Fall RU in Ma
No problem...if it's yellow let it mellow if it's brown flush it down
I'm going to stop at the Dunkin Donuts close to your house and Hank has already been told to find a very large JM to visit. If you put up a duck blind by that pond, you may be able to get it filled up by the end of the RU......lol
eeeewwwww.
Now I really am sorry I'm missing this one - I would love to pee on one of Bill's treasures! Or maybe in the granite lantern??
Are the neighbors friendly, Bill?
can see the headlines now...
"Dave's Garden members arrested at D.G. round-up for indecent exposure in Pepperell ,Mass."
Free prize for the incontinent!
depends
Ugh!!
This is bad...I have a teeny bladder...will try to get to DDs, but am NOT using a tree! Safe & happy travel everyone...see you tomorrow!
I'm not ready for that phase of life yet, Debi!! LOL
I will not be above taking a walk down Bill's country road with a roll of toilet paper in hand. I'll bring enough to share with you, Marilyn - and for any other teeny bladders!
Thank you!
I can always spare a square. :)
oh and we have to work on ... it's not my truck anymore... if I am allowed to take rocks up with me
celeste i will show brian where i go when outside - it's a guy thing :)
we will be alright marilyn - i hope - guess i should have had everyone dancing yesterday!
looking forward to tomorrow
Fun is guaranteed.....never yet been to a boring RU! Hey, is Sherrie coming?
I have ants in the pants.. Jen & Weeze are not going to be here until 7 - 7:30
I'm on my way : ) It seems I am running a half hour later than I wanted to! Sorry but I will be there! : )
Hello, everyone. As you probably have figured out by now, I'm not showing up. I have a scraping noise in the front end of my car and have to get it checked. Sounds bad, but maybe it's only brakes. Anyhow, I thought it best that I don't drive it way up there when it's like this. I'm taking it in Monday to have it checked out.
If I had come, it would have been just myself and Dad, as my friend Karen has been sick with pneumonia. She also took a fall in her garden over a month ago while trying to dig up a huge pokeweed, and she caused a lot of muscular damage in her shoulder. She's finally feeling better from that, but was in pain for weeks. She has really been bummed out, as she has not been able to do any gardening since her fall, and the weeds have taken over. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for me.
I'm sure everyone has been having a great time at the RU today, and I wish I was there. It would have lifted my spirits. For some reason I've been out of sorts lately and my desire for gardening has gone way down. I haven't even checked in on DG in over a week, and that's not like me. I'm sure I'll snap out of it soon enough. I have to get myself to get out and do some work today, even though I just don't feel like doing it.
I look forward to hearing how the RU went and seeing everyone's pics. Take care, guys!
Karen
sorry you couldn't make it karen
Hi Karen. So sorry you couldn't make it and that you are feeling so down. I hope things turn around for you very soon. I also hope your friend Karen recovers soon. We missed you. Bill and Cindy outdid themselves in providing the nicest possible RU and I know everyone enjoyed it just as much as Hank and I did. Thank you Bill and Cindy - for all of your hard work and everything you did to make us all feel so welcomed. Your home and gardens are too beautiful to miss and the day was just perfect. It was so great to see everyone who came. And thank you, Bill, for making this wonderful birdhouse for me.....it is already set up behind the stone wall at our BBQ pit area! It's great! What a lovely surprise! I'll post photos after our guests leave tomorrow, if not sooner! Thanks to everyone for the nice plants and good food and great company too!
So glad to hear everyone had such a good time. Thanks for posting pics, Louise, and I look forward to seeing more.
Didn't do much gardening today, but I did spend about an hour digging DL's to ship to DG members. Tomorrow's another day. I'm having a hard time breathing now due to my asthma, which always effects me this way every year. I'm fine throughout spring and summer.
Karen
Just back from my reunion. Had a great time and I see you guys did too! I'm enjoying the pics so far! Wish I could have been there.
Here's a link to the photo thread I started. Please add your photos on this thread.

Victor - glad you had a nice reunion day too! We missed you and Sherrie and Patti and Karen and Thom and Brigitte! Next year!!!.....
Karen sorry to hear about your car and asthma! Life has a way of throwing bad stuff at us all at once doesn't it!? I was hoping to meet you, too bad you couldn't make it! Hopefully I will be able to make it to your next RU if you have one. I love DLs and would love to see all your beauties! Bill and Cindy's was amazing. I love how they have all the different sections. I especially love all the vines! I wish I had more room for that Sweet Clematis! : ) It also inspired me to get out and weed! Lol Not one weed to be found! Did someone manage to plant some weeds in there while Bill wasn't lookin? Oh wait wasn't that supposed to be your job Karen? You'll have to do it next time! lol :)
meredith i will never have another ru if weeds are part of the deal :)
i did find some mutant clover hiding in sedum after everyone left - the weeds are adapting - it is a war!!
Cindy and I want to thank everyone that came to the ru today. We really enjoyed showing everyone our gardens! Well actually Cindy enjoyed my opportunity to show everyone the gardens :)
A special thank you again to louise for handling all the dg threads for the ru!
And finally my condolences to Hank- who came to my home horse shoe court (where i am undefeated one on one) with a tape measure, his own picAnic horse shoes and with copies of horse shoe rules. Doubting the distance between the stakes he breaks out the tape messure - 40' exact his head shaking - then he wastes a practice throw by hitting a ringer (which he later claims should count) - then bouncing another 10' short of the pit off the wood pit edge within inches of a second ringer (you guessed it he wanted this to count too even if it was not a ringer) - home court rules here are you need to land in the pit and hit no wood (he was almost jumping up and down by now) - he still started the match with a ringer - alas at the end i am still undefeated. maybe next time?
Oh heck, Bill,we want to thank you and Cindy for being such a wonderful host and hostess. A great group of people, wonderful food, ( Celeste, the pumpkin bread is delicious!) Things that make me jealous in a wonderful way......GREEN LUSH GRASS, "how many JMs do I have?" Rock walls, tiered gardening, and a love for it all.....
Finally,I would like to REALLY thank all at the finale who did not laugh more than I did when I tried to cleverly cram things into my car...Oops.
yes thank you Bill & Cindy!!!!... it was a great day and totally worth the trip!!
Hank is crying "FOUL!!!!!!" and something about "self-serving rules" and some disparagement about Bill's new birthday "$5,000.00 shoes" and "If the home rule rejected ringer stood, Hank would have won......Protest papers have been filed...." When Hank was interviewed he noted that "It was like playing in a kangaroo court... and the ringer Bill tried to bring in (Nello) fully agreed with Hank."
His final red-cheeked quote of the morning: "Seeya next year!!!!!!!!!!!!"
LOL - Fabulous time, Bill and Cindy!!!
ut oh.. and Victor you have to install a horseshoe pit
:)
Bill's so tired this morning, a smiley face is all he can muster up the strength to do! Yeah, right....I'll bet he's planted all the RU plants left over from the Swap already!! LOL
I prefer bocce.
How did the plumbing challenge work out?? Anyone bounced for flushing?
