Taking a break, iinto a movie but will finish watching later..oooohhh this working for a living is HARD! Aren't I a brat..

Yes LindaKay, all packed up, been searching for things to do on the web, got my USA $$$, picking up my travel insurance at lunch, got my swaps/envelopes addressed and ready to ship so yes, I'm ready..not staying long, should be home by late Saturday..

Tubby, you must be gaining strength if you are seeding..that's wonderful..do you have much luck with seeding hibiscus?
Got to tell you, I walked to the front and near the decking didn't I find some green, am sure if neighbors would have been up as early as I they would have heard me yelp...just too exciting to see growth..

Crissy, I'd give anything to get you and Liz together..the stories you could tell..omg Crissy you who is terrified of tornado's having to drive through a storm, you must have had white knuckles..glad you are taking some time off to enjoy your company, do they enjoy just visiting or being active?

Linda Kay, I probably will have to wait a few months before seeing hummers in my area...still no robins just the bluejays .. that reminds me, must pick up birdseed on my way home tonight..that squirrel that lives in my feeders will have to go on a diet ..certainly well fed..poor birdies..maybe I'll just scatter seed on the ground - wonder if bluejays will go on the ground to eat seed?

Stacey, Linda Kay told me that your wish was for a painted shelf unit, will be on the lookout for one or through my patterns for designs, not what I was thinking, nope, my thoughts was a large floormat for the baby's room that reflected your theme...close, both involved painting..lol..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Crissy, tell you what to do! Make you a little rag doll, about 6 in. tall. No face or anything. LET MS CHEERFUL SEE IT! Don't say anything about it, just keep it where she can see it. Tell everyone it's your good luck charm or something. Then every time she does something stupid, stick a pin in it, and don't look at her, but make sure she sees you! Then sit back and watch! It'll be interesting to see what she does! BE SURE YOU DON'T CALL IT A VOODOO DOLL! It wont be!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thank you, Liz - yes, I have a full plate, and it's breaking under the pressure I'm afraid......

And today's my birthday. I'm just feeling tired..........

We had a realtor come by last night, and he was saying the trailer is worth less than the trailer salesperson (Marty). I called Marty to tell him we'd be selling with his company, and he told me that the person that would have been our salesperson with his firm (she sold us the trailer to begin with and knows what he looked like before we made improvements....) has left the company just now. We have a newbie who'll be selling the trailer (started 1 1/2 yrs ago, but has sold 5 recently), with his help. Hopefully that means two people trying to sell it, but a lot of people are selling within our park......

Anyway, back to work - it's busy today

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Forgot to say, my neighbor showed me hyacinths I have blooming in my yard that I hadn't seen! Spring is here! 60* right now and will get to 70*!!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Well Betty-there is quite a while left, so no big deal here. I like the mat idea too, but the bedroom that we picked isn't that large and I want to be able to sit on the floor in there and play with the muncher....I had thought maybe later on, I could bring the little monster and maybe we could visit their Auntie Betty for a weekend or so.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Stacey, you just made my day...I'll find out your theme, lots of patterns in those boxes and am sure there is one with a shelf that has specialty painting on...

Happy Birthday Susan, how discouraging to get different quotes, here's hoping that between the 2 your place will go quickly and you and Bob can start another new life venture! what are you doing special for your birthday?

Audrey, you made me laugh out loud, omg what a funny thing to do, yep, I'd be doing it..Crissy, you want me to make you a NOT A VOODOO doll? that surely was my laugh of the day..is it something you've tried Audrey..what a sense of humor...

Rita just called, change in plans, she's picking me up around 7:00pm tonight..had to call Cathy and see if she'd either stay at the house or drop in from time to time to feed the critters...so I'm on a roll..

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Have a safe drive Betty and be sure to fill us in on all the treasures you find!!!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I won't have the theme locked down til June when I find out if it's a boy or a girl.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

June will come quick enough...so you want to know if it's a boy/girl?
How far is Janice going to be living from you Stacey?

