Oh my Chris that is absolutely precious♥
So precious!!!!! Lucky Grammy~~~
She's just too adorable!!!!! I can smell her 'baby scent' from here!!
Now, Chris... Thunder... tell your kids to make more precious babies!!!
LOL, Jaye!!! Nope.. Kailey is the last one for daughter! She is #5 for her :) She has a 13 yr old daughter, 3 sons who are 12, 11 and 10.. then Kailey :) She had her tubes done right after she was born. My DS has one son who is also 12, so I don't foresee any more kids from him..although it'd sure be fun to watch him get wrapped around a little girl's finger ^_^
I loved seeing the pics of Thunder's little granddaughter ..what a cutie (I'm lurking over on that thread lol)
Chris, whenever me and Kel see babies.. we will tell each other "Baby Alert".
We can't help ourselves!! We're lucky that NO parents have punched us in the face or mercy, shot us. We tend to go overboard with the cooing and aahhing!!
But we never failed to say a prayer over all the babies that we see. That God protects them and that they will grow up happy.
Look at her!! How sweet is that??? She is a cutie Chris!!
I didn't come on yesterday, I was way busy trying to find a Mother's Day Gift for my dad's girlfriend, and I'm stuck on this one thing I'm working on here at work. The computer shows the numbers to balance this out, but it doesn't balance.
Ms. Cheerful is at it again ya'll!! I'm having a blast with it! LOL!!!
The day before yesterday I was looking for my dad's girlfriend a Mother's Day gift and someone asked, "Are you going to go see your mom after she gets back from vacationing?" I told him, yes, she's vacation in CA for the next two weeks but after she gets back home to OKC I'm going to go to her house, so we can celebrate Mother's Day then. We weren't even talking to Ms. Cheerful at all, but she started telling me that I need to send my mom Mother's Day flowers to her vacationing spot. My mom is in her motor home moving all around Central California from place to place every day visiting people for the next two weeks without a schedule, so it's easier for both of us to just wait, as it's not a big deal for either one of us, we've been here many many times before. I told Ms. Cheerful that it's no big deal to my mom, she would rather have me wait. She got MAAADDDD and screamed, "Well I would go put fresh flowers on my mother's grave!!!" I didn't want to say anything, but I couldn't help myself. Since her mom is buried not 30 minutes from her house I just said, "Well, why don't you???"
Yesterday OOOOOO it was comical:
Three of us, not Ms. Cheerful, were talking about saving money and someone said that they weren't worried about saving a ton of money because they are already 50 and might be dead in 20 years. Someone else, who is 51, agreed, saying they certainly hope they're not dead in 20 years. Ms Cheerful piped up and said that she's not going to be dead in 20 years, she eats way too healthy and works out every day to avoid that. She's been eating healthy and working out for 2 years. The gal who brought up this subject asked her, "How old are you?" She said, "58" The gal said, "Well there's a good chance that you might be dead in 20 years." OOOOOOOOO she got MAD MAD MAD!
I said, "come on, let's be realistic here, anyone of us could drop at any given second." Ms. Cheerful spun around in her chair and screamed at me, "Well not ME!!!" My mom called and I had to drop out of the conversation, it's probably a good thing because that's just a stupid conversation to begin with. LOL!!!
So far this morning I have been ignored...
Crissy, at least you can say "life is never dull where you work". LOL Some people just don't get it--do they?
Makes me not get it, I don't understand why they don't understand?!?
Some just don't have the capacity to understnd Crissy. They firmly beieve that their way is the right way and that's it. I totally ignore them when they start something as I'll be darned if I'll let them pull me to that level of argument. My ususal comment is "everyone has an opinion and ours are different" and then I walk away.
LOL..sounds like she's very afraid of dying and when you were all talking about it happening in 20 years, it set her off. I agree with Marion..obviously never a dull moment! But at least you know how to get a little peace and quiet LOL..
Jaye and everyone else..thought I'd show you my DD's family..this was last weekend when they (obviously) went to St Louis to watch the Cardinals play :)
So, from left to right.. Grant, Russell (my SIL), Raven holding Kailey, Jess (DD), Gage and Gatlin (the short one! lol) Grant is the youngest of the boys, even though he's the tallest! I've told Raven she can only carry Kailey after she buys a shirt that says "I'm her big sister, not her mom"!! LOL
Beautiful family Chris.
That shirt comment is a hoot Chris! Beautiful family. It's really nice that they do things together like that....
Crissy, it's bad when one's laughing behind your back.... but I can't help it to laugh at Ms. Cheerful lack of tact and fear of death!!
If she's one that knows the bible well, as you've said... she should know that we don't have an expiration date, and at anytime we can be joining our Lord.
Not for you to understand with women like that. Just accept her and let her be. Don't tempt with fools, they have more experience ;)
Oh Chrissy, your DD surely has your beauty!
I agree, lovely family there. Your SIL and DD sure know how to make family memories.
My late dad used to drag us to soccer matches, and then a good feast at an outdoors stall.
LOL I use it for amusement. I just wish I knew how the 'old' conversation ended! LOL She thinks she's above everyone, including Jesus himself I guess. She's afraid of everything, that's why she lashes out, most of the time at me because I'm not afraid, I may not want to, but I'm not afraid, unless it's tornados or heights LOL
Chris wonderful family!! How tall is Russell? I have a way younger cousin who's 6'9", but I haven't seen him in years.
Swap Swap Swap Swap City!!! LOL!!!
Crissy, Russell is 6' 7 and Jess is 5' 3 LOL.. so we're taking bets on how tall Kailey will be..she's been in the 95% for height ever since she was born :)
I plan on trying to make it to Oklahoma in August..I hope we can make plans to meet since it didn't work before I moved up here to Iowa!

