Struggling to do regular Monday errands.. had to drag myself off the bed this morning. Think I'm having a Christine Condition!!!
I'm retaining so much fluids.. got to be something I ate last night.
Or it could be I don't drink enough.. sigh..

Cindy, LK is right. My ex had to get the doctor to write a note stating his limited mobility and the max. weight he could carry.
He was given an appraisal by one of the SSD assigned doctors and he was told to reach for an object on a shelf higher than his head.
Ex told the doctor to do it himself as that posture would only aggravate his back.
He got his SSD approved immediately.

Susan, I applaud you and other sistahs who stick to your exercise regimen. No will power here, and a gym is about an hour's drive. Somehow my body reacts when I'm ready for the threadmill. My legs decide to rebel!! LOL!!

Maid M., if you can read this..I'll pray that you and your sister will not encounter any problems with your Mum.

Deep watered the garden yesterday. Took 4 hours with the sprinklers.
Thank God we're still using well water. No public pipes going through here.

Twyla, if you could give the kitty some antibiotics like Amoxillin, about a dropful, that will help clear whatever infections it may have. The blindness might be caused by a bad upper respiratory tract infection.
That's what happened to Possum, so the vet recommended that. He might never recover his eyesight, but you'll end the infection.

Sue, thank you for worrying over me. Think I know what's causing this.
I'm not much into salt or food with nitrates and I've just changed my soy sauce to a low sodium one.
Only indulgence is bacon.. and have that like 3 times a month :(

LK, the minute you posted that.. I thought about what I had done differently with the meds. Then it hit me that I just started a week ago, increased the dose of Lyrica to ease the nerve pains.
Lyrica's side effect is also fluid retention.. so it's double that now.
I'm taking them off completely and just have to bear with the nerve pains.

Morning Ladies,
I'm at my daughter's last day of babysitting YAY!!! Oh my poor daughter. Sometime Saturday she got bit by a bug. And od all places on her butt. Yesterday morning she showed it to me and it was a little red. By the 2:00 yesterday afternoon the redness had spread and the center was hard and feverish. It hurt so bad that she could not sit. She went to the doctor he told her if she had waited one more day he would had to cut it open. He gave her some antibiotics. She was already gone to work when I got here this morning so I don't know she it is doing.

How many of you are following the story of the No Mosque at Ground Zero? Well the biker club thay I belong to is putting together a ride on 9/11 to protest it. So far there are over 800 bikers going to attend this thing. I will be camping on this weekend so will not get to see it on tv. I will be something to see.

Did talk to the doctor this morning, and just like I chose to take myself off Lantus.. I am doing the same with Lyrica.
I don't want any more 'nerve' pills!!! They all have their side effects!!

LK, your info is on the mark. I thought Lantus' side effects are making it worse on weight gain and mobility. But I have been on Lyrica for 3 years too, and just last week double the dose.
I have peripheral neuropathy. Regular pain killers will not relief the nerve pain.
So..... I'll bear the pain during the day which is thankfully not constant.
Whereas at night, it is worse, especially when I'm horizontal. Sometimes Kel had to massage my feet when they get so bad.
No pain no gain right? On the flip side.. maybe this will help me lose those pounds.

Pray for me sistahs and bruddah..... I just got laid off from my job, effective Friday, and they sent me home early today.
My last day is Friday.
Reason is - making a long story long....... - Last Dec a big-wig boss was asked to take leave of absence and the co hasn't gotten him back yet (they don't want him, actually). His secretary didn't have that many duties. My boss started taking on his duties, and now he has 2 secretaries (Maureen & I). Maureen has been there more years than I, and she's an Executive Admin Assistant, to my Admin Assistant position.
She "covered" for me while I was on vacation last month, and they're going to tell her that she now is full-time assistant to Dr. Baskin.

they picked out canned soup at the grocery ( yes icky )
son smelled his (spongebob noodle soup ) and he said " eewww this stinks like butt ! " LOL joy to my ears. He wanted my homemade split pea soup !! and then he said " wow you make good soup mom " ( smiled ear to ear grin i had )

btw - I applied to a job, online, tonight. It's for SAIT Polytechnic - great place to work I hear, and it's unionized (not that I like unions, but once in........). Great pay, too, from what I understand.

Heard from Jude. He's home for a few days and will be back to the doctors' Monday.
They diagnosed his losing muscle tissues as diet lacking in protein.
Jude's a rice and potato guy. Now he's told to eat more protein which includes high protein veges like beans, grains, nuts and seeds.
Besides losing muscle tissues, he was also losing strength.

Stacey, it was terrible last night. Yes, sistah Kathy.. Kel helped till I went back to sleep.
But.. it's something I can work with knowing the alternative.

I do hope it rains today, LK. The grasshoppers are multiplying in numbers and the heat just make them chomp happy.
The brugs' leaves are suffering and it seems the sprays don't affect those buggers!!!
BTW, "H" is improving since I applied Charley's Poo!! Got "H" and Superspot under the oak tree and surprisingly, those grasshoppers haven't notice them --yet!

we have decided to bring my oldest DD home to Ohio. She needs me and i can't let her be homeless anymore. We will be looking for an apt for her and helping her find a program for school ect...
God is telling me something and i think its time i listened . Lets get her home and get some help. I beleive she is finely realized her faith and what her life is with out it.

Jude does include meat and fish in his meals, but I presume the amount he consume are not enough.
He's a karate buff when he's much younger and his senseh had hounded him to eat more beef.
I'm sure the hospital's nutritionist had given him a guideline as how much is needed.
He's about 6ft. and his stroke took a toll on his body.
Still, I can't imagine someone that young to be going through this.

Sue, your DD certainly needs a secure environment. Family is certainly the perfect haven. You'll also be able to monitor her.
Imagine if the Lord turn His back on us.. where will we be today?

Crissy - as per request - my severance pkg, normally only 2 weeks pay, but instead they gave me:
6 weeks pay
PLUS $1000 training and/or counselling allowance (submit up to March 2011), and 2 months benefits. Part of the reason is because of age (I's too old to be looking for a job, they feel.......after all, I'm 56, doncha know?!)
The physicians, managers, and some friends of mine, are taking me out for lunch tomorrow, too. People are begging me to make sure I include them on the invitation. I think there's 15-20 people who are coming - maybe more, but then I'm not setting it up ^_^

Susan, they are very generous with you. Could have kept you, but I guess office tenure is much more important to them than efficiency.

I just found out this afternoon that a girlfriend I met when I was in 7th grade and we have kept in touch all these years has filed separation from her husband (this is #3) not too long ago, Dave got very bad vibes from him when we met him about 5 years ago, as I did too, guess we weren't wrong, so I'm trying to plan a trip up to Springfield, MO to see her this fall as I only have 15 vacation hours at the moment and she has Mon, Tues, and Wed off. I'd like to go between our birthdays, we'll both be 38 this fall, but of course that's conference time for me.

We've just been told Kel's paternal grandma is 'eaten' up with cancer.
She's 90 and her daughter who has power of attorney decided on no treatments.
Tomorrow, we'll take a drive to the nursing home. As some of you know, she's just been admitted there not too long ago.
