I'm having a hard time not crying, can you imagine how he felt?
Coffee Break # 45 - Hello October
And now his family.
Some of today's young people have no conception of privacy. They think they can put anything on the web/
This is beyond that. This is common decency.
How very sad for that boy's family....
Ugh, how horrible! What rotten , rotten human beings those two are.....I hope they get the max sentence and like Victor I'd like to see those charges up graded!!!
But they are not impressed with decency--their impulses are the most important.
Nothing is sacred anymore.
I remember a saying when I was a teenager,"If your mother wouldnt approve!! Don't do it"
There is a failure in the system somewhere.
that is an understatement for me Sherrie
Yes - it all starts at home.
Childern are very aware and sensetive of their perents emotional temps.
They want parent approval. Its easy to let them know when you arent happy with the behavior, a smack now and then wont hurt.
Confuseus said " Spank your child every day. If you dont know what its for , they will"
A smack on the butt with your hand will hurt feelings more than the butt, & they'll get the message....I don't believe in hurting kids, but I do believe in discipline, & today's parents who just talk are wasting their breath. My parents never hit me, but they threatened, & that was enough for me....same with school....our principal had a strap...we knew it....the threat was enough for most of us, but for a few out-of-control boys, once was enough.
My fifth grade teacher was strict. She would make the offender stay after school .She had a coffee can full of marbles and would throw them on the floor, we had to pick them all up.
Really bad offenders had to lay their hands on the desk and she would rap the knuckles with a ruler.
She and her friend shared a house on the next street.
Holloween wasnt fun for her.
heehee
Judging by the names of the two individuals who did this, it looks like they come from two countries known for intolerance. Don't know if they were born here or not.
Mine was of English decent, this was the 40's.Teachers demanded and commanded respect. Many were truely wonderful at pivotal points in my life.
My sixth grade teacher trusted me to babysit her child. That gave me a sense of real worth.
No whacking in school, staying afterwards could be used because we walked to school, no busses.
Detension in high school. My dad could hit harder with 2 fingers than Mom could with a hairbrush. Both got attention as Mom was a mild mannered person & the 'finger' whack was used very seldom.
The intial set up of a web cam shows how intolerant the person is. That is a spectacular invasion of privacy.
Iris! Is the webcam statement in ref. to the freshman who jumped off the GW bridge?
I hope the two at fault actually serve some time and get counceling.
right as to the reference. At their age, I doubt a change in attitude--it's ingrained in there.
A spanking will not kill your kids
and I agreee that it's def how they were raised
Mamma always told me to spank their hands when they are little and you will only have to speak when they are grown. For the most part....she was right.
Oh yeah, you need to start when they start getting into things they are not supposed to.
Now I pretty much just have to say "do you need a spanking?" and they usually straighten right up
My DD Tiffany will ask Oryanna...."Are you making a good choice? or a bad choice?" thats all Ory needs to rethink her actions. If she continues, then she gets her hand or bottom spanked, depending on the crime. ^_^
My grandkids are usually obedient....HayHay is a worrywart...Anni, though, tries to lie her way out of everything, & with a cheerful face....I worry about that one!

Where do you find the # of posts per forum? They don't have that on the newsletter anymore, I miss it.
The daily newsletter, under extras.
thanks
I was spanked alot (I was bad alot). I give EMoo credit for my buns of steel.
I'm assuming all the toys recalled are from China???
Congress skipped out without addressing much, but they did find time to tackle a pressing problem for the country - loud commercials!!
I'm sure they were probably all from China but the trike is def the fault of whoever designed it
Yeah that is a REAL important problem, UGH
They recovered that kid's body from the Hudson.
Were getting new street signs! Yay!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/8035062/New-York-to-change-street-signs-for-27-million.html
Another waste of money.
WOW $110 per sign!!!!!!!!!!
You're not including all the payoffs and kickbacks, Jen.
