Dear Lord,
When the shadows start to be long, guide us to Your Light.
By faith we ask for wisdom
By faith we ask for healing
By faith we ask for abundance
By faith we ask for forgiveness
and all these be done, according to Your will.

۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞197
Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
Sorry Jaye, that was posted in another room, and I just had to share it. Not for sure how it is made.
I will post in the RMB, to show Jax, and Sis!
Jaye, you were by no means being cold. Yes, you are very correct in the statement we shouldn't be lifting but I think a little more than 20 pounds might be okay. If I stopped at 20 I wouldn't get all the good hugs I still get from the youngest GD!!!
I do understand where you are coming from and to be honest, we have gone through this already with our Dad and to some extent our Grandmother. Dad although bedridden for several years and having to be fed with a large syringe type thing, remained at home until our Mom had a nervous breakdown. She was also caring for our grandmother at the same time with no help from 6 siblings. Seems to run families. Long story, short version: grandmother went home with one of the daughters who herself was very sick , I took Mom home for 6 weeks, Dad hospitalized and later moved to nursing home. Sad part: when Dad passed and we took Mom home, my GM was brought home the next day. First words from her to our Mother was: " I knew you would kill Joe by putting him a nursing home." Boy those words are etched in my memory forever!!!! Although my Mom has changed some of her views from a child, some are still very strong in her mind as a result of her upbringing. Guilt trips were my GM's thing will all her children. Mom does this to us to some degree and it is rough to deal with. We both realize we aren't trained nor equipped to care for her when she is completely immobilized. Enough said!
LK, how is Lilly doing? Saying prayers for her and family. Please let us know how things are.
Well, today Kim officially starts her 24th year of teaching school. I was up to see her off and we both had a good laugh that this has been going on for 42 years now. You would think sooner or later she would graduate. LOL
Love the planter. Have a good day all and sorry about the long personal things above.
Don't be sorry Marion! That is what we are here for!

Look at todays article about birdhouses! WOW!
Auntie M-I agree with Jaye.....I too feel a little bad saying it, but there is a reason that taking care in a hospice manner is a profession. I understand the whole theory that your parents took care of you as a child and you should do the same for them as they age, but there is a big difference between a baby and an aging adult. They know which signs to look for to help head things off like your mom's stomach pains before they get to terrible. Plus, not to sound mean, but is it really fair for either you or your sister to pretty much put your lives on hold to take on that responsibility?? There are a lot of lovely places that do not fit the stereotype that perpetuates the fear that elderly people have of nursing homes. You just have to do some research and find a place you all feel comfortable with. Sounds like she needs assisted living, not the full time, bed ridden type care......just my 2 cents...
Had a Drs appt yesterday. My anemia and gestational diabetes tests came back good, so I am happy about that. When she measured me she said that we were bigger than normal. Meaning that my uterus and hence my belly and the baby are bigger than they should be at this point. So in about 4 weeks I will go back to the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at the Toledo Hospital and have an ultrasound to make sure the blood flow to the placenta is still good with the high blood pressure and to measure the baby's size to see if we need to alter the due date. I also now start having Drs appts every 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks..
Twyla-I worry about you. And to be honest, I don't understand why it is your hubby stays in the cool air room all the time and you are left with what seems to be 100% of the household duties?? I'm not trying to be weird, I really don't get it. The way I look at it is that more than just you lives there and helps to dirty things, so why is it just you that cleans it all up??
Kathy-tsk, tsk young lady. I don't think that is taking it very easy;) Do you have another hospital, dr or urgent care you can take your daughter to for a 2nd opinion??
Good morning!
Phyllis, so glad to see you posting. Sounds like you are one busy lady! Try to make time for us now and again...we miss you! Tell BJ we said hello as well. Are you trying to get her to change her mind about taking a student this year? Bet you are!
Yesterday I babysat for my great nephew...he was a preemie and he just turned a year old. He's a little guy, but smart as a whip!
Sorry the picture is pretty bad...
Auntie M-sorry-cross posted
Joyce-how cute!!!!
Tink, don't feel bad saying that. Sue (my sister) and I both realize it is the best but Mom can be very sharped tongue at times much like our GM. It won't be long and she will be bedridden--days of being able to move on her own are limited according to the doctor yesterday.
