Hmmm... some need to have that sign "Insert Here" clarified!!
Good for you Susan!! This house is still WIP!!! Kel's always giving legitimate excuses, and I don't have the heart to push him :(
Crissy, I used to frequent here in the evenings... but rarely now as Kel takes over the pc. Thank God for FB.. he can now 'gossip with his buddies bearing the same interests!
Jaye that's pretty cool actually, You get the computer during the day and he gets it in the evenings. Shoot, if I'm on the computer and I get up for a glass of water or to go to the bathroom or something Dave will take the opportunity of the empty chair. I never say anything but my goodness, ask if I'm done with it.
hahahaha "gossip with his buddies", eh?
I know, Jaye - a WIP house is all I've ever lived in..... We lived in our place in Winnipeg for 7 years, then decided to move out. Because we were trying to sell it, Suddenly the roof had to be repaired and new loft bedroom had to be created....... I'd had to live in a 9'x7' bedroom (with a queen-sized bed!) for 6 1/2 years, before he got off his B*** and Did something. We got the bedroom I wanted, for 6 months................ siiiiiiiiiigh
Tiga looks so docile... my oldest would be trying to bite the finger that tease it!!
Susan, that's a pretty small space for years. It's a wonder you're not in an insane asylum!!!
For you, Marion...
from Debbie...
"Precious Marion, you are in my prayers. I only know too well what you are going thru. My prayers are with ya'll. "
Looking so regal there. Think Tiga needs a buddy, Crissy. Want one?
I can part with one!!
Noisemaker will be home anytime soon. Got baked catfish in the oven, some veges stewing and the rain will entertain us tonight!!
Supper sounds good, I will be there soon! Save me a piece please?
Jaye - who says I'm NOT? Some of the neighbours make me wonder......... and going to the church - is that considered an "outing"?? ROFL
Oh LK.. so so sorry!!! Your brudda Kel ate them all!! A man that's not too keen on fish.
Had them baked real easy. Just Creole seasoning, and butter :D
Got the fabrics just now, and I'm already in panic mode!!!
Never been in a sewing competition.. but if I won.. I will have to give Kel the choccies!!!!
Lord provided a release for you, eh Susan?? Lolol!!
Jaye that is so scary to hear of that man at your house ! my aunt had two men come and ask her if she wanted her tree's trimmed. She said no. They watched her house and found out when she was not home and robbed her. They took only gold jewlry.
Crissy big hugs
Stacey hooray Jonathon is eating and gaining weight. Hey sounds great you lost some too wow ! you go you BIG LOOSER ROFLLL
Marion if you can i recomend making Chinese secret. ITs called. Jook.Maybe your mom might be able to eat it ? , put jasmine rice in slow cooker. enough water to cover and simmer until porridge like.
Stacey this is also good for breast feeding moms and helps with milk production. ! try it.
Jook is a great rice porridge that helps keep your energy centered and brings your Ying and Yang back in connection with one.
i have been busy sorry to be MIA.
so tired
working a lot
Susan Oh congrats on the job offer and i am praying for a job to come your way soon.
Hi Judy ! sending hugs to you. (()))
i don't ever want to see another apple cider again as long as i live !!! ROFLLL
many many blessings to you all
sue
No offer, Sue, just called for an interview lol
And I am still "in the running" for a job I interviewed for on the 13th.
Sue, in fact, in Asian countries, it's an old time remedy to combat dehydration.
In our jook or 'choke' like my Cantonese mum would say.. we'll even add salted eggs.
Kel loves Chinese chicken rice porridge with lots of ginger, cooked in chicken broth, and of course the salted eggs on the side. Plenty of salt to get you going! I sometimes would garnish the bowl with strips of egg omelette and chopped onion tops. You got me hungry for porridge tomorrow, Sue.
See you all in the morning... body's tired.. mind's wandering towards the bedroom...