Barb, won't be purchasing too many treasures, just a get away..lordy, if I'm only there 24 hrs. they allow me to bring back $50.00 over 48 $400. then you have to pay duty..if it's made in USA or Mexico then I only pay our taxes if not then I would think it's too costly to bring back..NOT good..

Glenview, IL

Woah! Slipping in the back door, lol before DH has time to figure I'm playing.

And most of all i hope you enjoy your pregnancy, yeah I know, the sickness is the pits, but it will go away and then you will feel Healthy...Hey start reading to lil one now!

Liz, Gawd girl, you get up before I even have my first dream, lolol...Yikes, dunno how you do it every day. But glad that when you get
that early morning time to yourself. Give kenny a loving finger donk in the head for me and tell him, to try and get a Good rest.
So glad to hear Granny is back to her mischif too, a very good sign.

Mary and Crissy, Wow, so glad you can get to work in your gardens!! Woohoo. Soon the pleasure will be all there from the smile of the first bloom.

Thanks Mary about the trip, I am growing anxious. Can't tell you enough we both are excited...We have come to the same decisions on what we would like to see so that is a huge plus. We are suppose to start Walking, to get in shape, Sounds like we will b making tracks visiting some areas in one day!

Hi Tubby, good to see you posting. I am glad you have gotten some good sleep, hope that continues.

Will try to get back in a bit.

OH LK!! Loving your Humming Bird, AWSOM catch.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

Good afternoon all! I thought I'd check in here real quick before heading off to the plant files and oh my! takes a while to catch up! LOL!

Betty I love those afghans, they colors are vibrant and gorgeous! I cant wait to see what you create next! Always fun to watch your work and projects. I think you keep many of us inspired to keep working on new things. I am sure you will have a fun trip, shopping at Joannes with coupons too! that can be dangerous! LOL

Crissy I feel for you. I know how it is to work with a person like "Miss Cheerful" (Love that name too!) and I know if you dont laugh about it, and vent about it, then they suck you right in and the next thing you know you are 'miss cheerful #2" to everyone else. :( I am so glad I dont work with that horrible lady anymore LOL! As for the DH thing, I just completely ignore him, but he eventually does see that he was into fear and he doesnt apologize, but he at least acknowledges that he was being a jerk. haha Glad you fared okay in that storm! and really glad you get some down time soon.

Hi Mary, Waving Back!

Tubby, you need more sleep and a table cant be as comfy as a bed! haha! I think I got 4 or 5 hours sleep last night. So tonight we should both sleep better LOL! I sure miss your jokes on here.

Liz Your granny sounds just like my mom LOL! I have a feeling that one day she is going to give me and my sisters a whole lot of gray hair :-D She wrecked her brand new car a few weeks ago and didnt tell us, didnt turn it in to insurance because she didnt want them to take her license. She really shouldnt be driving anymore. So my sisters are headed over this weekend to try to talk sense into her. I'm kind of glad I'm 1300 miles away from them right now, but that means she will be calling me to try to get me on her side. Oh well, it is what it is.

Stacey, LOL Please tell me you really arent going to name that baby 'little monster' or 'little muncher' ROFL!!

Hi Judy, waving!

My DGS come over last night to have birthday cake with me. He just learned how to 'sing' a week or so ago, so cute to hear his little voice sing off key and out of tune ♪♫Happy birthday, to you, gramma♪♫ over and over and over! It was the best gift ever! Then he proceeded to 'help' gramma blow out the candles... we laughed so hard because he was spitting all over the cake, but the candles stayed lit. then he would spit more! he's learned to sing, but not how to blow out the candles LOL

Okay gotta get over to plantfiles and get my work done before DS gets out of school!

Tubby, Got this from sister in law today and thought you might get a laugh out of it...

Satan and not being afraid

Church was in full swing...

Pews were packed. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church.

Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from the evil incarnate.

Soon everyone had left the church except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seeming oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence.

So Satan walked up to the old man and said, "Don't you know who I am?"

The man replied, "Yep, sure do."

"Aren't you afraid of me?" Satan asked.

