No baby yet! It has been 36 hours, and she is still only 3 minutes apart on the pains! She has been walking most of the night. When she sits or lays down to rest, so does the baby!

Morning everyone!
No Stacey, we don't need you to go into labor yet. Not quite your time!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

If I am in labor for 36 hrs someone had better shoot me and put me out of my misery!!LOL I am surprised the hospital is letting it go on like this-usually if you don't progress steadily these days they will either give you pitocin to speed it up or if all else fails a C-section. You can tell I watch a lot of the baby shows huh??LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That's just it, she is not in the hospital. She chose to do th is at home, with a midwife that checks in every few hours! I told he I was not happy with her decision, but it is her decision! So here she sits, still waiting. I told her of the complications for the baby if he was not born with in 24 hours after her water broke, and she wrote back and told me not to worry about it!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Geez....hope she'll be alright...

Morning all....where's Jaye? Hope she's doing okay.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-you are right-they say that after so long the body becomes exhausted which makes the progression of delivery and the trials of labor sometimes too much. I really don't get the at home births-I know the theory is that it was done that way for 100's of years B4 we started going to hospitals, but we have technology and medical advances for a reason right?? I mean these people that do the at home births are still riding horses and instead drive cars right?? Plus I am always the what if person-what if there is a problem?? I want qualified people there to take care of me and the baby....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That happened to a co-worker of mine, his wife decided she wanted to do the Midwife thing Ha! She was in labor for 32 hours and to the hospital she went. My mom was in labor with me for 72 hours, at the hospital!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh goodness! I was luck, my water broke first thing with both boys, and exactly 8 hours later they were delivered!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Well, school started today, this is my youngest grandson Rory at his kindergarten classroom! He looks all grown up!

Hello everyone.
Cookie, I hope your party went well and your mum's spirits are better.
Sis Kathy.............YOU are what I would call.... CAPITAL MULE!!!
Stubborn is too lax of a description for you. Please do NOT worry about anything in and out of the house. Need to take care of yourself first.
Maid M., I'm still praying that somehow God provides a way that you and your sister can cope with taking care of your mum.
LK, Rory looks like he's always planning on something mischievous to do, next!! He's a handsome lad tho'!

Thank you very much for your prayers.
Kelvin's grandma right now is at the feet of Our Lord. She died peacefully in her sleep last night.
We are so thankful to Him for taking her so quickly.

I won't be around for the week. Sorry sistahs. I know you all would understand.

Hugs and love to all.

prayers being sent, so sorry about your loss

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I wil give you something to laugh about:

went to take bath Saturday night, sat down on Mom's shower stool; it broke, flipped me backwards in tub hitting my head and shoulders on tub. Sister came to help and said I looked like I had just delivered a bench. Feet in air like in stirrups. It is okay to laugh at that visual.
Never thought we were going to get the stool removed so I could get up as we both got the silly giggles at that point. Yes I am okay just pride bruised along with shoulders and hip.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh my goodness Marion, sorry to laugh, but it just sounds likeoa video one see's on the funniest video show! Glad to hear your OK!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

maid m, please don't hurt yourself. you could have been seriosly injured. BE CAREFUL!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

It was and when I finally got up and out my sister remembered her camera was on the sink. Thank goodness she didn't think of it sooner. Now she said I can't bathe until I go home. LOL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

what do you mean, no pics? lol

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes, I know, I was very lucky but when I realized I was okay, all I could do was laugh! I am sore and bruised but I truly am okay. Only hurts when we have to lift Mom up to move her someplace but we are working on getting help.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

NO PICTURES!!!! use your imagination!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I AM!!! THATS THE PROBLEM
i can't stop laughing

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Go right ahead, my sister and I laughed too!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Jaye and Kel.. so sorry to hear of your loss, but thank goodness she went in such a peaceful manner and didn't have to suffer..I know that will give you a lot of comfort.

Marion.. thanks for the chuckle but I'm really glad that you're ok!! That could have really been nasty and thank goodness your sister was there! I can only imagine having to call 911 on THAT if she hadn't been! :)

Jaye-(((((((((((((((((((((you and Kel)))))))))))))))))))

Auntie M-you and I belong to a special club I think. A few yrs ago when we lived in San Jose we had an apt with a small porch that overlooked the man-made lake. On each side was a weird dirt area that was about 4X4'. One day DH and I were sitting out there and I had my chair so the back was to one of the side spaces, didn't see it was so close to the edge and plopped down in it. Wouldn't you know the chair went off the side with me in it-stuck with my head bent against the stucco wall, caught in the chair as it had tried to fold itself up, down about 2' from the main part of the porch. My feet were in the air and my arms all akimbo-after DH asked if I was OK, we started laughing and then I couldn't get up. There wasn't any room for him to get down there and help me up so he tried to help using his feet to unfold the chair so I could get out. It took us about 10mins to get me out of there, laughing the whole time of course. We still laugh to this day-he always says that something like that could only happen to me-now I can tell him he is wrong;)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending most sincere sympathies Jaye. She is at peace now and that's the blessing. It's truly wonderful knowing there is a place for us yet to come....

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh the visual Marion!!!!! Thank heaven you are okay...

Mario, I am so glad it was not your Mom that fell like that! Now she needs a new toilet!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-do you mean a new seat for the bath?? I was wondering since I got confused about the toilet??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Not for sure Stacey, she said she sat down on the stool, and it broke?
Stool or seat, it broke, and she will need a new one!
Marion, hope your not too sore today! How is Mom doing?

Well, I still have no news on the delivery! My niece has stopped posting on facebook, and no one has heard from her on the phone, so I don't know what is going on! It has been almost 60 hours since her water broke, and I am so worried!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Jaye Kel , so very sorry , a wnderful angel is miling down on you both and all her family.. T&P.

Marion hope pain is leaving your body and feeling so better.. blessings.

Thanks everyone and glad I could provide a laugh. I am okay but the bruises and soreness is showing up on my shoulders and hips. I will be here longer as we had Mom to her gastroentrologist today . Thursday he is doing a scope. She has lost 6 lbs. in the past week; terrible pain in the stomach area; nausea and very weak. He told my sister and I, he will be looking for either an ulcer or growth as there has to be something causing these systems. Please remember us in your prayers.