Oh Marion, my heart goes out to you on this...I know how hard it is to have parents that are aging. I'm so glad that 13 years ago my folks decided to go to the retirement home. They can graduate up to full care if the time comes that they need it, but right now they are still in their little patio home and take care of each other. They do use the clinic there often and are really good about going to the Dr. when needed. They know I'm here to help, and I've been doing more and more of that with driving to their specialist offices. Wish I had something to say that would make you feel better. I'll be praying that all goes smoothly for you and sis and of course, Mom.
Congrats to Kim for once again making the first day! Did you cry? I only cried when my daughter went to kindergarten for the first time. When my son went the next year....I went to lunch with my girlfriend and celebrated!
Stacey, take care, Dear, and listen to your Drs!
My mom also belongs to the club of Queen of the Guilt trips.....however as of the last couple years I just don't put up with it. I tell her to knock it off or to let me know when she can be reasonable and not act like that. Sometimes I don't hear back from her for a couple days, but the guilt trips have lessened dramatically!!;)
Atta girl!
Oh Joyce, I do listen to what she says. We had a good laugh yesterday on the perils of shaving and bending over at this stage-LOL I told her I bought this stuff you are supposed to be able to spray on, leave for a few mins and just rinse off in the shower. I said if that didn't work, Chris was going to have to start shaving my legs-LOL
LOL...yeah, I bet THAT would happen! ^_^
well, I very well can't turn into a wildebeest now can I;)
He'll call Janice.... want to bet????
No-I don't think he would do that. I may have to whine a bit, but he'd do it;)LOL
Wow....good for you!
ROFLOL Keep us posted Tink!!
Nope I didn't care Cookie--that I did when she started first grade--the last 24 have been as the "teacher" not the student. She gets just as nervous as she did her very first day teaching. Took the girls up to she her at the school yesterday and oh what an experience. They go to a very small school and could not believe the size of the high school. They were discussing it in the car and their Mom and I were listening in on the conversation. They finally decided there were more than 10 classrooms, maybe as big as 25.
Lol! Cute...out of the mouths of babes!
Sistahs.. Tubby...
LK just called me saying the situation with Lilli Marie is getting serious.
The doctors have to sedate her as she's not processing her food and it looks like surgery is imminent. Chances of surviving the surgery is all up to our Lord now.
Please pray for this little angel. All according to His will, of course.
BBL.
Jaye, thank you for the update. Prayers being said for Lilli and her family.
Stacey sounds like you're going to be giving birth to a 10 pound baby! LOL J/K! Seriously, I hope everything is alright, and I'm glad the diabetes is good and you're going in every 2 weeks, your probably not happy about that as it's such a drag to go to the drs office and sit, but it'll be over fairly soon anyway.
Jaye thanks for the update, lots and lots of prayers going out, they never stopped but you know, the more the merrier!
Phyllis!!!!! I've missed you! LOL my next door neighbor has a Dachshund named Millie.
I hear kids...
Thanks Jaye. I was t the park with the grandson's when my Brother called with the news. Sorry to cry on your shoulder Jaye, I just need to get the prayer request out.
As soon as I hear anything I will post it here.
Thanks for the prayers everoyne!
((((Linda Kay, Lillie Marie))))
You are very welcome LK.
That's what shoulders are for, besides burping babies!!
Spread your request all the way to Louisiana too. Ex called to give an update on Jude, and I asked him to call his prayer warriors and start praying for Lillie Marie.
Like Crissy said.. better in numbers.
Jude's kept at the hospital for now. They can't give him a full body scan as he can't keep still for at least 3 hours.
There are 5 doctors attending to him now. So must be some serious stuff.. and ex is not too good with explanations.
Sis Kathy.. you asked why not Tulane? Well it seems that 2 private doctors that the family know very well seriously recommended UMC N.O.
They said they have the best specialists for Jude's case there. And they'd lose their patients if they openly recommend UMC.
Cookie, your great nephew looks like he has a happy disposition!
Every 2 weeks, Stacey?? Poor you, now you have to learn to crochet while you wait. Jonathan could always use new booties each week!!
But I do hope all will go well for you.
As for shaving... do like the French. Go au naturale!!
Oh Marion, that's just too cute. Tell them overseas, there are schools as big as apartment buildings!!! Bet their eyes will go wider!!
Jaye, I've added Jude to my prayers list as well.
I was so sad with all those who are in need of prayers and loving support.
So when that happens, I lit a fire and made offerings for many, many DG friends. I've got a candle lit for daytime, and at 6:00 sharp will have my fire going.
