Hi Betty and Everyone!
Geesh, I been a very busy bee...Joyce gifted me with all kinds of plantings. So first thing I did when we got home, get them all in a temporary holding bins and watered well. Before we left, I started to weed the small bed, that was in the works, so had to get it weeded out for all the planting. lol after that I was thoroughly exhausted! So, I sat and read, finished my book and actually took a nap.
Today, I have been out all day planting...Oh Betty, I see you have been inspired as well. What a great idea about your little creek!
Anthony and Julia were discussing having a pond in the back yard, we shall see.
Crissy, Can't wait to see all your pictures! Hurry, hurry.
Mary, Breenie just had the interview yesterday. But the woman who did the interview said she got good vibes from her. She was going to send her application to the home. The place, is a Senior Citizen residence. Breenie will be helping in the cafeteria, cleaning, helping people with their food trays keeping the buffet filled, etc. Gotta say I am highly impressed! They will call her soon to take a drug test
It's part time...I am sure your son will do well, Kids are all about money these days sooo, want to get paid, do a good job. Here is what I have to say about working landscape, It is hard work! You know that being a gardener. He should definatley put it on his resume and being that they called him back on and off, shows that he did a great job! Not to mention, can use the people for a work reference.
Hey, Debbie, how are you doing? I wasn't ignoring you, lol you know me always behind and then remember I haven't replied, sooner or later. But, I just want to say. I am so glad you still remember having a great time at my house! We did have a great visit, We were so glad you came, and I hope you come again. Next year I am hosting the Sistah gathering...We gotta get you and Mary together!!
OH and guess what! Bill, Joyce's DH, took my last RC, called Joyce to say buy some to replace, LOL later in the afternoon he was having one and told me I turned him on to RC! I always think of you when I have my occasional RC and how happy you were to have one too, lol even took a picture, too cute.
Thunder, that was a funny lil story, lolol loved the ending.
Anyway, I have to scoot got to get on my laundry, sigh...some break.
OH, I didn't take that many pictures because I forgot to unload camera, hint, hint Crissy. LOL...But here is a nice one of Joyces waterfall.
ROFLOL, I am "not" normally that pushy, lol I'm pulling a Liz! (ha, maybe she'll come out and play now...)
Gillean, OH My, best of luck to DH finding a job, and close to Betty too! Woohoo.
Best/Worse & What did I learn today..visit with friends!
Oh Judy, that is so pretty! Love the waterfall, and all the beautiful plants in and around it! Very nice. Does it keep the mosquitoes around?
What kind of tree is it? Love the water lilies. They are so pretty! Are there fish in cookies pond besides the new blue koi?
Beautiful photo's and yes Joyce and Birdie's yards were spectacular...showed all my photo's to Denny and Darlene this afternoon, I had picked up 8 crazy daisies perrenials for Darlene so they came over for an hour..I was going on and on about the gardens, funny, Ann and Cathy were here as well, they gave me the what for, said that gardens reflect ones personality and told me I could add to it but not change my gardens...hmmmm..shall I listen????
have an entire firepit full of weeds, some wildflowers are so pretty that I hated to pull them out but thought the beds were getting a little too thick..Denny is a photographer so she brought her camera and took photo's, said she's going to do me an album...I'll enjoy that...
This afternoon I actually sat for 1/2 hr. just like you Judy then went over to talk to Darren my next door neighbor, omg, he was cleaning up that messy corner, apologized and said it won't be long before all the wood would be burnt and I shouldn't see the eye sore any longer..he's always saying his wife is interested in gardening but I never see her out only see him working his buns off...he also came and did a walk around the garden...
Should go and take a photo of my blue phlox, looking so pretty and unusual..bought a deep pink one yesterday, have it planted..saw about 6 other big masses of phlox and now I'm just waiting for them to bloom as well...
Judy let those kids make a pond, doesn't have to be as big as Joyce's, just enough to hear the sound of moving water....lucky you to be able to bring home some plants..Rick gave me seed and Birdie told me I could have a few beans from a plant so will dry and get the seed from those..have to find out what the name was though..
Pretty water lillies, should put plant life in my pond..yet another thing to do..you sure do get motivated when you see the gorgeous gardens don't you?
LindaKay, all kinds of koi...beautiful..she says her kitties don't bother with them...lucky her..I had koi and the blue herons had lunch until they were all gone...
