You can sit in MY corner of my garden Maid M. I can assure you, it won't be wooly worms but maybe creaking crickets!! Lol!!

Glenview, IL

hmmm, singing, nobody misses me, everybody misses me, think I'' eat some worms...Roflol...

I missed ya. So glad you are home Marion. I can stop eatin worms now, lol.

Hi.. good evening ...oh oh got to run again, hope your evening..

Armwraps on the tun here...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Hmm-Betty's will be interesting...she doesn't live in a large town so hotels will be not be real close. Maybe she has a B&B in town?? She does have a lovely area though and the one place (I forget the name) with the skiing on one side of the road and the lake on the other, they have rental houses I'm sure, but I can't remember how far away is it. After this one it will be harder for me to come with the baby and everything....at least for a couple yrs. If we have Auntie M's in '13 I want to know if we can go to Disney-LOL No wonder I missed you all talking about it if it was in the RW&B thread. I just thought it was during one of my absences that you all were chatty or something. I only checked the 2 reunion threads.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Tink, if we follow through we certainly can do a Disney in 2013!! Our little twins will be a good age to take them and just think of all the Auntie help you will have.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL!!! Oh my.....I wouldn't wish twins on you Tink!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone!
I am back from my Dr visits. Yep, one was for my annual booby smash, and the other was for my arthritus Dr. He told me that most likely all my pain in back, hips and knees are most likely from the nerve pain from my back, not from my osteoarthritis.
After my visits, I just went to my daugheter in laws, and chilled out in the pool. Got up this morning, had breakfast with eveyrone at IHOP, and came home! No shopping what so ever!

Marion, hope your Mom is doing well?

Tink how are you feeling? Still getting sick?

Jaye, take care of that back please?

Supposed to be 102 today, so far it is only 97! Anyone need some heat?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

We have enough scorching heat, thank you Miss LK!
Booby smash? Lol!! I'm up for my annual in July too!!
Can't believe you didn't shop for us. Oh well.. there's always online sales right?
Did you tan at the pool?

Disney 2013 sounds good.

LK.. I'm still anxious for you to be there at Cookie's. If you can't make it this year, perhaps at Judy's next year?

I'm off after a long long rest. Kel's gonna be helping me do some much needed grocery shopping.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I will get to one soon, but most likely not this year. My arthritis Dr told me I may have to have another back surgery to try and take care of all these pains, but he said nerve damage and pain, can be very hard to heal!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

So I was flipping through TV and found the most beautiful purses!! All handpainted-they are called Anuschka bags. I know it sounds lame, but OMG-wait til you see them!!

http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.738815/it.A/id.1327/.f?sc=9&category=3241

I little pricey-but aren't they gorgeous!! I know what I am asking for my next Bday!!LOL

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

WOW!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Whatever you do....don't tell DEBORAH!!!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Jaye praying..prayers for all the needs here... thinking of you all

I'm so brusied up and scrapes but at least nothing broke. went to hospital for the bone scan ....I'm a believer that no cancer in my bones. enough is enough.

prayers everyone and many blessings.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You know you got us praying for the BEST for you Twyla.
Take care please, and keep us posted as to what's next... I hope your DH will learn to take care of you soon.

That purse is nice.. I'm sure Trisha or Laura can do the same too if one were to ask.

Good night sistahs. Advil PM will be kicking in soon.

LK, hope you wake up to a pain free day too!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Ya know what Tante- I was thinking the same thing. I saw them first on ShopNBC (I normally don't watch home shopping, but over the years have gotten a couple things on there like a printer and some sheets when the deal was real good) and the guy showed that they start with a plain white leather bag and then go from there. I just love my wallet that Trisha and Laura did soooo much and never thought about a purse done in the same fashion. Do either of them still belong to DG??

We had a night of storms that produced tornadoes just to the S of us, but that meant Tornado warnings every couple hrs for us too. Everytime one went off, DH came upstairs and woke me up and I trucked myself to the basement....boy am I still tired today...from what I saw on the news last night some damage was done, but I don't think anyone was hurt.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Tink, I have not seen Trish or Laura here, I think they are in the other building.
Sorry you did not get any sleep, but glad to hear your safe and sound.

Morning everyone! Coffee is on!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Afternoon. The weather must have been playing havoc everywhere. We had bad thunderstorms most of the night and my son lost power for 4 hours. Thank goodness we didn't.

Glad, no extremely glad, no damages to you Tink.

Yes check the other building for Laura and Trisha.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

93 here sistahs!! Brutal ain't it?
I didn't go to church today but stayed in bed till a couple of hours ago.
Am so glad that Kel is potty trained!!! Lol!!!

