Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

it depends on the movie. We've gotten up to 16 come.
Thing is..... it's for everyone in the city to come, but it's usually the 4th Friday. This month, because they're prepping for a dinner the next day, it has to be the 3rd Friday. They're advertising it on a "sandwich board" outside, this morning - not earlier. So, I hope people will notice that it's tonight..............
The movie is free, cheap refreshments, and a "good will offering" so you can enjoy a movie like this for very, very little...... heck, even the popcorn is only 50cents....

Victoria Harbour, ON

well that's the place to be..went to a movie awhile back, June wanted to see something and didn't want to go alone so i went with her, she wouldn't let me pay for the entrance so i said I'd get popcorn and pop..omg, couldn't believe how much it was..well over $20.00 if I remember correctly

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Yikes...... for entrance we pay $5.00 at our local theatre (each), and the 2 pops & large popcorn is $7.50 total... so we pay $12.50 for both of us!! This is one of those multi-plex theatres, and they show the newest ones. We recently went to see "The Last Airbender" and it was fantastic.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not here, it was well over $20.00

I remember they asked if I wanted butter on popcorn and I said yes, was charged for it as well, not even included in the price

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yikes - charged for butter!! We aren't charged extra, and they don't even charge GST on anything....

Victoria Harbour, ON

sitting trying to come up with a project that a group can do for Christmas, as always have to allow for size of shipping box..making it primitive..etc...have any of you seen the 'Waiting for Snow' project..

It's a snowman's head, feet, hands which are all on dowels..with a sign that says 'waiting for snow'...or if you live in a climate that has snow you can put it in a snowbank and the snowman looks as though he's laying down???? one idea

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'll have to call the theatre just for fun and tell them I'm giving kids $$$ and want to give them enough..how much is their popcorn and pop

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I know that in Winnipeg we had "cheap theatres" and then you have the regular $$ ones... I never go to the regular $$ ones...... I's a "Cheapie" LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

We don't have a choice....I'd rather wait till they come out on video or on Rogers Cable..I enjoy watching at my leisure..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

movies come out rather quickly though. A new release will be on DVD in November - Looking For Eric sounds good. We'll have to watch it at our November movie night.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hmmm don't remember seeing that one advertised...

Stopped at Bernie's on my way home, he's building a garage but said he'd come tomorrow morning to see what supplies are needed for my projects, at least if I have the materials needed he can start whenever he has time.

Now I'm home and still chilled to the bone although it's a perfect day out there, boy is it a fall day..did my walkaround in the garden, not much in the way of flowers but leaves are all turning..so a warm bath, jammies, get my Christmas material out and plan my next Christmas blocks that need to be done NOW..oooh lagged behind on this month, get it done so I can mail out on Monday.

LindaKay, if you haven't left yet did you get your envelope with sunflower material?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Betty and Crissy-LOL on both the name thing and the messy ladies house;) Betty-do you have a pic of that project??

It is expensive here for movies too-$12 a person for tickets after 5, $7.50 for matinees and then like about $12 for a large pop and popcorn that DH and I usually share.

Loved 'The Bucket List'....watched 'Marley and Me' last night and cried BUCKETS!! Cute movie, but sad ending....

He is out of the incubator and maintaining his body temp well so far. They will probably up his calories today or tomorrow and he is up to 5lbs 10.25oz, so he is gaining a little weight. Chris enjoyed his time with him last night, but won't get to see him tonight and will have to wait until tomorrow evening. He is a pooper though and it takes me too long to get him cleaned up so he is usually upset at me during diaper changes. SIL helped me to sort the baby stuff in the living room so it no longer looks like toys R us exploded in my living room

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Stacey "looks like Toys R Us exploded in my living room." That's a great comment for a visual!

That's about the cost of a movie down here too, except the pop and soda comes out a little higher than $12 I think.

Well I've got to get in the shower and take Tiga to the dr, it's shot time, that means she'll be lethargic for the next 2 to 3 days. I hate that.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

I took Stacey to the hospital yesterday and had a lovely visit with our boy. I sat and held him for quite a while and he just sleep so serene. Makes the funniest faces all the time but like Stacey says, he poops a lot. He will be home before we all know it.

