Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
--St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226)
Please say extra prayers for Marion's Mum. Thank you Sistahs.

♥♥ Sweet Interruptions ♥♥ 201
That's a picture of one of my younger sisters, Zi.. or short for Ruziah. Yep, the one with 4 kids and living in Nice, France. Seems I always talk about her, and I want you all to know how she looks like.
She's been calling me almost everyday..somehow sensing that I'm not quite okay lately.
I had wonderful dmails and emails to lift me up. And with sistahs like you all.. there's no way I'll be heading towards spiritual bankruptcy. You won't let me, right?
Anyway.... I need to give praises to the Lord for His protection.
Sunday morning, I didn't go to church as Kel had an OOT appointment.
Around 11 that morning, Hambone was barking his head off. From the kitchen window, I noticed a man walking into the yard.
He knocked at the door, and the knocks grew louder, as though he's trying to break down the house.
Arming myself with a wasp spray, I opened the door, and the scruffy man was shocked to see me home.
He then told me that someone had told him that our red truck was for sale.. to which I told him no.
He left immediately.. on foot.
Just a few seconds later, our neighbour drove down the dirt road and accosted him. I heard threats from our old neighbour made to that man, as to never come down our place again and called him a liar. It was loud!!
Well sistahs.. after I convinced my neighbour that I'm okay.. the old angel told me that the man is a druggie and probably looking for a home to rob or a car to steal.
Guess what.... yesterday... the 'druggie' was caught in town riding around a reported stolen vehicle.
God has been with me all the time.. ^_^
We went for the Sunday evening service and duly I give Him thanks for a wonderful caring neighbour too.

It is getting to the point, no one is safe even in thier opwn homes! Please be careful! We have a new gun in the house, so if anyone comes here, they will be very surprised! Yes, I keep them all loaded!
Hiya Laura/ Housse!!!
Hi Laura, glad you joined us.
Goodness.. we will be calling you the "Hottest Packing Mama in Del Rio" LK!!
Brief note. Mom back in hospital as she was slowly getting weaker and weaker from malnutrition and dehydration. Inspite of the feed (wouldn't eat solid foods) and the consumption of many liquids every day she still was going down hill.
Had endoscopy to make sure nothing had come loose after surgery or any obstuctions causing her not to be able to eat foods. Nothing found. Dealing with severe depression, extremely weaken stage from the UTI and discussing feeding tube. She continues to be very alert and responsive, discusses her situation with the doctors but to weak to move arms, legs etc.
Please say an extra prayer for us as we sure need all the help we can get during this time. Sue (sister) and I are running now on adreneline and exhaustion. No clue when I will be able to return home.
Bless you and your Mom, Marion.
I will say prayers for you and your family.
This is a very hard time for you, and I wish I could help........
((((((((((((((((((Marion & Sue)))))))))))))))))))))))
Kel and I will be saying heavy duty prayers for you and especially your Mum.
Only thing I can add to this is.. they keep her free of any pain.
Love you, Marion.
yes, some heavy duty prayers that she will continue to be alert, and not in pain.....
Before I go to bed..
Chris (Clancampbell), I pray your day went well for you. Treasure the wonderful memories you have of Glen.
Sue, you're not sick from imbibing too much apple cider, I hope!
I think I'm the first to predict that Cindy's heading for wedding vows with Doug!! Lolol. Oh well, we better get ready for an online bridal shower!!
Please don't forget the deadline to help out Sistah Joyce's Walk for Diabetes is Oct. 2nd.
We know times are tough.. but even a few dollars will mean so much to the research.

