of course the vet said to talk it over with Paul - they don't want you to make a snap decision without thinking it over......... It's a terrible decision to make.
I remember when I had to put a cat of mine (Smokey) down (the mother to the cat we have now..... Baby), we got a card in the mail from the vet, giving us kind words of comfort.
It was really appreciated. I know that vets don't want to see animals suffer, nor do they want to see a companion put down when they know how difficult it is....
only 4 years old? o my...... doubly difficult to put down such a young and vibrant pup......

Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!
Izzy is a beautiful animal
I think the Vet didn't want to deal with an emotional woman.....DH has long ago told me if it is over a certain amount, we just can't do it.
I was following DH's instructions.
I totally understand, Debbie.
When I made my decision about Smokey, it was going to be very expensive, too. They were talking about sending a "sample" to another province, and doing a series of tests, etc. They said there was no guarantee that the tests would show anything, either. Sometimes you have to make the tough decision re: your finances......
(((((((((((((Debbie))))))))))))) I really "feel" for you.....
Debbie I'm crying with you and giving you big big big hugs. You need to get that first picture put in a frame, if you haven't done so already.
Sucks how finances always come into play, but I have the same rules with Tiga. She must have had a weak knee to begin with.
Those are such beautiful photo's Debbie, what time does Paul get home? know you are crying, just feel so badly for you..
Had a bit of good news but it can wait! Doesn't seem important now after all the sadness you are going through...
Betty, Paul got home about 5:15. We are going to take the weekend and think about it....see how she does on the meds. However, if she starts showing any signs of significant distress....we can call the vet.
Paul is just as upset as I am....but we have to be realistic. Reality sucks.
Bev, I remember meeting Blue....very sweet baby. He was in the kennel behind the house I believe.
((((Debbie))))) Thinking and praying for you all there...
Thanks Lil Injun....every penny helps toward finding a cure. Give my Julia and Anthony big hugs (or armwraps!) for me!!!! Love you!
Party tomorrow and dead tonight.....so I guess I'll be hustling in the morning! Should only be 74 as opposed to 94 today! Think I'm smart to wait, don't you?
Debbie, miracles happen, let's hope the meds work.
Bev, do remember meeting Blue..your constant companion..only downfall with having furries..heartbreaking to say the least!
Had quite a day, house is quiet, I've a class tomorrow so might call it a night.
Prayers for all who need them.
Awe Deb! I am so so sorry... Is there anything the kids can do to help? A Fundraiser or garage sale or something?
I'm so glad you didn't make the decision right then. You've been through so much lately...
I feel I've made bad decisions all week... just nerves ...
Sorry Susan - I can't seem to keep anything straight in my head....
News: A Single Mom was shot and killed in her home at 5am today....and her 9 year old daughter shot in the back 5 times as she tried to run away. The daughter called 911 and is in the hospital...the grandmother flying in from out of state. This all happened a block from my office and a block from the Police Station downtown.
Hugs,
Mary
Judy, I hate to tell you this..but rows have a date...November 1st..
big hugs (((((((((((((((((((((Debbie)))))))))))))))))))))) is there maybe a "cheaper "clininc, any where near by??? when out cat got hurt, our regular vet would have charged $ 300.00 for his surgery, we were told of a "clinic" it was further away, but only cost $150, which included shots he needed, and getting "fixed"...and that was not included at the vet.
or what about "care credit" like a credit card, you have to apply and then make monthly payments, usually with no interest if you pay off in 1 year...should be available at the vets office....good at some regular doctors, some dentists offices, and some vets....I had to get one to get my dental work done.
My heart goes out to you
Mary - how terrible for the family of that Mom & daughter, and what a terrible thing for the daughter to witness........
about the "Sorry Susan - I can't seem to keep anything straight in my head..." thing - don't worry - it just means you're part of the CRS generation - ALL OF US lol
Debbie my heart goes out to you and your family. How very sad. My prayers will be with you.
Susan-DH said he looks "normal now" while I think it just looks painful and weird.
Judy-Can't wait to see your kitchen and how awesome about Jake!!
Awww Debbie-I am so sorry to hear that!! The pics however are adorable-love the one with your son-the kitty looks just as comfy as the doggie does:)
Copied and pasted:
Apparently Jonathan's circumcision hurt me worse than it did him-but it looks really painful:( I was laughing yest-the nurse said she changed him for his 8am feeding and he shot poop about 3 feet onto the wall!!LOL I told her better her than me!!:) Then we were all laughing because his poops are stinkier than normal and have been form the start. I didn't know of course never having a child and never being around babies-she of course doesn't know why that is, but I sent my mom a text message and told her her grandson was the Pigpen (the stinky kid in Charlie Brown with the blankie and cloud of dirt) of the NICU:) He took about 1/2 his bottle for the 11 and 2 feedings-the nurse said it was normal after a circumcision for him to be a little pooped. He also gained another 2.5oz and is now at 6lbs, 3oz!! He is already growing like a little weed and a little too fast for Momma:( If he continues to grow at this rate, he won't be my little guy long enough.....My mom will be here on the 6th and my poor DH (who turns 37 today!!) found out that for training he will leave either the 11th or the 18th (which is my Bday) and go to Minneapolis for a week, then Fargo for a week, then back to Minneapolis for a week and the Indianapolis for a week:( I am starting to worry about the weather for him and hope he leaves on the 11th-maybe he can miss most of the bad weather then...I don't need to worry about that too with everything I will have going on at the time...
Betty started a new thread for us!!!

Hi
Debbie, I am so so sorry for what has happen to Izzy. My goodness, I feel so bad for you all. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.
send (((((((giant Arm wraps)))))))))))).
Oh, Oh...Thunder, I am in big big trouble!! LOL, sure glad I made mention, so will be speeding up the program. It's a good thing that working under extreme deadlines is one of my better qualities(at work and at home) lol obviously I need due dates! ROFLOL, ok taking deep breath, This will be ok...
Waiving Hi to you...
Linda Kay so glad you got the rental for running errands and your belts are fixed.
Will get a picture of Curious George this aft...Almost finished adhering him to the base. LOL, sewed until 12:30 last night.
Once thats done I can embroider his features.
Betty, Anthony said Awwwe Thank you for the hug. He really needed on too. He's having a rather difficult time at work...Since he has been Supervisor, was going very well until last Wednesday. Someone Stole his clip board!! They hid it and it finally re-appeared on one of the conveyor belts on Monday...Now the poor guy is catching some of the ramifications from that.
Wow, We are home this weekend, Went to Jakes Game yesterday, Took the new Bike, a Road King. It's awsome, but I won't go on long rides until we get a back brace. So DH and his buddy went for a ride today! So much for anything getting done here, lol. But I originally woke at 5:30 as usual and forced my self to go back to sleep. Must have needed it because, I just woke up!
It's a might chilly today! But the sun is out and am raring to go...Oh by the way, My tiller is Fixed!! Just have to finish blanket and make the trade...or maybe Aaron will be sweet and just bring me the tiller.
OK, off to Sew, see you in a bit.
Hope you all have a good Day.
Coffee's on!