I think Chris would just as soon be a stay at home Dad now that the baby is here although I know he loves his job. He misses seeing Jonathan as much as he did when he was off. Then he will have to go back to Minneapolis for the 4 wk training sometime. That is really going to be hard with a new baby at home waiting.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Well, I finally am going to the Dr about my burned hand. Enuff people have looked at it, and they all say the same thing - it's too deep and painful NOT to go...
The other night I woke up in pain with it at 3am, and couldn't get back to sleep until 5am.
Yesterday a pharmacist had me tape my 2 fingers together so it wouldn't move and split. It feels a lot better. It's amazing how much better my hand feels now, when I can't move it. I have trouble typing, but I just take my time.
The pharmacist also said Do Not put peroxide on the burn, because it only eats up the new skin that's building. It looks impressive, like it's killing the bacteria, but it's NOT.
He just put some antibiotic cream on it and then had me tape them together.........

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning and afternoon..

Drats, not sure what John and Rose had to do to connect the wireless but ever since I've had difficulty accessing my internet..got to get Jeff here and get me operational...

Colds are going around in my nect of the woods so last night my not being able to warm up and bit of a sore throad kept me on the chesterfield most of the evening..about 9:30 Cathy and her mom dropped in for a visit and didn't leave until about 10:30..always enjoy their visits...

Rose worked downstairs on her school project, I went to bed and not sure what time she called it a night but must have been last because she only got up about 15 minutes ago when Timbrr knocked at the door with my wood delivery..

Bernie was here at 8am, did all the measurements, marked down what I needed, have to do a few structural changes to accommodate the door and side panels, did the ordering and I'm quite surprised they've already delivered..oops someone at the door...

Yikes, an hour has passed, my cousin's son just dropped in, had been trying to find my number to tell me my friend Maria (his aunt) passed away and will be buried tomorrow...glad he was able to reach me..had a lovely visit with Steve and his son Cole who is 14..caught up on all their family..some sad news about my Aunt Hazel as well..tell you about it later..

Now it's off and running as I'm going to Orillia to hear Danie's boys play in a band at the waterside...big festival..they are doing a tribute to the Beattles..Danie should be here shortly, she's bought 44 t-shirts for us to wear with the bands name..lol best I keep it in good condition you never know, they might be famous one day..I have to be home and dressed by 7pm for the 40th. Anniversary party, Bernie, mom/Jim and Mike will meet me here and we'll go over to the Legion together; Tomorrow it's a birthday for Arianna (she's turning 2 - having a brunch) then the funeral at 1:00pm. lordy there goes this weekend..

Did though get 2 of my Christmas quilt blocks done and the 3rd I'll finish in the morning so I can get them mailed off to Barb..I'm behind by a week or so!

Susan, am glad you are finally getting that burn looked after, I'm sure the Dr.will be giving you the what for..how did the movies go?

Stacey and Janice, bet you can't wait to get Jonathan home..how wonderful that he's gaining and picking up strength, am sure that takes away some of the worry! A little fighter he is..poor Chris, can't imagine him leaving and working away, am sure with internet and being able to send photo's so easily, he'll get to see the changes daily and won't be long and he'll be home. lol at the pooping, yep, babies are famous for that..

Crissy what are you up to today?

Debbie, you off your little corner of the floor today, the cry did you good, sporting a big smile?

Bev/Scotty and Tubby, all ok in your part of the world...

Got to run, if I've missed saying 'hi' I'll be back later tonight..

Enjoy your day..

Verona, ON

Lovely fall weekend here. The village has a sombre air about though - a young man from the village was killed Wed night while duck hunting on Wolfe ilsand. He was a wonderful lad, very thoughtful and a super husband and father. He leaves behind 3 children under the age of 6. Our hearts go out to the whole family they are very large in numbers but close knit.
Started the LR today - whoa it is in bad shape. Did all the drawers on 1 side of the kitchen counters and island yesterday. This is my Spring cleaning Betty, the last 2 springs I was too ill to even care about what the house looked like. DH was good about tidying up and vaccuming but his idea of clean and mine are entirely different.Feels good to have the energy to even want to tackle the tasks.
Jonathan must be growing like a bad weed....... I can hardlly wait for you to be able to bring him home Stacey. I am sure you and Chris are counting the seconds until he is there with you.
Hear the timer for the oven so the peanut cookies must be ready.
Susan I am so glad you are going to see a doc about your burn.
Are you going to the demolition derby Crissy?
Hope LK is having a good time this weekend.
See Betty you didn't end up with nothing to do this weekend - I can't even imagine that you could.lol

