Victor, halfway to Acadia ^_^. I'm in the 1920 Cottage I told you about. It's located in Stockton Springs, Maine...a sleepy little town with lots of charm and quiet.
This place is above me, http://www.rfpmaine.com/splash.php on the cliff to my left. Very impressive, however, I love this cottage for it's simplicity and serenity. It's called Driftwood Cottage on Sandy Point, in Stockton Springs, Maine. I pass the "Retreat" on my way to the cottage, wich s located at the bottom of a dirt road. The road ends on the beach and the only access is to walk 200 feet across the beach to the cottage. Or decend 260-something stairs that are lovingly bulit and cared for. Secluded enough?

Any beach will do. The town asked people not to fill their swimming pools and not water lawns. No mandatory - just asking.

Not raining here as of yet, but cloudy, & air is heavy. Pixie, wonderful vacation place, just what I like.

Yeah got some rain last night around 10pm that dropped a half inch of water on the garden. Hoping for more showers later today. Partly sunny right now, muggy and the temp is 75 degrees. Slight west wind.

Glad you got the rain, Sarge. We had a very intense shower...I was traveling a state highway going uphill......rivers of water were coming downhill...the speed limit is 50, cars were doing 30...where the the road leveled out it was flooded.....by the time I reached the end of the hill, it was only raining lightly.

After a much needed rain-soaked Friday, today is an absolutely salubrious Saturday in WNY. 81 degrees with 30% humidity and winds about 15mph. Perfect.

Between 1 & 2 inches of rain this afternoon (with noises so I shut off the computer). Probably the same system which Bill had as he is north of us.

We finally got some wonderful rain for several hours today. Things are looking green and lush again! Yippppeeee!

Funny, I can get into DG, but can't access Google gmail. Very odd. I went a lot of the day without the internet because it was raining....worth it though, in this case!

I weeded this afternoon, & the garden was dry several inches down....all that rain must have stayed in the town to the north...my rain barrel though is full.

We got nothing after the pitiful .05 this AM.

Well a little over a half an inch total of rain according to weather bug, that's it, better than nothing though. I will check my gauge when I go out later. Not much more rain yesterday. A shower or two but no heavy rain as they had predicted. Sun is back out and the temp is 68 degrees with a north wind. Should be in the mid 80s today.

72*F, breezy with sun a nice respite from last weeks infernal heat. I'm not sure how much rain we got, need to get a gauge, but weeding was easier and penetration looked pretty good. I tried to use it to our advantage and deep soak somethings. Ric

Bright and sunny with a nice breeze, not so muggy, nice. Temp 76 degrees. Checked the rain gauge and it reads just over half inch. The weeds seem to have doubled in size overnight however. Another chance for rain mid week and a slight chance everyday in the afternoon of a pop-up shower.

Hot and humid again. 83 with 61% H.

79° and a breeze Wish it was steady rain yesterday, but several downpours. However it measured 2.25" and when DH stuck the cape cod weeder in the ground the water had penetrated to the depth of the blade to the handle.

Since May 7th, I've only had 3.85 inches of rain!