Copied & Pasted:
Jonathan did well on all of his feedings Monday night, but had a slight setback with his 9am feeding (yes they changed the times). He only took 22ml at that one and had some breathing issues. He didn't gain any weight, but he didn't loose any either. When we gave him his noon feeding though he did excellent. Took 40ml in 10mins, and then he burped right away. It then took us 6mins to get the bottle back in his mouth (little turd didn't want to put his tongue down)and he took another 12ml in about 5 mins-after that he was done. After the bad 9feeding the Dr left orders to reinsert the feeding tube if necessary-the nurse had left the notes in his room, so I was able to read them B4 she came in and was very upset. First of all we'd gotten our hopes up that he would be home this week and secondly, I didn't understand how he took all of his feedings for well over a day and then only has a problem when she feeds him-she was one we'd never had B4. I cried a lot and had a little chat with Little Buddy about the fact that he needs to breathe while he eats even if he takes breaks every few pulls to get some good breaths in and to be good for the nurse and take his bottle. I want him to be ready to come though and not have to take him back-that would kill me to think it was all over and have to go back to the visiting him in the hospital...I also took in my bottle yesterday and the ones I have (Dr. Browns) are renowned to allow minimal air in while feeding reducing gurd and colic issues so maybe those made it easier to eat as well. I am trying to prepare myself for the fact that I might go in today or tomorrow and his tube might be back in. We took in his car seat yesterday (he has to sit in it for 2hrs without any alarms) and his picture outfit so that when they do that if we are not there the nurse on duty can put it on him. Yesterday was really hard for me-did a lot of crying...oh well, not much I can do about the situation.
Oh Tink, sorry there are set backs, but thank God they are only minor ones! A lot of babies will get so engrossed in feeding they forget to breathe for a bit! Mine did it, I just gave the bottle a little pull, and they breath again. Are you going to breast feed, when you get him home!
((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))
LK-I am going to try, but if he doesn't want to do that, then I will continue to pump so he can get the goodies breast milk has-plus it is free;)
Stacey, maybe the unfamiliar sight and scent of the nurse, gave Jonathan some apprehension?
So sorry he might not be able to return as soon as you'd hope for. But the doctor did right, he wants to make sure Jonathan's eats right.
((((((((((((((((Hugs little Mama))))))))))))))))))
LK, I've already mailed out the pjs on Monday. Normally I'm on my toes when it comes to swaps.. just can't get things together lately!!!
Bad me :(
It's raining again today.. yay!! Will be able to do some sewing.
Have a good day everyone.
Marion, this is for you from Trisha:
"Please send Marion our love and let her know that they are all in our thoughts and prayers."
We are with you and your sister in spirits, Marion.
((((((((((Stacey))))))))))))) I think pulling the bottle out for him to breathe a bit is a good idea, and it IS possible the new nurse's handling may have felt strange to him. Not bad, just different..........
glad you can take some time and get sewing done, Jaye (vbg)

Ahh, sewing..making progress, lol all my chores are done (for most part) and I too, will sew today, still so much to do.
Ohhhh, sweet you got your jammies out, I am sure your buddy will be as cozy as could be.
Did you feel my vibes last night? You were heavy on my mind, so I lit a fire and got lost in the flames.
It was a fantastic evening, the slight of breeze, they sky cloaked in billowy clouds.
It was not a prayer fire, but I did send a few thoughts with the sparks.
OMG, Every morning, I offer birdie toast. Each time I say how yummy and Tasty it is...This morning being the same, LOL, Birdie heard the toaster pop and to my very delight, said Tasty, Tasty...Just too cute!

Twila, haven't seen you in ages, so glad you came into the room...Wow, you have been busy. Please don't overdo, I sure hope pains subside.
Stacey, Awe, sorry about the setbacks! Hopefully it's just this one time...Give him lots kisses for us.
Well...I've got to run, Wanted to come and Say hello, Hello Sistahs!!
Busy, busy day, got to work on 2nd Curious George. ( This one is done, but no pic yet)
Plus, it's a gorgeous day here, sun is shining bright and gentle breeze on the air, so think I'll sew outside!
See you all alter, enjoy what you are working on, lol
What are you working on??
Judy, that is awesome! Can't wait to see the finished project! I have been sewing also, on the row robin squares! We only have one month to get them finished... Where did the time go!
I know a fair bit about kittens and cats,too I've had many, many cats in our home - some strays, some litters of kittens (we kept some - one for 11 years b4 we had to "put him down"). We've had dogs as well (not for a number of years, but sometimes we've had 2 dogs and 3 cats at one time - nothing is sweeter than seeing a tiny kitten sleeping between the paws of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Or finding out that the bread of dog you have is a "chewer". Dobermans are very specific-person loyal too - we had one, and I made the mistake of showing how loyal she was to me, by playfully punching a neighbour's arm - she wouldn't take her eyes off him from that point onwards! We've had a border collies, and a standard poodle, too.
edited to say - I just had a visit from our Mobile Park's co-operative's vice president. He's concerned that I have a meeting, with other park residents, with an Alderman candidate tonight. His concern is that we aren't showing a united front, by having a meeting outside of the Co-Op Board. I'm just going to become a member of the Board, so didn't realize this. Well, I will become a member, and will mention the fact to the rest of those who are coming to the meeting. Here's hoping the candidate (if he's the right person for the job) will get elected and then will do for the Park what needs to be done. The Board wants us NOT to move, and for the City to pay for us to get an independent contractor to look at the infrastructure of the Park. The Park is only 40 years old, so there's no way it should have deteriorated to the point that they want to tear the Park down.

