My Sissy is gone....I tried to get her to stay as long as Jaye did...but it didn't work! Good thing Kel wasn't with her, or he would have had to sneak Jaye off sooner, too! Anyway, we had a grand time and the turkey was fabuloso!

Jaye I am over it but boy it made me soooo weak! What's really bad is I gave it to Dave. :( :( :( :( I feel a lot better today, but still a tad weak, and I'm not eating very much. Dave thinks he's going to feel good enough to grill some chicken for dinner, but I'm not so sure, he's a day behind me with the illness and I couldn't do much of anything yesterday after lunch.

I'm not going to sit very close to the screen, cause I sure don't want to get that stufff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had to go to store and in van said 109 air doesn't work i did not htink make it back made me so nauseated.. i ate some watermelon not to good week old but it was wet!!

Susan it does suck, no two ways about that one! Dave's over it, we did grill chicken last night and it was sooooo good but we got full after about 5 bites! LOL!! He's out hoeing the weeds and I'm sitting in here feeling bad that I'm not out there with him, but I'm not moving very fast to be out there with him either. Ok, I need to be out there, not fair for him to do it all.

We're supposed to get a weak, slow moving cold front today so maybe rain this afternoon!

Couldn't make it to church today. I'm still limping and the sinus is too bad that even Zyrtec didn't help.
But Kel went as he's left to carry the prayer requests.

Will stay indoors and try to sew. Finished a set of blocks and will start on another.
Whew.. 3 sets finished.. 3 more to go!

Jaye...yes, I showed her BlueJaye...no she didn't bring AL rocks with her, so she had to put her name on a Buckeye rock! Added the Rebel to it, too. The birds were doing tricks, but the sunflower feeder is empty, and probably won't get filled up for a while either..if ya know what I mean...

I was sad when she left..hope she gets on soon to tell of her trip.

I'm singing Whispering Hope (at the top of my lung power/pitch, I'll have you know!! LOL) and I'm doing well. Hello ladybugs! Not much to tell, I'm about melted here...ACTUAL temperature 104 here today!!!!! Lord help us all if it doesn't cool off soon.....Last time it was this hot was 1980, the year I graduated high school. I don't even remember it.....sigh.....I guess because I was young it didn't bother me.

I've been doing fall type clean up in the yard, cutting down dead cannas and raking leaves, packing it up for the winter. Love you all

Sue, that's wild ginger to me. It thrives in shade and love moisture. Make pretty purple flowers. I've heard the root is very acidic. If I were you, don't use it for dishes that call for ginger.. that's a different ginger family, like zingiber I think?
It may be called wild ginger as when you brush against the foliage, you can smell ginger like fragrance.

ROFLOL Christine Conditions! I forgot all about that! AGH!!!

We got thunder and lighting, and no rain. It's going to be in the mid 90's instead of low 100's now so that's good, Dave's whole veggie garden is parched, my hibiscus plants are parched, and he said again yesterday that he's getting tired of taking care of it when it's so hot it doesn't really do any good. We try to keep the ground wet but the sun is burning the leaves on everything so it's all kind of dying from the top down.

I don't know what is going on with this crazy weather. But this is the coldest summer California has had in years. But to me 88 is not cold. We will be in the high 80's all this week and into the weekend. I went to the Farmer's Almanac (spelling???) and it said that Sept & Oct are going to be very warm. So we may be having an Indian Summer. That's is fine with me because where we are going for our first long ride and camping trip is on the coast and it won't be so chilly ^_^.

Doug got the results of his MRI. Disc 3 and 4 are deterirating disc 5,6,& 7 twisted. Doc is sending him to a spine specialist and gave him some stronger pain meds. I'm thinking this will help him in getting SSD.

Well off to Curves and babysitting again. One more day and then the kids start school Wednesday YAY!!!!!

Way to GO Cindy (re: Curves). Until now my trainer has only been helping me make my "bum" knee more flexible, but now he's into strength training 1x/week. The other 2 times I'm trying to lessen the tummy and hips....... siiiiiiiiigh. He's tougher on me than I am, sorta! I'm the one doing this 3x/week (Mon, Wed, Fri - before work) and I love it!

Cindy, make sure he gets one of the doc to write him a scrip, that says he can not perform xxx duties and/or lift more than XX punds, or no standing or sitting for prolonged periods. That will help with SS!
