Lynnie, what kind of critter is that?

Delhi, LA

I love the clematis. That is one flower we have not had any success with.

The pic I posted is a tiny rose. One is pink and the other is red. The red is one is one my grandmother moved from Mississippi in 1916. I found it on an old fence row about a quarter mile from where it was originally planted. The other I found by an old tenant house in our area. The trellis is an 18 foot wire cattle panel left over from my ranching days. Buried on end, bent it over and marked where it touched the ground, dug a trench and buried it. It is so pretty when it blooms. Only problem is I have to fight the powdery mildew on it every year.

If Lynnie lived in Louisiana, I'd say it was a nutria rat. Looks like some kind of badger to me.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I doesn't look mean enough to be a badger.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I love that Jim & Flowers are having a photo contest! Lynnie your clematis is pretty, is it a jackmanii?

I believe the creature is a groundhog. I don't know how they say it in MA though.

(Zone 5b)

it is a groundhog, a baby one (also called woodchucks) it's the one I'm gonna send to you Smiley lol
no that's not a jackmanii, I forget what it is, this is the first time I've seen it since I planted it.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Ok, it looks like a baby. Is he the only one? Where is ma and pa?

And were still waiting. I told mom that it's time for her to do jumping jacks. She said NO!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

They also say that having sex will help the baby to come!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

I was going to say that the other day Venice, but decided not to. LOL
But it does work. I have known a couple people who have used that method.
Oh well they will get her moving today. ^_^

I would blush but I am so old I can't remember what you are talking about.

I bumped the planter that was by the mail box with the lawn mower and it was so old it burst. I needed something to repot the plants in but had nothing. I noticed the slow smoker that I had in the trash pile to haul off and decided to see if I could use it. I had to manufacture a bottom for it but it works real good. I thought it was kind of cute and eye catching.

Here is a shot of pirl #3. The first double I ever had.

They are at the hospital and they started to induce about an hour or so ago.
If she doesn't have it by tomorrow night, the Doctor said she will do a C section. So tomorrow is B-day anyway you look at it here.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Thanks for the update was beginning to wonder.I can't believe they waited until evening to induce. I figured they would do it early morning.
That DR. must work your hours . LOL

Keep us informed..going to be a long night for son...hope all goes well.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

LOL, I just read back on the posts and read the part about sex.
Now I know where they went wrong!!!! LOL
My son has been sleeping in the livingroom for the past month at least. He says that since they up-ed her meds she snores too much. So he has camped out in the living room.
I'm thinking he is kind of liking having his own sleeping space.......LOL

Delhi, LA

I hope everything goes well with the birth. Will keep them in our prayers.

I love the day lily. It is really pretty. I have a purple that has the triangle in it and I love it.

I have several new ones blooming and will post a picture of one.

This is pirl # 4.