Susan-the job at the hospital might be neat and get you experience in other areas to grow your resume;)
Crissy-That pic of Tiga and the screen is so cute!! Jade would just rub her face against the hand like you would be able to pet her through it;)
Tante-ewww-something form the sea-Bleck;)

Yesterday was an emotional day. I called the NICU in the am to see if Jonathan's feed schedule had been put back to the way it was or if it was still changed to later times. The nurse told me that he had some issues after we'd left the day B4 and they had to put the tube back in. They started doing every other feed by bottle and the interim feeds by the tube. When I got there, he didn't have a tube back in and when I asked why, she said she took it out so it wouldn't upset me. I didn't think much about it at the time. I fed him at noon and he took 40ml (in about 10mins) of his 50 and I am pretty sure he would have taken more, but he got the hiccups pretty badly and and feeding him through them usually causes breathing issues, so I stopped. He is up in weight to 6lbs, 7.5oz. Then he slept until 2 when he cried a little-changed his diaper and it was poopy, so that explained the crying. He was already rooting for a feeding, but I tried to get him to go back to sleep. I left the room for about 15 mins and walked around hoping that not having anyone in his room would allow him to fall back to sleep. When I came back he was still awake and since it was bath day, I got everything ready and got him undressed. I had just gotten him all wet when the nurse came in and asked if I had put him in the tub yet. After I said no, she showed me how to set it all up and I took off his diaper and put him in the water-he screamed bloody murder!!LOL I tried to sit him down and he wanted to stand, then I tried to let him stand and he wanted to sit, and it went on like this-the nurse helped me clean him real quick so I could get him out of the water and once he was out and covered up, he was happier. Got him all lotioned up and redressed and the nurse wanted to put the tube back in in case he had feeding issues. I stood out in the hall and he cried the whole time. Now, he isn't a cried and it is usually not real loud and is just a couple of squeaks (as we call them). For the tube he was wailing louder than with the bath-my heart broke while stood in the hall and waited. Then I thought, having a tube inserted down your throat 2X in one day must HURT!! That stupid nurse took it out in the am so I wouldn't be upset, hence causing him more pain. When I went back in I said something to that affect and let her know his comfort was infinitely more important than mine, so if the tube should be left in, then leave the darn thing in! When I saw him, his face was almost purple from the crying, he had tears running down his face and his eyes were a little swollen. I picked him up and told him I was sorry and it would be OK in a couple mins-he calmed right away and did the thing where you try to stop sobbing and your breath hitches-that was my mommy moment of the day that melted my heart. He was so hungry by that point he took about 12 ml in about 1.5 mins and wasn't breathing like he should. I took the bottle out of his mouth and he rooted for about a min B4 he passed right out from exhaustion. My poor boy was pooped and his poor little face looked so bad from the crying. I think that from now on when I give him a bath, 1st off I am going to take the tub from here and see if he likes that any better and 2nd I will feed him 1/2 the bottle B4 and the other 1/2 after-his awake time is limited after bath time. I also think I am going to take the towels from here and the washcloths-they are softer.
I saw my boss from Michaels when I went to the grocery store afterwards and we chatted for a few mins. He said I looked good and wondered where the baby was. I showed him a pic from my phone and told him he was still in NICU for a little longer. I wanted to ask how I could look good when I had cried so much that day!!LOL
(((((((((((((((Stacey)))))))))))))))))
Your recall of what happened yesterday, and Jonathan feeling the pain, brought tears to my eyes.
I pray that his feeding motion improves and he'll not have that evil feeding tube much longer.
Hang in there.
Morning sistahs. I hope we'll get some relief from the rain here.
Last night there were reported floodings around this area.
Gonna be indoors again, sewing, cooking (been doing more of that lately) and mayhaps rearrange the pantry I was supposed to, last week!
Have a good day ^_^
Thanks for the hugs Tante-it broke my heart when I saw his little face after the tube, but the bath thing I was laughing through-all I could think was why was he so upset over some warm H2O. Maybe if I bring in his tub from here, he can sit up in it and be more comfortable...
Hi Ladies,
LOL able to get on again but don't know for how long. Anyhooo here is a pix of Doug and I at the Meet 'n' Greet for the online biker club we belong too. I will be going down to Doug's next week. We are going to start rearranging things in his house to make room for mine. Don't know who is happier me or him, lol.
I had to take my cousin to the ER Sunday. She dang near bled to death. She had startred her period in August and it hadn't stopped. They had to give her 4 units of blood. They examined her and found a bleeder in her female reproductive organs. She goes for a biopsy tomorrow. We will know more later. But the doctor had told her if she had waited one more day to come to hospital she would not be here today. OMG!! when I walked in her bedroom she was white as a sheet and so weak I had to pick her up out of bed and carry her to car. Thank God she is a little thing. Anyhow she is doing better now. Maybe after this when we tell her to get her behind to the doctor she will listen to us.
Stacey how do I post a link from picasaweb to here so you all can veiw pix of Street Vibs?
Cindy, looks like you had a lot of fun! You look very nice together!
Open the page for your picassa, then go to the top adddress bar and highlight it, then click copy, come back here, and click like your going to type, and click on paste. That should put the link here.