Dianne

Just got back from Orillia - would say the Beattle festival went well..the boys did a great job...Dannie handed us t-shirts with band name and their photo on the back, had a beautiful 9x10 photo for me, asked the boys for the autograph and lordy the 2 older boys signed right through their younger brother's face..told them I'd be their manager in the autograph department and would teach them where to sign..came home with a 2nd photo..even Rose ended up with a t-shirt and an invitation to join us old gals for the Meaford Craft Show in 2 weeks..would say her life is going downhill quickly when she's starting to hang out with us seniors..well not quite, Darlene and Dannie are under 50..lol

Should have gone closer for a better photo of the boys playing..just took a photo of their promo photo for you to see how adorable they are ( 12-14-15) lordy can they play-guitar/keyboard...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dianne, prayers for the family of the young lad..how very tragic!

How wonderful that you are feeling well enough to tackle spring cleaning, just don't overdo..

We no sooner finished the boys Beattle set that it started to pour and poured all the way home.

Stopped to get a few groceries and Melanie my DIL was in shopping, she's down with cold and said she was going to bed as soon as groceries were put away.

I no sooner got home, got a call from mom, she was at the Orillia Walmart, locked her keys in the vehicle, was waiting for CAA to come open the van, she was to have come here to the anniversary party but she said Jim conveniently left his dress clothes at home and that she was quite tired and doubted she'd come after all...sure think she could hear in my voice the disappointment..after all Muriel is her only sister...I spoke for a few minutes and just the old 'ah yes, hmmm'. Just knew there would be a reason why she or they wouldn't come.

The event is from 7 to midnight, thinking of getting dressed, going over for all of maybe 10 minutes and then head home!

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie was it you who asked me recently how Aunt Muriel was doing? Here she is with her 2 grandsons...

by the way, mom arrived here at 7pm..said I sounded not happy so she thought she'd better come..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

The Dr did not "give me what-for" about not seeing a Dr. earlier cuz I told her I didn't because I hate the wait in the office (waited 1 1/2 hours today, to get Into the office, then another 15 min before she came in......) I'm NOT good about waiting in the waiting room......
Anyway, she figures there won't be much, if any, scarring. She thought the pharmacist was pretty smart to have me tape my 2 fingers together to lessen the stretching/pain.... yes, it Does feel better for that.
She had me cover it with Polysporin, and take some antibiotics for 1 week. Apparently it's infected. I told her, she should have seen it before, when my hand was almost 3x the size, with the swelling...... Now I only have about 2" of swelling around the burn. It still looks like a 6-pointed star, though LOL

Lyndonville, NY

Well, I forgot to "watch" the thread, so just spent two days of catch up reading. Grrrr!

Betty, I may have asked awhile ago. Those grandsons are huge! I expected some boys Kyles age. lol Nice looking men.

I am so honored that you are making me a chicken mat! Seriously, that means so very much to me, that you would take the time and do that.

Susan, so glad you finally went to the doctors. That burn sounds so painful, and an infection on top of it. Stay out of the dishwater!

Judy! Woman! I love that kitchen, colors are PEFECT! I know when you get your personal belongings up and about it will be perfect touches. It looks so welcoming....and like a family kitchen for fun.

Stacy, your little man...is so adorable. I can almost smell the baby lotion and ahhhh...hear that little cry. I don't want to imagine the diapers though. Did that X 4. lol I know you and Chris are looking forward to having him home. Rest while you can.

I feel like I have been in a tornado the last few days, and today was a day straight from h#LL. Its all minor in the grand scheme of things, but my heart hurts. When I regroup, I will fill you in.

Waving to Mary, Crissy, Bev, Dianne, TUBBY (show yourself), and everyone.....

Ok, off to bed....waiting for Shane to get home from work, then going to try and sleep.

This part of the night crew is signing off.

Debbie

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello TO All -

Debbie - I know this is a very stressful time... Can't believe all I went through last year.. Hugs and prayers to you..... Keep us posted.

