System Issues (Part III)

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

This thread is for reporting any problems or slowdowns due to the server migration of a few weeks ago. Please post on this thread any issues you are encountering.

The more detail you can provide, the better (what time, what exact location, what you were doing when you encountered a delay or timeout message) is very helpful.

*Newsletter Update*

They are resending it as of a little while ago. A glitch was located and corrected, and they have high hopes that we're on the road to a normal delivery.

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

I just got the newsletter dated April 6 about 15 minutes ago! ^_^ (Happy dance!) ^_^

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Just received a davesgardenbhost server failed notice at about 7:04 pm. Can we fire that buddy? It was slow navigating the C&S forum when it crapped out on me. Went to the home page from tool bar and it opened up fine.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

It also acted up for me around that time but was back in seconds. It said my tab encountered an error and had to reload page.

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7a)

And I just got mine. Hallelujah! It was wonderful to see that familiar
Newsletter again perking up my overload of e-mail that is usually
all business and no fun.

Thanks. ♥

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Marlton, NJ

BIG Problem- Right now it took me forever to open or close pic in the Bird Watching forum or click on links to take me to other parts of the website.

This is the message I'm getting.

Database error: connect to host davesgardendbhost1 failed
MySQL Error: ()

Session halted.

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

Hi, I've gotten that database error/MySQL several times today.

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7a)

I got it once but it was over in a heartbeat when I
refreshed the page.

Montgomery, TX(Zone 9a)

I've gotten that database error/MySQL several times in plant files.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Are you still getting the error message? I was for a few minutes, but then it cleared up and I haven't seen another one since.

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

I got error messages this AM when I went from the DL forum to home, This PM when I tried to send a comment on the bird forums, & again when I went to go home from another forum.

Marlton, NJ

Not happening now.

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

just read pelletorys' post and got stuck here with this message

"Database error: connect to host davesgardendbhost1 failed
MySQL Error: ()

Session halted."

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

Just got the Database error within the DL forum twice while going from one thread to the next.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

No error messages but the site is slow again.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

They are doing some work tonight - most of it is on Gardens.com, but it is probably slowing down DG as well. I'll let them know we're still getting some database errors, timeouts and slowdowns.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

For those who had timeouts or slowdowns on the daylilies forum, can you tell me what you were doing immediately prior to the error message or slowdown?

Logan Lake, BC(Zone 3a)

In one instance I read the end of one thread then clicked to return to the DL forum when I got the DBE.I finished the thread then clicked on home and got the DBE

I just got timed out in the trees and shrubs forum then had to wait several minutes for davesgarden to load.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

This is no big deal, but I'm just curious about something I see on today's article about the iris. This is repeated numerous times:
Just wondering what happened?

What are you seeing repeated?

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Terry there is some code visible repeating throughout the article...

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Are you still seeing it?

I read the article this morning and didn't see anything out of sorts, and I just went and looked again and it appeared normal.

Can you change browsers and see if it clears up?
Also what browser are you using?

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

I'm using IE and I'm at work so no option to change to FF...

Hopefully this page grab comes through for you to see...

You're right. I see it in IE as well.
I'll let them know.

I'm surprised that no one called this to our attention before now. Thanks so much for the info!
