Well, if my prediction is right, little Jonathan was born 10 minutes ago...... anyone hear?

LOL How much we bettin'? My time isn't for another 3 hours, 10 minutes.

Marion's birthday is tomorrow so I'm going to stick to my original time of 6:35pm Central Time but now I'm hoping that he waits until 11:01pm Central, that would be 12:01am Eastern and he would be born on her birthday!

Just checking in..it's 6:28 my time so you can check it against the posting time which is 1 hr. difference..you are correct Debbie, you and I are in same time zone, think Barb is 1 hour earlier than we so that would make it 7:28 pm her time...sooo confusing, wish DG time posting was the actual posting time...

Prayers are with Stacey, as Janice said, Jonathon is the one who is in charge...let's hope he has developed enough to be healthy, all we ask ..

Everything went as planned this afternoon, well nearly..got off at 1pm - went to wool shop and got a few more skeins of wool to finish an afghan for Mike and Ann for Christmas...yep, Christmas, are are not tire of hearing me say that? Came home and Cathy was here resting on the chesterfield...chuckled to myself, you never know who will be in my house and when...had 2 hrs. to fill in before picking up Rose so chatted with Cathy while trying to figure out if all the swap boxes I'm sending could fit in one of them, nada, might be able to take one of the boxes apart and try and fit it in but I'll check the $$ value to send as is..Cathy's mom dropped in so another visit..ok, rushing around to get to Municipality on time, dropped Rose off at the bus stop, went to the window place, got out of the car, hmm where's my purse, ok, left it outside when I put Sailor in..had about $450 in my wallet, wasn't happy about that..checked all the screens and decided to buy but told the guy 'no money' he's putting them aside to me and it's another trip in tomorrow...Cathy had come for the ride so borrowed $20.00 from her and bought us each Kentucky Fried chicken..no sooner got home before we even ate that she said her head felt like it was splitting and she was dizzy and weak..had her sit, wanted to drive her home but she had her bike and said she'd be ok...off she went, so now I really should do something instead of thinking of an early night but not up to it..don't want to miss the birth either...guess nothing I can do to help other than pray so off I go, bath & p.j.'s for me

Yes, Bev said they thought she was bleeding internally somewhere, she has a thread on the Prayer forum, I'm going to go look after dinner.

Actually I was just checking in at 6:37 to see if there was any news about a baby, but of course if he's born say right now we probably won't know about it until much later, but whoever posts will post the time of birth, along with length and weight.

Dave's grilling steak and it's ready!!

I crossed with Bev and got so excited that her count is good and Tubby's ok and the steak was ready all at the same time.....

Up early this morning, drats, spent all night at Disney World, lordy I couldn't believe it, almost relived all the rides, what fun I had...hated to wake up...lol

Susan, sorry I missed you call, as I walked up stairs after my last post last night I realized that with Cathy not well and leaving so quickly that she left her Kentucky Fried Chicken dinner on the counter so I decided to drive it over to her, he was laying down but her dad/mom kept me to gab..as always I never seen to check messages, saw the light blinking this morning!

Must run into town and pay for the screening first thing this morning, might even be a few garage sales to stop at..lol

Just having coffee and Laura came to mind, she was having such a hard time of it, wish she'd also post to let us know how she's doing..

Jonathan was born at 8:54pm (hope I got that right) and is healthy.. Stacey will post when once she gets some rest...

Did a fall wreath for the back flower shed, I know, who will see it but me but still wanted to do it..lol..

Working on a project that I need for next weekend, nope, can't give a hint or the individual will know..one good thing about getting up early is that you've plenty of time do get some crafting done before any of the stores open..

So who came close to the delivery time?

HE HAS ARRIVED! Jonathan Gabriel Combest came into the world at 8:54 pm, on Saturday, September 10. He is 5 lbs. 8 oz. and breathing on his own. As per usual, once the doctors had agreed that he should make his entrance HE decided that maybe he was just as happy were he was, so Stacey had to have a C-section. Dad says he has dark hair, chubby cheeks and looks just like his Mom.

