Wow...96. We had an almost cool day yesterday and today it is rain, rain and more rain....that's okay though, cause weeding will be much easier after this, and I STILL have a lot to do before all you sistahs come visit!

Yesterday was exercise, plasma, and then I got a call from Bonjon and she came last night and stayed with me on her way home. So I was cleaning and I made some gingerbread muffins with lemon sauce...yum.

Bonjon brought me rocks from Wisconsin. I couldn't believe it when she started unloading them from her truck. Now I can finish some of the waterfall! Oh YAY!

She also shared a couple hostas that she got at Hallson's. So cute! Hanky Panky and Golden Threads and Silver Needles.

Cookie, I will not be able to make this trip. So sorry. I am just getting of a bad chest cold, and I have follow up Dr. appt's the same week of the re-union.
But you make sure to give all the girls a big hug from me. And make sure someone takes pictures, for those of us that can't make it.

Cindy, where you at? How is Doug doing? And your Momma? Is her knee healing OK?

LOL, Good Morning
I'm here, I am running a short term care home here, lol. Mom is doing good, took her Monday and got the staples removed. She start PT today. Other than pain she's getting around real good. But yesterday she was talking to my cousin........My cousin Debbie was riding a motorcycle on Sunday and wrecked. A friend had taken her to this clinic and all they did was x-ray her hands. Told her both hands were broke and that she needed surgery on her left thumb. Because she did not have any money to pay they would not do anything else for her. So she went home and for two days was in agony. Yesterday I went and got her and took her to ER. She's banged up pretty good but only the thumb is broken. We spent 3 hours in ER then had to go to HR to get Medical for her so that she can have surgery on her thumb. I brought her home here and she stayed the night. She is pretty sore but I'm glad that she only has the broken thumb. She lives with some people and in exchange for room and board she does all the cooking. And let me tell you these people EAT!!!! Debbie said that they eat enough for 6 people so when she cooks she cooks for an army, lol. And there is just two of them.

Doug has been down with an abcessed tooth poor guy. I went down to his place last Saturday and Sunday. He is not working much because he told the boss he only wanted part time and he can't stand in one place for very long because of his back. He may be coming up here this weekend. His motorcycle is leaking oil somewhere so he needs to get that taken care. That job that he had was a joke. He was telling me all the things the owner do and do not do. Man I would not have stayed there the first day. They did not pay him for training, did not give him W4 to fill out, they way they cooked the pork it's a wonder the customers didn't get food poison. Doug said that they were always running out of things and would tell the owner and he would wait until closing time to bring it. One time he sent the busboy to the store to get hamburger buns, but didn't give him any money the busboy had to use his money. Doug said that he had talked with some of his friends that had eaten there and they said they would never go back.

I have got so much yard work to do and having to take care of family members is putting me behind. Come Thursday I have to pick Taylor up from school it is her last day and she gets out at 12:15. So then I will be watching her Mon - Fri. But she is going to be coming over here and if she don't like it my daughter can find someone else to watch her, I just have too much to do here.

Goodness Cindy, sure hope things smooth out for you a bit! Sounds like your Mom is healing well. Hope Doug can find a job he can do. Has he filed for disability with his back?

Yes, Doug filed for SSD a couple of weeks ago.His worked said it sounds as if he has a good case but he thinks that he is going to get denied. I told him to think possitive. I have been after him to get to the doctor and dentist but he is being stubborn. MEN!!!!! why are they such big babies when it comes to having to go to doctor or dentist. Maybe that is why us women live longer we are not affaid to go to doctors, lol.

My hubby is the same way. He says why go to the Dr, all they do is find something wrong with you!

They all are big babies. I do not like it at all when mine gets sick. I would rather be sick.

I guess mine must have been the exception or his job made him the exception. Not sure but he always had his physicals and never hesitated to go when he thought he should. Funny inspite of regular checkups and exams required by his job( every 6 months)--he still had cancer that went undetected until it was a Class IV. Does make one wonder at times.

