Awe, Stacey, New Moms have every right to be self centered! You just went through major surgery, please don't push yourself too hard, you DO need to heal up. I know you hated to leave Baby Jonathan, but at least you will know when he does come home he will be good and Healthy...not to mention you have a little extra time to get what you need...Loved all the pictures..

Waiving Hi to everyone, got to get caught up.

It's been very busy here...And Boohoo, nobody likes my Sunny Yellow kitchen! Well, When I went to Menards, it was originally to just drop stuff off for DH. He then told me to go shopping and buy the paint. Well, I didn't have my little color swatch. Plus it was a different kind of paint...So searched there wall sample and re-chose my yellow! Oohhh, thought Sunny Yellow would be nice and bright, right! Well, ROFLOL, one definitely has to wear sunglasses, So seeing how it's rather blinding everyone asked it I could add some eggshell white (it's what we have) to it down some. hmmm question is how much? Then it better be enough...

Mary, So cute Belle like playing with ice, Aren't little pups just adorable to watch? Well, it's already Wednesday, DH will be home in no time!

OK...Off to look at my paint and ponder how much of the white I should put in! Steve suggested as much as i already used! But my gosh what if its too much and I don't like it! ROFLOL, while Debbie has a McDonalds Kitchen, Mine Screams Big Bird! And now i have the Sesame Street theme stuck in my head!

Morning..talk about crazy..

Telephone rings, it's mom, boo hoo and boo hoo some more, she's upset about not going to Buffalo this weekend, lordy is that my fault..went on to tell me how it's her birthday, hasn't been well and how much she was looking forward to it..I said 'come on mom, you called me on Monday and cancelled because of Darlene and Tim's anniversary party remember, so I made plans'..then she says 'we weren't going to go to the anniversary party' hello, are you losing it I wanted to say!' she said it was personal and she'd tell me about it another time...shaking my head here, so I went on to say that I had made arrangement with the boys to go to Wonderland and it would have to be another weekend...meanwhile I get an e-mail from the trailer guy saying:

'Hi I think I spoke with you today on the phone.
I was thinking if you decide to purchase the trailer I will deliver it for you so you don't have to do two trips.
As I said earlier the level height of the trailer tongue is 12", you would only require a light duty hitch to pull this trailer with your car.'

All while this was going on I was gabbing with Sharon, who went on to tell me my $$$ would be better spent if I would set it aside to go to Europe with her in spring of 2012... that I should consider how many times I would use it to what it cost for motels/hotels...lordy, I want one and don't care if the blasted thing sits in my yard till the end of my days or the kids use it...both mom/Sharon are big time spenders, don't think I've once told they there was something they shouldn't have....

No sooner finish with Sharon mom calls back ' could you call the motel and book it for 3 in a room + a dog' hello, just came from saying I've already made plans....then she went on again and said Jim was telling her I'd best really check on things re this mini-camper because my car is not meant to pull anything..spoke with dealership yesterday I told her and they'd put the hitch on AND said that the 290 lbs. of trailer would do nothing..just like having 2 people in the back seat..

Can you tell me why everyone first thinks I've nothing better to do with my time off that they I'm to dance to their tune, and, I left my home with Bill at the farm with less than $30.00 in my pocket, no car, no furniture and no place to live and within a month I'd bought a house, from paycheck to paycheck and a lot of energy I've made it into a cute home, still a work in progress, a new car, entertain myself so why do some think I've poor judgement when deciding where my $$$ go...drats I'm wound up tighter than a spring!!!!!

So now that I've said that, what to heck do I do????

Sounds as though you've much to send to the quilters...I'm just plugging along with my projects; for all who think Christmas is far away, got a surprise for you, just around the corner but I've been telling you all that since Dec. 26th now haven't I???

Judy, I painted back bedroom yellow and it was big bird yellow as well, too bright a color for me as well so decided to add white..not the thing to do, it tones down the color but you use the pigment in it and it becomes a sappy dull yellow..do you think once everything is back on the walls and you've added touches of co-ordinating color that once the shock is over you and family might love it...

Christmas workshop..you know I'm almost certain that I was mailing boxes out mid October last year now wasn't I???? Wasn't sure anybody wanted to do it again this year...it would be what our 3rd. Annual DG Christmas workshop??? how many of you didn't get them done...Crissy, put your hand up! LOL big time!!!

Judy, give it a few days.....let it dry really well. AND when you get all your accents in there....and stuff back up. It will look much better than you think. I had the same issue....and now I really like it. AND come winter time....you will appreciate the sunny yellow even more! Can we get pictures?

