Fruitcake she misses you. It was so cold this morning that when Bob let her in she came up and burrowed under the covers against my chest and just purred like crazy. :0)

WOW LK!! You made a serious haul there.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I called hubby to tell him about the sale, and he said you better not bring home more plants. I told him, too late, they are in the car, and when you stop collecting cars, I will stop buying plants! He did not say anything else! ^_^

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Nice plants, what a great find. DH never says anything about me buying plants, only because he gave up years ago....rofl. Boys toys always cost more than our toys. LOL
That pink looks like obident plant which if it is be VERY careful because it spreads something awful if that is what it is. I don't have any but some MG's bring it to our plant sale and they always warn the buyer. Seems like there is a white, pink, and maybe purple, but it sure is pretty.
The red one and the purple one with the blooms in the middle of the green stalk is cool looking.

Here is a picture of my box I got at the car swap meet...LOL
If you look real close at the edge you will see how well made it is and must be old...rofl.

Nice box!
I think your right on the obedient plant! I will put it in a place that I won't care if it keeps spreading! I say that now, who knows what I will be saying next year!!!
Any idea on the red and purple plants, with the spiral stems going up?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I see pink beardstoungue,( penstamon) and blue spires veronica there so far..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, please tell me what is the pink beardstounge, and the blue spires veronica?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

The blue spikey one is veronica
the pink large lipped one is beardstounge or penstamon, they are both the same. I have them here. they come back every year.
also has been known as obedient plant.. they spread like wild fire and are not obedient/.

I've been collecting 4' O'Clocks but i forgot who wanted what Please tell me again & I Promise to write it down this time .

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I truely have heard horrible things about the nonobident plant....LOL caution caution...LOL

Boy DeeJay I can relate to forgetting, but writing it down doesn't work for me cause I lose that also. Think from now on I am going to have to have someone dmail/email me cause at least I know where that is...LOL I am sure someone has asked me for something and I have agreed and then forgot....which I feel terrible about and don't even know if anyone even asked for something but knowing me they have and I have forgotten...LOL

This has been the week from downunder and I am not meaning Australia......been getting up at 4am to be at the office early cause I need to open, then here in my department by myself, and what could go wrong has gone wrong, from poweroutage over the weekend which alot of the computers didn't like, to the machines decided to stop working, to things that run over night NOT running over night, then not getting to leave until 5 or after, checking on my Mom and then going home which seems just in time for bed. But it is Wednesday....oh thank goodnes.....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, collect 4 o clocks!

Thanks for the ID on the pink plant!

Confused on the blue spikey plant, The plant ID forum says it is Blue Porterweed, Purple Porterweed, Blue Rat's Tail, Verbena Azul, Cayenne Snakeweed, Stachytarpheta cayennensis.

Are you talking about what I was told was a butterfly bush!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Joyce, where do you work, you have to be there at 4 in the morning? Goodness, that is a long day! Sorry your having problems!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

No I don't get here until 5:30 or 6. I am sure people wonder how I get on here at work but because of the hours I spend at work I don't have any guilt for checking in when I have a down moment nor does my boss have a problem with it.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

I have a great deal from a daylily guy not far from me He has over 200 2 yr seedling up for grabs here is what some will look like if anyone wants a box dmail me .

Wow, I've been away for what seems like ages. So much has been going on here. Dr's, Sister overnight in Hospital, painting (yes, I'm painting again) and just life. Did manage to go outside this morning to look at any beauties that may be there. What I am going to show you are very late blooming Glads. I planted the bulbs after my Glads had already bloomed. This one is being propped up by a large Angel Trumpet. I also have Yard Sale Yellow Angel Trumpet (that came back from last year) blooming. Surprise to me, Snow Cone bloomed in the pot, never got into the ground.
All the above blooms are to die for especially that strange looking Red Hibiscus....love that.
Love and hugs to all.

Susie, I wish I had more room for more lillies. Maybe some day?

Hey Faye, how are you doing? Sister in the hospital? What happened? ANd what kind of painting are you doing? Any pictures?

Look at the lovely glads, they are so pretty. I did not know you could plant them at different times. Very nice!

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Hi LK, My Baby Sister that has cancer had to stay overnight in Duke Hospital for a procedure to stop the blood flow to the cancerous tumors in her liver. The tumors had almost doubled in size in 6 months.
As for the painting, I've painted my bedroom and bath and started on the living room yesterday.
Take my advice and never buy a comforter for your bed just because it is pretty and cheap. I did...it came with the dust ruffle and pillows, & shams. Of course I then didn't like the color of the room,....of course the window treatments didn't do the cheap comforter justice and the rugs next to the bed had to go also. Now changing the window treatments,( I got the Waterfall Valances) and had to buy new rods for them. Cheap!!! no more, believe me. But I have to admit, this is the pretties this room has ever been. Sorry the color is showing so red....it is more burnt orange.

Faye that is a beautiful bedroom. You have my bed! Well, some day I will have it! I have always loved the massive 4 poster beds like that!

Sorry to hear about your Sister going to the hospital! Please let her know we are praying for her!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

So sorry to hear about your sister. She is in our thoughts.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh Faye, I am praying for you and your sister and family.
Those Glads are beautiful and I bet they smell good too. I didn't dig mine up last year and they managed to bloom this year. Linda, I guess I can't see what I thought I saw was veronica. ( the blue spikey plant) The plant files picture looks more like what you have.
I will be doing coleus cuttings the same time I do brug cuttings, and will send bags of seeds also.

Joyce, I used to be able to get on from work, but they blocked me .. boo hoo.. it is now too dark in the am to see anything, and only an hour after work, so I am struggling with watching my favorite shows with DH. You know, I wait all winter for this time of the year, and BAM! there goes the sunlight.

deejay that was me on the four o clocks, i collect them. I have so many colours right now, some are new crosses, but I still only have one or two that are specked or marbled. my newest one the peppermint looking one still has not thrown a seed for me dang it.

My new RED ones are fragrant. my fuschias are not. I have been crossing the yellow and whites with all the others to get fragrant ones in colors.
I am not a very good day lilly person, I havn't got the hang of them yet.

Juanita, that is a beautiful bloom, can you bring it over to the new room please?

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

I've been trying to grow these for awhile too. Finally I got some to bloom. The pic isn't great. Will try again when more of them are open. They are toad lilies.