We need some of that moisture around here Maid M. A promise of a week long rain became only 2 days!! But I'll settle for the dryness than bad thunderstorms or tornados.
Wasn't it predicted that the South will see much worse hurricanes this year? I hope not.. let them all be detoured to the Atlantic.

Yah... I remember that beautiful fairy wallet, Stacey. Trisha can also crochet beautifully!
Glad no harm come to you last night. At least you have a basement to seek shelter. We are truly not prepared for tornados here.

How are you LK? Hope you get a good night's sleep. Will a chiropractor help your back?

Here's a pic of Possum (our blind kitty) hugging the latest rescue,
Petite Noir, or T-Noir for short.
That little kitty is not lacking any attention. The other cats are always cleaning it and if they don't leave it alone soon, it's gonna suffocate from too much attention!!
Still when it's bed time, T-Noir chose to sleep with Possum. Somehow it sensed that Possum's special.
Even though he's blind, he gets around very well in the sewing room where he sleeps in one of the boxes under the sewing table.

You can say Kel and I got teary eyed over this.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Jaye, that is so cute!
Makes you wonder how anyone can say no to them! Bless you and Kel for raising them all!

I do see a chiro at least once a month. he helps keep everything aligned, so it does not hurt too bad!
I am finally cough free, for about 2 days now. It feels so good to not cough, and have your chest feel like it will break any second!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

And call me the optimist!! Lolol.. I thought it would last for a month like mine.. sorry..
Glad you're over yours, LK.

I have to set an appt. for Kel to see a chiro. They are all so far away tho. He needs one more than I do.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Hi everyone!

Stacey I'm so glad you weren't in tornadoes path, I didn't know about it, apparently I've been in the dark today so I'm reading the article now, it's worse than you first thought. 48 tornadoes, several deaths, numerous injuries, here's the article from accuweather.com

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/32434/aftermath_of_saturdays_tornado.asp

I need to go to the chiro but I don't want to pay the $35.00 copay when it's only $50 for the whole thing. I really dislike my insurance because they don't want to pay for anything, they just help out a little, which is good and better than no insurance, but dang, why do we pay so much into it and get so little out of it?

It was probably 105 here today with the heat index, too hot to work outside for sure. Just watched NASCAR all day LOL!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well the second day of predicted rain did not materialize--heat instead. Yes, it is forcast for a higher number of bad hurricanes this year. Sure hope they are wrong!!! Very wrong at that.

Love the picture of your kitties!! Who wouldn't fall in love with that pair? Just not letting Kim see them or she will be begging for them--if that doesn't work she might use her "opera voice" as Catie-Beth tells us that does work. LOL

I sure hope everyone is okay and no one has been seriously hit with this weather. Scary!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Crissy and Marion, sounds like it is HOT all over! Be careful if you have to go out in the heat.
Good night everyone!
Sweet dreams!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sure seems to be LK. Sweet dreams to you and take care of that back---Jaye, pay attention and you do the same.

I am not long before going to bed also. Went and feed my 4 legged grandchild, checked the "Dolphin" garden as it didn't rain and now I am tired--again. Kim and I plan on finishing up all the cleaning and rearranging of the cupboard tomorrow and then the kitchen is done!!! On to another room.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm heading for bed too.. just got the pc back and it seems that Kel's hooked on FB!

LK, take care sweetie.. Maid M.. Kim.. don't overdo it. I dread cleaning our cupboards cos I know how much stuffs get thrown out.. a sign of $$ wasted!!

See you all tomorrow :D

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

You are so right Jaye about the $$$$ but when I moved into the house I was still very much a "zombie" and we just shoved things in the cupboards. Now we finally are doing a through cleaning and organizing. It is long over do. Hopefully this will keep us from buying things when we need it and not going "I'm not sure, let's get one". Doing some more downsizing with our dishes and pots and pans also.

We worked on this all day yesterday but today we didn't touch a thing. Our day to kick back.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

OMG Tante-that pic is precious!!! Are T-Noir's eyes really blue?? A few years back when we lived in Fresno I think, I was at a Petco getting stuff for Jade and Ruby and this couple had a black and white tuxedo kitten with semi long hair that I fell in LOVE with. Such a little darling. Told me that very same morning when the hubby went to start his truck he heard a mewling under the hood and so he popped it B4 starting it, thank goodness, and they found that little bundle of joy. They were there getting a few things for it until they could find it a home and I called DH at work and BEGGED him to let me bring her home!! The couple had already taken her to the vet and knew she was healthy and with the blue eyes we could call her Sapphire to go with Jade and Ruby. I begged him for like 5 mins, but he just kept saying no:( Not at all the big softie that Uncle Kel is. Thank goodness I never called him about Jade and just brought her home (which I had thought about doing with this kitten), otherwise we probably wouldn't have her. He couldn't turn her away though once he met her;) Now what doesn't make sense to me is that he has tried to catch feral cats over the years to bring them home. Weird huh?? And Possum is such a sweetie!!

