Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

My daughter never felt better than when she was pregnant. She thought about being a surrogate, but she was like you LK, didn't think she could carry that wee one for all those months and then just let it disappear out of her life. I on the other hand, was sicker than a dog for the first 4 months....no way was I going through that for someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((((Jaye&Kel))))
Marion my word ! do be careful. But it the visual did seem a bit funny. I did giggle.
my bro never had kids. He has a live in girlfriend of 20 yrs. they finely got a dog for crying out loud. ! not a baby person at all .
crissy sending T&P to you and your mom with a huge ((()))
i was a nightmare when i was prego. poor family and friends and strangers that came in my wrath :( then when they were born !
"aawww LAWDY LAWDY LAWDY "
i was just like Brooke Sheilds. IT was horrible. my hormones took over and i just couldn't function.
Stacy glad to hear things are going well with the pregnancy . i found a fairy rubber stamp of mine while cleaning out my scrapbooking. Thought you may like it ? i can send it to you of you want.
purp that sounds horrible for you and your DD. such a small little kids with such horrible pain . ouch. Then to top it off the drs screw it up and he has to wait. oh my what a night i bet that was for you all. hopeing he is feeling better today.
well not much here
sending (())) to you all

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I think if being prego was some joyful thing for me, I could do a surrogate for someone I knew. A good friend of mine (that I have lost contact with in more recent yrs) is gay and I told him that if he ever found a life partner and wanted to have kids I would carry the baby for him. Of course atthe time didn't realize it would take 7 yrs for me to get prego with one of my own and that I would get the short end of the stick with all the bad side effects;)

Sue-if it's not real expensive to send, I'd love a fairy stamp;) The only one I have is card size.

Crissy-hoping the surgery goes well

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, they are all different. Next time, you may not be sick at all!

send me your addy, no worries on the postage i got it.
and i will send it
oh thank goodness kids go back to school next week !!!
this has been a crappy summer for us ? no idea why ? just one of them summers that " if it could go wrong it did " sort of summer.
i m watching LA Ink my fav.
good night and sleep well friends

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-the only luck I have is bad luck, so I am sure if I get prego again it will be worse!!LOL Chris keeps telling me that with my luck I will be one of those people that are in labor forever-I told him if I was that he would pay dearly for that comment!!!LOL

Sue-I am in the address exchange:)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Coffee is on!

I heard from Heathers Sister last night, and she said that the midwives, after 4 days of labor, decided it would be best to go to the hospital and get checked out, as she had a fever and was not feeling well. When they arrived at the ER, they got so upset, and the whole situation, and took her to the ER right away for an emergency c section.
Just glad to hear everything so far is OK!

It is Friday everyone! Hope you all have a great week-end!

Glenview, IL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Sue I can totally relate to your bro, I don't plan on having kids, I got a cat 14 years ago! I did bite the bullet and get married, love my husband dearly but sometimes wonder why, if it ain't broke don't fix it! No, seriously, I'm very glad I married him, my life would be completely different without him and I KNOW that I need him to keep me sane.

Thanks Stacey, I just heard from my step-dad so I'm going to finish reading this thread and then when I send this I'm going to post over there, her prognosis looks grim, but this is not life threatening so that's good.

Every pregnancy is different, my Godsister has 3 now and started when she was 34, her first pregnancy she was sick and just miserable. The second one she didn't get sick or gain weight at all. The third one she became diabetic and had all kinds of problems, so she told her husband, who wanted 12 kids, that she was done, she's 38 (she had them one right after the other) and she feels that her body is telling her to stop, he agreed so she had her tubes tied.

LK Those midwives shouldn't be midwives, but maybe housewives instead. Maybe the hospital will look into their credentials. That's insane, a fever is NEVER good in that situation. Is Heather's sister mad at them? I would be mad at them and myself for allowing that to happen, especially on the 3rd baby. SHE should know better too.