I've read everything and keeping up. Just nothing new in my world. Got the new Iphone.. all my co workers are excited I turned in my old rotary dial phone. (Okay that's an exaggeration)

DH comes home from Colorado with a Auctioneer's Graduation certificate. LMK if you need to have an auction... I"ll send him over...

Kids have been strangely okay during his absence. Hm. They are growing up?

Hugs to all
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Debbie - funny you should mention the dishwater. - I'm just about to do the dishes! I have been keeping away from them for the past few days, and it's getting pretty bad.

I'll clean the burn and put ointment on when I'm done. Try not to stretch the fingers too much.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

hooo boy - I did the dishes left handed.... cuz I couldn't bring myself to put my right in the dishwater...... did the best I could, but it sure wasn't "dishwasher clean"!!
Well, my DH then proceeded to help me bandage my hand, cuz I can't do it one/left-handed..... When the surgical tape wasn't holding the way he wanted, he used ..... wait for it....... duct tape, cuz it sticks better, and we have a lot of it LOL LOL LOL
So my hand looks silver & white (white for the bandage, and silver duct tape for the tape around it...... my palm too!! LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Duct tape, lol..omg Susan you are creative! Let he healing begin...can't understand why doctors don't regulate their appt. schedule better, waiting for 1 1/2 hrs. is terrible..I once asked a few people in the waiting room what time their appt. was for..ok..how can you have 3 people scheduled for same time..guess it's done but just not right!

Congratulations Mary on Dh's graduating from Auctioneer School..is he excited, will it mean more work for him? Maybe he spoke with them before leaving or could we hope it's because they are growing up (finally) lol...

Debbie, picked colors from you kitchen photo, just hope it matches..do you still have your kitchen done 'country' and with chickies? Sorry you had a bad day yesterday, let's hope today will be a sunshine day...hard when you do so much for everyone then have your heart broken..how's Paul's eye?

Had such a busy day yesterday and today is much the same, still have to go hunting for a Arianna's present, then visits, include a viewing at funeral home and that about does today. would have been cheaper and more of a rest crossing the border.

So here I am up at 5:30 making a 3rd. christmas quilt block..yikes should be done by 10a.m. and have them ready for posting tomorrow morning.

Best I get moving, much to accomplish
Gab a little later

Victoria Harbour, ON

Time for coffee and feeling sad, Bernie (who if he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all) just called to tell me that he wouldn't be coming today re back deck enclosure, said he got awoken at 2:30 this morning, one of Charlene's horses broke pasture, car hit it and left, another car behind it saw the accident and got them up, Bernie called police, they came, poor horse was trying to get up to make it home, Bernie had the policeman shoot it, the officer wanted to wait for a team to come with shotgun but Bernie said the horse was suffering too much so could he please use hand gun.. Bernie got neighbors over with equipment to lift him, said he's in the backyard waiting to be burried this morning..Charlene who brought the horse into this life is very distraught.

Police called this morning to say that the man who hit the horse called in, said he had panicked and left the scene, police went over to take his notes, now who knows if the driver was actually he and he didn't leave because he'd been drinking; anyway police officer told Bernie to expect a call from the man's insurance company wanting him to pay for damages.

Terrible situation, Charlene is like many of us with our furries, they horse was her baby...

Verona, ON

Oh Betty I am so sorry for your DB and DSIL and the poor horse. Charlene will be devasted I am sure. Very glad there was no physical injuries to anyone even if he did leave the scene. At least he owned up to the accident but my thoughts are the same as yours. In my township if any of your animals get out and are caught or hit or whatever you as the owner are liable for a big fine and the fine is applied to each animal that got out. One year before this came into effect and I still had beef cattle all 20 of my cows and 25 of the neighbouring farmer got out and started to waltz into Verona. Heavens I would have had to take out a loan to pay that fine!!! A wonderful neighbour farther down the road helped me get them all back home and in - it was so hot that summer that the swamp had dried up and the cows could just walk over the fence.
Meant to say it was great your friends got their set in before it rained. My goodness Rose is a serious looking young lady - or at least that pic caught her as one. Does this mean you are now offically a groupie Betty?
Mary bet you are glad to have DH home. For almost 8 years my DH worked in Toronto from M -F and I stayed here at the farm.He came home weekends if I didn't have a show somewhere else and was home all of July and August. I even went through the horrid Ice Storm in 87 (I think that was the year) with no hydro for over a week while DH was warm and dry in his condo in Toronto. It seemed like it was 20 years he had to do that - sure missed having him close by to help make decisions or give advice. How are the plans for the Anniversary Party coming along?
Day start out better for you Debbie? Sure hope so.
Going to do the NYTimes Crossword Puzzle maybe that will make me sleepy - I have been up for hours.BBL
Dianne

