Today's Weather in Your Garden - 69

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ugh - that's my hiking day!

Thomaston, CT

Carbon copy of yesterday....was actually sunnier at the farm......I like 70's, don't want the extreme heat!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

81 here now, expecting 91 tomorrow and 69 on Wed. The the heck!!

No power for 1-1/2 hours my GH plants are bowing

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sherrie, did you have a storm that knocked the power out?

No storm. Its hot and I the fan was not working and the plants are not hardened off so they wilted.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

The thermometer says only 84 but it feels much hotter out there in the sun. 90s for the next two days here. I like your forecast better, Celeste!

Thanks, Victor...I'm all better today!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

72 and sunny. I really need to weed- have a cold.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Bummer. Feel better, Lucy. I need to weed too. And plant. And start the pool. And do the veggies and annuals. And...

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Never enough hrs in the day, lol.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

They changed it to 80 for Wed. & Thursday Louise!

South Hamilton, MA

I find it hot in the sun while working--errands this morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon & documenting new seedlings.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ugh is right

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'll take the weather in this part of the country!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love these days... wish they lasted longer

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Getting too hot the next few days for me. Love the light!!

Thomaston, CT

I know I can never live out west!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

West is too dry and lousy fall color. South is too hot and humid. Upper MW is way too extreme.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I liked the West coast, but the soil is seriously different, and the drainage systems are unable to handle the short periods of rain they have, else non-existent, (the occasional tremors on the west coast are not cool either), plenty of hummingbirds though...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe all the hummers flapping causes the quakes??

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

lol!! They don't want to land!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

amazing how sporadic the temps have been... 80 tomorrow... 90 wed.. 80 thurs... bouncing all over

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - very crazy. Had the heat on two days ago and will probably have the ac going on Wed.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

67 and sunny. 87% humidity. Yuck! Hot couple of days ahead.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

cloudy this morning 64 supposed to hit 84.
It says, 100% humidity...can that be right??? wouldn't it be raining?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No. 100% just means that the air is completely saturated with water. That's why we had so much fog this morning. And it's a measurement taken near the ground, not way up where the clouds are.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

The HVAC guy is supposed to come and get the AC going. Had a new furnace and AC put in last fall. He said he had to wait til it was hot so he can make sure the refrigerant is adjusted correctly. I called him yesterday to make sure it gets done soon, cuz we are leaving for a week and the humidty makes it more difficult for mom to breathe. I reminded him that she is on an oxygen machine and to make sure we are first on his list of a bout a dozen that he has to do. We'll see if he makes it today.
66 and very hazy.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

70°, wind WSW 4mph, Rh 51%, sunny

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice low humidity, WC!

Good luck, Jan.

I'll start a new thread.

Hiding in the house today.