I just don't know what to say sometimes, so best I have a prayer session, God is listening, may His will be done.
And may all who are hurting find some comfort...
Just know I am here, listening, crying and Praying.
Love you Lil Injun...you're such a sweetheart!
(((((((((((((((((Judy)))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks so much for your diligence in talking to Him!!
Oh Linda Kay, I hate so badly to hear that....I will be saying extra prayers, and for Jude too. It is hard sometimes to just give it to the Lord but that is all we can do....I hope you are all having a lovely day, besides burning up, lol! I do believe I'm about to stomp my foot and let it all burn up.....I am convinced I cannot live another year with out a sprinkler system...even if hubby and I have to install ourselves. I cannot continue to keep anything alive by hand watering 2 1/2 hours a day in this heat every summer, I just cannot do it physically....now to save up the pennies for supplies....
Stacy ,way was for his mother to he is just like his Dad rather like his dad was ..i have been doing yard work to ,i do not feel like it i hurt bad but i have to do only us two.. we will see whats the treatment or surgery for prostrate next also anything puts him down..
i answered on the other one before meant to go to this one so its on yesterday column. sorry..
everyone be well ,safe, happiness ,prayers..
Prayers are going out for those in need
Yes I am a lil busy wtih AFS I have 3 kids left to find homes for before next weds. and With God's help they will step up.
I will tell BJ to pop in and no I am not pushing her to host this year she wants to take a break and I respect that.
I know it's not alot of help for finding home but I am firm believer that family comes first .... you have to take care of you and yours first.
As for me and the sternum its slowly healing I guess I have good nights and bad nights for sleeping. I can sleep on my right side but not my left as I usually do and no heavy lifting or turning certain ways at times...but I do not sleep laying totally down its more of an incline otherwise I can't get out of bed LOL
It's really interesting to find all the things we do on a daily basis that you never really think about using your chest muscles yet you do.
As for doing crafts yes and no on put on hold ...the quilt yes as I still need to get more material for in between the blocks...stained glass I have some crosses I need to redo but not in the mood for them right now either
I did get a small chain saw with a 10" blade but haven't been able to use it yet until I know I can hold it and not ache.
Now as for MY Millie maid M she is doing good she is learning still to come when called and is pretty much house broke and she plays with Jack BJ's beagle well too when they meet 3 wks ago.
She is rotten as can be thanks to my DH they nap together almost everyday, he lets her lick the cereal bowl and saves her lil things for a treat after meals and if we go out to eat he insists that we bring home a lil left over for her and Harley to have.
She travels real well in the car too as she has gone up home with us to visit family and even went to TN with us to the brother in laws last weekend and went and sat in the boat while I fished off the dock.
Oh and by the way as some of you remember I had asked for prayers awhile back in regards to the step son here well he has gone back up to Rockford area and is around his mother and brother.
Oh thank you for the update on my baby, Millie. I can only imagine how spoiled she is--but that is okay. LOL
Please take care of yourself, hard way to find out all the muscles one uses in the body. Is it like broken ribs? Not much they can do but restrictions and rest?
Do tell BJ hello and we miss her.
Good luck with finding homes for your students--if I were closer, Kim and I would love to have one but alas it is just to far.
Hello everyone. Lillie is no longer with us! She passed away about 10 minutes ago! I am going to copy and paste to other threads, and I am off to bed!
Love you all for the prayers!
LK
Jesus needs another angel, LK.
((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))
In her short time here, she's one well loved child, even by those that haven't seen her.
Praying He carries you and your family through this grief.
Oh LK, so sorry to hear that.
LK-I am so sorry. I cannot imagine what her mother and father are going through at the moment. I don't pray, but have been sending out positive thoughts that I will now shift to helping them to cope. Luv U.....
LK, So sorry, sending T&P's to you and the family. I hope y'all can take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord now.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Iknow she is in a much better place now, I know we will all miss her too! But she is with God, and is HIS litle angel!
Amen to that LK
Heavens will hear Lillie's laughter ^_^
We're off to a crafts show, and I'm looking forward to getting another Menzer's junk to treasure piece.
http://acpeddler.com/cottageville_santa.htm
As for Kel, I'm sure he'll try to find something unique for the garden too. Too bad his favorite folk artists won't be there.
Not looking forward to the walking as the show is held at the convention center in Myrtle Beach. At least there will be chairs lined up on one side of the wall :D
Have a good Saturday everyone.