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty, I'm so sad to hear of Bernie and Charlene's horse. It was so unexpected and sudden. I'm confused by your post as to who is responsible for this? Is someone going to sue Bernie for damages? Good Lord help us....
I spent the day yesterday at my LQS sewing for Quilts of Valor. The fabric used on the one I was doing was very busy. By the end of 8 hours the fabrics were dancing and I had to stop... I'll finish this one for them here at home where I can take a break now and then and walk away from it. Need to have it back by next weekend.
Today is a relax day with Norm as it's his one day off this week. We are going for a long ride to a quilt shop I've heard good things about. I guess it's about 60 miles away and we're doing lunch out too. We need this time to ourselves. We both get wound up with grands, and work and quilting so we decided we are going to take these days for us... Sounds selfish a bit and maybe it is but it's good for us.

Sending prayers for you Debbie that your heart may smile.

Dianne, did you overdo with the cleaning? Sometimes when I'm over tired I can't sleep! What a bad cycle to get in.

Susan, take good care of that hand - infection can cause so many problems..... I love the vivsual of the duct tape!!!!

Mary - glad hubby will be home soon. And if he starts bidding for dinner I'd stop cooking!!!!! When I got through laughing of course...

Stacey and Janice - I'm glad you get to spend some time together. I'm amazed at Jonathan's growth and I'm sure he will be home soon...

Crissy, Judy, Tubby and all - waving a big Hi to you and wishing for good days.....

Off to get dressed to start my day. Hope it's a good one for you......

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Susan, you just made me feel better about Dave, he's the one who told me when I got a bad burn one time to put Neosporin and band aid on it (it wasn't as big as yours) and I did and it worked, now since you said that the pharmacist said the same thing I know that Dave knows what he's talking about! LOL

I bet Jonathan is growing like a weed, so sad for Chris that he'll have to leave for 4 weeks for training sometime, he's not going to want to go now. What an awesome father!

We DID go to the demolition derby! We had a blast and wanted to go again yesterday (Sat) evening but it was almost 100* and the arena where they have it is half way closed in with no fans, and we don't even have a slight breeze. It was hot Friday night in there and we knew that Saturday night was going to be worse because it was hotter Saturday, 100*, so we opted out from going last night. I didn't feel good yesterday anyway, had the shakes and I think it's from my steroid inhaler.

Took Tiga to the dr for her physical and shots and got a different vet than the one I'm used to, I hate it when that happens because they come in not knowing the history of the animal. She did alright though, other than being afraid of Tiga at first, LOL!!!!, told her that Tiga's sweet and worse case scenario she'll just run back into her carrier, she said that's how she's gotten bit before ggrrrr if your that afraid of the animals you shouldn't be in that line of work! Anyway, got Tiga some food that's designed for Irritable Bowl Syndrome, and now she's all lethargic from the shots :-( She'll be alright though, she's down to 8lbs and I'm not happy with that, she has always weighed 10lbs but I'm not sure what to do about it.

Well I'm going to go out and do some gardening before we get up to 100* again. This heat is getting on my last nerve and it hasn't rained in 2 weeks again.

Betty I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing, glad they were able to reach you, and Charlene's horse!! That's horrible, I bet he was drunk and left the scene. Here in AR that's considered hit and run and because he left, even though he turned himself in later, he wouldn't get anything, and he would have a hit and run on his driving record. Be careful, Dannie isn't much older than myself. I'm trying to figure out what nationality Rose is, she looks Japanese to me. I would love to talk to her about culture, love that stuff. She's a very nice looking lady.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Barb the guy who hit the horse, his insurance should be calling Bernie's insurance to collect damages because the owner of the animal is responsible for keeping the animal. Unfortunately sometimes that doesn't always work, a big animal is a big animal and will do what animals do. Here the guy wouldn't have a case because he fled the scene to begin with.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, yes...my house is still country decorated...and the kitchen has the yellow, red and chickens abound! There are chickens throughout the house actually...here and there.