"Nope, sure ain't." said the man.

"Don't you realize I can kill you with a word?" asked Satan.

"Don't doubt it for a minute," returned the old man, in an even tone.

"Did you know that I could cause you profound, horrifying, AGONY for all eternity?" persisted Satan.

"Yep," was the calm reply.

"And you're still not afraid?" asked Satan.

"Nope," said the old man.

More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, "Well, why aren't you afraid of me?"

The man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for 48 years."

Tubby

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL!!!! Thank you Liz! Yes, we do drive like a bunch of Nascar drivers, don't we! I get so T'ed around here, people stop to merge, why in the world would you stop to change lanes when everyone else is driving 70mph??????

I'm zipping it because I want to ask why in the world she's such an idiot!! Yesterday when she got the mail she gave me a check that I'm not supposed to get, it's supposed to go to another gal. I told her that it's a check and I'm not supposed to get them, she is well aware so I don't know what she was doing and assumed she didn't know what she was doing either. I put it in the gal's mailbox. Just a bit ago I was at the filing cabinet and remembered that I had put the check in her box, it turns out that Ms. Cheerful had a stack of checks she put in the box also, but in a different box (this person works a part time job out of this office, that has to do with this office but is a different intitiy, so she has two mailboxes.) The gal who takes the checks was leaving for the weekend and I told her that I put a check in her box, does she want to do something with it now or leave it there til Monday?" Ms. Cheerful yelled, "I put checks in your box too, but MINE are stamped, Christine's isn't." Oh ladies and gentlemen, she set me up for that like I'm not doing my job, but I'm ignoring it, I've got to laugh because it's her job to get the mail, stamp the back of the checks, and make sure they get to the appropriate person, so she just backstabbed herself, and she's thinking that she made me look bad.

Thank you to all the wellwishers, re: my Birthday yesterday - much appreciated, and you're much loved ^_^

how are you doing Susan? Any more word on your house? Hope your birthday was great...

Baton Rouge, LA

Just popping on to share some Joy.....

DS's High School Concert Band competed at "District Festival" today and received STRAIGHT ONES! Performance - 3 "1's" and Sightreading a "1" !
They are headed to State Competition !! DS played Timpani....might be the only local highschool to achieve that score....

If ya'll knew the story or have heard me tell of the band....it's really a heartwarming one...they are definitely "underdogs" ....very small...it's a public school in an area with a lot of wealthy private schools....etc.....

I'll pop back on later...just wanted to share...

Hugs,
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hi Barb - we'd decided to go with a Mobile Home salesperson, who knows them best. He said he could get more $$ than the realtor said he could.
As soon as we sign the paperwork, he can llist it.

My birthday was good - 4 Drs and a secretary at work sang Happy Birthday to me, and my boss (one of the Drs) bought a Black Forest sheet cake for me to share with the office. Our church choir sang to me at our practice, and I got a DG swap present on my deck that day, too. My DH got a pizza from our fav place for dinner (after practice lol), and I got many well-wishes from people that day and the next, plus loads of cards ^_^

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Morning-off to help MIL move today.

You all be good and have a great weekend!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Mary how wonderful. I'm not a band MOM but my DGS has been neamed first trombone and group leader. He is only in grade 8. I'm very proud of him and can't wait for Spring Concert.
Susan, sounds like you had a really nice day. That's wonderful and things seem to moving now about your housing.
Tink you better be good - NO lifting!!!! And tell Janice I said hello!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good Day, all you wonderful sistahs!
I need a bunch of sistahs to help me move excess out to a storage locker for staging of my house lol

Baton Rouge, LA

Thank you Barb! Trombone seems like a very difficult instrument! Your DGS must be VERY talented! Both DS's band directors played Trombone as their primary instrument...but the band is SO small...the last time they made Straight "1's"...(DS Sophomore year) ....they could not progress to State Competition because they didn't have a Trombone player....

I'm so excited for them...

Crissy - That's funny about Mrs. Cheerful...she's trying so hard to make you look bad...she ends up shooting herself in the foot....