((((((((Stacey & Jonathan)))))))))) You both need a many hugs as we can manage. Poor wee tyke...... He finds comfort in your touch and voice, obviously - he knows you're a great mommy and adores you ^_^
Wow - he's certainly "birth weight" at over 7 lbs! good for him!!
I pray that he gets rid of that nasty, hurtful, tube and goes home with y'all soon!!
I see happiness all across Doug's and Cindy's faces! My.. the adventure continues.

I relayed to Marion all our concerns and prayers.
Talked to her this morning, this is the gist of what's been going on.
Her mum has been transferred from the rehab center to a hospital. She's in isolation right now, as her UTI culture results shows an "ESBL" infection, or in layman's terms... a superbug
Diarrhea in the meantime continue and they'll try to insert a 'poop tube' (Marion's words, not mine for the catheter). Priming her with extra potassium besides the heavy duty antibiotics. Her nutrition level is at a 10, which is way below the necessary 30.
She's still being fed and remain too weak to feed herself. So they'll try to introduce a feeding tube later today or tomorrow.
Unfortunately, being a diabetic, they have to be selective as to what they can feed her.
She asked me to let you all know that she appreciates all your thoughts and generous prayers.
Stacey, I told her of Jonathan's temporary setback. She hopes that you'll bring him home soon.
Thanks for the update Jaye, send her our love and prayers please?
Will do so, LK. I promise her that I'll continue calling so she won't be harrassed to get online, being she returns home late and moreover Sue's on dial up.
She knows that we all love her and worry over her. Of course I have to ask her whether she's eating well.
LK.. now which fabric I can't use for the appliquez? The gold background with gold outline of hollies or the gold background with green holly leaves?
This message was edited Sep 30, 2010 3:04 PM
The background you're supposed to use is the one that shows on the far left in the picture.- it looks like white fabric with green holly leaves, but it really has gold in it. The one on the far right is all gold & white - Do No Use that one for the back. I was confused too, Jaye.
btw Jaye - I saw that you called me, and I tried to call back (I'm home for the afternoon now), but your line is now busy LOL
I'm out this evening at Choir Practice, however. I'll try to call again, later.
LK - is it ok if we add some other colours/fabrics. too??
Absolutely, as along as you use one of the colors given for the top piece, and or applique. Say for example you want to use the red, and want to add blue, or silver, please feel free to add more color!
HI girls can I come cry here???
I am so depressed right now...not only is work somewhat depressing as things are not getting much better but this week DH called someone that had an ad for cutting down trees and hauling them off for free so he decided that all the big old pines that only had fluff at the top were going bye bye...well that is all find and dandy but now the land scape around the ones that were by the entrance of the driveway are now destroyed ( they were rotting anyway) and I have to dig through the dirt and find the bulbs I planted and my other plants that were there...all but one crepe myrtle and can't find any of the pompass grass along the front has been smashed and gone ....my nice one by my garden is almost up rooted not to mention they almost backed over my oriental pear tree my folks got me a year ago for Christmas and I found tonight that 2 of my rose bushes have branches broke off where they either pulled the trees by or drive too close.
My hopes of having fall tomatoes and peppers is gone as they have smashed the garden area..I can't get to where the sweet tators are planted it is covered by trees too.
Not to mention while at work this morning Dh calls me and says do I want to call the electric company as he doesn't know who to call as one of the guys backed into the guide wire on the power pole and the lines to the transformer to across the road broke so we had no power til they came and fixed it but they took all tree peoples info for the bill I guess. So luckily I can look things up on my cell and get the number and call to get ahold of oncor who maintains the lines to come fix it..........now I'm just praying they don't hit my black willow, persimmons, apple trees, the nice cedar and my small oleander along the easement road.
I shall start with giving you a giant armwrap.. like Sistah Judy would say.
((((((((((((((((((((Phyllis)))))))))))))))))))))))))
All I can say is.... count your blessings. You're not dealing with anything that can be fatal.. like death.
I'm sorry you won't be able to harvest any of the veges you've grown.
As for them and the pampass grass and whatever trees that got damage, they are only plants Phyllis. I know you put your heart and soul into them, but they are only plants, and can be replaced or recovered or even healed.
Now you may turn around and bill the incompetent workers who I'm sure carry insurance.
Just take a deep breath..... thank God it's nothing major... like backing up into your house!
(((((((((((((((((((((Phyllis))))))))))))))))))))))))
Aw Phyllis, so sorry to hear of all the damage. I know you worked hard to get your ard to where it is.
I agree with Jaye, send them a bill for all items lost and destroyed!
Sending big ((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))) your way!
