not sure the temp but the pond is iced over and just now starting to melt in the middle - wood ducks out there are wondering what happened.
Me, too! It has now warmed to a toasty 28...the stupid airedale went out at 6:30 this morn, wouldn't come in, then howled at 7...told him it was cold!

Thanks, Patti. We had a wonderful trip to Bok Tower yesterday. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place and this is the the latest in the winter we've been. In February the camellias are in full bloom everywhere you look, and in late March the azaleas and tons of bright annuals are very colorful. I couldn't get Celeste off my mind and tried hard to send her some comforting vibes as I was sitting on a bench in front of the reflecting pond. The Puppy Girls were extremely good for another long day of travel. They were also excellent when my bosses and their wives spent the day with us. We are both enjoying them so much! It seems they hit 6 months and just "caught on" to the drill. They're still full of energy and need lots of exercise and play time, but they are really fun.
Marilyn - I hear ya! How dare I indeed! LOL
Here is a shot of the amazing carillon tower made of pink marble and coquina shells. There is nothing like sitting among the flowers and listening to the bells.
I won't hijack this thread with more photos of the gardens. I'll post some on the Donniebrook's Finale thread tomorrow.
Hope Spring comes back for all of you up there! Hot here....my petunias are on their way out from the intense heat.

Same here, rain began last night and continues today, heavy at times. Also a moderate gusty SW wind blowing and a present temp of 49 degrees. More rain over night and tomorrow. All river areas under flood warnings again. End of week and next weekend are looking really good if we can keep from getting washed away over the next few days. Pump working overtime already.
This day is dismal. I could go back to bed.No I cant do that I would be up all night.

It is dismal! Rain til Wed.....tried to walk the dogs behind our dam, but it was closed off...ranger told me water was rising 2' an hour, & they were in the process of closing the floodgates even more.
Raining like mad here. We are NE of Boston & the SE coast is supposed to get a worse amount of rain.
40 and raining off and on all day.
We have another day of rain coming tomorrow, tapering off Wed. It is then supposed to be waarm the rest of the week, but hard to garden when it is so wet. Must do so however.