My son isn't actually (for once) causing the problems.

We had to make some family decisions, and well, it was very hard.

Yesterday DH & DS took two of our adult cats, and the two little girl kittens, to the shelter. I was not having much luck finding them homes, and the big shelter in Rochester is awesome. Two of our adult cats really needed to be "only cats" in a quieter home. My heart hurts so much without them, I miss them terribly. Toby was my best bud....my shadow. And Rory...she was the clown in the family. I hope they find their forever homes that are right for them.

So sorry to hear of the horse accident. Those are some of the hardest. We had a similar situation here with an Amish family, their horse got out and was hit by a car. SO very sad.

Today is Michaels birthday (DD's BF who lives here since May) and we are trying to celebrate for him. Hard to when you feel hit by a truck.

Will be back later. I am trying to get some things accomplished and stay busy....its not working to well, I seem to be making a bigger mess!

Debbie

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All ;

Betty - That is so sad. It seems wrong for the guy who ran off to collect anything but I suppose that's how it goes...

Susan - so glad your hand is healing. Make DH do those dishes ! LOL

Barb - LOL! I wonder if DH will be tired or if he will demonstrate his new skill... He bought a DVD of the final sale. Everyone auctioned off something proceeds to St. Jude. Of Course DH brought a Saints football jersey. He said it went for $50 ! (Bought it for $30). A Relax Day sounds good !

Dianne - I couldn't imagine going that long without DH... And here I was a single Mom for a long time... but with the 3 kids it was always harder however this go around has been easy easy. Teens all driving around to their jobs and not even here for the most part. If they will all wake up / get home (DD sleepover) I'll take them to breakfast to celebrate last day but they are all still in bed.

Awe Deb ! I'm trying to think of what I could say to comfort you! You take care of SO many... I'm sure there are some wonderful forever homes for the kitties.
I subscribe to our local organization on FB and they are having a LOT of success getting animals from animal control and finding homes for them. They actually had to cancel the last Adoption day because all were adopted ! So there are a LOT of homes out there :)

Remember what they say on the plane about the oxygen masks. You put the mask on YOURSELF FIRST> meaning... you've GOT to take care of Debbie FIRST so she can take on the care of the others... (((HUGS)))

Well - DD1 just got home and headed to work. There goes the bfast idea LOL

Hugs,
Mary

Verona, ON

You could take me to breakfasat Mary!lol

Baton Rouge, LA

Oooooooohhhhh Cracker Barrell!

Thank you Mary, so much!

Baton Rouge, LA

YAY Debbie & Dianne ! We're all headed to Cracker Barrell ! I'm havin an omelet and hash browns... what are ya'll having!

Who else is coming with us ???

(thanks for the pretend breakfast....couldn't get my crew together so egg sandwichin' it)

LOL,
Mary

Baton Rouge, LA

Anniversary Party - Hey Dianne Thanks for asking !

We've booked the location, ended up around $1800 - 6 food selections, cash bar, china/plates/champagne toast, and free drinks (soda, tea, punch, coffee). It's not the prettiest place we found but it is nice and it's VERY close to MIL and FIL house... so they can relax and have FUN and FIL can stumble home. LOL!

I bought invite templates, stamps and labels. Waiting on BIL to get me the rest of the names and I can get invites out.... and I have about 65 slides on a slide show including trivia and 1960 fun facts. LOL.

Bummer - thought I had a Cajun/Rock band for $450 but they couldn't do that date. So we may just end up with CD's for music.

Lyndonville, NY

Mary, an idea for the Anniversary. Pick their brain as to their favorite songs, go through the "books" and look for favorite songs of the 50's.....and make them a CD as a gift. You can play the songs at the party...and then they have to CD to remember the fun and dancing. We actually did this for our class reunion.....it is rather cheap, and fun!

Ummm...can I get Uncle Hershels breakfast....with grits?