I'm still coughing not very productive coughs, still don't have a voice, I'm wiped out from coughing all the time, called my dr. and asked for more help, the shot didn't do it, it helped, but didn't do it. So I'm waiting for a phone call from my dr to see what's up. Wonder if Advair would wipe it out even though this isn't Asthmatic. I never lose my voice for any longer than a couple of days and now I have a nose bleed and I never get those either. This cold is not a head cold and my sinuses are not clogged at all, it's all in my bronchial tubes and lungs. I hope that gal gets that message to him fast.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

The new meds worked awesome for Kain. He is backing to being the pain in the behind 15 year old, lol. Thank the Lord ^_^

But now Taylor is sick again. Taking her to doc this morning to do throat culture to see what is wrong with her. I was planning on going down to Doug's come Monday but if Taylor is still sick I won't be able to go until next weekend. Doug just hates it that I am not there all the time. He so badly wants me to move in with him. We are working on that but it is a slow process.

Have a good Friday

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh man Cindy! LOL Doug is sssoooooo in luuuuuvvv!! That's awesome he wants you there all the time, but I'm sure he understands that sickly grandkids are important. I hope Taylor doesn't get his strep throat, that stuff is highly contagious!

My Drs nurse called me back just now, I'm impressed about the speed here, and told me to keep doing what I'm doing and see how I am on Monday, the Z Pack of antibiotics will help, today's the 3rd of 5 days, if I don't have a voice by then to call back. ggrrrrrrr

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yep Taylor has strep also. And beings I have been here with both kids since Tuesday I'm affaid I may get it now :( Today is day 4 so we'll see

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

You may not Cindy, don't think about it (yea right, I know) LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no! Hope you don't get it! Better go get some meds, just incase!
Crissy, you need to get better too!

Vit C, Vit C i can't express that enough people :) and take a spoonful of raw honey with tea.
well tomorrow is my oldest DD birthday. well i m still adjusting to the new diagnosis , her new lifestyle choice ect... so it just slipped by me ? sheehs
hope you all start feeling better soon . Sending healthy thought to those who are sick.
bbl

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Cindy-unless you put your mouth on something they did then you shouldn't get it-strep is transferred by saliva (ie the throwing away of the toothbrushes)....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

What a chatty busy bunch here. I am still at my Moms with no idea when I will return home now. She started having more severe pains late yesterday afternoon and was admitted to the hospital last night. Running more test and at this time not a clue what is causing this. My sister and I have reached the over tired state and now we just have the "silly" giggles.

Have a wonderful weekend all.

Marion sending thought and prayers for u and your family
Playing on my iPad,

Sue, Happy Birthday to your daughter, and hope that pup is feeling better soon too!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I've finally 'awaken'... pay the sistah who takes bets that it will be a Saturday that I'll return to normal..

I'll catch up later as for now, giving you all a gist on what's going on in our world before Kel returns to start on his usual Saturday revelry.

Kel's grandma was buried Wednesday. Funeral's a beautiful one with her favorite grandaughter giving the eulogy which drove us into stitches and the songs she chose were The Old Rugged Cross and of course, that eternal favorite.. Precious Memories.

The rest of the week's followed with more sadness.
Kel's uncle is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and he's now waiting to be called 'home'. Uncle Henry is the one that Kel idolized as he's a primitive artist. Being an old hippie, he's not short of the 'natural green' pain killers.

Last night, Kel found out that his high school friend is paralyzed from her chest down. No one knows yet what causes this. And Kel just started having fun with her on FB :(

Be ready for the next one. A little sunshine that God allows to come into our home.
Kel found a 3 week old kitty. It's white with patches of grey and its' back markings are exactly like our old dog, Ali.
Kel feeds it, burp it.. and yes.. he 'wets' its' behind so it could do its' business!! Can you imagine that??
When it starts crying like clockwork at 4 in the morning, papa will wake up..make its' formula.. and feed it. Ended up in the recliner sleeping with the kitty after that.

Has this bit of info brought some smiles yet?
Hope the next one will.
It's name is Cupcake!

Well, I better get ready for Kel. See you all this evening.