Having a basement was my one no negotiating factor when we were looking for a house. I am a freak about tornadoes. When I was little the town one over from us was hit and a father I think it was, was killed trying to get his family into a detached storm cellar (very rural area) when a piece of straw was driven by the force of the tornadoes winds. I won't go into details....

I did watch the weather channel yesterday and their coverage of the storms. There was a tornado about 15 miles N of us that did some damage (no deaths though) and several that hit a couple of towns to the SE of us and pretty much dead E of Toledo. That series of tornadoes pretty much leveled 2 small community's and caused 9 deaths as of yesterday when I saw the coverage. They showed the HS of one of the places and it had cars that had been thrown into the garage doors for the buses and several buildings that were striped to the steel beams and girders. Boy were we lucky to be pretty much in the middle of the destruction...

Crissy-I hear you about insurance. WE pay like $400 a month for coverage and we never go to the Dr. Now for this birth we have to pay a $1000 deductible and are still responsible for 20% after that. So all in all this whole baby thing will cost us $2000-$3000:( And it isn't like we got to pick a plan or anything-this is just what we got. We have had United Healthcare with Chris's other jobs and they were much better on coverage and a little less expensive too. Now we have Blue cross/Blue shield and I have not been happy since we started with them:( Right now we have the Dr. telling us we owe them the $1000 deductible, plus the insurance company sending us lab bills that total about $800. Who has that kind of $$ just sitting around collecting dust? I mean, seriously folks!! We have paid on almost $10,000 and have had 2 Dr's visits in all that time which cost them $54 each. So even after the birth they will still be positive well over $4000.....sorry-ranting a little:(

Mom is coming over in a little bit to hopefully get my dresses finished-wait til you see them!!-and to do some crafty gifts;)

PS-Tante, I am sad Uncle Kel won't be there, and especially since we got him something;)

PPS-My mom that isn't on here lost her job on Tuesday of last week due to serious mismanagement of the owner and the company having to close. She has an interview today, so please keep your fingers crossed. I am too and hope she finds one quickly for her and so that she will still be able to come the end of Oct. No job means no coming to see her grandbaby until probably next Sept when it will be almost a year old. This is her first and only and she is looking forward to it like she won the lottery:)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Saying prayers for her to quickly find another job! She has to be there for that wonderful occasion!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Stacey that's what we pay a month. That's the insurance we had when Dave was working, we were paying $87.00 bi-weekly for the full medical, $5.00 for full dental, and $2.00 for VSP Optical insurance. Since he was laid off and I had to switch to Arkansas Health, we now pay $200.00 bi-weekly, we don't have dental, and $20.00 bi-weekly for optical that only covers the exam. I am not happy and I keep hoping and praying that the plastics molding company Dave applied for in Hot Springs will call him for an interview! They sent him an email about a month ago that they are going to call him and so far, nothing. Rant away Stacey, it makes me just as mad.

I am sending prayers that she gets that job Stacey!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning ladies.
Yes Stacey, T-Noir has blue eyes. It's a very independant little thing, and love to create its' own 'scenarios'. It's very strange that cats have this natural ability to use a sandbox!
Said a little prayer for your mum and Dave to land a job.
I see a few signs in town in needing help, but mostly looking for wait staff.

Kel's sorry that he'll be missing the fun at Cookie's but he's aiming for Judy's next year ;)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

it the is hotter than the hubs of hell here, with no relief in sight. the rain keeps missing us. worked on the kids room overweekend, did a lot of yard work, and spent a lot of time in the pool.

michael fixed the mower. i snapped the bolts off the mower deck. and he replaced them, then he had to cut the hose ff of the blades. i nicked one of the blades, but can't replace it until next week. daughters train tickets cost $402.

spent most of last nite throwing up. still not feeling very well

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello Jaye, and Kathy.
Sorry to hear your not feeling well. Glad he got the mower fixed. When is she coming to visit?
Jaye how are you feeling? Better I hope?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I didn't have to train Tiga to use a litter box, she just started using it when I put one down for her, after her eyes completely opened of course. Since I had no idea how to train a cat so it was the best thing!

Kathy I hope your feeling better by now. No fun!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Kathy-R U preggers too??;)LOL

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Do tell!!! Kathy are keeping us in the dark about something? LOL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Twyla, do you have to have any surgery?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

This Thursday is day for angiogram, will be glad when it is over. That was the day originally scheduled for his shoulder surgery, but the doctor said as soon as he gets the OK his shoulder surgery will be scheduled and he doesn't have to wait. We both have a positive outlook.