I know they can all be replaced and the guy is paying for the electric line repair.
but the ad was for free removal and as far as DH is concerned it's all part of the process and his main thought is now he can get grass to grow where it wasn't because of the pine trees and needles.
just frustrating it's taken me 3 yrs to get things planted and growing and starting to look like more then just sticks and he is concerned about getting grass to grow
i m sorry i have been so busy and can't read all the post , i hope to get some time this weekend
bad day at work yesterday . :(
today is cider making day . uhg. i won't be doing this again LOLLL but it keep my mind off things and i need to be busy. would rather be in the garden !
prayers to you all who need them and special hugs to all of you
your always on my mind the lots of you all :)
good day and wonderful tomorrows
hugs
sue
Cindy-what I do to share (even though LK's method should work) is on the right hand side of your picassa web album (after you've uploaded them online) it says something like share this link and you click on it-a box appears and you hightlight that and copy and paste it...
Tante-tell Auntie M that I love and miss her and am sending her (((HUGS)))
Susan-he isn't at 7lbs yet-almost 6.5lbs though;)

Jonathan did great yesterday. He took 5 of his 8 feeds 100% by bottle with no issues and took about 1/2 of the other 3, they had to put the other 1/2 through the tube. He did have 1 alarm thought...so if he can keep this up and gradually up those other 3 feeds until they are whole ones, I think we will be in good shape. He also needs to not have any alarms. The alarms will sound if he stops breathing or his oxygen saturation in his blood goes down too far for more than 6seconds or if his heart rate drops suddenly. Those are issues that we do not want to bring home. If he has a feeding where he doesn't eat it all, that is something we can build up to at home-the alarm issues is not something we can work with at home really. It is just a maturity issue and a lot of babies in the 36-37 week age range seem to have something click so that these issues go away...we will just have to wait and see, but of course we are getting anxious especially since Chris still has to go for training and they are sending him to Minneapolis for a week, then Fargo for a week, then back to Minneapolis for another week and then to Indianapolis for the last week. With him going to colder places I don't want him driving in snowy weather and would feel better if he could start his training earlier rather than later.....I am having a slow down in my milk production so I am trying everything I know to get it to be more. I am ingesting more fluids, pumping longer and more often, and I stopped tacking my allergy meds-all things I read yesterday on the net to help....I don't understand what is going on and hope it corrects itself soon...
Morning everyone!
Sue, your working too hard, you need to slow down a bit! Don't over do it please?
Stacey, thanks for the update on your little buddy. Sounds like he is doing really good! Don't know what to tell you on the milk production. I could not breast feed weither of my boys. First one was allergic to my milk, and regular milk, so he was raised on soy milk, and my second one, who turns 29 today, was born with a cleft pallet. He was fed with a feeding tube for the first 6 weeks, till he had his first surgery. So I could not breast feed either one.
I wish you all the luck trying to figure that one out.
♫♪Happy Anniversary, Stacey & Chris♪♫
I'm feeling a little down.... just got a call from the company I really wanted the job from. It's been offered/accepted to/by someone else..... siiiiiiiiiigh
They're encouraging me to apply for other jobs with them (SAIT - technical college)
Sue, please, don't keep yourself so busy that you're gonna collapse one day.
Whatever your demons are.. take some breather.. meditate.. and focus on the beauty and blessings of what God gives you. Stay busy to enjoy yourself, but not because you have to.
I hope this is making sense.
(((((((((((((((Sue))))))))))))))))))))))))
Happy Anniversary, niece. Bummer that Chris had to be away this day, but I'm sure he'd be calling all day.. 'cause this time.. he also has a son :D
With all your research, you'd soon know how to get the milk flowing
freely.
LK, thanks for writing that one of your sons was allergic to your milk.
Think I had posted asking what the ancient women did when their milk wasn't good for their kids. 'Cos one of my younger siblings couldn't take my mother's milk. She was given soy based milk.
Susan..... I'm so sorry.. I'll lean down and give you a BIG hug! I know I shouldn't promise to cross my eyes.. can't do it anyway!!
We'll keep on thanking Him for that job He has in mind for you ;=)
Yayyy........... I've found a design for the appliquez LK. Didn't even use my EQ5!!! Do losers get a compensation prize??
Crissy.. how's the meeting???
Just finished bathing 2 kitties... Lola.... cooked...and now I'll be heading to the cutting table.
Got to start sewing for the Church's Fall Fair.
Ladies.. enjoy the weekend!

Thank you for the hug, Jaye - much appreciated.......
You are very very welcome, Susan.