Love and hugs and prayers to all my sistahs. I'm so glad you are in my life.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, sorru there is a lot of sadness, and sickness, but just look what God has paced in your lives to cheer you up! Little cupcake! We need pictures when you get the chance?
And please know we are sending lots of prayers to the that can't move.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Mom was taken into surgery this morning as the situation with the hernia became critical. She has come through the surgery okay but the doctor told us the worse part now is ahead. 70% percent of her stomach had been pulled into the chest area thus the reason for all the pains. We didn't see her before she went in, talked with her on phone and she assured us both it had to be done as could not keep living with all the pain. So we gave our permission with much fear. She is in ICU for the next 3-4 days possibly longer depending on how she does. We are going back into the hospital in the hopes we can see her tonight but the surgeon said there will be a good chance we might not-depends on how she is coming out from the antheseathea (can't spell). Please keep us in your prayers as the rough road is ahead.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

God will bless you Marion and Mom and sis. My prayers are with you....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Prayers are with you Marion and Jaye!

Marion I hope your mom makes a full recovery.
Jaye I am so sorry about Kel's uncle and friend! I hope they find out why she's paralyzed, that's strange. LOL on 'natural green' pain killers.

Dave's oldest sister, Linda, her husband, Bernie, found out 3 weeks ago he has stage 4 cancer, Dave talked to him 2 weeks ago on the phone for a couple of hours and he told Dave that he's ready to go anytime God wants to take him. Dave's other older sister, Donna, called the day before yesterday and said that Bernie hasn't passed but he's not with us either. Linda married him when she was 16, she's now 62 or 63, he's 70. Dave's trying to determine if he wants to go to California or not, he hasn't been very close to them since he was 10. He feels uncomfortable going, but uncomfortable if he doesn't go. He's worried about Linda because Bernie and the church is all she has ever known, but since she is Jehovah Witness he doesn't feel like he would belong. I advised him that when the time comes he will know what decision to make, at that moment.

Jaye how cute! Dave did something last night I thought I would never see, he kissed Tiga on the head! He's always been 'I don't like cats' and whatever, I keep telling him 'but you love that one!' and of course he responds 'no I don't.' LOL! Yea Right! He's always babying her and spoiling her and now he's kissing her! HA!

Sue I hope pup gets better! MMMMMM Hot Dogs

I don't think I'm any better, I feel like I have Pneumonia, or could the antibiotics make me feel all fatigued? I felt fine this morning, other than not having a voice still, and Dave decided that we needed to move the TV and turn the backboard behind the TV stand around the correct way, I helped him for about 5 minutes and I was so fatigued and shaky the rest of the day all I could do was sit and rest. That was at 1pm and now at 5:30 I'm almost feeling good again.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye, so glad to see you back and so happy for the new little addition to your family. Sorry for all the bad luck, and I hope that everything will turn out according to God's will...well of course, it WILL!

Marion, so sorry to hear about Mom's surgery, and I hope that she's able to cope with the recovery....you, too! ((Marion))

Crissy, still time to take it easy girl...don't push it!

Hope...praying for you....

I'll be back in a minute to tell you about our day yesterday.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Had a wonderful time yesterday. Bertie and I took Sue out for her birthday lunch, and on the way there stopped at a garage sale. I lucked out with a brand new looking crockpot (one of the nice big oval ones) for $7.00, Bertie got some cushions for her swing for $5.00 and Sue got a tupperware cake carrier and a dog crate for cheap. After lunch we went to Sharon Nursery. Got some cool plants there.

After that, Sue and I decided to go to Dorothy Lane Market for something sweet...Well...turns out, since they have such yummy food, that Sue wanted to spend her birthday money and she bought stuff for our dinner including a nice bottle of red wine...so she spent the night. Oh my we did eat well! We had a wonderful cheese.. .hmm can't remember the name of it, and we got a nice little round focascia to go with that...plus some figs...now I'm not a big fan of figs, can't stand Fig Newtons and the like, but she talked me in to trying this thin slice of fresh dried fig and I liked it! Still won't go out and buy any, but I did enjoy the two little pieces she cut for me. Then we had Asiago crusted chicken breast, balsamic marinated couscous salad and rosemary bread. Oh yeah, some pork balls with sweet and sour sauce . For dessert we had picked up two pieces of white cake with raspberry filling and whip cream icing...BUT it wasn't whip cream icing, it was buttercream and there was hardly any raspberry in it and it was STALE! So we did a Thelma and Louise in the convertible with the top down and went back to DLM at 10:00 and returned the two slices of cake. WELL!!!! 4.99 a piece should have been AWESOME, NOT DISAPPOINTING! We looked around for something else, but we were really still full from everything else, so we came back home and called it a night.