I'm sitting here at work, should be working but you know, I've got to get these pictures done, and am thinking of Betty's house and oh how I wish I was sitting out in her garden just drinking coffee and chatting away. :*(
So glad you are all back home safe....and sound.
Any interesting GPS stories? Are you two feeling better?
Judy, I never drink an RC that I don't remember you....It makes me smile. When I am having a melt down....DH just goes to the store and finds me one....I have been trying to give up soda....not happening. Sunday was bad....he came home with a two liter bottle!
Love the pictures and the adventures.....
Debbie
Oh Debbie, I'm just to laughing, you'll have to ask Crissy about our GPS adventure and see if she tells you, of course first thing I said was 'Don't think you should be telling Debbie this!' lol but she can..think I'm going to start travelling without her and just buy a map..lordy/lordy wait till you hear...
Sure wish you could have joined us Debbie..you have no idea how often I thought of you..
I've had my bath, in my jammies, going to make another hot drink and just relax now that the bedding has been done, all my Christmas yardage washed and dried so I get get my blocks done and mailed on Monday..go edging and weeding done to the gardens, extended one of them so that I could fit the metal basket in the garden...just charging batteries so if by chance I don't fall asleep I'll go out and take a few photo's...each day more flowers come into bloom, pretty drab on Sunday/Monday when Crissy was here...
Hello To All !
Judy - that sounds like she has the job all wrapped up ! Awesome! Plus that will be very good experience for her..... She can move up quickly in that job...
Is that a Japanese maple at Joyce's pond? DH finally said I could plant one...but he has challenged me so much that they "don't grow around here" that I'd love to find out more about them...
Judy - I'd LOVE to be a part of a sista gathering! I SO should have negotiated myself better vacation time... not sure I could have but I should have tried! Still maybe I can make it ! :)
I've been there almost a year... and ever since I left old *bad* job...they have been advertising for new salepeople. I heard an ad just this morning. Out of about 15 salespeople only 3 are left from this time last year...and the one I talk to the most is "looking"....
I'm so excited to hear about ya'll's fun trip! Betty - I would be SO scared in that tower but would 'make myself' try it. How amazing they can build such an impressive building but we can't get folks who can stop this oil leak.
Gilli - seems you need to plan a trip back!
I'll pop back on in a bit... ((HUGS))
Mary
Judy-so sad I didn't get to see a blooming lily:( But the picture is lovely!! Will keep my fingers crossed for Breenie!!
LK-I think the running water is what keeps the mosquitoes away...
Morning all, seems some of us are just getting back to normal..so glad my plans included 4 days to play before heading back to work..
Barb, got my sewing machine ready to sew, will do my blocks in mini-sewing blocks of time...can you tell me, are all the designs Christmas related? or regular blocks done with Christmas material..having a hard time actually finding Christmas design amongst all of my books...Ann says 'hi'
I've a few projects I want to finish, i.e. mirror in back garden (glue I used just didn't do the trick - so off to find a better glue and re-do) 3rd time is the charm they say...paint up another butterfly like the one we did Stacey, had one left over so might as well get it done and put in back garden...I've the front gardens to edge and weed and then I can relax...like that's going to happen right?
Mary, you must schedule your holidays for 2012 so you can come to Canada and visit with everyone...I'm already planning and it's 2010..lol
Judy, sure hope Breenie gets the job..
Guess you are all planning your July 4th celebrations..doing anything special? Lots of festivities in Midland yesterday but I still wasn't up to par and didn't go..
I was thrilled last night, 2 old friends called, Bob and Barb who owned a motel where Roger used to stay when he was on the road, treated him like family..Bob's a darling but a little strange to most..gab/gab/gab and talks both sides of a conversation..lol..but a DEAR!
Then Harvey, Roger's friend who worked with him..my children always called him Uncle Harvey, he calls from time to time to check up on me, called while I was away to make sure after our tornado we were all fine, I got his message machine when I called to say 'all is well' and I was out in the gardens when he called me back last night so had to return that call...wow, about an hour later we had covered all topics..lol
Old friends are the best aren't they?
Crissy, talked to Bernie last night, didn't have to con him regarding my flower shed...he said he'd be over Sat. (drats had to tell him I was out until afternoon) but that he will drop in this week and do a landing and steps on the deck from the back bedroom you were in and we'd get the shed done...so that's a plus..
