I had a house full all week-end, and when they left this afternoon I layed down for a nap. My back is hurting also, and don't know why!

I didn't mean I was sick all week... the virus went from DS(Tues) to me (wed) to DD(Thur) to DH (Fri)... if we'd have gone to visit my family.. we'd have had to leave Fri...and DH too sick.... SO... no visit... but I'm okay with it... I mean the Lord just didn't mean for us to go out of town... I suppose

Judy - that blanket and pillow are beautiful ! I think it's fantastic that you were able to get your garden tilled for another one ! Great idea ! Glad you got it all done for your shower... I know you worked hard on it!

I must admit... it was rather nice not really having any plans this weekend!

Betty - When do we get to see a picture of Rose? I suppose that would be weird moving in a place and the lady of the house wants a pic right away LOL......So...she has a LOT of stuff? I take that as a good thing... if she packed really light... would wonder if she'd take off with the family silver one night... LOL

AH DEB! Your "First" day of "Firsts" ! Is this your last Senior ? I sure wish I had a clue last year... DS almost had NO cap, gown OR invitations... seems like I was always scrambling ...never knowing what I"m suppose to do... or order....

Just DH & I at house tonight... it was so peaceful and nice. DS/DD at work, DD2 at a party.... we did yardwork all weekend. DH cooked dinner for us... nice. Enjoyed Belle all weekend as well. She is Such a HOOT !

Yes Mary, My last Senior....and my only boy. We spent all day Sunday school shopping from clothes to supplies. I just can't get over how much he has grown, trying to find 34 length jeans is not that easy!

I have decided men just don't "get it" with Moms and kids going off to school, being seniors. Its just another day for them. They have no idea all that is ahead this year. lol

Sure wish we would hear from our Tubby and Shirley.....sending prayers.

Betty, I hope your new border is settled and you two are doing well.

I am off to bed....back on my 6:30 routine. Ugh.

They "DONT" get it at all... I think if I didn't leave the camera out and tell DH to take a pic of the girls the first day of school... we wouldn't have a pic at all... and that's HIS KIDS ! LOL!
It's harder on us Gals... the saying "Goodbye" of things where we were needed and wanted... like new uniforms/clothes and the first day of school... etc....

OMG Mary, how you've read my mind, Rose called when she got to the driveway to let me know they had arrived, I was sewing downstairs so grabbed my camera and up I went, wanted a photo of her moving in then thought the same, lordy she'll think I'm so weird, so set the camera down..maybe tonight I'll ask if she minds..

We had a lovely evening, we gabbed till my bedtime, she says she's usually up till midnight, showed her where everything was and said 'make yourself a home'..

This morning it's a bit different, I'm usually gabbing to the furries but this morning thought I'd better stay quiet..I've been cutting blocks for a rag quilt for the past hour, that's a 'no noise' type of activity.

Off now for coffee, sweep the floors and organize what I'll take to work to play with today..

So Betty how did your first night of having your lodger go? She does know you are not providing meals doesn't she? I truly hope this will turn out to be a positive experience for you both. Knowing what I know of you so far you will turn it into a positive - this young lady has no idea how lucky she is to have stumbled upon you. It is sort of 1 of those meant to be situations.
Crissy how are you feeling now? Did you get to rest up on the weekend?
Stormy appreciated all of your Birthday wishes. He sure doesn't look 10 and certainly doesn't act like he is either. No Betty Stormy's cake did not come from DQ, it came directly from my oven. The closest DQ to us is just over 45 min away and that is just getting there.Probably the distance is a good thing for me though! I love DQ.
The material some of you are using is wonderful. The blanket and pillow Judy are fantastic, what a lovely gift.
OK off for my am walk between the rain drops. It has rained off and on since Friday. I feel so bad for those who planned to camp this weekend. Susan did you get rain? I thought about you many times over the weekend as the wind gusted and rain fell. Hopefully the weather we had did not hover over you.

Barb and Dianne-I am feeling fine now-I told the little guy to back it down since Daddy will be gone til Oct 4th he has to stay in there until then. Plus I still have cleaning to do, the nursery isn't ready and I don't have a bag packed yet, so he can't come out yet. Hopefully we now have an understanding. Any time after the 4th though and I am good with that:)

Barb, I still have all three kittens. Word is out they are looking for a home. I forgot how much work it is having babies in the house. These little guys are climbers already. Very loving though

Stacey, glad to hear he is staying put for awhile! Sadly they do what they want anyway whether we are ready for their arrival or not. Each one of my kids was different delivery.

No, I had back pains on the right side, for about a month now, so I have been taking it really easy, and all of a sudden my left side is starting to hurt. Guess I need to call my chiropractor, and make an appointment.

Here I is...omg, forgot what teens are like, Rose is 19.. said she wanted to be at work around 8a.m. even though I told her the municipal office doesn't open until 8:30am. so got to ask, lol, how does one do that WHEN you don't get up until 7:45a.m. .. she said that she wasn't used to going to bed so early..11:00 p.m...cute! Did manage to take a picture just as I was leaving, said just like a mom sending her children off to school I needed a photo sending her off to work on her first day..