Anjl - DGS is precious! I can just hear him singing....

Happy Bday to you and Susan ! ♪♫♪♫

Waving! Liz, Linda Kay, Bev, Judy, Debbie, Trisha , Betty, Tubby, Stacie, Audrey & EVERYONE !

Funny joke Trisha !

I just cut back my tropical hibiscus - ALL Five. I don't see any "green"....Not even the one by the brick wall. Hmmmm. Well - They are cut back at least. Maybe I've lost them...we'll see.... Seems that I thought I lost one before and it came back.

HUGS,
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Here's hoping your hibbie comes back again ^_^

Lyndonville, NY

Mary that is so awesome about the band! WOW! we are doing that type thing now.

Shane had the talent show last Thursday and they got Honorable Mention. And today is the State Wide competition for Academic Decathalon. On my way out now to see how Shane is doing and be there for the awards ceremony. He did really well in Feb. with the 7 medals he won. State wide....it is high competition for our little school. Its such a good experience, will see what happens!

Went looking for Betty yesterday....LOL Jeanna (DD) and I went to the Christmas Tree Shop and Michaels. No Betty.....I even checked the police report to see if she was trying to get "frisked" at the border again! LOL

Have a great afternoon...

Debbie (AND YES....Chrissy does drive like Nascar! Been in the car with her! LOL)

Baton Rouge, LA

Hey Susan - Thank you! They have till May to show me some Green ! I'll be patient. ☼
Wish I were closer...Id come help you pack up!

Hey Debbie ! Congratulations SHANE !!!! Academic Decathalon....wow - that's sounds pretty tough.... They ARE such good experiences for the kids... Wish I had a pic of DS and everyone hugging each other hootin' & hollerin' after the Band Director read the scores. The Director took his time...opening each of 4 envelopes one by one...announcing the judges name...calmly saying "1"...it was one of those Lifetime TV moments... and LOTS of parents were there as well...

Back later...
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Susan, for the offer - packing I can do (lost track at 40 personal moves), it's the staging of my home I need muscles (and time) for!! I have "extra" pieces of furniture, etc, that I need to store, and have to get busy doing it!!!!! Geeze - I shouldn't be on HERE should I LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, got in quite late last night, will go back and read all your posts, just skipped through them, Susan sorry I missed your birthday, Happy belated birthday!

We crossed the USA border at 8:30 pm..reason for leaving Thursday night is everyone said we'd have hours wait..drove right up to one of the workers, even stayed a few minutes to chat with him (talk about good looking young man..wow) as no other cars were in the area..he said that Friday they expected 3 to 4 hr. wait so we were pleased to have crossed when we did...

Debbie, you won't believe this, but I was looking for you as well at Cracker Barrel and Christmas Tree..we were waiting for the doors to open Friday morning at the Christmas Tree, by the time we left the car was almost full, lordy, need to find a truck to go with next time...Rita certainly enjoyed it...

Now you know we had to do Joann's next as it's 1 plaze over...I had printed off coupons..they had the accuquilt and die's..thought they would have had more to pick from but guess it's a fairly new product..I had printed off about 6 - 50% off coupons so that was 3 for Rita and 3 for me...

They had the 3" and 5" block for $29.99 and the plastic unit for each were $7.99 and $9.99 and then had the 1 1/2 inch strip cutter at $79.99 and the plastic unit needed for it $29.99 much the same as it is here..I asked the young saleslady if I could use my 50% off coupon and she said yes, providing it wasn't on sale..I was thrilled to bought the strip and 5" die's..

We shopped till we dropped, 11 hrs. in total with only a 1/2 hr. break, on the way back to the hotel we stopped at Joann's again, you can't go home with coupons can you? There was another teller, I picked up another die and gave the $29.99 plastic unit cover to Rita to put through for me and the girl said 'no' can't use coupons with accuquilt products...so the other teller still on duty because they were short staff came and showed her how to ring it in, got them all for 50% off, then gave her a 40% off for another die...what a savings...