They have asked to have today to recuperated before showing Jonathan off to the world so I wont be going to Toledo until tomorrow. I don’t know how long Stacey will be in the hospital but cards can be sent to her home; her address is in the exchange.

How wonderful for them. Sounds like a miscount of months somewhere. I'm so happy to hear he is healthy.... Please give my warmest wishes to them. And check your dmail!!!

He will be in NICU for a couple weeks until he can eat from a nipple,be it bottle or natural. C-section was a little scarry, but all is good-a litle sore is all.

Debbie, omg you almost got me into trouble, went to pay for the 10 screens that will be used to close in the back deck and Kevin who owns the store asked me if I'd be willing to take 4 little kitties home to nurture them until they are well enough to be given away..I went and looked at them and almost did but you know, one had infection in the eyes, other was sneezing and the other two looked as though they wouldn't be around for long...they went and got a surrogate mom kitty but she fed the 2 that came with her and not the 2 that needed feeding..came so close but thought if they were ill I might endanger me 2...so I felt bad, thought to myself, now Debbie would have done this!!! guess my heart isn't as big as yours.

Spoke with Greg this morning, he was on the golf course with the boys so said he couldn't meet me to pick up the screens nor the windows but would either do so tomorrow morning or Monday after work.

Dropped in to some friends and spent an hour chatting, drats, Bob is quite the character, while Barb and I spoke, he asked questions and had the vcr tape rolling..lol, goodness knows what he'll do with it!

Then off to Tmbrr Mart, bought a screen door and handle workings, one of those victorian type styles for the back deck, did groceries and now I'm home and it's just turned noon.

I've a call into Bernie, am hoping he'll drop over tomorrow and take measurements and decide what other supplies I need to order to work on 3 projects for me, install windows, enclose back deck and make a computer/phone room..know he's working about 1/2 hr. from here up at his sons but hoping he can find time to come and make sure I'm on the right track with what I want to do..

Now I'll organize somewhat my craft tables, see what projects need doing right now while keeping an eye on the stew I'm making..

Mary wish you were close to me, you wouldn't be bored, have a zillion things we could be doing..

OOOOHH Stacey, look at Jonathan, poor little tyke, what an experience he's just had..his hands are big and look at the curly dark hair, he's just too adorable, looks like you Stacey at least right now he does...and now you sweetie, are you overwhelmed seeing him, knowing he's all yours and Chris's?will take you time to heal but omg what joy you must be feeling, bet you've almost forgotten the pain...now you've time to paint and decorate the nursery...

Don't overdo...amazing, your waiting time is all over...bet it was a surprise..when will Chris have to leave? wouldn't you know it birth happening just when he should be out of town..

Will they let you spend the days with Jonathan?

I'm just too gabby, remember I'm gabby when I'm tired or excited and I'm not tired..lol

YES Betty...I would have taken the kitties! A little peroxide on a cotton ball wiping around eyes....would clear the eyes. Some KMR kitty milk would nourish their tummies....with some Fancy Feast kitten food, mixed in with some warm water, or if a bit older Purina Kitten chow softened with water. BUT...its a hard job! Very hard on the heart too. So you did right leaving them.

Thanks Barb, said my prayers as I got up this morning in memory of those who lost their lives and for the families left behind. The tragedy will never be forgotten..we lost a few of our Canadians as well, so memorial services also going on for them..

Heard on the news on my way home from town that a bus accident near Toronto had occurred and that lives also have been lost...

We celebrate the coming of new life and remember those who have lost their lives all in same day...


Susan, I know, time I go purchase a regular telephone..usually I'm in the basement when you call doing painting/sewing and use the hand receiver down here, think it's time for a new battery, most likely just as cheap to buy a new set..must go look for a regular telephone for when you call...lol..
