Well of course you do debilu ^_^ Sometimes there is another important feature to mention like with my true luv's truck. He got 'a Charcoal one with a steppy thing'. Very important when you are wearing a skirt and heels to have a steppy thing I find.
Fall RU in Ma
Yes steppy things are quite useful!
LOL....you should be a car or truck salesperson, Dnut...I would actually buy something from you!
Thanks, wha, but I sure don't remember what the route # was. Will definitely get my gps figured out, or have Peggy come along to guide me.
Glad you have a new car, Bill! Sounds like a nice one! Loved Dahlia's car buying posts....I'd buy one from her too! LOL
I just updated the list of who's coming on the Food thread. We now are up to 23 definites if my count is correct. If it isn't, please dmail me!! Are any of you "possibles" now definites???? Let me know that too, please! Hank said that with our good turnout, if everyone brings Bill a respectable boulder, he'll be rivaling the Great Wall after we leave! LOL
Holly and Ric - your NC vacation and your other travels sound great! I do hope you can squeeze in a trip to Bill's to put you in the right frame of mind for the rest of the travels! LOL We'd all enjoy meeting you both! I know I'm really looking forward to meeting those of you whom I haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person yet! We have enjoyed those we have met at the other RUs very much!
Holly, sounds like you and Ric will be having a really fun vacation.
John, love your bird shot! That is so cool! Oh, btw, I love the book you brought for the raffle table at my RU. A very good read. And thanks to you both for the crocosmia. Will try and get it planted this weekend, though I don't know where it's going yet.
Tower Hill is a great place. I will be going there the second Sat. of Aug. for the New England Daylily Society meeting.
LOL! Cousin Nut, very cute!
Karen
Hi everyone. I made my plane reservations for NC end of August, so I'll definitely be coming (barring unforeseen circumstances). I don't know yet what I'm bringing for food, but wonder if there'll be a plant swap thread. I'd like to know what plants people are looking for as well as what they're bringing, so I can bring plants that people want if possible.
there will be a plant swap, we just have not started the thread yet as it is still early.
That's good to hear, but where do y'all get your priorities? After all, what's more important - food or plants (food for the soul)?
I can answer the priorities question, Sharon. It has been my experience and others that it requires too many edits (you are limited to a small number each day) to keep up with all the changes that people make in the plant swap thread if it is done too early. That's why we didn't do it 2 months ahead. I will start the plant swap thread soon, since it would be helpful in your situation.
Here is a link to the Plant Swap thread for those who wish to list what plants they are looking for and what plants they have to share:

Thanks, Louise. I didn't mean to be pushy, and didn't realize it would be a major embarkment requiring lots of edits! I periodically have "cheap perennial sales" over the growing season, when I have lots of divisions dug, so I was just hoping to get a good idea of what to keep for the swap and what to get rid of.
Not a problem at all, Sharon. I understand and think the time is right. I'll wait for people to talk about who wants what a bit and then I'll update the lists on the Plant Swap thread. What is important for now is that people have a place to discuss their wants/haves. Thanks for the suggestion!
Louise
Sure thing!
You folks are very quite over here, is there something you could say or do to keep Bill on his toes. Like Bill I need your address to make arrangements for delivery of the 300 ton boulder.
schickenlady there must be some thing you would like to say ??
Bill I have a question for you. Are you Going Green and Gardening Organically ?
Does any one mind if I invite some people who are not members of Dave's Garden?
Have a good Night,
John

I am making no promises at all...I just googled mapped from my city to Bill's, it's a mere 5.5 hour drive...lol...Mark me down as tentative please. I'm off that weekend, and since I'm newly single, I have no plans at all.
So I will be coming along solo.
Hmmm...I will add something to the other posts.
just got through reading the three ru posts after beeing away for a few days - things are starting to heat up.
thx louise for helping out!!
not really green here john although we do not over do it. as far as folks outside dg, i would prefer we keep this to a dg event. i was tempted to invite some friends myself and decided not too.
and what kind of rock? just dug or covered with lichens?
thom i will dmail back to you.
My pleasure, Bill! I'll do my best to update the food and plant threads each day.
Thom - I'm very happy to hear you "might" be coming! That's great!
John - how tall is that sunflower????? OMG!!!
Louise its about 14 feet and still going. Some other blossoms developing now.
Bill The guy selling me the Boulder mentioned something about a mount siniad, hard to understand him he does not speak english. Also mentioned something about an old boat or goat.

Wow, John! So, you'll be bringing roasted sunflower seeds to the RU??? LOL
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RU WILL BEGIN AT 11:00 AM AND EVERYONE SHOULD PARK ALONG THE ROAD IN FRONT OF BILL'S HOUSE (HIS SIDE OF THE STREET ONLY, PLEASE). THEY WILL BE USING THEIR DRIVEWAY TO SET UP THE FOOD AND PLANT SWAP.
Wow, what a sunflower! Now you've got me trying to remember what happened when Jack climbed the beanstalk.
very cool
just thought i'd throw up a post for john.
Louise,
meant to tell you that Angela is not only our daughter and a guest but also a member. She just renewed again a few days ago :-)
Her member name is midnight1.
John, that sunflower is a winner, for sure! Hope to see you, Thom......
Wow that has to be the biggest sunflower I've ever seen!
wow amazing.. have to email Randy that post
Wow - that is incredible. Or John has really shrunk. ^_^
How has it survived the wind?? If I had that, I know that there would be some giant animal munching on it. New dinosaur or something.
that is a huge sunflower john!!
more like honey I shrunk John!!!
Needs to be entered in a fair!
Help! I cannot access DG from my computer....for days now, but can from my phone. I don't know what to try... Any ideas what the problem could be???