As I type I see that all and all I had quite a busy day, friends dropping in and friends calling...guess I should call my boys and let them know I'm home...
Need to run into town for groceries and a few supplies...Suzanne and Lenny are dropping in around noon so must be on the run..
Gab later..
Enjoy your day everyone..
Here is a link to the baby shower stuff:)
http://picasaweb.google.com/Fairy1004/BabyStuff?feat=directlink
Betty, love those glasses. So pretty. Stacey, looks like you got some nice stuff to get you started.
Hello To all !
Betty - I LOVE those glasses !
Stacey - what cute baby shower stuff!
DH made a chicken/sausage/shrimp gumbo... YUM... I'm sneaking a late night snack from the crock pot now...
Hugs,
Mary
Sounds 'yummy' Mary...now what do you and your family have planned..did you not go to New Orleans last year for July 4th?
Sun is beaming through the window this morning, going to be a glorious day..going to try this Elmvale Canada Day street vendor and flower sale this morning and then home to sew...wanted to do it yesterday but had company come off and on all day then by evening I was feeling the worse for wear so early to bed I went..
Suzanne dropped in and she was telling me that Paul is hoping the 2 other city offices will shortly be running and that I will be in the new office in Penetanguishene (Crissy that's one street up from the Naval base I took you to) so most likely about a 20 minute drive..not so sure I want to go there...will have to decide if it's retirement time....
Off to have coffee outside and enjoy the view, few more phlox are showing me their beauty..again I noticed not enough red, so will be in search of red perrenials, they are hard to find...
Enjoy your day, for those of you who work I would imagine you are looking forward to a 3 day weekend and the festivities that go along with July 4th...
Waving to all - Tubby, Bev/Scotty can you see me wave?
Have fun Betty-sounds like you have a good day planned:)
That does sound like a good day! Enjoy Betty!!!!
I went to bed at 8:30 last night after an extremely difficult evening, the earliest I have gone to bed since I don't know when, woke up at 6:30 and tried to get more sleep but Tiga was up and wanting to play, so I got up at 7, we chased each other around the house for a few minutes, then I made coffee, went out and looked at my plants, oh my Dave didn't water much at all so after I drink a cup of java I'm headed out to water and weed and whatever, I'm not getting interrupted today, Dave can go do whatever, I've got to get this done. My huge bee balm is all knocked over, some of my day lilies are all brown on the ends, hibiscus is infested with bugs again, there's a hibiscus that think isn't a hibiscus at all but a huge weed instead oops! LOL!! I have my vacation pics online so I can use my camera for ID and such YAY!
Enjoy your garden day Crissy! You can take some febreeze and spray it in your car, that should get rid of the smoke smell.
Betty, enjoy your shopping day.
I bought these at wal mart yesterday as there coming off the truck. Only 5 dollars a piece. I may go get more of them? Peter Pan Lily of the Nile. Agapanthus africanus peter pan.
LK I've sprayed it 3 times now, I think I've finally gotten rid of it. Quite the smoke for just smoking around the car with a door open. He also took $900.00 out of our account to buy his dad a car without talking to me about it and he's not working, and says that his brother, who lives off of a very small disability claim, will pay him back. So I figure I'll take the money out of his unemployment benefits account and put it into my solo savings account, then when Donnie pays him back that will go back into our joint checking account, and I will have made $900.00! LOL!! He's already talking about going to CA by himself, that didn't take long, I've been back, what, 3 days? This is why I don't leave, I come back listening to a bunch of lies and propaganda! I told him last night after Uncle Roy mouthed off to some cops walking by our table at dinner that I can't take Roy anywhere and can't leave Dave alone for 5 minutes. Good Grief Betty I'm coming back! LOL!!
Linda Kay those are beautiful...$5.00 now that's a bargain isn't it...
The lady who sells every year lily's at the street festival was not there this year, my thoughts are that lily beetle that is infesting our area so she didn't want to pass it along...glad she wasn't there because I would have been encouraged to buy more..