With money still in our pockets we decided to stop in again at another Joann's right near the border, at that Joann's there was a sign next to Accuquilt saying coupons couldn't be used, boy did I get a deal..there was also a coupon flyer someone had set down and across from that aisle was an olfa cutter 24" x 36" so got to use the 50% off coupon so it saved me almost $30.00

As well I came home with clothes, material! Christmas Tree had the glass watering globes on 2 large in a box for $1.99 - bought 12 (Christmas is coming you know) then 3 solar globes, 2 birdfeeders, a metal flower deck holder and 7 metal plant hangers..then just browsing in A.C. Moore's I found a beginner's box of Genesis - heat set paint, we pay for this beginner kit about $119.99, they had it on sale for $69.99 then reduced to $25.99 so couldn't resist that bargain..

So you see, came home with lots/lots of goodies..

Cathy was here when I got home, omg, she broke down snow banks, cleaned all the Christmas lawn decorations, cleaned all the pine branches from back garden that I had set there when doing our floral arrangements at Christmas and did some other clean up..wow talk about a friend! She had been eyeing one of those bags I made so gave her one for looking after the animals and cleaning for me...

Tummy's hungry off for coffee and toast...

Be back after, just wanted to let you know I was home safely but broke! lol..but sure do love my goodies
Must go take a photo before I put them away

Clothes are put away but here are some of my goodies..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Working on my quilt as you go project today but at some time I want to play with Accuquilt..

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Got enough fixative flannel for about 6 more purses...more flannel for golf rag quilt and little froggies material

Riley is staying close to me..she must have missed me...lol

So will move at slow spead today and enjoy the day..pouring rain, no snow left, looks yukky but Cathy says if I go outside I'll see a couple of little white flowers already in bloom, must be paperweights...

OOOHHH also won the 'snow lottery' isn't that cool...

Also got my parcels off the March quilt block, Jeannine's pressie, spring fling swap, windchime swap and Bev, little something to brighten up your day...

All and all I've had a wonderful 3 days, got lots to play with, enjoyed Rita's company - her hubby said I could keep her..lol, laughed a lot so what more could I have wanted...

Laughing to myself, Mom and SF Jim want to go on the 22nd of April so have to save my pennies for that one..Debbie, big craft show on in Hamburg same weekend, mark your calendar! How's Paul doing?

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I haven't killed him yet....so he must be Ok. Its been close though!

We were all over the same area! We were in Target next to AC Moore, JoAnns, Christmas Tree, & Michaels....then over to the Mall to JCPenny and other stores inside. Jeanna started not feeling well, so we came home.

Shane won a Gold medal in the Academic Decathalon at State level....in Math! OMG! He hates math and it is his "weak" subject....we were all surprised! SO many intelligent kids there, the school over all did not finish as strong as in the past...but had a great time.

Saw my first Robins this morning....thats a good sign. And their romance was proof spring is in the air! LOL

Happy Belated Birthday Susan....sorry I missed saying so yesterday. I am just so scattered...more so than usual.

Needing coffee big time.....Have a great day.....and don't blow away. It is horrible here with wind/rain.

Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

We were probably passing each other Debbie..we ate at Bob Evans and there was a young woman who looked so much like you, she must have seen me looking, almost went and asked if she was your daughter....drats, we could have had coffee!!!
Did you find any treasures?

LOL glad Paul is doing ok...smart is smart and knowing you how could you give birth to anything less than a genius..tell him congratulations...

Maybe shopping for Jeanna was a bit too soon for her..

As for the robins, send them my way please...

Last time I was in Buffalo bought a metal patio set, when I left it was lost in snow, this morning I was able to set it outside...if it stops raining might even sit out!!!

Don't know about you all but my gardens aren't pretty, looks so dreary, some green though..thought to myself that here and there I could do some raking but knowing we've yet to get some snow I best leave the leaves for protection..

Cutting flannel for rag quilts..if I'm a good girl just might put them through the rag quilt die and when I'm ready to sew they'll be ready for me...looks far too easy!