It definately will be a learning experience, one thing that will be most difficult for me is TIDY bedroom, I'm so used to it being set up, looking pretty, no mess, nothing out of place..maybe I'll have to ask her to keep the door closed so I don't see..bed was made though this morning, that's a plus, but then I saw she brought her own pillows and blankie, layed on top covers so bed stayed made...lol

Know I have to bend and change my way of living as well..made her comfy though, did cook last night, lots of left-overs for tonight, even set out breakfast..don't want to spoil her but don't want her to starve either..

Odd isn't it that I was standing outside and she stopped just to ask where there might be a room for let..and me, just saying I want to put $$$ away for that new trailer...oooh, dad gave me my first month rent cheque, I'll match it..Suzanne is going to be my trailer banker, so I'm on a mission..there was one site that says you can give a deposit and price stays same and will be delivered on date requested, think I should do it???

First, Thank you Stacey, Debbie, Mary and Dianne...Barb, you have no idea how big I am smiling!! Thank you and Betty for the advise on pricing. LOL, if I ever sell anything, will keep your systems in mind.

Oh my gosh, Tiller was almost running, Aron came by and took top off, oiled it and blew out carberator...pulled the string and she tried and tried to go. He said she DOES have life. Then He let her rest and tried once more, Almost had her going, woohooo, I was just jumping up and down cheering her on, Coommeonn baby! LOL...Well, in the end she did not start, so he is going to take her home and fiddle around.
Awe, he was so cute, said how sorry he was he couldn't fire her up right then and there...Told him not to be sad because everyone said the same and gave up...But I have complete confidence he will get her going.

Betty, wow! How exciting your new "roomie" has moved in, and how fun she enjoys sketching and crafts, LOL I just hope she can keep up with you...My gosh your bag is Beautiful, love the colors!

This Morning I wish I had my camera with me, Bear sprang into my thoughts. On the way back from Dropping off the Kids, what did I see? An entire family of deer, Mom leading the way with 4 young ones following in a single line...When we moved to this house, I had to return to work, Bear was our Nanny...She called me, whispering into the phone all excited, asking me to guess what was in the backyard
I said dunno, what?!? She said, There's a DEER in the yard checking out Jake's rocking horse. LOL, she was giddy with delight, and hearing the roar of her laughter all the way to Evanston, Had me giggling at the prospect of seeing them when I got home...

Anyway today, Normally, I don't do much but watch Movies, but you know, since Carol went to the Spirit World, I have not had the true heart, as i once did to work in my gardens. She and I would talk for hours, while I told her of all my plans and what I had accomplished...
So, today, I picking myself up and working outside in the gardens, All the while, blasting our music! We Loved Bob Seger, john Melencamp, Ozzy and Native music... lol I'll watch a movie later and polish my nails!

I can just Hear her voice: Jude, don't cry anymore...I am here, then she would give me the biggest, tightest Bear hug/Arm wrap.

Judy, did paint the rock but then shared with a few after my mom made a comment that what I painted wasn't something I should mail so worked on a 2nd one..drats, and here I thought I was finished..because it's a swap item I'll d-mail you a photo, just incase there are lurkers from the swap.

Hi everyone! Sorry I went away for the weekend, well not really, just nice weather and me and Dave had a bet that I couldn't stay off of the computer, we both won because I didn't sit on it for hours like I usually do, but just for a few minutes here and there.

I hope all is well with Tubby, it's been awhile and I am worried.

I am a little better, but I'm still coughing and I have done something on my right side at the bottom of my rib cage directly above my hip, my mom thinks it's pleurisy, I think it's a pulled muscle from coughing. She's freaking out, I'm saying it will get better, Dave says that I pay into medical insurance anyway, $400 a month, and to go to the dr. I called the drs nurse and left a message about 30 minutes ago. The dr. just called me back, that was quick, not even an hour from my phone call and I have another appt at 9:10am, so I'm going to have to tell my dentist that he's going to have to hurry hurry hurry, get me out at 8:45, no x-rays this time anyway.

Stacey I'm glad the pains went away, that's just miserable. Craving sweets, what a bummer! LOL

Debbie so cute about the kittens, Dave would have a coronary if he came home and found a basket of kittens anywhere near the house. He wants to travel and we can't travel when we have pets, sorta true.

Stacey I have fond memories like that too, if I were you I'd push for it because there's nothing wrong with doing something with your family for Thanksgiving, his family for Christmas, then the following year switch it, his family for Thanksgiving, yours for Christmas, and every year it swaps, makes it fair for both of you.

Mary glad you had a good holiday regardless of having to cancel plans. I bet Belle is a hoot, I love puppies and kittens!!

Betty sounds like you and Rose are going to have good times! You'll have to drive her around and show her what Midland and all has to offer, I love it there and can't wait to come back, Miss you Betty and SO wish we were all closer together. Say HI to your mom and Jim for me, and all of the painting ladies! Kinda funny, I was watching TV yesterday and thought, I want to go visit with Betty's mom and Jim, but the drive is a little far for a one day jont up there and back LOL!