Another lady who sells unusual plants was there, came home with phlox, one of my favorite..there was several containers of variegated leaf phlox, which I've never seen, so bought what she had, a few for the girls as well, kind of think maybe they aren't phlox but she guarantees me they are..said I'll be thrilled with them..bought shrubs, and a few 'turtle' plant perrenials..she tells me that when the are mature and flower that I'll be impressed at just how the flowers will look like turtles..don't know if they'll flower this year but if they do indeed make me happy I'll be back at the sale 1/2 hr. before it opens to purchase a lot more...she had double rows of hosta's some which I don't have, was going to say I'd take them all because they were so reasonable but a lady just as I was putting my purchases aside said she'd take them all..boo hoo/boo hoo...
Then off to the fabric store, found some Christmas material, just got to make those Christmas block today and tomorrow so I can post to Barb on Monday..infact, sewing machine is embroidering while I am typing..multi tasking they say! lol ooooh didn't they have the new die for the accuquilt..circle cutter, perfect for cathedral window quilt which she was working on..I'd have loved to stay and see her work on it..guess one Sat. coming I'll have to go and see the finished product and get the die..
Off to lunch we went..came home and worked in the garden a bit, but much to hot, so playing in the basement with my blocks and when the heat of the day is done I'll go plant what I've purchased...
Crissy, you must have experienced heavy rains and wind much like they did here while I was gone..so many of mine were flat on the ground, know how disappointing that is...
Well machine just stopped and beeped so means I have to change the thread color..yikes, next time I'll have to get a machine that does so..lol...doubt it..
Hope you are enjoying your day..
Your bedroom is ready Crissy, in fact Bernie said he might be here in the morning to do the double platform down..that way you'll have your own entrance..lol... I know where the airport is, just call and I can pick you up..still lots in the area you didn't get to do....
Hello All;!
Betty - I bought my first 'creeping phlox' this year and it was so pretty back in March/April but now ... no more flowers. Probably too hot. You know? I really can't remember what we did last Independence day... Hm... will have to ask DH....
LK - I have an agapanthus I could have given you... I suppose they spread pretty easily...they are all around Baton Rouge...so they are pretty hardy in the heat. We have the light purple one...but DH wants to get the dark purple one.... They are very pretty ! I think you will love them and what a great price !
DH and I went to the nursery today.... I finally got one hibiscus to plant where last year's froze. Got one called a "Smiley Face". I also bought a "Crossandra" which I don't think I"m supposed to plant outside but I did...so that might not make it. AND bought a Deep Purple Shamrock. Looks like the green 'weeds' I pulled up earlier this year but the color was so unusual ...I couldn't resist.
Crissy - sounds like you got a lot done today. My potted hibiscus got bugs on it too...I just kept spraying it...spray the dirt around it too... I also bought some "wake up spray" from a website I found out about from DG... and it seemed to help it come back. We put it in the ground today.
2 hibbies were lost from last years freeze. Probably our Queen palms. (tear!)
Betty - I'm sure if you really don't want to go to the new location, Paul would not make you go... right?
I'll pop back in a bit.
Hugs
Mary
HAPPY JULY 4th everyone..
Hope you've something special planned!
Your in the gardening mode Mary..what treasures you've found..look forward to seeing photo's as they grow..
I've been up since 5:30-tossed/turned, then turned and tossed, finally gave up and am downstairs working on July Christmas quilt blocks..if I span my day properly who knows might be able to not only mail June's but July's as well...
Going to be a gorgeous day out there, didn't plant yesterday's purchases, will do later in the day so they've time to adjust before tomorrows high temps..
After my visit in Ohio and seeing everyone's gardens I so want to do some changes but then I have to remember I'm in norther Ontario, most things I'd like to do just won't work!!! boo hoo so I'll continue my french garden..yikes, everything around the pond is over 5' tall, all I hear is the sound of water but don't see it...still soothing though!
Going to have my coffee out in the gazebo then back in to work...
See you on my next break!!!
Mary-my creeping phlox only bloom in April/May-I think they are just a spring flowering plant. Betty's are the tall phlox that get a couple feet tall.
Supposed to be in the 90's here, so staying inside and probably cleaning. DH has to work til 11pm, do nothing exciting here for the 4th.
Stacey, my phlox are between 5 to 6 feet tall - mature plants are, last year's crop are about 3' tall..doubt they'll be in full bloom until mid July to late July..glorious colors then...
Diane gave me a box with an amaryllis for Christmas..found it not more than a few weeks ago hidden in a corner, decided to plant in the container..well, what a treat..it's absolutely stunning and is still blooming...will I be able to keep it for next year i.e. take the bulb out of the soil..