Lucy is a real sweetie pie, and I think she'll be easy to train. I had her sitting on command before she left. I would have kept her. I think Sue has become attached though! They just left and I thought I'd check in here. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Crissy-you are exhausted easily I think because your body is using so much energy to fight your virus-you need LOTS of rest and fluids...

Joyce-sounds like you all had a super fun tome yesterday!!!

Had my baby shower yesterday (well, the 2nd one) and it was fun. Only had my, DH, DH's 2 bros, SIL, MIL, MIL's friend, 2 gals from work and 1 other friend (so 5 of the 35 we invited), but we had a good time. The weather was nice and the food was good. We played a few games and had fun-DH won 2 of them!!LOL

Here is a link to the goodies-I think about the last 10 pics or so....
http://picasaweb.google.com/Fairy1004/BabyStuff?feat=directlink

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Tink, looks like you got a lot of nice stuff!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Yeah and we did get a couple things we actually need, so I was happy for that.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

The diaper bag is ADORABLE!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I know Joyce, isn't it-I love it!!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Wow Joyce sounds like Sue had a wonderful birthday! I would have taken the cake back too, that's just gross.
Sue, how was that wine?

Chocolate Labs are wonderful, smart, good dogs. Yea they get big but the rewards from having such a wonderful dog outweigh the large factor by a mile.

Stacey I think your right. I slept better last night than I have in a week. I didn't have to use one single cough drop during the night, didn't have coughing fits or anything. Spent half of the night on the reclining couch so I could sit up, but my back started to hurt and I couldn't get comfortable anymore so I went to bed and had no problem! I feel better today and am coughing up a bunch of yuk.

Stacey you got some cute stuff! The diaper bag is my fav too, but those chocolates that you made are so cute!

crissy you should be here with me drinking this wine :) its soooo dern guuuud.
to bad our cake was sucky ducky yucky. i sure hope you start to feel better soon crissy
that is one cute bag Stacey :)
Marion sending T&P to you and family
Cookie i think Lucy misses Ceyenne already LOL she is one pooped pup !

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

HI girls,

popping in to let ya know I'm keeping everyone in my prayers.

Last week being the first week of school was interesting and tiring.
got the route figured out now if the guy just does as I showed him to do he will get the kids to school in plenty of time and not be late
the new boss has lost my trust and respect already. he stated that trips would be handed out by the list that was made in abc order. Well I was handed a trip Thursday for this coming Tues and by Friday evening he had it reassigned to an other driver. His so called logic is he has lead staff over 40 hours so that means over time. but what he fails to understand is that last week has no effect on this weeks time. I work 32.5 hours a week 6 1/2 hrs a day and even if I work 1/2 hr extra each day that gives me 35 hrs still under 40...When I do a trip I get docked for not being on the clock at work and I get trip pay not my regular pay so the time on the trip partially replaces what I lost ..... it is not right that he changes things because of someone else looking at peoples times and telling him what to do. I say that because the trip guy that gave me the trip commented on the 3 witches and them having a part in what happened.
If this guy thinks he can run transportation and not have overtime with the length of the routes this year he is sadly mistaken. Even the old boss said it can't be done.
He also commented he was trying to keep the drivers off his back...well he is not going to make brownie points doing stuff like this those 3 are gonna sink his ship.

I thought about replying to the email and going through the explanation as I have told you but then I decided nah I'm not gonna stoop to their level I am going to go in and do my job and work the hours I am scheduled to work and when I clock out I will leave the grounds.
I will only speak to office staff on a need to do basis.
It's not right that because of others purposely riding the clock for overtime those of us not doing it are punished.