Oh, thanks Barb--I needed someone to rescue me with the link.
Morning everyone! Probably last day for me to be at a computer, but I will check in when I can. I am leaving here at noon, driving to San Antonio, and flying out at 9:30 Friday. You all be good while I am gone. Taking Dad to Washington state for my Brother to watch for the summer.
Big difference in temps. Supposed to be 99 here tomorrow, and 55 in Washington!
Today is cordeledawg/deborahs Birthday.
Wishing her the best day ever for her to celebrate her day! We miss you girl, hope you pop in when you can!
Happy Birthday, Deborah!!
Happy Birthday Deborah!! We miss you girl!
Barb... to join or not to join.
I'm already behind in my sewing commitments, and I've signed up for Thunder's Quilting Swap.
So sorry, sistah. I rather sit this one out than disappoint folks.
Let's see.. I still have the 9 patch.. Marion's and Betty's...Thunder's...and I'll be busy sewing for the church Fall Craft Fair too.
Next time around, I'll be ready and the first to sign up!!! Promise!! Hope you get enough GOOD quilters!
Susan, how are you?? Hope Bob is feeling no pain.
Jaye, you did my blue and Yellow block...or if you are referring to the 9 patches...I have not done any of them yet!! no time frame there...that is an on going thing....(thank goodness)
Marion"s block was a blast to do...I am trying to decide what to do for Betty??
and I have too many thought for the RWB, got to narrow it down and start stitchin"
Err, Thunder, I was referring to your new swap!!
Thank God, there are only 2 left on the block swap. For Betty, I have found an easy pattern in one of the mags.
She's so gracious as to let us choose!!!!
It's in the 90's today.
Good only water one area of the garden before the heat gets to me.
Unfortunately, having to drag the hose is not helping neither.
Hope you have good weather in your area.
Mid 80's and windy. I don't like wind!!!
I just got the best news!! My dad, who will be 64 in June, just went to the VA hospital today and got his first ever complete physical! He's an alcoholic, has been for 35 years on Budweiser, and the only thing this man has wrong with him is his blood pressure is 150/85, and he was nervous in there so it's probably not even that high. That's great for me because my mom will be 62 in August and has nothing wrong with her, other than her nerve damage, her blood pressure is 120/80, cholesterol is right on target, and weight is right on target. This is such good news!!!!
Wonderful indeed!
I'm sure you're relieved!! Your parents are still very young. May they be with you for a long, long time.
Now you have to focus on making grandkids for them!!
yes great to know you have healthy genes to pass along....
Hello all - haven't forgotten you, HONEST!
I'm just trying to get past the stress........
Jaye - I keep trying to call you, but you're never home.....
Susan
Poor Susan!!! Sorry hun, we have a habit of not being home on Saturdays!!!
Happy Mama's Day ladies!!
You too Crissy...after all you're Tiga's mama!
Happy Mother's Day to all you blessed Moms!!
Bob isn't healing fast at all......... he can hardly eat anything. He tries, but it scratches his throat something awful. Guess it's back to porridge for him, and lots of liquids.

blessings everyone much happiness.
Thanks everyone! And Happy Mother's Day to ya'll!!!
Lots more prayers being sent Susan, for faster healing.
Jaye LOL neither one of my parents need to be grandparents. My mom has absolutely no interest (don't think that she suddenly would be interested if I had one, remember I grew up with her raising me and I KNOW her) and my dad is too stuck on doing what he wants to do, plus my dad live 4 1/2 hours from me and my mom lives 6 hours from me. Dave will be 49 in a couple of weeks and he said that he didn't want to start having kids 'this late in life' because he doesn't want to be almost 70 when they graduate from high school. I never wanted kids to begin with so all of this info is perfectly fine with me!!
Happy Mother's Day everyone.. hope you've all been having a wonderful day :) My DD and SIL took me, his mom, my youngest grandson and Kailey out to breakfast at Ryans..I do love their breakfast buffet :)
Then... you won't believe this..I took my first EVER motorcycle ride! LOL.. Doug called me and said it was a good day for a ride, if I was interested. I thought, might as well get it over with LOL.. but I enjoyed it! Can't wait to do it again, actually! He took me from my place over to my DD's house and back again. I had Raven, my granddaughter, take a pic for me :)
Have a great week.. I'm headed up to Clear Lake Iowa this Friday for a round up..my first one :) Can't wait to meet some of my fellow DGers!
Clear lake been thru there dozens of times ate lunch few times at the lake up town .. where Buddy Holly crashed right?did know the girl her Dad was the pilot but not that night i don't think.
usually they say they don't but would like to be or i think thats way it is Crissy.
much happiness everyone this new wek..
It's time to think about June in Ohio!!
Please go to this thread and tell me your thoughts!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1095804/
A lot of times it's true Hope, but not my mom, she's not a 'kid' type of person. She never wanted kids herself, she was on the pill when she got pregnant with me and got her tubes tied as soon as I was born. She also has never had a problem telling me this, and it would not break her heart if I never had kids, so yay! LOL
Dave was looking in the jobs last night and he found one in Hot Springs!! He's going to apply for it today and hopefully he'll get an interview.
Good Morning Ladies,
Chris, your Doug is a good looking man. And yes riding motorcycles is a blast!!! Doug and I ride as much as possible, even to the gas station for gas for the lawn mower. We are planning a trip to Oregon, to see my cousin Susan, then to Idaho to see my neice Melissa and 2 grand nephews, then onto Colorado to see my cousin JoAnn, then home.
I had posted in the other building pix from my trip to Carson City, NV for bowling tournament.