Hello everyone , Sorry about your mother losing her job praying she gets one quickly and she comes to see you when Baby arrives.

Linda kay no surgery i don't think so.. i also have degenertive joint disese in both knees, ankles, shoulders and the back, knew i did but it has gotten progressively baD FASTER THAN THEy THOUGHT it would sorry hit caps.

Cindy , hope Doug gets something he likes to do and things run smoothly. and he does need to get teeth pulled its dangerous with abscessed teeth, i do know that..Glad your mother is doing better..

Jaye, prayers for Kel and his parents.. prayers for you all always. NOW I need to ask you about a kitty itstiny tiny a cat had 2 in our wash room its back legs are broke i guess she drags herself around.. she is other wise so sweet what can i do, vet surgery is out for us. we also have saome neighbors kittens here how i fell still have the scapes though drying up the brusies are still with me i see people look at my arms i hand and just stare. oh well. Jaye sorry to bother you but can she just live like this i will feed her take care her to.

Sorry to hear about the baby kitty with bad legs. Was she born that way? I don't know what to tell you about that. I would try my best to feed the kitty, but you will always be taking care of it.

Twyla, if you could make a torniquet, use two narrow boards for each leg, that might help heal the bones. Poor thing will need good nutrition and won't be able to fend for itself against predators or other cats.

not heat stroke, my boil on my you know what came back. i went to the clinic and had it lanced. finally relief! it kept me awake all nite

Mine is an exception to the rule to Marion, he goes to the dr for everything, plus his physicals. He is a health nut though.

Oh so sorry to hear of the kitty! I don't know what to tell you either. Hope those bruises heal soon, and no more falling, it's now allowed! LOL

Just upset with myself for the moment Sis.
It's bad enough I'm physically challenged and now worse! I can't do anything at all for the next few days, sure hope this sprain goes off soon.

You know, for my surgery, I never shed a tear when I was in pain.
But yesterday, I was bawling like a baby trying to stand erect!!!

Seeing the doctor next week, if this doesn't go away by then, hope he gives me a shot.

Dave made the best snack last night. He took a little bit of peanut butter, added a little brown sugar and mixed it up. Very lightly toasted some bread, mainly just to get it warm, put a very small amount of margarine on the bread, put a very small amount of peanut butter/brown sugar mixture on it, spread it and let me tell y'all it tasted just like a warm peanut butter cookie.

You guys have got to get better, and QUICK!! I mean it!!!!

LOL Crissy I don't cook breakfast like that everyday. As a matter of fact I don't usually do breakfast at all, but since mom has been down and needs to eat I have been cooking us breakfast everyday. I like to cook and since we got this new stove I don't mind at all. It's having to clean up afterwards that I don't like. So I told mom and Debbie...............

LK, a simple act of getting off the treadmill the wrong way.

I did call, and the Dr's assistant asked a number of questions. I hurt only when I move a certain way, not hurting all the time, but that is enough to make me scream.
He said it's probably a strain and will get better with some rest and anti-inflammatory pills like ibuprofen. That I have plenty of..
My appointment with the doctor is not too far off. So, if this doesn't go away by then, he'll know it's something serious.

LK, I was a CNA for 18 years until I popped a dics out in my neck. But this job here I don't get paid for, lol.
Spent 1 1/2 at Human Resources so Debbie could get a MediCal card to have surgery on her thumb. She has an appt Friday to see an Ortho guy. Will know then what the next step is. I guess she is staying here again tonight. I didn't get much sleep last night. I told her she could sleep with me if she didn't try to cuddle with me. She didn't but she sure did alot of moaning and groaning.

Tonight I am taking a sleeping pill, lol

Jaye, please do take care. It is bad enough we are going to miss having Kel with us (not don't let him get a swell head) but if you should get down.... we might just have to move the reunion to Tabor City!!!