Sorry I needed to vent.

Crissy...as it was said above Vit C Vit C...your body does not store it so taking it every day is a good thing.
I like the chewables fruit flavor from GNC
chicken noodle soup or broth is good too ..opens things up and is found to really help
and for sleeping have a hot tottie
Tablespoon Honey
Tablespoon Lemon
Tablespoon Whiskey
in microwave safe bowl
microwave til just warm and drink down
May not taste the best but honey it works I grew up on it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Phyllis, it is nice to see you here, even if you are venting. You go right ahead and vent all you want. Wish we were there to talk some sense into that new boss! He will figure it out, when it is too late!
Hope you all had a great week-end!

Marion, and news on your Mom? Is she still in ICU?

Jaye, how are you and Kel doing today? Will his Uncle be doing any type of treatment?

Crissy, hope your feeling better today, and some sort of voice to talk with?

Cindy, hoping your Grandkids are feeling better too! Are they back to school yet?

I have the coffee going, and will be either in the kitchen sewing on some quilt blocks, or outside watching the hummers, before it gets too hot!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Enjoy the hummers LK - the blocks can wait for them!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning ladies.
Marion, here's praying that your mum will have a successful operation and easy recovery.
I hope you and your sister sneaks some time off to rest.

Stacey, I too love the diaper bag that Barb made. Ain't her work, flawless?
I haven't started on Jonathan's bibs yet.. but don't worry.. I have neutral fabrics bought.. a matter of finishing my row robins first!

Crissy, take care of yourself please. Me too guilty of not taking vitamins regularly. With 7 pills to take daily, what's one more multi vit.!!
By the way... prayers continue for your dear Mum, and sorry to read of Dave's BIL.

Cookie and Sue, you didn't mention whether Austin and Savannah were with you? Or was it just for the old ladies and one pooch :D
I wish I was there and I'll be asking you all to take a trip to Jungle Jim!
Can't get over the cheese there.
Have more fun for us!!

Phyllis, I just don't understand your new boss' mind set. If things work, why break it. If someone could influence his mind, then he's not boss material. CYA in this case... keep a log on your activity... well.. you know what to do... you've been through this before with the 3 witches.

Cindy, I hope Taylor's back to normal. 2010 has been a trying year for you and the grandkids. Now you have Doug too to look after.

LK, PTL that Xavier Amadeus.. comes into this world all healthy. His mama truly gave everyone here a fright!!

Twyla, love shouldn't be an embarrassment, even if our love's projected on critters! I know for sure, if the Lord needs caretakers for His animals up there.. you and Kel will certainly be helping out!!

Sistah Judy.. keep 'smoking' sistah!! Hope the kids are fine and you're having one wonderful journey in your row robin swaps!
I sure could use your giant armwrap today!!

Susan, did you record your solo? You need to post it on Youtube if you could.. I know sistahs here will love your voice as much as I do.

Keep Pamela Spivey in your prayers please. She's only 44, with two kids and we want her to be healed of her sudden paralysis.
Doctors did a spinal test, and it was fine. Perplexed them I'm sure.
Now it's up to the neurologists to help her.
She will remain in the hospital for the week.. I hope they keep her there till they find out what's wrong.

It was a busy Sunday yesterday. Kel's parents surprised us at our church. They enjoyed the preacher and the congregation went overboard to make them feel welcome.
Being it was a 5th Sunday, they were treated to extra singing which my FIL truly enjoyed.
Think the best part was when the preacher praised Kel so openly about how much he's loved there. Kel never get that recognition at his parents' church that we used to go to.
Furthermore, his parents are not used to praises on their son... unless from me.

We also visited his uncle. He used to have beautiful long blonde Well.. cancer robbed him of that.
Kel couldn't recognize him as he's no longer the 58 year old, strappy man he once was.
This guy's so proud that he never asked for help. We were told that he needed a fridge, so we gave him one, along with a microwave.
As I had said.. he's waiting to be called home.

Phew.. it took me ONE hour to type this!!! Life interrupts!!

Have a good day everyone!!

This is Cupcake...
