Bright and sunny and heading toward the 50's. Patti
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 66
Started out below freezing this am but sunny morning and light SW wind will warm things up to high 50s before the clouds return this pm. present temp is 52 degrees. Rain tonight and snow showers tomorrow morning. Yuck! It will not amount to anything, but just the thought of it is depressing.
42 and trying to rain. I have to remind myself it's only March and will get better some day.
Yes, it's been a very pleasant March...babysat for GS today at the farm, & we stayed outside for an hour, then I came home & walked the dogs...should start raking, but I'm beat, & the weather will be nasty for a few days anyway.
52°, windchill 42°, wind SW 14mph, cloudy
The rain here turned into snow about 4:30. Roads are wet, but it's starting to stick to the grass!
As of today it's heating up down here. Beautiful day today here....two of my former bosses from Conn. were here with their wives for the day. We had a great time and the puppy girls were on their best behavior. Even I was impressed! :) Day trip tomorrow so I hope the rain/thundershowers won't screw it up. We have to be able to open the car windows for the girls and that's hard when it's raining. We're headed for Bok Tower - fantastic gardens around a beautiful bell tower; the gardens were designed by Olmstead. It's the highest point in Florida and the view of the surrounding countryside of citrus orchards is really nice. They also have a nice plant store and restaurant on the grounds. Fingers crossed for slipping between the rain storms!
Oh gosh, snow!
Rain hasn't started yet.
A touch of snow is predicted here, although presently listed as 61. Mother Nature has drunk too much.
Yup. snow. Calling for cold for the next day or 2. Warm up late next week.
rain & possible snow all day.. feels like I got punched in the face my sinuses are so bad.. barometric pressure is bad .. but we are at our high for today ... 43
Son is having the same problem w/his sinus's...screwy weather!
they are so bad I feel like I have an ear infection
Funny you should say that....he can't tell me so it's guess work for me and I was 'guessing' by the way he's acting that they are bothering him too. :(
:(
- hope you feel better soon Allison!
42°, windchill 30°, wind N 14mph, rain
thanks.. should be better when the rain is gone
35. Going down to low 20's overnight!
Feel better, everyone!
Says dropping to 14 tonight! Ugh!!!!!!!!!
bye bye daffs
30 here and same cold tonight as everyone else
March is March.
March has 49 days?!!
LOL
Rain finally started during the night. Lots of lightening, but no thunder. Still raining this morning, which is good as DH got some shrubs moved yesterday. I did the pointing and he did the digging, my kind of work. A big high bush blueberry, a Thuja, an Oak leaf Hydrangea, a Witch Hazel, a spirea and a lavender. He also moved a tall pole with a new bird house for the barn swallows. I hope they like their new location and digs.
I then took his shovel and started digging out the new bed, knowing full well he would take over once I made the first few cuts. He did, so I went back inside to my paperwork and he got a good chunk of it begun. I am heading off to Boston for a couple of days, so perhaps if he has any dry weather he will finish that project.
DonnieBrook, great puppy picture. Hope you had a wonderful outing. Patti

Man, it's brutal out there! Windy, raw and cold.
It has got windy and is really nasty out here too 40 F heavy rain and wind gusting to over 40mph, with more to come in a bit from looking at the radar map. I am delaying my flight to Hyannis. Not wanting to fly in this crap or drive to in it Boston either. Yucky. Crocuses will be flattened today. Patti
43 high of 47 it rained now it's windy
32 and sunny. Snow is melting in the sun and staying it the shade. The parking lot at work was ice this am, most melted by 11am except what was shaded by cars. A couple of yrs ago we had snow for opening day in April.

Yes, snow sneaks into April, & sometimes, May....one year my geraniums (annual) were covered with snow on May 9th. Sunny & low 40s here, very windy. Louise, how can you accuse those cuties of misbehaving!
my first daughter was born 4/8 and we had 10" of snow that day.
My youngest sister had a snow storm on her b-day when we were little. She was born 4/7.
It's getting way to cold out there. Blech. I can't believe this is just a few days after it reached the 70's.
Anyone know what happens to perennials (e.g., daylilies) that have begun to poke their noses out of the ground? I guess they'll die back but return (I hope).
What about bulbs? How will my daffs and tulips fare (some of the daffs are in bloom, but several more aren't quite there yet).
Mother nature's a tease.
Temp into the 20s tonight.
Not to worry, mbenson.
