Coffee Break # 45 - Hello October

South Hamilton, MA

I think that they make plates. Expensive but tiny little letters on street signs make them hard to read, not saying Mr. Beeper who leans on the horn when you slow down.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

But they're changing TO smaller letters!

Thats not what I understood when I heard it. but then again I am having a bad day!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Talk about a priceless photo! This is the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup. You can see Tiger is praying for strength - and not for his golf game!

ROFLOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They're talking about possibly upgrading the charges to include hate crime, which it certainly qualifies for. The girl is now turning on the guy.

ROTFL at that pic

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wait - it gets better! The prayers could not help! Look where he's looking here!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I doubt the other guy has Tiger's history.

Thomaston, CT

Don't know why he was chosen for the Ryder Cup....his game has gone downhill.....

They only had 1 day to get pics up for the free subscription. voting is ready now!

South Hamilton, MA

Men push 'boobs' which gets girls worrying about it. Shame to the guys.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Some push, some pull. ^_^

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can not believe it's noon already!!!

Not the job for me.....scary height. My son & DIL were here today, & from what I described went on the net & found what they feel is wrong with my TV....power surge during the storm knocked out the capacitator...sounds like Back to the Future....anyway, son was going to Radio Shack to buy part & install it tomorrow.....I love being related to techies.....however, if that's not the problem, I'll call someone!

Shut off that video after the first 20 seconds...if the heavens had meant for us to be that high, we would all be born with our own Harrier Jump-Jets.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Chicken!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I'm feeling a bit dizzy!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

As an electrical engineer, I always had incredible respect for linemen. Dangerous work at any location, it's multiplied by 100 at those heights.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Wow that is tall!!!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

too chicken to look

East Bridgewater, MA

My BFF was a 1st class electrical lineman for over 2 decades (now in managment), and he would be out in blizzards at 3am, 30 feet in the air in a bucket truck, handling wires carrying 13,000 volts LIVE.

Despite safety equipment, accidents do happen.

In 1993, Maine had a horrific ice storm that had so many widespread outages, crews were brought in from other New England states. While he was up there with Mass. crews, a nearby New Hampshire crew lineman had a large, ice-laden branch suddenly crack and fall right on top of him.

That New Hampshire lineman was paralyzed from the neck down.

Dangerous job, for sure.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's horrible. I've seen films of high voltage burn victims. Not nice.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

You have to love what you do to do that.
I think the fishing industry holds the title for most dangerous.

Especially for the fish!

And unintended dolphins, sharks, etc.

I remember taxi drivers being very high on the Danger List. (Shot during robberies.)

or clerks at the local stop-n-rob
