the attached photo is my agway damage
and Rarefind damage is in my journal http://davesgarden.com/community/journals/vbc/onewish1/86942/

I love the Agway damage!!!! You contained yourself better at RareFind! LOL
I was going to buy just 3 of the stock plants... RANDY told me to get 2 of each color.. LOL
never grew the poor mans orchid before.. love them!!!
I have Rodgersia. It's nice. Great foliage.
I mentioned this today.... YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!!!!... anything I look up in PF Victor is there... mention a plant... Victor has it.. LOL... YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!!!!
Hee hee! I would like a Halle Berry plant!
Don't let the Rodgersia dry out. Needs to be moist.
that is more or less the only thing they knew about it.. part shade.. and wet... said you can just stick it in water in the shade.. Randy said he is going to put a dripper right on it for me
Allison, your stuff from Agway is actually colorized!!!!
i have Rodgersi here too - last spring from L S&S - i think the ferns are holding it back from full growth
My big clem order from Simplyclems was waylaid and Evey sent a nice explanation with extra cash and a refund. I ordered a few from Donahues because I just have to have the Bijoues and 2 for the Tree planting behind the Bressinghams Beauty. I will reorder the rest next year.
These are the clems for the Astilbe area.
nice JoAnn!!.. guess I started my black eye susan vines too soon... they are getting crazy and locking up to each other.. and why would they grab the sticks i put in the flat
ha ha thats a funny sight
i'm just going to plant seeds in the ground. Hope I see blooms befor August.
Onewish - you may want to try a "bog garden" for your Rodgersia. That's where ours is and we built/made the garden last year from an old pond liner. We also have astrantia and toad lilies in it and a couple of others I can't seem to remember.
thank you Frank... Randy has some crazy ideas that he wants to do this year.. we will see what we can get done
Placed an order with Deer Resistant Plants. Ingwersen's Variety geranium, agastache Cotton Candy, Blue Ice amsonia, euphorbia Bonfire, two choice hellebore, aconitum, mayapple, perovskia, a plum yew and a colocasia.
Nice, JoAnn.
Gettting the shoe horn out again Victor?
Yes! Just about all will go into the bed extension and a shade bed that still needs work.
ooohh I like the cotton candy!!!!!... I feel a cutting trade coming!!!! do I have any you like???
I'll consider it!
I got the dahlias- osirium and eveline from Sam's club today. I've usually grown the dahliettas, this would be a first this year; also a couple of roses- Mr. Lincoln and Pascali.
Looking at Thom's post I was curious about that strawbale gardening...looks like a great idea. I just may have to try that.
maybe I will get lucky & the summer glow is the plant coming back... I think you liked that one Victor
Rama, I've grown Eveline....very pretty. Allison....loved the plant selection. JoAnn & Victor, am drooling over the clems & the agastache.
I was going to try that Jen... until I realized the prep involved... didn't want to be bothered.. when I can just throw some potting soil in a container
I think a lot easier than prepping a whole veggie garden, no tilling involved...save me a ton of work, cause you know hubby won't help.
I think there's a forum on it.
Yep, found it I already saved it to my favs
Thanks Robin. I do not know when to get it in the ground.
Hay bale number 2 is done and over with. I'm going to box in the 3rd hay bale set up for the tomato and pepper plants. 1st bale is going to be bush beans on the outside and in the middle potatoes. Bale number 2 is going to be cucumber and zuchini, with potatoes on one side of the middle and carrots on the other. It actually looks really cool. I think I'm starting a local trend though...one of my neighbors has 2 bales, and my parents are going to get one for 3 tomato plants!
this is a big week - everything ordered has today as its ship day and i will be picking up sib iris's this afternoon from joe pye weed.
I ordered 16 dahlias from the market place her at Dave's. I got a great deal 4 bucks a piece including shipping. Can't wait to get them!
just back from picking up the sib iris's - if anyone locally orders from jpw you should try and do a pick up, incredible yard - no grass that i saw just flower beds and small paths - lots of granite stone.
Rama, plant your dahlias when the soil has warmed to 65....don't know when that is for you, but I have to wait until middle of May. Ronnie, nice buy on the dahlias. Bill, I had the sib from JPW's sent, planted them a few weeks ago....they look great. Thom, can't wait for your garden photos.