Thank you, I was thinking I am going to Sistah gathering thread to share the same photo because i have a picture of Janice (ladydragon) on BJ boat that reminds me so much of this picture! Both having a blast!

Here is my favorite picture. I have it in a bear frame. This was taken at the Cottage. We went for a nice long Boat ride to a favborite hangout called Drews...we climbed 75 stairs to the top from the water. LOL Bear was goofing around, stopping at each landing, ROFLOIL, too=k a picture of her laying on the stair, leg up on railing, pretending to be pure exhausted...Hahaha, we laughed so hard.

Well when she jumped into the boat sat with her Rum & Coke and held the rope, saying it was her safety belt ans announced she was ready to go!! She just loved boating.

Here is the photo of Janice on BJ's boat! We had a Blast that day too.

She is Jacob's Godmother. This she and him. He, still talks to her too, All the kids do.

Bear looks like she is having a great time as does Janice. I never grew up with siblings, so I know it must be so very hard to loose one.
Sometimes so hard for me to believe I haven't seen Shoe (my brother who is DG member) since I was two years old! At least we can stay in touch with internet now.

Thank you all so much for your hugs and Arm wraps! You would have loved Bear too...She was very much into crafts, She did some of the most beautiful art work...I wish i had a photo of her Native American Barbie, She made an entire Traditional Outfit. from head dress to moccasins, included a shawl even. It was magnificent! Anyway, When i first joined DG, I told Bear, and she was so excited for me/us.
And I will tell you all, (for those who don't know) if it weren't for My Betty, I'd still be lurking, LOL. What can i say Betty, you are still pulling me from this slump, and I just love you! Love you all...Been a long time since I told you's.

Well, my intentions were good, but I havn't been outside at all! It is a very Gusty day!! winds are like 30 mph. While I was talking to you all earlier, a huge branch came smashing to the ground, right where I was going to work...So, decided to stay in and chat around the threads.
But the sun is shining and the winds are not cold, a perfect pre-fall day!

Crissy, I hope you are able to see the Doc right away...Dave is right, you are paying all that insurance, go to the Doc!
As far as the gas in the tiller, It's been drained. We put a bit of fresh gas in just yesterday in order to work on it. And it does have fresh oil too...We have discussed the problem might be the ripcord being too long, or that the pin came loose...

Dianne, too funny, i caught that "busty" bunch!! hehehe...Anyway, hope you had a nice walk with Stormy.

I am in agreement with you all...Tubby and Shirley, i sure hope you are traveling. Getting very worried at your not posting.

4th of July, sure miss those. DH's family gatherings are a real hassel, everyone always on odds ends, so hard to even go.
But maybe when Jonathan arrives you get have a wonderful gathering.

Judy, something happened....horrible...I was bitten by the domestication bug! I have done about 8 loads of laundry, folded and put away about 3 of those loads.....then loaded and unloaded the dishwasher....cleaned the kitchen, swept the floor....played with kitties twice (really need to work on those motor skills and socializtions) and I have dinner ready to cook! There darn well better be an antidote for this bug! lol

Betty, I will see about what is required to get a kitty across the border. HOWEVER, that being said....he is my sons favorite. And...between you and me, and the squirrel in the tree...I don't think he is going anywhere.

Judy, I love the little black one also. Really is the run, and quite a bit smaller than the others. They play a little rough with it...and it just turns and runs to me screaming. Reminds me of the little kitty "Marie" on Aristocats movie. I have got to find out if they are males or females. lol

Judy, yep, love you as well..we've covered some ground haven't we..you haven't mentioned your writting in quite some time, not given up have you? yikes, thank goodness you weren't out working when the branch fell..I've lots to pick up in the yard as well, over the past 4 days the winds have been quite high..where oh where was this 87 degrees with sunshine over the weekend...drats, would have to wait until a workday.

Cathy just called, said she brought me a parcel that was at the mail for me, said Rose was surprised to see her, almost as surprised at Cathy was to see Rose at lunch hour..Cathy said she filled her in on the Wednesday painters and others who come in and out..thought I might have mentioned it but must have forgot.

Crissy, I did see your post. I am trying to figure out how these very very tiny kittens....are going to turn into maine coons. I spent a week this summer with 3 giant Maines....belong to my friend Bonnie here on DG. I don't think her babies were ever this tiny! lol

The face on "Trouble" does look maine coon....but the other too, not so sure they picked up that trait. I will definately keep watching them. They just are very petite. Definately about 6 weeks old by skills and teeth....but the size of 4 week olds physically.

most likely Debbie the lack of your tender care has something to do with their size, watch them grow now!!!

Oh my goodness Betty, can you just see us sleeping in that...in some of the weather we encounterd? 105 when we went to Memphis.....the "tornado" storm at Sharons, my goodness....does it have A/C? Lol
