Today's Weather in Your Garden - 70

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It remained cloudy and cool all day, a couple of rain drops on the way to my son's 1st tee ball game.... hee hee 1st and 2nd graders are so amusing. Guess I taught him too well, he was pulling weeds while covering 1st base.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL... how funny is that Jen????... 62 now going to 78... maybe a thundershower

South Hamilton, MA

Starting out at 57° I think predicted to be in the 70s. Thank you Patti for your efforts for next week.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

52 here, should get up to the high 70's today.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

flowerjen, great image. Some clouds and some blue. Patti

Thomaston, CT

Send him over here, Jen! 60's now & partly sunny, but calling for showers later. Trying to get wallpaper off in bathroom, & paint on the walls....long, tedious job!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Funny, Jen.

Thanks, Patti. My pleasure. I've had more than enough of the craziness.

69 and mostly sunny. 72% humidity. Parents coming over.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Love that Jen, gotta train 'em right.
Looks like another winner today. Only thing to disrupt the sunny gorgeousness may be a passing shower, but the garden will like it. Partly to mostly sunny otherwise. Temp is 72 degrees with a light southerly wind at present.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I have to say that I do have some concerns about losing touch with my friends here on DG, should the situation occur that things go Poof! (not that I really think that will happen, but one never knows). I have many addresses and some phone numbers/personal email addresses, but I wish I had more, just in case. I know that some of you feel comfortable with putting your addresses on the address thingy here, but I don't share that comfort level. If any of you feel comfortable d-mailing me your contact info, I'll be making up my own address file for my DG friends. And of course, I'd be happy to reciprocate as well. Thanks!

Weather here.....70 and light rain. I've been shuffling plants around the yard this morning. Some full-sun plants no longer get full sun because of the encroaching shade trees, so they got liberated.

Bill - that gorgeous pink stone you found in our woods got moved into a more "front and center" location. Hank is extending the stone wall where we all gathered for the RU around the corner (closest to the house) for a quasi-serpentine line. The pink quartz stone is elevated within that new garden area so that we will walk right past it several times a day. I'll get a shot of it at some point here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just checking in quickly - enjoying the day with my parents. Not to worry, Louise! I have everyone's email and promise I will not let that happen.

Enjoy the weekend, all. Thank you to all who had relatives who made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

South Hamilton, MA

yes I gave my e-mail to Victor so you can get it there or from Jumper 2 who I know that you are in contact.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

69°, partly cloudy
- perfect temps here today, (& tomorrow I'll be at the beach! Yippee!) ☺

Thomaston, CT

It will be a beach day tomorrow, have fun WC. A few sprinkles here, but sunny once more & 75. A good day in all.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

It was a good work day outside, but by early afternoon, DH abandoned his shorts and went back to long pants with socks as it got chilly when the sun disappeared. Now it i feels like rain. 60 and blowing 17 out of SW. Big work day in the veggie bed, and we did plant the canna that we had stored last winter. I relayed some stones in a walk, transplanted an inkberry and potted up some plants that came from a cubits coop. I hope tomorrow is warmer. Patti

South Hamilton, MA

I was collecting anthers when thunder drove me inside. No rain. I did get some pictures & a couple of border iris crosses. both with my seedlings.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I miss read your post and thought you were outside collecting antlers. I am too tired tonight. Patti

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Well the other website is back up and running, guess they didn't have any legal grounds to shut it down????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Beautiful morning. 74 and sunny. Nice cool breeze.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

flowerjen, I would assume nothing except that the rumor mill is running on overtime and that the only sure winner is the lawyers.

Nice day here too. DH is doing some weed whacking and I am going to plant caladium and calla bulbs. I also need to put up a make shift tomato trellis which may be a total joke. But I am using what I have for this year and will copy the one Wha has built for his garden for next year....always next year. Just hoping we escape the tomato blight this year. Plants came from a Vt farm that had none of it last year. Have a good one all. Patti

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice sunny day but will be pretty hot. Bumping up to around 90 by this afternoon. It is quite pleasant right now at 72 degrees with a light northerly breeze. Memorial day looks nice too and a bit cooler.

Nice walking at the Nature Center, but the spring bloomers all went by. While I was walking Suey, I found a wild hairy penstemon in full bloom....really nice!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i got sun burned today - think the little copertone girl ad.

Thomaston, CT

Did the cocker spaniel join you?LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice day. Topped out at 86, but remained nice and dry all day with a good breeze. If it was just about six or eight degrees cooler, it would have been perfect.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

82 and sunny. Got DD a dress for graduation, and shoes. Then she and I went to the barn to ride before chores.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

no doggies - maybe i'll ask dw to take a picture:)

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

68°, wind E 2.4mph, partly sunny

Heading out to the South shore, going to do some exploring in some fishing hot spots I heard about, (scout mission only). May take a drive in the outer dunes while I'm out there.

Thomaston, CT

In the 70's now, should hit 80. Heading to the farm for a picnic.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Looks like a gorgeous day to remember all those that have served and sacrificed for our country. Sunny, warm with a light breeze. Temp at present is 67 degrees and climbing to mid 70s. Chance of showers tomorrow.
