will get Jeff to fix it then I'll check how to put a password...Crissy, I would rather go without computer than to hurt their feelings...I'm just going to mention to Darlene that I have to remove some of the programs because they aren't compatible...
Someone also told me if they added different kinds of anti virus they would fight each other .. of late it takes about 15 minutes just to open the internet..this morning I couldn't.. Jeff sat at the computer for a few minutes this morning and did something, told me to leave it do it's thing till I got home tonight so I'll be patient..it's a drag being without a computer in the evening and early morning....so used to having access to you all..lol
Best/Worse & What did I learn today..visit with friends
Yeah, you can't have more than one anti virus running at the same time. They will butt heads!
Hopefully no one will come to your house today, and stop what he is trying to do?
he told me that I (imagine telling mommy this) am too impatient, said with the anti virus that is on the system that one has to wait for it to go through it's entire process before clicking anything..I think it's freezing and sometimes shut it off then it has to do it's thing again...instructions on proper computer usage will be given to me shortly...
Betty - I am going to quilt shop today - are you still looking for soluable thread?
Yes, a Password!!! I completely forgot about passwords! Betty that's really easy to set up. My problem is if she's so computer literate she would know what's compatible and what isn't. You have to know what guts someone has in their computer before you install stuff, not a good idea to go at it blind. Wonder if she's looked at your compatibility. All she has to do is read the side of the box that the program came in, and if she doesn't have a box and doesn't know anything about the program other than it's uses, then she shouldn't be using it herself, let alone installing it on someone else's computer. I don't blame you not wanting to hurt feelings, I wouldn't want to do that either. I'm like a firecracker sometimes, when someone's crossed the line, they've crossed the line. I'm the type of person that will put up with something for so long and that's it, I'm done, and when I'm done, I'm seriously done. Here at work my co-worker keeps calling me whining about not wanting to be at work, not wanting to do the work, and wants me to find out what's going on with the budget cuts and tell her if she's going to lose her job. I've listened to it all week so this afternoon sometime I'm going to have to do something about it. If you hate the job that bad then leave, there's the door, don't be calling me whining at me that you don't want to be here, I really don't care! What's hard about it is she is a nice girl but I have to make a business decision, not a personal decision. What really sucks is I'm the only one she's whining to, but I can't jeopardize my job because of her problems. Life's about choices.
Sorry for the rant! LOL!!!

Oooh boy Crissy, you are having quite a time..how long before you know who is affected by the cut??? tomorrow Dave has his interview then I guess it's wait for the outcome right...wouldn't that be wonderful for him to get it, as you say, he's very well qualified!
Barb, am still looking for soluble thread, lol here, got to try and remember why if was looking for it...ahhh just came to me...a different type of applique...could you check and see for me..I'd send you $$$ for it and shipping... Barb, your card arrived yesterday for Ann..will call her and let her know it's on the kitchen counter for p.u. - she's thrilled each and every time she received one..
A/C repairman is here, hopefully before too long we'll be chilly...
Betty, what kind of applique?
Betty, I don't know, I'm not worried about it, more worried about Dave not getting the job than I am about myself, tell me if that's not retarded! LOL I have a strong feeling he will get it though. He should have early hours too given the position he's applying for. We were talking last night and he thinks he'll work 6am to 2:30pm or something. That would be AWESOME!!!!!
I hope that doesn't cost a lot to fix it!
It's called the Mederia technique..quite an interesting process..
You can view on the following link IF I have the correct link..

Those would be great hours Crissy..that's about what Jim my step father works and he loves it, although it means early to bed...
Couldn't download all the photo's I took last night Crissy, wanted to show you the places we visited in Penetang looking from the lakefront...
Maybe tonight...have to get Greg to pick me up and go get Jeff's truck in Port Severn where he's leaving it today, oh boy, get to drive a trick and pick up all kinds of goodies for 3 weeks..
Last night both Greg and Jeff were looking at my 'outhouse' for lack of better description, Greg wanted to know where this piece of art was going..told him in the further corner of the yard under the trees where it won't easily be seen..he couldn't grasp that concept, why would I make something that can't be seen, why not leave it close to where it is now...nope, want it to be hidden and only seen if you are walking the yard and come across it..thinks I've lost it...lol Jeff, he just says whatever...
Oh Look Out Canadian Tire!! ROFLOL!!!
lol you got me down pat Crissy!
ok, got rid of the virus protection program the girls installed and also weather channel..yikes, what a difference..back to high speed..now, going to check if I'm able to download my photo's from last night..couldn't do it this morning..
I'm doing the happy dance..lol
Just too excited about having my computer system up and running like it did before...yippee
Making a spaghetti sauce, not sure why in this heat, but thought with me being on the run this weekend that it would be good to have just incase someone needs fed...