Must go take a photo for you..
Morning everyone! Mary, I was not looking for the lily, but when I saw it just coming off the truck, I knew I had to have it. I put the lily in the back yeard, and it took the hummers 10 minutes to find it.
Hope you all have a great 4th of July.
Tubby sure hope your feeling OK, and will enjoy the fireworks tonight!
How pretty...we don't have as many hummers this summer as we do in previous years not quite sure why..all my feeders are full...maybe I need to buy a pretty like yours LindaKay
Betty, they will be real pretty around your pond, they like moist soil.
Good morning and a very Happy 4th of July!
Sounds like everyones doing great and enjoying lovely gardens.
Crissy, I wanna run away with you, lol...Yikes and yow about Dave and shannagans going on, but sounds like you got a good plan to replace the money, I just hate surprises like that!
Oh, Linda Kay, how beautiful! Love the the hummers picture, one of these day I will get to sit Camera in hand to catch some photos, sigh, love seeing yours.
Well, I know my RWB swap buddy got her package yesterday! LOL, but she won't be home until tomorrow...OH, well I think she'll be able to use, everything throughout the month.
Betty, Our chore Calendar is working out fantastic!! We are all so pleased about it too...But i still have loads and loads of laundry to catch up with, Haven't done it since last week, due to plantings, and other yard work. Saturday is slated for no house work by anyone, lol everyone fends for themselves! So, Steve and I met up with friends for a nice morning Bike ride. Turned out to be an all day affair. Beautiful ride in the back roads of Northern IL. I Loved it!! Yikes, We got torched though, so my face is all nice and toasty, Steve's too.
Then, in the evening we Went with Brian and his girlfriend to see the Fireworks at Arlington Racetrack. OMG, by the time we got there just about every space was taken, but Jacob eyed a spot just big enough for us, down by the railing. Well, we looked over the book on the horses, we got to see races for 8-10. Too late for 8 so we bet, on nine and 10. 9th, I bet 2 bucks on #3 Laura Babe, lol just gotta bet on any Babe, right? LOL She came in last!! For the 10th race, I bet on # 7, forgot her name, LOLbut I liked the odds...Woohoo, she Won!! and so I won too, 24.80...LOL, I was jumping up and Down...yelling go, go, go ,then clapping and cheering away, wishing I would have doubled the bet. We had a ball then Brian and Brit came over for a few drinks, and that was that.
Today, just working on laundry and out planting. Steve's already out and about...Jake did his chore and now just left and the older ones still sleeping.
I guess we'll have a nice bbq, later and a fire tonight.
Yep, waiving Hi Tubby and Bev, hope you two are well, and will be able to enjoy festivities.
Debbie and Mary, Waiving hi, hope you'll enjoy the day, lol take the day off moms.
OH, Thanks everyone for well wishes on Breenie's job, she is waiting for them to schedual a drug test.
I am glad you posted the picture Stacey, Glad you will stay in from the heat, lol me too...
Well have a good and Safe day.
LIZ!! If your lurking, wink so glad you like your very belated birthday gifts!!
Hey, and Quit lurking and say hello, WE miss ya.
K, gotta switch out the laundry, see you later.
LK - Great Picture ! Yes - love the agapanthus ! are they common in your area or rare?
Stacey & Betty - Can't believe Phlox get that BIG! THe little creeping phlox I mentioned is about ... 4-5 inches tall? It was gorgeous by the pool... a little rock plant...pink flowers
I'll try to take a pic of the shamrock (purple clover) I bought... It looks GREAT by the pond....
Judy - I have a chore chart (if you want a copy) that has 'worked' for the 3 kids...We haven't used it as much as of late... (long story) but it really worked well for us......
My day today was much like yours... NO plans... DS went off with Girlfriend visiting her Dad (back Wednesday).... DD2 went with her bio-Mom (Back tomorrow). DD1 worked and went to a party.
That left DH and I to ourselves. And wondering .... "What do we do now?". We went in search of a DOG.... I think I'm almost ready for another. But no luck.
This afternoon...went for a swim. Fun. Then DH decided to mow the back yard and broke my Tinkerbell Bird Bath that I bought at EPCOT on May 13th. Sad. We went down to the Mississippi RIver levee, had dinner and watched fireworks. DH took me to the casino... (We NEVER go ) and had a great time losing $25 (It took 2-3 hours to do so).