I think I am going to sit in the middle of the floor and cry.

Pauls car is dead again....he has mine. DD's dentist visit turned out to be an ordeal with several more appts. needed....and a surgery to remove FOUR severely impacted wisdom teeth! With her health issues...she may have to be hospitalized for it. Grrrr! DS got in some trouble at school for not doing homework, and already had detention....and with new "rules" if it happens and not followed through....the parents and kid has to go to court in front of the Family Judge to answer WHY! I so do not need this!

THEN, of all things....Betty, I can't meet on the 16th. We have BIG plans that weekend. Grrrrr!!

Just so much going on, my head is swimming.

Love the painting and crafts your friends are doing. I am so sorry to hear of George's passing....he was a talented man! I remember you speaking so kindly of him before with his "harem" of women.

Thanks for kind thoughts..yep George was certainly a sweetheart, loved by all of us...Darlene call me this morning from the house and said that all they were doing is looking over at George's spot and miss his antics.. I always thought Tubby and George were much the same even though I've not met Tubby..woman's man, could spill a yarn, had everyone laughing, an angel..did I say angel???

Oh Betty, she is really tugging at your string today. First she calls to cancel, then say what time are we leaving? I would go cross the border by myself, just to spite her!
Betty, I painted my project last year. Did I not post a picture! I gave it to my Granddaughter for Christmas, I will have to see if I can find the picture and post it! Can't wait to see what you have planned.

Regardless what I do I'll be letting someone down..

Have the micro heater on in the office and just can't seem to get warm!

Betty that little camper looks like a jem. Knew they had campers for motorcycles but didn't know they were that cute. Used one sounds like a good deal but I know you or someone should see it to make sure it is in good condition. Sit down and make a list of pros and cons, take it out in the garden and sit by yourself and see if that doesn't help you make up your mind.

As far as your mother is concerned...you make up your mind what YOU want to do. Would you rather go to Buffalo this weekend or later? Would you rather go with the kids to Wonderland or to Buffalo? Decide what is the thing YOU want to do most and then do it. Don't let your mother have that power over you (and you know that is what this is..a power trip). Even if you need to change your plans for the weekend, if it is truly something you want to do you will feel better about it.

Now I will back off and get out of my "mother" role and tell you that whatever you decide on both counts will be the right thing for you.

Hello Janice, you visiting with that new grandson of yours...lordy Jonathan is a little angel..can understand why Stacey and Chris are a bit down in the dumps but I'm sure another couple of weeks and they'll be flying high..do you get to go into the room to see him?? guess they may still be concerned re infection...

LOL, guilt trips are special, do you think we all do same? am sure my kids would answer 'yes'..

I'm terrible, looked at weather conditions and calling for rain Saturday so that would leave Sunday for Canada's wonderland; was thinking ok....could I do both? not likely so most likely will stick to spending at least Sunday with the boys..

who knows, just maybe I can come up with our workshop and get most of the kits mailed out on October 16? lol never say die right?

Betty, can I say one thing? Grandmothers should NOT let the grandchildren down after a promise. Your Mom will have to put on her big girl pants. I mean....I want to see you very very much....but we adults should understand a promise to a child

Just called Greg and Jeff, both are checking hockey schedules to see exactly when and if the boys can make it...so now I wait to either confirm it's a go or I'll be crossing the USA border ater 6pm Friday along with a step father, mother and dog..imagine that!!!

Should put all the options I have on a piece of paper and pick one out..maybe that's how life should be...

Make sure the dog has all the documentations needed for that crossing pr you will really get held up.

Betty I don't blame you for being wound up, all of that would make me so mad, I'm glad you told your mom that she was the reason you all aren't going to Buffalo in the first place. She's being very selfish and not even taking in regard of the kids feelings, for Pete's sake.

Keep the plans with the kids, it's easier to do that than have to explain to the kids why your canceling, besides, you don't need to explain anything to your mom, she's just trying to control you to get what she wants and has no regard for your time and plans. My mom has tried that with me way way in the past when I was maybe 18, I told her exactly how I felt and what was really going on with my time and plans. She hasn't done that since.

And also Betty, how you spend your $$ is your business, no one else's, get what you want and do what you want and go where you want to, your an adult and can make your own decisions.

Boy Debbie you're getting hit from both sides! Hang in there, with all the prayers that are up there for you He'll hear them. If you feel like sitting and bawling in the meantime, you just do that, seems I would already be doing it.

I think I'm starting menopause, I keep having this massive hot flashes, been sweating all day and it's only 72* in my office.

Debbie, would they keep Rocky until our return to Canada do you think..lol