Everyone must be busy/busy...
Hope you enjoy your evening....
Where is our Tubby, haven't heard from him in two days!
Crissy...I am VERY upset with you. Gave me your bug, I am sure it is an "internet virus" thru the keyboard. Went to doc today and have both ears very red and fluid....sinus infection....and the dang swelling!
My head feels like I was hit with a shovel. You know its bad when chocolate won't even help.
Waving hello....enjoying all the adventures and stories
Debbie
Debbie, sorry your not feeling well. Hope you got some good meds, that will work quickly?
Betty, those pictures are so pretty.
Well Debbie! My word girl, you've got to get feeling better! I never got stuffed up like that! I'm still coughing like a fiend, but that's because of my chronic bronchitis caused by some sort of asthmatic whatever. lol I guess I'm going to have to shell out some dough and get an Advair Discus. Ug.
Betty love the pics! So glad you got your computer running right again! Yes, the two anit-viruses were running against each other. Why would anyone...well...never mind, just going to shake my head here.
Have a glorious night everyone!
Night Crissy, sleep tight!
I've been shaking my head a fair bit about the girls messing with your system too, Betty!!! tsk tsk tsk!!!!! (and yet more tsk tsk tsk!!!!!!!)
Betty - That looked like a LOVELY evening with family! Was hoping for a shot of Jeff & GF....but from what I see they look like a lovely couple.... Julie is so tiny...I guess you have to be to fit in those kayaks...they look so small...
Jeff had to find a very special gal who could brave what he did last year....
Hope you can find a way to get others off your computer. I got so tired of teens on mine...we had a rule that they had to 'ask' permission to get on mine. Then they got their own ...but I've noticed DD1 has been sneaking on mine... that's okay...she forgets and leaves her Facebook up so I'm looking through it... LOL
But ...that is a thought... if it is the gal who helps you out so much with grass cutting, etc....maybe you can say... "I'm having problems w/ MY computer and needed to setup a password because all the memory is almost gone... SO got you a laptop for you to use "
I've seen them as low as $400.....
Debbie - Sinus problems! When mine get bad ...as this week... I head to the chiropractor and let him know... I swear I was breathing clearly when I left... I know that sounds crazy and probably not appropriate for an infection... but it worked for me...
Waving "Hello" to everyone and will try to pop back on in a bit...
Hugs,
Mary
Thank you and big hugs to whomever it was that paid for my subscription renewal, I will now be able to continue to chat ^_^
Oh Thunder, how wonderful..been missing you..how's the quilting going?
Don't have long to chat until I get to work, just ame downstairs to get my DG fix..makes me feel on top of the world knowing you are just as far as the keyboard...
As for the computer, will leave a note saying that because I've an older computer there isn't much memory so had to delete all the programs until I get a new one...am sure that's all that is required..no, it wasn't Cathy who played with computer, she sticks to grass...came home last night and she had it all done again so l'll be able to spend some time digging up a new garden near back deck tonight..will stop in at a few nurseries on my way home, need a few shrubs to start me off...
Betty-can you send Cathy my way-have some cleaning to do and my weeds are a lost cause;) Nice pics!!!
Hey Betty-do you have any dragons in your embroidery program?? I've seen all these cute embroidered dragons on things on Ebay and wondered if you had any designs??
Stacey I will check..got mega files but haven't paid much attention to what they are...
Debbie, sure hope you are feeling better today as well..think my dear you are always looking after everyone else and you are run down, that's how you are catching everything under the sun...wow..sounds terrible, doubt mine was as bad as what you've got....keep well..sending hugs
Crissy, saying a prayer for Dave this morning....
Thank you Betty. Can you say a prayer for me to while your doing it, today is the day, and I think ya'll know what I'm talking about.
Saying prayers for Crissy, and family.
Prayers for you, and your DH, Crissy ^_^
Been so good talking to you, and you're a real "Love"
We're supposed to be leaving to go tenting on Sunday after church, but it looks like a soggy expedition - 40 to 60% chance of rain every day, and up to 5mm......
We shall see what happens.......
Just popping in for a bit before we get ready to start our vacation. Most of the kids' things are packed, now it's just getting the adult stuff done and a bit of cleaning.
I'm so glad we didn't leave as soon as school was out. For the past couple of weeks I've been enjoying all of my peonies and tiger lilies, I've missed them the past couple of years. My daylilies just started a couple of days ago. We'll see what things are like when we get back.
We're heading out on Sunday after church - tenting in Waterton. Hoping the forecast is wrong - they say 40-60% chance of rain, and 1-2 mm each day with 2 days having up to 5 mm.... (6mm in an inch, I think)
Have a terrific vacation, Gillibean!!
