or come to think of it, I think he meant he was in fact holding himself to a standard of no weeds! Wow......impressive! I sure didn't follow that mandate here! lol

Fall RU in Ma
I urge someone with a van or truck to bring a shopping cart and deposit it right smack dab in the middle of Bill's driveway.
I was wondering the same thing ?
Inside joke.....Bill has shopping cart rage, but there are times when I feel the same!
lately it is people leaving their cars doors open oblivious to traffic
I was in a busy parking lot the other day and there was only one spot not taken (except for the handicapped spots) so I drove to that spot and started to pull in. That's when I saw a lady sitting in her car with her door flung wide open so that she could sit sideways in her seat while talking on her cell phone with one hand and trying to tie her shoes with the other hand. I thought maybe by pulling halfway into the spot I would give her a head's up and she'd do the right thing and pull the door at least partially closed so I could park but she just gave me a dirty look and introduced me to one of her fingers.
Now THAT'S nerve!
Wow...I had folks stand in the parking spot I was trying to get into the other day (with my 95 yr old Mom).... they did not move, & neither did I....my Mom was going to say something nasty, but I gave them the "death" look.
i just a small beep of the horn to let them know they were in the way of traffic - would have drove within an inch of the door if that lady gave the finger to me though
marilyn i want to see what that looks like:) hard time believing you could do that.
After teaching seventh graders it comes easy!
now i understand:)
:)
Wow, I can't believe the nerve of some people!
Oh, don't tell Bill, but I'm going to secretly bring over some weeds, plant them in the garden while no one is looking, and then take some pics of them. HA!!!!!
Karen
LOL Karen!!!!
I am going to be able to come to this one! :) I promise not to plant any weeds or dig up any JMs! lol
Oh, party pooper!
Karen
Ha ha ha I figure he's gonna be weeding for a year after everyone else is done with him! lol ;)
LOL!
That's GREAT, Meredith! I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Sherrie, you can come & throw lupine seeds in my garden anytime....can't get the little devils to grow!
No fair!
Speaking of lupines, do you think I can start some seeds now (after nicking and soaking them) and plant the seedlings before we leave for the winter? What do you Lupinites think???? lol
Louise,
that white Lupine is stunning !!!
Isn't it pretty, Brigitte!? I bought the plant last summer and it was supposed to be a red lupine. I wasn't disappointed that it was white. It lasted a long time too.
I don't know the answer but while I was typing I thought I hope she is keeping the seeds ;-)) ..if you can start them already I "need" one hahaha
I used to have Lupines at the Farmhouse and they readily grew from seed all over the place but I haven't startet any at all myself and I know they are very hard to transplant due to the long tap root.
louise just cover the seeds a bit and let them do there thing.
oooh, cool! I'll just pick where I want them to grow and put some seeds there....I guess that's the snowbird's method of wintersowing! LOL
Love the white lupin, Louise! I had a gorgeous red one this year, but a heavy rain knocked most of it down and I had to stake it. I'm saving seeds.
Karen
I'm planning to come with Debilu(my little sister), she says it will be a great time
great!!
i know you need to stay over i suggest checking out Nashua, NH for hotels
That's great, SJR!! I'm so looking forward to meeting you and seeing Debi again. I hope you enjoy yourself.......you are coming to a pretty place with lots of nice, friendly people, so just plan to relax and enjoy it all! The food is also hard to beat! LOL
Bill has decided he'd like to do a Raffle, everyone, so please plan to bring a raffle gift if you want to participate. They are always fun, and if you have never participated in one, you can bring just about anything garden related, from a nice plant to garden supplies to books, pretty pots, hand-made note cards, potting soil - just to name a few memorable ones from my perspective. The point is not to spend a lot of money for a gift, but instead to bring something you have that you think someone else would enjoy. Bought things are fine, but not at all necessary or expected.
Thanks Bill, anything nearby we should see or do before heading back on Sunday?
Louise I was just telling my sister (Sue) I made note cards for your RU as a raffle last year. It will be a great time.
Debi - I love those cards; they are so pretty and everyone I've sent one to has had nice comments about them! :) I'm so happy you and your sister are coming!!
Me too, since I'll miss you at JoAnn's this year! Can I raffle off an airedale?
