Rained overnight. Overcast and dark this morning and probably for the rest of the day. Temp is 47 degrees and the wind is calm. Weekend looks good. Cleaned out the tail end of the back bed and planted a couple more things, mulched the rest of that bed. Can use a day off for the aches and pains. Hope to finish the circle bed and back slope garden this weekend.

Its 45 and overcast , chance of a shower later.
Headed Up North w/Brian for our Anniversary, hope to catch some fish! Have a good week-end everyone!

overcast here and it did rain last night which was needed badly - have been dragging the sprinklers all over the place. will try to get a jm or three planted today - saw a 15 gal. forest pansy last night at hd - on impulse i had them hold it for me - think i will cancel the purchase - do not know where it would go.

Mid 80's this afternoon and I hear thunder over my shoulder. DH ran outside after dinner to try to get some mowing done.

Thank you all from Hank for your nice birthday wishes for him. While we were in Bill's area, we stopped to see his magnificent gardens and what a great way to spend part of a birthday! The garden tour and visit with Bill was the highlight of the day!! It was cold here when we left, but it warmed up nicely while we were at Bill's. Now it's much warmer here. I think we might be beyond the cold temps now....ummmm, maybe!

Thanks, Allison! Don't send the storms our way please!! I'd like a nice dry weekend! Joint birthday party on Sunday for Hank and his oldest daughter whose birthday is tomorrow. Our grandkids will get to meet the puppies. The youngest is afraid of dogs, so we're noodling the best way to approach it. I think one on one at a time is best.

Gotta go check the long range forecast now.......insane not to have checked it FIRST!!! LOTS of impatiens are in, along with some annual salvia, verbena, allyssum, etc.

I am right along with you Louise... did a lot of planting today... my favs are in the deck rail containers... so I can bring them in just in case... the ones in the ground.. just have to hope for the best

Allison - I like the month-long forecast from accuweather. No night under 41 for the rest of the month. We'll see.....weather underground has it at 34 tonight. I don't think so. That's quite a range from 41 to 34 tonight! Hope it stays mild where you are too!

Too buggy here to sit outside. Can't wait until these black flies go to heaven or wherever they go......They're usually here until around Father's Day. The wind helps....or a fire in our outdoor fireplace at the Pit.
