Gypsies heading for summer

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I have daylily envy, you guys! I have 2 that have buds but I don't know what they look like yet. They were new last year and didn't bloom.

(Zone 5b)

mine have buds but haven't bloomed yet either.

Kassy good luck today! :)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Have we got a gypsi baby yet??? Jim that is so pretty, strange how such a simple looking leaf can produce such a lovely flower huh? Smiley and Lynnie want to see yours when they bloom. I've got more Lilys but they haven't even buddied, may have to move them to another spot. :-(

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Nope, no gypsi baby yet. Stuborn kid I guess. And I won't be here when she is born.
I'm getting ready to head to my boyfriends house. We have to be back on Saturday for my son's graduation, and then I have to come back earlier then I usually do because I have to go to a 3 hour in-service the day before I start back to work.

That doesn't give me a lot of time up north, so I'm headed out soon.
The kids have lots of people around, like her mother and all their friends.

Nice Jim, now want to see some more of that raised bed garden. Is it producing yet? How is Jo, and your son?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Stuborn kid finally got here, by C section. I guess mom didn't do too good in surgery but is doing ok now. She will be in the hospital until Sunday.

I have a feeling we are going to be in for a lot of noise when she gets home though from this picture that my son sent me

OH, 7lbs, 8 oz, and 19 1/2 inches long.

Congratulations Kassy!
She is adorable.
She's not as big as they thought, is she.
Hope Mom is doing better.

You will be home then whe they come home?
Enjoy the quiet while up north don't think there will be much at home. LOL

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks JJ,

They get home Sunday and I get back on Monday. Trust me, I will enjoy this quiet time.

Kirstie and her Dad. The last picture he send me, and his mother in law told him to send it. I told him he needs to smile.
BF said he looks like a graduite.

LOL He looks scared, like maybe she will break.
I like that name. Tell them congratulations for me.

Oh I see now, you are coming home for graduation and then going back North. Then back on Monday.
You will be tuckered out from all that driving.

Well I'm glad she's here and everyone is doing fine, except maybe son who is now home alone with MIL. LOL

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Yeah Kassy, Congratulations grandma! Kirstie is beautiful!!!! Dad looks confused LOL Glad everything went well, she looks very healthy.

Delhi, LA

Congratulations on the sweet baby. Glad she is hear healthy and strong.

The garden is producing well. String beans, tomatoes and cucumbers going crazy but it's not very pretty now. That always happens when production kicks in heavy.

I'm glad you liked my DL's. I'll post a picture my jalepeno pepper for you to look at.

WOW Jim!

BF says "no thanks". He doesn't like hot peppers, or hot of much of anything else.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Congratulations Kassy, she's a beautiful little girl.

(Zone 5b)

aaaw Kassy she's beautiful! Nothing like a baby to liven up a house :)
Congratulations!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

LOL Jim, was that note beside the water bottle a reminder from Jo to pick up more, that one was empty.:-)

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Boy you are very observant flowers

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hey Jim, you haven't seen this one, its my baby.....

Have three of these Euonymus shrubs, think they are pretty too. They are evergreen.

I didn't even notice the note on the counter but our house is full of notes. Old age don't you know.

Jo told me last year she wished our jalapenos were bigger so I planted a couple of mammoth peppers. The size surprized me. I haven't got up enough nerve to bite it yet. If moon was around she'd take it.

I like the hydrania. Ours were pretty this year but the blooms didn't last very long for some reason. Last year they laster until the first of July.

Very pretty flowers ^_^

And Jim, here are my tomato plants that I grew from seed. They are getting there.
Caged already.

Your tomatoes look really good. Good strong healthy plants with a good color. Won't be long now.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kassy, when did you plant your seeds? They look great. You have done a good job with them.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks Jim ^_^

Venice, I wish I could remember when I did start them. All I remember was my boyfriend telling me it was too early. Well he has changed his tune now and says "I guess it wasn't too early".
He started some later and they are small yet.

Sons graduation was today and after graduation we went over to the hospital to see the baby.
She slept the whole time I was there. Son texted me and told me she was awake for a few minutes about 10 minutes after we left. That figures. I told him maybe she will always sleep for grandma then.

Ahhhh! Sweet baby!

Kassy, did you plant them directly in the ground? Did you transplant them to their final spot. What type of tomatoes are they and were they packaged ones?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

She is a sweetie Kassy. Of course she will be good for gramma.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Awww just makes ya want to sleep and snuggle with her Kassy! Jim, I don't like you anymore, I thought my Hydrangea looked good until I saw yours, you don't play fair! LOL

Delhi, LA

Just remember this, yours is young. Mine has been growing since 1975.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Kassy, that is one sweet baby!

I hope my hydrangea looks as good as your do, Jim & Flowers. Mine is a lace top, it has buds all over it, I can't wait for it to bloom. This is the 1st year I've had more than 1 flower on it, I wasn't treating it right during the winter. It was freezing it's little buds off!

Delhi, LA

Hydranias in my country are a plant them and forget them plant. Only thing we have to do is keep the water on them during the dry part of the summer.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Hey Jim, here is one of my Lilies. The girl standing next to it is 5 foot 3 inches tall. I had her get in the picture just to give you and idea of how tall it is.
It seems to have grown taller each year. I have some just like it in another flower bed, but they don't get as tall.
Hope it stops growing soon or a good strong wind will take it down I'm aftaid.

And here are a couple of my Calla Lilies in bloom. I have 3 more buds that will open soon. Hopefully before I go back home.

Hi Kassy, geesh that's a pretty, big lily.
Those cala lilies are really pretty.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Venice, I have 2 different kinds of tomatoes that I planted. I stated them all indoors.
Some of the seeds that I planted are called "Jubilee", and they are said to be golden orange . Mild flavor and less acid then the red ones have.
And I planted seeds for red ones called "Rutgers-Select" Medium globe, firm, ideal for slicing or canning.

And this is our Dill that seeded itself. We planted no dill this year. Looks like we will have more then enough!

Thanks JJ,

I have a Red Lily that is just as big but not blossoming yet.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Did you want some of these columbine seeds this year or did the plants make it?
How about that other lily bulb I sent, don't remember the name. how is it doing?