Sistah Judy, the smoke you sent on my behalf, had 'wafted' me off to dream land @ precisely 11 pm!!!! Thank you. Whatever angels/spirits you asked to assist me in my pshyche, sees the need that I get some sleep!
Did you applique' Curious George on to the background fabric? It looks embroidered on the edges as well. Good job Sistah.
How is Bre doing with her photography classes? Has she been adding more pics to her portfolio? Would be nice if you could post some pics of her black and white. Who knows, she might be the female Ansel Adam.
Tell Julia hello for me, and Kel says he's looking forward to see Jacob's name as an NFL football star. Hmmm.. going to be a hard choice if Jacob likes to cook too and want to be a pro chef!!
You sure don't want to be upsetting the whole committee, right Susan?
Yep, better to be upfront with them and tell them what your intentions are working alongside the alderman.
You all have been in limbo for so long.. hope for a solution that will benefit the park residents soon.
yesssssss. Now that I've had a wee chat with (Rudy) the Board VP, I will make sure to encourage residents to become members of the Board. The only way to get what we need/want is to show a united front, and not to be fragmented as individuals.
I told Rudy that I'm a "force to be reckoned with", cuz I'm a "Missouri Mule-type" and also have a bit of a bull-dog in me LOL.
Hmmm... I've been called a goat by my mum before.. don't think it's because of my stubborness!! Lol!!
Crissyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... THANK YOU.... and you know why!!!
Jayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee YOUR WELCOME!!! LOL I need some hugs and I have no idea why. I have a conference tomorrow and Friday so probably won't be on until Friday night or Saturday morning.
((((((((((((((((((((((((CRISSY)))))))))))))))))))))))) just because!
((((((((((((((((((((((((Crissy))))))))))))))))))))
you don't have to have a reason!
Gigantic HUGS for you Crissy.... and if you need more... I'll send all the kitties over!!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((CRISSY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Oh well.. since I'm giving away hugs....
((((((((((((((((((LK)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

(((((((((((((((((JUDY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
((((((((((((((((((((insert name here))))))))))))))))
I just got a call for an interview on Monday. Almost didn't take it, cuz it's for a Casual. However, she says it would be a job I'd go to every day, as a floater, and there's a possibility of being hired on permanently.
It's at the Children's Hospital, and I hear it's a wonderful place to work.
Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.........
Is "insert name here" one of our newest members? I haven't met that Sistah or Bruddah......
You really ought to introduce us!!
AAAAAWWWWWWW I'm feeling the love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Everyone!!!!
OK, I hope I'm not offending anyone but I find what Dave posted on Facebook absolutely hilarious.
"Do not get upset when it takes us men awhile to respond on facebook, it is still a growing fad designed originally for gossipers but has grown to so much more. I believe its popularity will jump during the holidays."
His best friend Greg said, "Everyone should know you need patience when dealing with men."
Dave responded, "Christine and I were discussing why men do not bond with the use of facebook as much as women and it is a patience thing. Men want instant gratification and women are use to it taking longer."
Instant gratification=Losing interest immediately...or ADD!!!!
Yep..thank goodness, us women can 'fantasize' while we wait.. and wait.. LOL!!
On a serious note, strange thing, is Kel interacts on FB much more than me.
Susan, that 'insert name here' is for anyone that needs it.
I'll say.. go for that job Susan.. you never know...
LOL Jaye he DOES lose interest immediately! Yes we do!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL Dave interacts when he has nothing better to do and that's it. Maybe once a day.
