Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well, Synda, Annie knows pretty much how to get to my house since she came within 8 miles of it for the RU. Soooooo come June 26/27th, seems like that's a perfect time to come and meet some of the sistahs in person!

I know I was bummed that you didn't make the RU...was looking forward to meeting you and Julie, both....well, later for sure.

We did have a wonderful time. It poured for the first part of it, but none of us melted and we had a great shelter. We stayed pretty dry once we got our plants unloaded. The food was to die for.....wish my stomach had been bigger so I could have had more stuff! My dessert was a piece of milkyway apple caramel pie...oh my, I surely needed a cuppa coffee for that, but I passed on the chocolate pecan, cause I knew it would be way too rich without some coffee to cut it. Of course, since I couldn't be ANYWHERE without....I sampled both kinds of cookies!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Well Synda, don't miss this reunion please! You don't have to bring anything, just yourself. You're close to Cookie's.
Thank God, you got your kidneys checked.

I know.. I'm not myself these days. Guess this happens to most of us, but like I've told Maid M., seems God has been over generous with 'stuffs' for me to bear. One day, I'll be able to BARE and unload all.. but that one day will be in Heaven right?

Got a few minutes to wish someone special a Happy Birthday. I thank God for creating you this day LK.

Happy Birthday LK and may your birthday pressies doesn't stop with the Ipad.. and the truck!!! You co-own that with Tod!

Off to church and everyone have a blessed Sunday!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I just talked to Kathy. She's had another stint in the hospital. This time it was her heart. They had to shock it to get it back in rhythem (know that's not right SP, but I never did win a spelling bee.....) Her BP was dangerously low, too. They took her off her HBP meds..

Her daughter and grandson got in on Saturday, so they're having a good time catching up.

Knew you all would want to know.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy, we are saying lots of prayers for you, and sending very gentle ((hugs))
Thanks for letting us know cookie! Keep us posted please!

Happy Birthday Linda Kay. Lady your are like fine wine--improves with age--or alteast they say it does. Put your feet up and be Queen for a day please.

Cookie, thanks for the update on Kathy. I noticed she hasn't posted in awhile but thought that was getting ready for her daughter and grandson coming. Any clues what triggered this?

Synda, oh please manage to get to Cookies--would love to met you in person.

Judy I am so glad you had a nice anniversary party.

Going for 100 today with a heat index of 110--think I will just "chill" out inside.

Thanks Marion. Feet have been up most of the day!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Judy darlin' Oh Judy Darlin!

Synda I am so sorry you're having kidney problems, I was wondering where you went. Those are the worst and yes, dumb doctors! Why do they go to school, I think we could do a better job sometimes. Anyway, I really hope you get better and are able to go to Cookies, even if only for a little while, I would absolutely love to meet you! So you have to get well soon, very soon!!

Marion we had a high of 90* with a heat index of 105*, so I completely feel your pain and that's exactly what we did, camp out indoors.

Look at today's pretties!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Synda, are you on meds for your kidneys, or do you other treatments? Please take care.
Night everyone!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Linda Kay ,yes the dumb doctor put me on a weeks worth of meds ,which I will be done with Monday night. But I'm going to have to make an appt with a urologist. My right kidney now is very tender ,hurts to put any pressure on my stomach. And the DDr never even scheduled a follow up appt.Dumb doctor..............That is the only down fall in living in a small hick town, not a lot to choose from unless you drive forever. And the shopping stinks .......LOL.So far I have drank almost a gallon of gatorade.........UCK !So hopefully soon I will know why my kidneys are doing this and will be able to get it fixed.

Night all.........

Sure hope the meds work.

Morning everyone.
My son is here from San Antonio, so I won't be on much today, have to run and get the new car today.

Later

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Synda I hope those meds work fast! Yes, being in a small town is nice but certainly has it's downfalls sometimes.

Have fun driving your new toy LK!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Crissy-my fave pretty was the kitty in the chair-LOL

Synda-sorry to hear about that-hope you can get it all taken care of soon.