I really had fun... It's like we're learning how to have fun together as a couple again... after being so devoted to kids for so long....
HUGS<
Mary
Morning Mary, sorry to hear he broke your timkerbell birdbath, but sounds like you had a great time!
Those plants, I have never seen anywhere, so there are pretty rare here. I sure hope they do well, cause the hummers love them. I am going to leave them in pots, so I can move them if needed. Right now with all the rain from the storm Alex, it is pretty cool here. But once the storms leaves, it will be hot again.
OMG it will hit 42 c. today with humidex, if memory serves me it's about 106F..much the same all week..guess that's why my cold, head pounding, fever and kidney's throbbing are giving me the what for..should have stayed home but how do you stay home when you've had 11 days off ??? Crissy hope yours has cleared.. worked hard here and there over the weekend to do 6 Christmas blocks, by mid afternoon I couldn't do much as the chesterfield was calling me..managed to get 5 of the 6 done..this morning at 4:30 I opened my eyes and thought why not finish the last block so I can get it mailed this morning..so it will be a long day..
To try and stay awake I've brought in 10 garden / pond landscaping books into the office..I've got about 1 1/2 worth of work to do and then I'll be sitting so perhaps something in the books will generate a project for this weekend..
OOOH you all have today off, your long weekend..wonderful, sounds as though many of you will be resting?? lucky you!
Mary, ahhh nothing worse than having a lovely piece of garden art broken...so easily done though..maybe on your next trip you can pick up another...
Judy, get that laundry done..lol..doesn't take long to get behind..glad that your chore schedule is working..makes it easier for you...are you still looking for employment or are you giving up for now until the economy picks up??maybe once all the kids are working you could ask for an allowance from them..reverse what you used to do..lol
glad you got out riding..bet you love having the wind in your hair..by the way, do you have helmet law in effect for Illinois..I once was camping in Florida and a young couple who had an rv went out for a ride, leaving grandma home to look after the children, well they never came back, both killed, had they had helmets on, who knows?
Should phone a neighbor and find out why emergency rescue was across the street for Corey??? nosey aren't I?
well, better get to work for an hour or so..
Liz, hope all is well and that you are feeling much better..yikes..
LindaKay although you are worried about Alex, bet you are relieved for rain and cooler weather...how's the new wheels?
Betty I'm still congested, colds hang onto me forever, hope I don't have this until fall but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
OK Judy!!! Let's go girl!!! I keep getting these surprises! Dave got Saturday's mail out of the box yesterday and there's a letter from the IRS stating I owe them $13,000.00 from a reinvestment, so I called my tax girl immediately to give her a heads up (she's my dad's girlfriend lol) and I need to find my 2008 tax crap here somewhere, it's not filed where it should be, but I know I wouldn't have thrown it out. I have a few boxes here of miscellaneous what-not that needs to be gone through anyway so looks like that's what I'll be doing today! It's hot hot hot outside and I sunburned my back yesterday at the lake so I won't be doing much out there anyway. I need to take out broken bee balm but there's about 100 bumble bees on it so I think I'll wait lol!
Mary sounds like you and DH are coming together again! Awesome!! Sorry about the birdbath, I've learned to just not put pretties out because DH Dave is careless!!
WAVING to EVERYONE
yikes Crissy, that's a lot of money to be paying IRS..you'd better go searching tonight for sure..I wouldn't be sleeping..as you saw, my beebalm was laying on the ground as well after the tornado..guess that's it for this year...
Been busy catching up and holding my head..lol..brought in gardening magazines but haven't even looked at them...oh well, tomorrow is another day~
The rain is noce, but it brings out the bad mosquito's!
Love the new truck, it is really nice!
Hope you and Crissy are both doing better.
Ann just came over to bring me the bingo cards for tomorrow night so I can photo copy, talk about lazy..lol..dabbing is much more fun..told Ann had a feeling we'd win the big one, she simply nodded, I say that every week...
wow, Diane, friend of mine gave me a box at Christmas..amarylis..about 3 weeks ago I thought I'd best plant it..took the bulb, added soil into the given container and set it out on the back deck..talk about beautiful and there are still 2 or 3 more flowerets not open...
