There are so many people scamming these days. my SIL almost got scammed out of $3200. He was looking at some waverunners on ebay. The people said that they lived in Las Vegas, would pay the shipping charges all he had to do was send the money Western Union. ebay does not do Western Union. Luckily a friend brought that to his attention. Then there has been another scam on Craig's list. People looking at a house to rent, sent the money, then the scammers reposted the pix of a house and scammed some more people. Who in their right mind would send money for a house that they have not looked at??? STUPID!!!

I sure hope your SIL notified Ebay Cindy.

Another thing in the news last week. people are advertising houses for sale or rent, someone comes to purchase or rent, and months later they are finding out it is a house that has been repossed by the bank!
Some jerks are re-keying the house, and acting as if it is theirs! So be careful when doing things like this.

Sistah.. I believe you'd be replaced double and that guy, for every dollar he stole, he'd lose double! Apparently he haven't heard of Karma!!

Yea there was something on the news about these people went on vacation. They were gone for like months. They came home and found this guy living in their house. They asked him what he was doing in their house. He said it was his that he had bought it for $14,000.00. This house was worth $500,000.00. He even had a fake deed. They people found all of their funiture in basement and garage. They are back in the house but are still having a hard time getting that fake deed dealt with.

Sad for those like us who take people at the word...hate to think we have to mistrust everyone..not you all though..lol

We went to Eureka Springs this past weekend for a wedding, the wedding was 9 miles west of town at a place called The Retreat at Sky Ridge http://retreatatskyridge.com/ nothing fancy, hardly any decorations or anything, just a place to have a 10 minute ceremony and some good bbq. Dave got to see some people he has never met before, plus friends he's had for 40+ years and I got to see people I haven't seen in a year or so, we had a great time. I rented us a cabin at Arkansas White River Cabins http://whiterivercabins.com/ we had cabin #6. It was between town and the wedding site. We went to town Friday night after we got there and ate some good food, checked out the town, then went back on Saturday as the wedding didn't start until 4pm, to see the sites. I brought my camera to download the pictures but I forgot the cable, so that was a futile effort LOL!

Cindy-that guy was obviously a moron-buying a house for 14,000 that isn't about to be condemned....and if it was in CA that makes him doubly dumb.....

I did have a great weekend, I want to go back but Dave wants to penny pinch, so we'll see who wins, I'm going to wait til this heat subsides before I go anywhere else.

It's so pretty up there I want to go back with a girlfriend, but Dave got notice today that his unemployment benefits ran out and if he wants to get the extension he needs to get down there and apply for them, he said he's going to do that tomorrow, so I'm not going to be shopping for decorations for my office quite yet, I should know if he gets the extension or not by Friday, right? I want to go garage saleing Saturday morning.

Dogs, well pets in general, can really stop you from doing certain things, like traveling and weekend trips and what-not. When Tiga (Teega) passes there will be no more pets for awhile. That sucks Sue! Can't play with the I-pad!!! I'd be very upset about that!