Oh-I remember the high temps when we lived in AZ and in Fresno!!! YUCK-don't miss those at all!! And all the peeps that say AZ gets "dry heat" are morons-from July to Sept. it is like 115-120 with high humidity and the heat lasts til the end of Oct. I remember every year on my Bday missing the cool temps of home and being mad that I was still sweating outside.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Synda, I know what you're saying girl. For any good specialty medical treatment, us too have to drive for hours. Flushing those kidneys will hopefully restore them to their healthy state.
My ex' late mom went through her later years with one kidney.
My late dad had complete renal failure at 51. As progressive as Singapore is, but having a socialist health care program, dad was last on the waiting list for dialysis treatment.

Judy, you must have been telling yourself, all those labor pains with your kids were all worth it!!! Yay!!! Did you get an anniversary cake as well? Bet Jake cooked up something special!

Stacey.. imagine a few years from now, you'd be having this precious little girl surprising you with breakfast in bed. Then you'll be beaming with pride and for moments like that, you've forgotten about all those stacks of dirty diapers!!

Cookie, did you talk to sis Kathy? Don't have a chance to call her until I return this afternoon. Please tell her to not be stubborn and just rest.

Hiya Crissy!! I had thought I've lost my giant EEs with the bad 3 inch snow we had.. but they did return this month!!

Waving to Maid M and Charleen!

Cindy, how's the nursing getting along?

Intolerable heat here too. I did get a break from watering as it rained last night.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning. At last I have a flower to show!!! Bought this plant off the clearance rack at Wally's store last year. It survived the winter and has rewarded me with some beautiful blooms. Had 2 yesterday and 3 more opened this morning. It is the Luna series but can't remember the name.

Synda, please, please keep drinking and taking care of yourself. Well guess I should clarify that statement: keep drinking fluids--water, gatorade, cranberry juice, whatever.

Heat index is at 97 already with thunderstorms predicted. So what is new? Nothing--they have been predicted for the past 5 days and so far not a drop of rain. It is getting to be really dry here now.

LK enjoy the new car.

Waving to all as I need to get on with my chores today. Son wants to be taken out for dinner for his birthday (belated) so Mom will be doing that tonight.

Tink, take care of my niece and nephew.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,
Took mom to get hair cut. LOL, Jaye back to just mom and I and she is getting along ok but complains of the knee hurting her alot. I don't think she is exercing it enough. Sits in the recliner all day lone with ice on it. I went down to Doug's yesterday. His new doc gave him some pain meds that make him very sleepy instead of taking the pain away. But he is waiting for his med records from KY then will see what more he can do for Doug. He wants Doug to have an MRI. He is coming up on Thursday to stay for a few days and to fisinh the cobblestone walkway thru my flower garden.

Our high for today is to be 88, so I need to get a move on and get yard work done. Going to be digging ground to put in 250 gallon fish pond ^_^

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oklahoma City's flooded ladies. YIKES! So far it's staying just barely north of my mom.

http://www.accuweather.com/video/95673144001/serious-flooding-continues-in-oklahoma-city.asp

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

A lot of my friends and ex-coworkers weren't able to make it in to work.. that's crazy! Said a lot of roads are closed and everything pretty well at a stop. Makes me glad that I'm up here in Iowa now :) At least until winter hits again LOL..

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Maid M., this might be good news to you. My old luna survived the snow!! But then I mulch everything at least 6 inches.

Hey Sis Kathy, what did the doctor says? Hope you intend to just rest for the next few days. Stay away from the heat.

Good luck on Doug's SSI assesment, Cindy. If he hired a lawyer, the process will be faster, from what I understand.

Twyla, are you affected by the flood? Hope you're on high grounds.

The flash flood in Arkansas' pretty scary. Claiming that many lives. One day, someone will come up with an amphibous vehicle that can be used by the public.

It's 104 here and I don't understand why some folks are laying out on the beach. Here I am.. from a tropical island.. and when the heat index hits 80's, I'll be wanting to be somewhere cool.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, mine is in a container but was heavily mulched. I really didn't expect it to make it as it was not in the best of shape when purchased. Loving care did pay off this time.

Scary about the floods. Hope all are safe!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Come on over.. new room ladies.. new room.
