Gypsies heading for summer

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

You have a good night Jim.
I'm calling it a night.
Good night

(Zone 5b)

Jim try taking the pic without flash of the light colored flowers, also, some cameras have a macro setting you can try for close ups.

Delhi, LA

I used the close up setting but the flash is automatic. If not, I don't know how to turn it off.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Just shut your mouth to get the flash off Jim LOL. Here is my Asiatic Lilly, have a yellow one, and a white one that hasn't bloomed yet. Anddd Ms Moonie sent me a red and white one that hopefully will bloom next year, those things are awsome!

Your daylillys are beautiful Jim. I only have the orange one so far, but have some planted that haven't bloomed so hopefully they will be that pretty, don't think they are day lillys tho, they only have a few leafs. Some kind of Lilly for sure, should have logged them when I planted.

Delhi, LA

You'll be able to tell when they bloom. We already had a bunch with several different colors that I planted years ago. Moon sent me 5, my niece in Jackson, Tenn. sent me 3 and pirl sent me 157 that I planted and had to give about 30 away because I had no room. I am anciously awaiting them blooming. I know they are going to be beautiful.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

157 Wow. I would still be planting.
You will be in daylily heaven...

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

They are fast becoming one of my favorites. Keep posting, Jim!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I love them... easy to care for , keep the weeds down and they are pretty.
Thats all we put at my moms..daylilies and hostas a little creeping phlox all easy to care for.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Lots of folks here plant them on a bank next to the road, they are very pretty, a shame they don't bloom long though. 157 Jim, need to post picture of that for sure when they bloom.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I am so pleased that you like that daylily Jim....I love them for their unusual color and the fact that they are evergreen with nice wide leaves. Flowers, that is the same daylily i sent to you...I think you took a couple to the cemetary....??? I agree with Jim....Old Timers....LOL.

Having a ball...chasing runny noses and getting wonderful slobbery baby kisses...This coming weekend is Queen Elizabeth's birthday celebration here....I think we are going to the Glasshouse mountains for the weekend....Yeah....road trip...

Hugs to you all....Moon
(these silly Ibis are everywhere...will walk right up to a child to snag a cookie)

Jim if you don't have a button on your camera with a lightning bolt on it , then click the menu button and see if you can find one.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks Moon and yes the first girl grandbaby.
So cool that she was born on your birthday.
Have a great roadtrip sounds like a neat place.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Ooooh have one getting ready to bloom Moon, bet thats it, that daylillys is so pretty, no I remember I kept one here. Didn't know you were gonna take Dixie with ya, I told her not to snatch those babies cookies :-) I've got a grandson that was born on his grandmothers birthday, thats neat when that happens. Glad you are having a good time, cause I know those kids are with you there.lol Hey everybody, long time no see :-)

Delhi, LA

Have a ball moon and thanks again for the day lily.

I'll try to keep the new ones posted for you guys

Right now we have 14 different colors but have a ton of those colors. Probably 300 or so. Right now the yard looks like a solid day lily bloom.

Thanks for the advise Lynnie. I'll check it out tomorrow.

This is a bloom on one that my niece sent me from Jackson, Tenn. It is really similar to the one moon gave me. The dark tones of this one is a little lighter and the throat is a lighter tone of yellow.

Them's purty Jim!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Really nice Jim .
I like the pirl #2 best.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Those are very pretty Jim, I only have the orange ones so far. I also stated Moonie gave me the red and white one but just remembered it was another friend that brought me that bulb this year, but Moon has hooked me up with some last year just waiting for the blooms :-) I've got something pretty coming up I planted last year, think it is Goose neck loose leaf it is small but has flowers on it, will try to get a picture of it tomorrow, Moon may have give me that, but think I bought it and gave up on it last year.

Delhi, LA

I have a picture of another day lily if I can find it. All I have is numbers and have to go through each one. I had taken time to name them for ease of finding and that is when I got where I couldn't post them. Deleted the whole bunch and re-uploaded them. This is one I didn't know I had. Apparently it didn't bloom last year or I would have an old picture. Here goes.

That's pretty, Jim. Flowers, I have gooseneck loosestrife, it's pretty. It spreads, I have to yank it out when it meanders.

Delhi, LA

You guys are talking about one that I never heard of.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Kassy are we still waiting?
Do you have the son's MIL there now?
Hope you all are doing fine, give us a holler sometime.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Hey JJ,
Baby is not here yet, they will be inducing on Wednesday if she does not have it before then.
Yes, her mom is here now, and I'm in my rotation to work. I end work on Wednesday morning and was hoping to leave for my BF's then, but I guess that may have to wait.

To top it off, The Dad is graduating from collage in computer networking the following Saturday. The school wanted him as validictorian, but because of the baby coming so close to that time, he opted out of it. He made the Deans list the whole year ^_^
Grade point average of 3.8
To bad he couldn't study that well in high school...............LOL

I'll put in pictures after she arrives.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

LOL good to here all is OK.
Must be a little crowded there. ^-^
Don't work to hard, and can't wait to see the pictures.

My son and DIL are being stingy with this one never lets me watch her always take her shopping ith them. Told hem when she is crawling ,walking and won't sit still and they want to go somewhere to remember it cuz they can take her then too.

Have a great day I'm off to the yard sales.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

JJ, I like your thinking.........LOL
I just told my DIL the same thing ^_^

Off to bed for me now.
Catch you all later ^_^

Delhi, LA

I have a new pirl that bloomed. It is a double red. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow. Have a great day tomorrow.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hi Kassy don't forget to let us know when that precious bundle is born. Congrats to son for hard work, seems it is starting to pay off .

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, nice grapes and hydrangea!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Hey Flowers, we have the grapes here too, only ours are wild grapes. They even try to grow up the pine trees down the road from my BF's place,
Pretty Hydrangea.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I think I forgot to tell everyone.
I won a contest recently. That was a first for me!!!

One of our TV stations was running it. Every night for 3 weeks they would give a key word on the news. You had to enter that word on their web site by 4 PM the following day to have your name put in a drawing.
About 4 days before it ended, they drew my name.
I got a $200.00 gift card to Festival Foods. ^_^
Chances of winning we heard was 6,000 to 1.

No signs of the baby wanting to come out into the world yet. That kid sure is taking it's time!
DIL is at work today, and probably will be tomorrow too. Then the next day she goes to the Doctor, and by that night she should be tucked in at the hospital, waiting.
Son is not looking forward to that wait.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Congrats Kassy! Free food! Woo Hoo!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Good deal Kassy..steak dinners all around LOL

(Zone 5b)

congratulations Kassy! :)
